Jemeker Hairston Thompson was regarded as one of the top contributors to the 1980s crack epidemic in the United States. Her story was the subject of an episode in the 2018 Netflix series “Drug Lords”.
In the Netflix documentary Jemeker said that from eight years old, she wanted to have money by any means because her family was evicted from their apartment and their belongings thrown outside.
While still in high school she met and married a drug lord named Anthony “Daff” Mosley. They became established among Los Angeles’ biggest cocaine dealers, lived an opulent lifestyle and ruled the streets.
After her husband was shot and killed, undeterred, Jemeker continued in the drug business. When the FBI uncovered her activities, she went on the run for two years but in 1993, they eventually tracked her down and arrested her.
The possibility of being sentenced to life in prison was a rude wake-up call for Jemeker.
Desperate for help, she turned to God, promising to serve Him, if He would get her out of the mess she was in.
To her surprise when the court ruling came, she received a far lighter sentence than she ever expected. Rather than a life sentence, she was given 180 months. Keeping her promise to God, she gave her life to Christ and turned a new leaf.
She was further surprised by God’s amazing grace when she was released from prison even before serving out her full term in jail.
After her release, Jemeker dedicated her life to serving Christ and today she is a minister of the Gospel who teaches people that God gives a second chance in life.

Jemeker’s transformed life is proof that God is able to bring forth miracles out of mistakes.
Humanity’s greatest crowning moment occurred when “Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:6).
Despite the great weight of our sin, He took our place at the Cross and gave us the opportunity for a new life.
By His sacrifice the wall of separation that sin had erected between us and God was destroyed and we were “accepted in the beloved” (Ephesians 1:6).
The shed Blood of Jesus ensures that no matter how disheveled any destiny may appear, there can be restoration and divine completeness.
When Jonah disobeyed God’s first instruction and suffered the consequences as he cried out from the whale’s belly, God gave him a second chance.[Jonah 3:2) And because Jonah became obedient, God eventually used him powerfully in Nineveh.
Though we may sometimes make mistakes, as we return to God and begin to earnestly obey Him, our lives become the canvas where He paints incredible colors of His glory and grace.
Certainly, today as we make the choice to always walk in line with God’s Word, it will be our season to experience unprecedented new opportunities, amazing breakthroughs and blessings on every side.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the transformational power available to me through the Blood of Jesus. I know indeed that by the power in the Blood, I am delivered from every hold of darkness and set free to enjoy the blessings of Your grace in Jesus Name.

Looking up at the moon, it often appears like a bright beautiful ball in the sky. However the truth is that the moon is actually a dry and dark rock that has no light. What we call ”moonlight” is actually reflected sunlight because the Moon does not make its own light.
However, despite how dreary and dismal the moon is, because of the light it reflects from the sun, it appears to be glowing and beautiful.
From here on Earth, the sunlit part of the Moon usually looks bright, almost white. This is an illusion. The brightness of the Sun’s reflected light makes it difficult to see the Moon’s actual color from a distance. A closer look reveals that much of the Moon’s scenery comes in shades of dark gray, like rocks found near volcanoes on the earth. The Moon has volcanic rock from ancient lava flows ― and these dark-colored materials absorb most of the visible light that reaches them.
The moon is like a bad mirror, because it is made up of so much dark material, it reflects only between 3 and 12 percent of the sunlight that hits it.
The brightness of the moon is tied to its ability to keep reflecting light from the sun. The moment the moon stops reflecting the sun’s light, it would lose its glory and beauty and become like a dull dark orb in the sky.

