JANUARY 6; ARISE AND SHINE!

Isaiah 60:1-2 ‘Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.’’

‘50 Years with the Golden Rule’ was authored by the business icon, James Cash Penney. It is the story of the global company he started and how he learned to rely on divine help
In 1902, James Penney opened his first store. Though he was the son of a Baptist pastor, he had little faith in God, but rather through his own strength and determination he tried to expand his business, the JC Penney Company.
As his stores began to thrive, Penney became relatively wealthy and in 1929, he was worth $40 million. It seemed he had indeed been able to succeed by his own efforts, without seeking God..But by the next year tragedy struck! The stock market crashed, leaving him in total financial ruin. His debts exceeded $7,000,000 and overnight Penney went from being a very rich man to becoming totally bankrupt. Unable to bear the weight of this calamity, he collapsed. When he was admitted into the hospital, he didn’t even have money to pay his medical bills.
In that period of despair, Penney finally turned to God for help and completely surrendered his life to Christ.
After his spiritual renewal, he became totally healed and eventually rebuilt his company. This time he succeeded beyond his wildest expectations as corporate sales ran into billions and his business expanded to eventually become a very successful global venture.

Proverbs 11:28 says ‘he that trusteth in his riches shall fall’.
God is the true source of success. It is His blessings that makes rich and adds no sorrow with it.
We experience true prosperity, multiplication and expansion when His glory comes upon us.
His glory brings about wealth. The first time the word “glory” was given a mention in the Holy Bible, it was used to refer to wealth and to riches in Genesis 31:1 which says “And he heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father’s; and of that which was our father’s hath he gotten all this glory”‘.
When glory shows up, there is a supernatural transfer of wealth from the kingdom of darkness into the Church; the wicked go broke and the saints become economically empowered!
This year, the glory coning upon the Church will be manifested through a massive wealth transfer. Wealth will be falling like manna upon many believers. But we must first be prepared for this glory invasion by building a strong spiritual foundation of total dependence upon God. It is preparation that leads to manifestation.
As we begin to seek the Lord with greater fervency in this season of prayers, surely it will be our time to arise and shine for our light will come and the glory of the Lord shall arise upon us.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the glory You are set to manifest in my life. By the turnaround power of the Holy Spirit, I know I am about to see positive changes and enjoy divine success and unprecedented progress in Jesus Name.

During the tryouts for the 1980 Olympics Spud Alford‘s dreams were shattered when he suffered a knee injury and collapsed before an audience of about 30,000 people.
This was followed by worse news of the discovery of a cancerous tumor under his right rib cage. While he was being prepared for major surgery, something miraculous happened. An old friend, who was a Christian visited Spud and said God had sent him to pray for his healing. After the prayers, doctors could no longer find the tumor. Touched by the miracle, Spud almost surrendered his life to Christ but he felt serving God may tamper with his focus of being an Olympic medalist. He soon returned to training for the 1984 Olympics. But his plans only kept facing frustrations until one day he finally stopped running from God and surrendered all to Christ. Eventually, Spud’s Olympic dreams faded away. Then in 1989, he got an idea to develop a board game based on finger football. His company succeeded greatly and became globally recognized. His boardgame has since expanded into soccer, baseball and golf. The success that eluded him through direct participation in sports, he finally found in a more fulfilling way as he began to serve God.

It can be tempting to follow our own ambitions and not seek God’s vision for us. But leaning on our own understanding can lead to struggles and frustrations.
To live in overflowing blessings, we need Christ to lead us into the glory He has preordained for us.
As the redeemed of the Lord, you are the vehicle through whom and to whom He is going to bring His glory to bear on the face of the earth. There are things that God has destined to do in you, through you, and by you that will be a marvel to all.
This year, there is a call of God upon your life. It is a call out of sin and shame to glory and honor.
But for that to happen, you must take your sanctification to the next level.
To manifest glory holiness has to be our story.
While it is God’s desire to lead us to prosperity, He will first do a divine reset in us and bring us into alignment with His will.
Jesus died to redeem us from the curse of limitations and usher us into a life of unlimited blessings and glory.
Revelation 5:12 says He is the Lamb that was slain to bring to us power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory, and blessing.
As we walk in obedience to Christ this year, certainly, we will arrive at our own Rehoboth where room will be made for us in the land and we will have open space to prosper!

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always prioritize Your will above my own choices and desires. As I follow Your plans I thank You for causing my life to overflow with blessings in Jesus Name.

The shining of the moon at night is the reflection of the sun bouncing off the surface of the moon, appearing to us on Earth as moonlight. Science tells us that the Moon reflects the light of the Sun in accordance with its orbital position. So the light we see coming from the Moon at night is an illusion, it is actually the reflected light from the Sun. This is like flashing a torchlight at a mirror and seeing the reflection elsewhere.
The moon doesn’t have a light of its own, It only borrows from the magnanimous sun, and simply positions itself at a particular angle to the sun and shines. The Moon is actually very dark – like coal, and it doesn’t even glow on its own. Its surface is of a dark grey color. and because of its dark color and bumpy surface, it only reflects about 12% of the light that hits it. Indeed, the moon would have been just a dull orb if not for the sun’s rays. The sun generates the heat and light, while the moon simply positions itself rightly to reflect the sun’s glory.

Just like the moon reflects the glory of the sun, God has ordained the Church to reflect His glory upon the earth.
The Holy Bible refers to the Church as a mystery. Mystery speaks of something that is hidden, something that is concealed by God in a particular place. God’s plan for the Church throughout the Old Testament was hidden but in the New Testament, God unveiled the fullness of the plan of redemption He had for mankind.
That plan is to make believers a wonder to the world, through the display of the manifold wisdom of God.(Ephesians 3:9-10).
As a member of the Church, you are God’s chosen vessel to manifest His manifold wisdom to the world. Therefore get ready this year for the great glory that will be revealed in you.
Just as the moon shines because of its positioning to the sun, for us to shine we must stay rightly positioned to the Son of righteousness. Our shining is not from us, rather it is from Christ in us, the hope of Glory.
In this New Year let us take the right spiritual positioning by drawing closer to God through investing in the diligent study of the Word.
As long as we walk in the Word of God, our lives will follow a divinely orchestrated course that will culminate in the manifestation of God’s glory.
In this New Year, let us continually praise God and bless Him because of His plans to invade our lives with glory and turn us into living wonders.

PRAYER; Lord I thank and bless You for the great and marvelous things You are set to do in my life in this New Year. Please help me to position myself rightly to manifest Your glory in Jesus Name..

Nora Lam founded the World Children’s Fund. From a rough beginning in life, she was lifted to global prominence by God ‘s grace.
Nora was abandoned at birth in 1941, but six months later she was adopted by a wealthy couple who gave her the best of education. In her teenage years she became a Christian after being enrolled in a prestigious boarding school run by Presbyterian missionaries. At this time in the 1950’s, a Cultural Revolution started which required everyone in China to come under the working class. Upper-class families were severely attacked including Nora’s wealthy parents. Their home was seized and her father was arrested. Nora herself would later be arrested for being a Christian.  When she refused to denounce Christ, her captors commanded her to be executed.  Nora was blindfolded and pushed into a courtyard in the night before a firing squad. But as she cried to God, suddenly a strange wind started to blow, and a storm began. On the official’s command, “Fire!” guns exploded but no bullet touched Nora! A lightning bolt from heaven struck the courtyard, frightening the soldiers who made no further attempt to kill her. She was later released from prison and traveled to America at the invitation of the famous healing evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman. Kathryn gave Nora a platform to share her amazing testimony which was later recorded in her autobiography, ‘China Cry.’

As a believer in Christ, when you’re in a situation that seems impossible, you’re in a perfect position for God’s glory to manifest through you. When the 3 Hebrew boys faced the fiery furnace, it looked as if it was over, yet God showed up right there in the midst of the fire and brought deliverance to them.
Conditions that seem too late to men, is never too late for God. Sometimes God delays so that greater glory can be revealed. In John 11, it seemed as if Lazarus’ case was hopeless, yet Jesus showed up and did a resurrection miracle that brought great glory to God.
When you’re in a difficult situation, very often this is for greater glory to be revealed in you.
2 Corinthians 4:17 says ‘For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory’
No matter what circumstances you may face, keep your faith strong. If God allows you to face a Goliath, it’s because He has put a David in you.
And that very battle that seems greater than you, will end up enthroning you. The difficulties many of us passed through last year were only preparation for something greater this year. Those past sufferings will not compare with the glory which shall soon be revealed in us.(Romans 8:18).
This year, let us hold tenaciously to God’s Word, and in every situation, keep thanking Him, because great glory is coming our way and soon our lives will become an amazing testimony of God’s miracle working power.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to focus on Your Word and remain strong in faith, because i know You are committed to my change of story this year. Thank You for Your greater Glory that is being revealed through me, in  Jesus Name.