Like the moon, we have no light of our own, but we appear bright and beautiful when we stay close to the Sun of righteousness. Jesus, who is the light of the world. The more we contact His light, through staying in His Presence, the more we can shine brightly upon the earth.
In Exodus 33:18-23 when Moses was on Mt. Sinai in the presence of the Lord, his face radiated with the glory of the Lord and the glow continued even after he came down from the mountain. The light that came from his face was as a result of being in God’s presence.
To reflect the glory of God in our lives, we must abide in His presence. The more we stay in the Word, the more we are changed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord.. As we look upon Him, our faces are lightened and we will not ashamed [Psalm 34;5].
Certainly, glory is the answer to shame. Therefore if you are dealing with any issue of shame today, the way out is to contact the glory of God through spending time in His Presence.
Our victory and shining in life is bound to our closeness to Christ. The more we receive Him into our lives, the more we will be given the power to live as sons of God. The more we know Him, the more we will be strong and do exploits.
Without Jesus we can do nothing, but through Him we can do all things. David said ‘I am as a wonder unto many; But thou art my strong refuge’ [Psalm 71:7].
Certainly , as we make God our strong refuge by spending more time in His Presence , we will become a wonder to our world as we break forth to realms of greater glory, beauty and color.

PRAYER: Father please help me to always walk in Your light so that Your Glory can continually reflect through me. May my light so shine before men that they may see my good works and constantly glorify You in Jesus Name.

Fuchida Mitsuo, was a Japanese pilot who was highly decorated by the Japanese army for his successful aerial attacks against America in world war 2. For his exploits, Fuchida was greatly hated by many American soldiers especially by Jacob DeShazer who was a young bomber pilot.
Jacob DeShazer’s hatred for Japanese people got worse when he was captured by the Japanese army and for two years he languished in their prison. But one day someone gave him a Bible and as he read it, his life was greatly transformed. At the end of the war DeShazer was released to go home to America. He later returned to Japan to establish a ministry that impacted thousands of Japanese people, among them was Fuchida, the Japanese hero, whom DeShazer had once deeply hated.
One day, Fuchida came across a story written by Jacob DeShazer about how he was transformed by the Bible. Fuchida became so fascinated that despite being a Buddhist, he bought a Bible and began to read. He was so impacted by Gods Word that he surrendered his life to Christ on April 14, 1950. His conversion shocked many people in Japan and made big News Headlines, But despite the oppositions, he remained steadfast in faith and began travelling as an evangelist around the world, sharing the story of his conversion and the transforming power of God’s Word.

It is indeed amazing how these two soldiers experienced positive life transformations through their encounter with God’s Word.
There is miracle power in God’s Word which can change anybody and turnaround any situation. The seed of the Word will always birth the harvest of a positive change.
Life is essentially a seed time and harvest time adventure. The harvest we reap is determined by the seeds we sow. To experience a positive change of story, we must pave the way for glory, through sowing the seed of God’s Word.
The more we look into the Word, the more we are changed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. [2 Corinthians 3:18]
If we desire to experience breakthroughs and break forth to good success, then diligent study of God’s Word must be our priority.
Joshua 1: 8 tells us that meditation in God’s Word will lead us to good success.
As our soul prospers through feeding on the Word, our lives will naturally prosper in all aspects.
Truly, no one ever gets out of life more than what they put into it. Likewise, our height of glory will be determined by our depth in God’s Word. God’s instructions will lead us to distinction. His ways will lead us to the highways of life and laying hold of His commandments will put us in command of affairs on the earth and elevate us to the topmost places in life.

PRAYER: Lord please help enable me to continually sow the seed of Your Word into my heart so that I can reap the harvest of positive life transformations. Thank You Lord for the overflow of Your blessings upon all my endeavors in Jesus Name.

Christina Stanton was an upscale New Yorker who had a successful professional career, while her husband worked as a finance executive on Wall Street. The couple were focused on pursuing material things and climbing higher socially.
But the events of 9/11 totally reset the course of their lives. They were living on a high rise building, close to the World Trade Center when the terrorists attacked on September 11, 2001.
One of the planes flew within 500 feet of their apartment and the sound of the roaring engines knocked Christiana down and out, rendering her temporarily deaf. She and her husband, grabbed what they could and fled, joining the throngs on the streets running for their lives. As the towers fell and the yellow debris covered everything, Christina felt death was near and suddenly realized how fickle life was outside of knowing God.
After surviving the 9/11 disaster, her worldview was drastically changed and it transformed her life. She no longer lived for accomplishments or pursuing worldly accolades. She sought a deeper relationship with Christ and began serving God in the missions field and spreading the Gospel around the world. She is author of the book “Out Of the Shadow of 9-11: An Inspiring Tale of Escape and Transformation.”

We must understand that we are living in the last days, which are perilous days on earth and we can’t afford to misplace our priorities.
There is an urgent call for believers to awake out of spiritual slumber and begin to truly live for God and His purpose. Indeed if ever there was a time to live with total focus on seeking God’s kingdom, it is now because no one knows the time or the hour when the son of man shall come!
Spiritually we can’t afford to go on a ‘holiday,’ or live like the rest of the world.
We don’t have to wait for a life-altering event to awake us to the consciousness that life on earth is temporary.

It is therefore time to quit playing and to begin praying and seeking greater intimacy with God.
We don’t assume, we know God just because we go to Church. There’s need to develop a deeper relationship with Him through daily quiet time spent in studying the Word, praying and worshipping.
The Presence of God is our safe Haven as gross darkness encroaches upon the earth.
Let us therefore make a fresh commitment to keep our focus on seeking God first and pursuing what He has called us to accomplish on earth. We must remember that one day we will be called upon to give an account of our lives, therefore we can’t afford to continue to indulge in spiritual carelessness.
Truly We need wisdom to maximize our days on earth [Psalms 90:13].
As we invest our lives in seeking God first and advancing His Kingdom, God will in turn make blessing us His priority and cause us to enjoy unending breakthroughs in every area of life.

PRAYER: Father please grant me the grace to always seek greater intimacy with You in prayer and the study of Your Word, help me to move deeper in my relationship with You because that it truly what matters most in life in Jesus’ Name.

JUNE 21; TAKING POSSESSION OF YOUR PORTION!

Deuteronomy 2:24 (MSG) “Here’s Sihon the Amorite king of Heshbon and his land. I’m handing it over to you—it’s all yours. Go ahead, take it. Go to war with him. Before the day is out, I’ll make sure that all the people around here are thoroughly terrified.”

John Nelson Hyde was an American missionary who was transformed by the power of prayer. Initially when he began his ministry he was not a very fervent Christian and didn’t deem it necessary to seek the anointing.
In 1892, he was on a ship taking him to serve in India, when he received a letter from a friend highlighting his need to seek for the Anointing. Angry at his friend’s suggestion, John threw the letter away. But later acknowledging that his friend was right, John then humbled himself and prayed to God for help.
When he arrived in India, it soon became obvious that he indeed needed power. He was one of only five missionaries in a territory of nearly one million unbelievers. The spiritual resistance to his mission work was so much that initially despite all his efforts he had no converts for 8 years. In addition, he suffered great persecutions.
By 1899, his prayer life became so intense that he began spending entire nights face down before God until he began to see breakthroughs.
The work began to progress and many men came to Christ in the Punjab region where he served.
However, his enemies and persecutors among the local leaders of the town were not happy. They sent a man to pretend to be a believer and stay with Hyde in the hope of finding something they could use to taint his image. However, John Hyde’s prayers generated so much power, that one day this man ran out of the house screaming and confessing.
The enemies’ plan to smear Hyde had failed woefully. Eventually Hyde’s much prayers resulted in the wave of revival that swept through India bringing many souls into God’s kingdom.

When you begin to generate fire in prayer, the hidden battles against you will be exposed and your enemies will flee.
Therefore to succeed in life, you must be ready to fight. Don’t be complacent about your destiny because life will always answer to valiant spiritual warriors who will battle on their knees.
Truly, without contention, there cannot be possession.
In Deuteronomy 2:24 God told the Israelites to fight Sihon the king of Heshbon in order to possess the land that had been given to them.
While this is our year to break forth on every side, we must contend in prayers to take possession of what belongs to us.
The truth is that what you do not pursue you cannot possess. Your level of welfare is determined by your level of warfare.
We must therefore be aggressive in our faith and actions to see God’s purpose and plan for our life fulfilled.
There are forces that will always try to resist your every move and keep you stagnant. If you don’t engage in spiritual warfare, you may not understand the reason for your lack of progress.
To see breakthroughs, miracles, signs and wonders we must pay the price of accepting spiritual responsibility. Certainly in this season, as we begin to generate much power through a spiritually fervent lifestyle , every opposition will be conquered and we will truly break forth on every side .