When war came to Korea during his teenage years, things were so bad that David Yongi Cho’s family suffered terribly. Cho managed to eat just one small meal a day. By 1953, the malnutrition led to an enlarged heart, and tuberculosis invaded his lungs.
At only 17 years of age, he was sent home to die. Cho’s father prayed to Buddha, but nothing happened.
As Cho waited for death in a small shack, a young woman came to tell him about Jesus.
She ignored his attempts to scare her away until he eventually caved in. In his weakened state, Cho walked to an American mission and responded to the call to accept Christ.
His family renounced him as an “unholy Christian dog,” but an American missionary, Louis Richards, took him into his home and encouraged him to look to Jesus for healing. One night in prayer, Cho had a vision of the glory of Christ that overwhelmed him and he began to speak in tongues. From then on, he began to recover until the doctor soon noted that the tuberculosis was gone and his heart had returned to its normal size. Cho later trained to become a pastor and founded the Yoido Full Gospel Church. From a small tent in an impoverished neighborhood outside Seoul, the Church grew exponentially to become the world’s largest congregation.

The invasion of God’s glory in the life of David Yonggi Cho raised him from a death bed, to a place of global prominence.
At the point of redemption every believer become set apart for glory . At new birth the process for glory commenced in your life.

Romans 8:30 says “Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
Every salvation journey is meant to culminate in glory.
God wants to elevate you so that through you He can fill the earth with His glory.
To connect to the plan of glory invasion this year we must stay connected to the Word
The more we look into God’s Word, the more we are transformed by the Spirit of God from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18).
As we keep our gaze on God’s Word we will be filled with the faith to rise above every valley and reach mountaintops of victory.
This beginning of the year is a good time to get ready for greater heights by going deeper in diligent study of the Word, fervent prayers and passionate worship..
This year, refuse to be stagnated or defeated, you’re not a victim, you’re the victor. No matter how gloomy the past year, we have come into a new year of greater things. By the invasion of God’s glory you will certainly, experience a forceful positive turnaround in every area.

PRAYER; Lord I thank You because You are forever faithful and You never fail. I know that even right now by the power of the Spirit, You are supernaturally changing my story and manifesting Your glory through amazing signs and wonders in my life in Jesus Name.

Alleluyah! Today is a brand new year!
What a joy to finally cross over to 2025!. To God be all the glory!
It is our season to see the invasion of glory in our lives.(Habakkuk 2:14)
For as the waters fill the sea, so shall the earth be filled with an awareness of God’s glory , through the happenings in our lives this year.
This manifestations of glory will be changing our story in unprecedented dimensions.
The glory of God took a young boy named Rodney Smith from a low life of poverty to a high life of global impact.
Throughout his lifetime, Rodney Smith never attended a school at any point, yet God used him to influence the lives of millions of people worldwide.
On November 17, 1876, Rodney got converted at sixteen years old and vowed he would live for God and serve Him faithfully.
Though uneducated, he got a Bible, English dictionary and Bible dictionary and carried them everywhere causing people to laugh at him because they knew he couldn’t read. Rodney taught himself to read and write and he preached and sang so well that he was invited to become an evangelist with the Salvation army. For the six years, Rodney served with them , crowds gathered to hear his preaching and 23,000 decisions were made for Christ. Rodney later struck out on his own ministry and worked with a variety of organizations all over the world. He conducted evangelistic campaigns for over 70 years and became a household name in many parts of the world and influenced the lives of millions for Christ.

Just as Rodney Smith started from humble beginnings but was elevated by God’s glory so shall there be a sudden invasion of glory in our lives this year.
It doesn’t matter how small a man’s beginning through connection to God’s glory he will surely enjoy a dramatic change of story and end up great.
When God originally made man, He crowned him to reign over His creation. The crown God placed on man was not gold or diamond, but a crown of glory and honor. Adam lost it through sin, but redemption and restoration has come through Christ.
Therefore it doesn’t matter what may have robbed you of glory in the past, this year can be a pivotal year to greater things as we go higher in our walk with Christ.
With the previous year and all its challenges now behind us, it is time to have a fresh start . As we step into this New Year, let us not remember the former things, rather let us press forward in the high calling of God that awaits us. It is time to experience new levels in God and move into the great and mighty plans He has for our lives.
It is certainly the dawning of a new day! This is our season to truly arise and shine, for our light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon us.

PRAYER: Father, I am grateful that You enabled me to see this brand New Year. Thank You Lord! Please grant me the grace to seek You diligently this year so as to experience a full manifestation of Your glory in every aspect of my life in Jesus’ Name.

DECEMBER 30; OUR RACE OF GRACE!

Psalm 65:11 “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.”