PRAYER: Father I thank You for the power You have made available to me through Christ Jesus. I receive the grace to persevere in faith until I overcome every enemy of my destiny and truly break forth on every side in Jesus Name.

Many of us today use digital cameras. They are often part of our smartphones which allow us to capture images and see them immediately on a screen.
Photography hasn’t always been so quick and easy, though. Once upon a time, cameras were quite large and a bit complicated. After taking a picture, you couldn’t see what it looked like until you removed film from the camera and had it developed. Through a process that takes time and care, the pictures would be developed in a darkroom, using the illumination of a special red light. The film would be transferred somehow to the paper and then the paper would be dipped in several different trays holding chemical solutions. As the photos are moved from tray to tray, the image begins to emerge.
But if someone opened the dark room door while, this process is going on, too much light would flood in and mess up every piece of film, and the pictures would be ruined. The darkness of that dark room made the proper development of those pictures possible.

Often times, God allows us to be developed in the ‘dark rooms’ of life. It is in those tough times, those seemingly dark place of challenges, that we are worked on and processed, until the right image of Christ emerges in us

God says in Isaiah 48:10 ‘Behold, I have refined thee, and not as silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction’.

There are times it may seem as if we are in the furnace of affliction but those times could actually be a refining process. At the end of it, we are coming out more colorful, more beautiful and with greater glory.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says ‘For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.’

Different situations may represent dark rooms for us. Even when the enemy brings challenges to us, God does not waste those trials. What was meant for evil could become a pruning process that prepares us to bear more fruits.

In the darkroom we are being processed to produce the image of Christ. Those are usually the times we pray more, fast more , study the Word and draw closer to God. In the midst of the challenges, a divine purpose is being accomplished in us
We must always remember that as long as we are walking in God’s will, whatever difficulty we may pass through, will only culminate in greater glory for us. We will come out better than we went in
The dark room is not your destiny, it is not where you will end up, it is only a process. Though, you may not see it now, you are becoming better and things are turning around. And when the process is complete, you will be fully developed to reflect the image of Christ and manifest the glory of God to the world.

The dark room is not your destiny, it is not where you will end up, it is only process. Though, you may not see it now, you are becoming better and things are turning around. And when the process is complete, you will be fully developed to reflect the image of Christ and manifest the glory of God to the world.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for granting me the grace to endure the necessary processes that will make me more Christlike. Whatever I pass through, I know I am coming out a better person in Jesus Name. .

Aleksander Solzhenitsyn was one of Russia’s greatest writers and historian. In February 1945, during world war 2, while serving as a commander in the army, he was arrested for anti-government propaganda and imprisoned at the infamous Gulag labor camp. He had to work in the labor camps day after day, in rain and snow, throughout summer and winter. Backbreaking labor and slow starvation filled his days. One particular day, the hopelessness of his situation became too much and he saw no reason to continue living. Laying his shovel on the ground, he stopped working and waited for a guard to come and mercilessly beat him to death. He had seen it happen too many times to other prisoners.
However, while waiting for death to come, an old prisoner squatted down next to him and traced the sign of the Cross at Solzhenitsyn’s feet and then got up and left.
As Solzhenitsyn stared at that Cross drawn in the snow in deep reflection, he realized that Christ had died that he might live. Remembering what Christ did at the cross gave him reason to decide to live. So he got back up, picked up his shovel, and returned to his labor. By God’s grace, he was later released from prison. Thereafter, he committed himself to writing books that would encourage others in their times of despair, to give them faith and hope that there is indeed power of deliverance in the cross.

The death of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary and His resurrection marked the end of our defeat. Through the price He paid, we were supernaturally transformed from death to life. At the cross, Jesus was mocked, and inflicted with every possible pain for our sakes. He took our pain and bore our infirmities. And through the price He paid, the handwriting of every negative ordinance against us has been wiped out.[Colossians 2:14].
The power of Jesus’ resurrection is ordained for the destruction of everything contrary to our destiny. By His Blood there is divine judgment against everything resisting our breakthroughs and breaking forth to glorious heights.
The Blood elevates us to the place of triumph in every contest. When invoked in battle, it disarms and destroys the bands of wickedness.
Therefore, whatever may be confronting you, be assured of victory because at Calvary Christ has given us superior weapons of warfare.
Today, let us begin to engage the weapon of the Blood, to fight the good fight of faith against every enemy of our breaking forth on every side this year. As we fight, we are guaranteed to win our battles because God causes us to triumph always through Christ Jesus.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You, that I have victory by the Blood of Jesus. Today I declare an end has come to everything resisting my breakthroughs. Surely, I shall always emerge the winner in every conflict in Jesus Name.

In 2005, Marcus Luttrell was among a four-man Navy SEAL team that was sent on a secret raid to Korangal Valley in Afghanistan. Their mission was to capture Ahmad Shah, a local Taliban warlord who was responsible for killing several U.S Marines.
Late in the night the four soldiers were dropped by a helicopter in the bushes to wait for the opportunity to strike Ahmad Shah.. But trouble started when they were unexpectedly, by daybreak, they were discovered by some village sheepherders who went and informed the Taliban.
A great number of the Taliban fighters came after them and a huge gun battle broke out. Three members of the team were killed, but Marcus managed to escape. As he ran, Marcus kept praying to God for divine deliverance. God showed up and brought him help from unexpected sources.
The next day, Marcus came to another village where he was discovered by a man named Mohammed Gulab who took him in to hide him.
When the Taliban came looking for Marcus to execute him, Mohammed and the people of his village refused to give him up. For his sake they risked their lives to engage the Taliban in a battle. Eventually Mohammed was able to contact the American base in Afghanistan who came and evacuated Marcus to safety.
In a 2007 interview with CBN News, Marcus said he survived only because God miraculously answered his prayers for deliverance.
Having retired from the military, today, Marcus goes about telling people about Jesus and the story of God’s amazing goodness.

God, indeed does answer the cry of those who call upon Him in distress( Psalm 18:6).
No matter how formidable any situation, when you call upon God, He will change the tide of the battle in your favor.
We serve the God of excessive power, excessive grace, and excessive might. There is no problem, trouble, situation or circumstance that God cannot handle.
Any time you face what seems an insurmountable battle, do not panic. Don’t think that it is the end of the road. As long as you can keep your focus on God, be assured that help is on the way. God knows how to orchestrate miracles in ways and manners that exceeds our every imagination.
He can raise help for you from unexpected quarters and bring strangers to your aid. For your sake, God can move mountains, cause walls to fall and perform miracles.
Truly, in God, we have an immovable rock that we can always run to. The key to experiencing His divine deliverance is seeking more intimate knowledge of Him.
God says in Psalms 91:14-16 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.”
We set our love upon Jesus by obeying His commandments. In John 14:15, Jesus said ‘If you love me, keep my commandments.’
As we seek and keep His commandments, we are making a spiritual investment that will answer for us in the day of trouble.
Certainly, through faith in God’s Word we will keep escaping every gang up against our glorious destiny and keep breaking forth to higher grounds in every area.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for You are able to deliver me from any tight and tough situation today. Thank You Lord for always hearing me when I call and answering me speedily in Jesus Name.

As a young man, Charles Finney relentlessly pursued a career in the legal profession. At the same time, he also served in the local Presbyterian church, leading the choir. However, while he outwardly appeared to be a Christian, inwardly he was never sure of his salvation.

One day, he decided that he must settle the question of his soul’s salvation. So he went alone into the woods, kneeled by a log, and prayed earnestly until he had fully surrendered his life to Christ.

His conviction was so strong that the next morning at the law office, Finney directed his client to find another lawyer because he was giving up his law career to become a preacher.

Thus, Finney’s revivalist career was launched.