The Marathon race, was first introduced at the 1896 Modern Olympics. And ever since, yearly in Greece the marathon race has always been run from the town of Marathon to Athens, This race  considered by many athletes as the ultimate race experience, is also perhaps the most difficult major marathon race in the world. It features the toughest uphill climb of any major marathon and was a race only won by expert athletes.
It was however a very big surprise when on April 6, 1969, an amateur runner won this tough race. The unlikely winner Bill Adcocks was a gas fitter with feeble knees and no proper running shoes. Yet amazingly he covered the fearsome Marathon-Athens race course in an astounding 2hr 11min 7sec. His record was so high , many athletes struggled to come close to it.
Even professional athletes found it difficult to surpass. It would remain unbeaten for the next 35 years until finally broken in 2004.

Many of us are like that amateur athlete, who managed to accomplish what professionals couldn’t.Certainly our race this year has been by grace.
At the beginning of the year none of us had  a full picture of what 2024 would be like, we were like amateurs running through the year’s calendar. And it has been a race through 365 days, 52 weeks, 12 months, 8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes and 31,536,000 seconds. But God saw us through every inch of this race. By God’s help we have run through tough barriers and leaped over insurmountable walls. Our story is a reflection of Psalms 18:29 which says “For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall”
Indeed by our God we have successfully run through a very difficult year, and accomplished what even those better equipped couldn’t.
In a worsening economy and increasing financial hardship, we have recorded, breakthroughs, open doors, promotions and breaking forth to higher dimensions. Severally, God made ways for us where there seemed to be no way. He has crowned the year for us with good things (Psalm 65:11). We are just a day away from 2025, and the main way to spend these last hours of 2024 is in earnest praise and appreciation to our God who has done all things well for us.

PRAYER: Lord, I truly and deeply appreciate You for all You have done for me this year. If it has not been for You where would my family and I be? Father I am grateful. May all honor, worship and adoration be unto You alone, now and forever in Jesus Mighty Name.

DECEMBER 29; RECOUNTING GOD’S FAITHFULNESS!

Diana Burgess is a Christian motivational speaker, who often shares her testimony of God’s amazing faithfulness.
In 2002, Diana had the job of a chief flight nurse who transported patients with medical conditions.
In August of that year, Diana was flying a patient to Lexington, Kentucky. Their plane was about to land when the pilot realized the brakes had failed. In that desperate situation, God took control and miracles began to unfold.
Their plane unable to stop, ran past the runway and fell off a cliff to a busy highway below. Miraculously many vehicles had been stopped by the red light, so no one was hit. When the plane eventually crashed to a stop. Diana was thrown to the floor and became badly injured, the pilot fell unconscious and the co-pilot suffered a broken back. When the plane caught fire none of them could move and it appeared they would all burn. But as Diana began to pray, suddenly the unconscious pilot woke up and opened the door, enabling people at the scene to pull them out. Another miracle was that rescue teams arrived immediately from a.nearby hospital.
Doctors said Diana had only a five percent chance of survival, having suffered multiple organ failures. But as members of her Church prayed fervently Diana miraculously pulled through. Next, the doctors said she could not walk again, but Diana eventually regained the use of her legs. Though she was faced by insurmountable odds, God helped Diana to overcame them all.

This year, many of us faced great odds, but each time we saw the manifestation of God’s miracles that helped us to pull through.
In many instances, God brought us up from horrible pits, set our feet upon a rock and established our goings [Psalm 40:2-3].
Reflecting on the happenings in our lives in the past 12 months, we can not help but declare that God has been faithful.
Indeed we must be deliberate to count our blessings and not forget the many benefits of the Lord in our lives.
Looking back at all we overcame, it is obvious God’s grace has been with us.
In every challenge, God has been our ever-present help in time of need. His blessings have prevailed above the attacks of the enemy. The things the enemy meant for evil, God turned them all around for our good. Because memory is a catalyst for worship, let us take the time to recall God’s miraculous interventions this year, so as to give Him worthy praise..Truly we have seen the power and wonders of God in diverse dimensions this year. And in these last days of the year, let us deliberately and continually bless the Lord. He has indeed been good to us, He has enabled us to break forth on every side and exceeded our expectations beyond measure.

PRAYER: Lord, I am so grateful for Your faithfulness to me and my family at diverse times. I thank You for all Your blessings and benefits in my life this year, in Jesus Name.