He often went to the pulpit like a lawyer, determined to win his case and win souls for Christ.
In most places he preached, he ignited a revival fire that brought transformation to the town. The crime rates would drop so drastically that the courts had little to do and the jails stayed empty for years.
Today, Charles Finney is regarded as one of the greatest revivalists in Church history. He is called the “father of modern revivalism” and paved the way for later revivalists like Dwight L. Moody, Billy Sunday, and Billy Graham.

When Charles Finney took time to pray for his soul’s condition, he received a revival fire that affected his generation.
The issue of our soul is too precious to be based on assumptions. Therefore, as we run the Christian race, we must constantly carry out a heart check to be sure we are in right standing with the Lord.
The word Christian means to be Christlike. If therefore as Christians we are not daily becoming more like Christ, then we should examine our lives before it is too late.
2 Corinthians 13:5 says, ‘Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.’

Being an active church member is not an automatic passport to Heaven; it is our personal commitment to Christ that matters most. To this end, we must discipline ourselves to run the race of destiny with total focus on Christ.
Competitive long-distance runners lay aside everything and run with only what is absolutely necessary so as to win their race. 1 Corinthians 9:24 admonishes us to run in such a way as to obtain the prize.
Since our ultimate goal is to become Christ-like, let us lay aside every sin, habit, attitude, and anything else that is a burden to our race.
Through focusing on God’s Word and walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit we will become daily more like Christ and break forth into a realm of power and anointing.
Just as Christ was a marvel during His ministry on earth, so shall we be a wonder to our world through the undeniable manifestations of miracles in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to become more like Christ every day. Please help me to lay aside every burden to my race and constantly seek the fire and power that will positively impact my world in Jesus name.

John Wesley was known for his lifestyle of fervent prayers. He would rise up at 4 am every day to seek God for the first four hours of the day. In his later years Wesley was known to spend up to 8 hours in prayer. He always prayed with an open Bible, as he was always seeking a word from the Lord
His room where he constantly prayed every morning came to be known as “The Powerhouse of Methodism’. He eventually became the leader of a revival movement and founded the Methodist Church.
Wesley always lived in view of eternity and was determined to declare the whole counsel of God, warning men of the dreadful consequences of rejecting the Gospel.
Consumed by the thought of the shortness of time, the great work to be done, and the need for haste in doing it, he worked hard to accomplish all he possibly could within his lifetime.
He marched through cities, preaching, teaching, pleading, and warning men to repent and make peace with God while there was still time. As Wesley preached, the power of God often came upon his listeners, and hundreds would fall under the power of the Spirit and many were healed of their infirmities.
He lived a life of great impact that continues to positively affect the world even today.

It is our degree of commitment in seeking God that will determine our level of manifestation of His power in our lives.
Today, we are living in perilous times where there’s a great need for the manifestation of the sons of God.
As things gradually come to a climax on earth it can no longer be Christianity as usual for us. We must do whatever is required to manifest the glory and power of God to impact the lives of men.
To this end, there is a need for us to grow spiritually because we can’t give what we don’t have.
As children of God, we are destined to affect the world around us positively through our gifts and callings.
Wherever we go, we are to burn with the fire and fervency of the Gospel, shinning the light of Christ into the world to draw men into God’s kingdom. As we do this, God promises to establish us as stars that will shine forever.
Daniel 12:3 says ‘And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.’

In these last days, as the signs of the end-times increase, it is God’s plan that we position ourselves to affect as many lives as possible for Christ.
Let us therefore utilize the time we have to focus on the needed preparation for the manifestation of God’s glory in these end-times.
As we diligently seek God, it is only a matter of time before we break out to our season of mighty manifestation of power that will greatly impact the world for Christ.

PRAYER; Lord, thank You for renewed appetite for Your Word and fresh fire on my prayer altar, so that I will always burn with the fervency and zeal to spread the Gospel wherever I go in Jesus Name.

The treasures of God are never on the shallow end, but are always buried in the depth of God’s Word. It takes a personal discovery to get there. – WORDBITE 222.