The last days of the year is the period for the world’s most popular celebrations; Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. For many people, this is the time for partying, frolicking, drinking, overeating and fun seeking. Unfortunately, in the midst of these festivities, many people throw caution to the wind, resulting in calamities.
A recent CNN report said several studies show people have a greater chance of dying on Christmas day, the day after Christmas or New Year’s Day than on any other single day of the year.
A historical victim of this Christmas time calamity was Colonel Johann Rahl, who was a commander of the British troops in Trenton, New Jersey. On the night of December 25, 1776, General George Washighton who was leading the American troops, crossed the Delaware river on his way to attack Commander Rahl’s troops. A Loyalist to the British army who had seen Washington’s forces gathering quickly sent a messenger with a note to Rahl to warn him of the impending attack. But because it was Christmas day, Rahl and his men had momentarily let their guard down to celebrate. Rahl was playing cards when he was handed the warning note of the approaching enemies. But he was so occupied with the game, that he placed the note in his coat pocket and didn’t bother to read it until the game was finished. By then Washington’s troop was already upon them. Rahl and his men were easily overcome in the battle and slain.

It is good to celebrate and enjoy the fun and festivities of the season. But as believers, we should never allow ourselves to become spiritually distracted.
As we celebrate, we should remain spiritually sensitive and prayerful because this is the season when the forces of wickedness work overtime to turn people’s gladness to sadness.
Therefore, while we are on a physical holiday, we must never go on a spiritual holiday. We must remain constantly alert, sober and vigilant because there is an enemy that prowls about looking for whom to devour.[1 Peter 5:8]
Knowing that we are living in perilous days on earth, we can’t afford to live carelessly. At all times let our focus be on drawing closer to God and doing His will.
While the enemy works to increase the death rate this season, let us work with God’s help to bring most men to the saving knowledge of Christ. As we connect and communicate with friends and families at this time; let us use every opportunity to point them to Christ. The best gift God has given to mankind is sending Christ to the earth for our redemption. Let this be at the center of our celebrations. For this reason let us continually bless and thank God for His amazing love manifested through the birth of our Lord and Savior

PRAYER: Father, as I celebrate this season, please help me to stay focused on the real reason why Jesus came to the earth. Enable me to share Your love with those around me and to shine Your light for all to see in Jesus’ Name.

Today, many non-christian nations around the world are greatly attracted to the glitter and sparkle of Christmas. They have adopted nearly every of its traditions except the spiritual significance of the season.
For instance Christmas is celebrated in Japan in a very big way. Yet Japan is nearly 99% Shinto and Buddhist and only about 1 percent of the population are Christians. Christmas in Japan is not even a national holiday, yet it has blossomed into a colorful and cherished time of the year.
The celebration blends modern festivities with uniquely Japanese traditions, creating an enchanting season that stands out from other Christmas celebrations around the world.
Their Christmas Eve is often celebrated more than Christmas Day. The Japanese Christmas Eve resembles Valentine’s Day celebrations in the UK and the USA. On that day, couples spend time together, exchange presents, go for walks to look at the Christmas lights and have a romantic dinner with a plethora of stunning illuminations dotting every corner.
The Japanese follow the western Christmas traditions of exchanging gifts, singing yuletide songs, decorating trees, special seasonal treats etc. They make a big fuss over St Nick, Rudolph, Frosty and santa. Their santa is sometimes dressed like a Samurai.
This Japanese celebration is not about the birth of Christ, rather it is only a cosmetic and commercial event that is enjoyed for its unique traditions, rather than its spiritual significance.

While the world may focus only on the glitter of Christmas, our focus should be on its spiritual value to us
Certainly, Jesus did not come to the earth to establish the commercial chaos that the world today calls Christmas. He came to execute God’s plan to destroy the devil and set men free.
Jesus came to fulfill the promise that God made in Genesis 3:15, which was that the Seed of the woman, would crush the head of the serpent.
Indeed the arrival of Jesus at the manger in Bethlehem marked the beginning of the destruction of every works of darkness.
1 John 3:8 says ‘..For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Jesus came to bring an end to the enemy’s threefold agenda of killing, stealing and destroying.
Therefore the celebration of Christmas is the celebration of the Child that was born to save the world and set it free from bondage. We rejoice that God’s Son has come to free the captives and lift the burdens of men. His coming to earth means that God has come to tabernacle with man. He is our Jehovah Shammah – the Lord Who is there. He is our ever present help in every time of need. In the darkest of nights, in the toughest of trials, Jesus is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. He is our way-maker and burden-bearer. He comes as the fourth man in the fire to rescue us. Therefore let this season be a celebration of the coming of our Savior and deliverer who will never leave us nor forsake us.

PRAYER; Father, I thank You for sending Jesus for my salvation and deliverance. Please enable me to go beyond the festivities of this season and continually praise and celebrate You all the days of my life in Jesus Name.
