Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist who is considered to be the world’s greatest composer. Beethoven crafted some of the most profound Christian classical music in history. However, by the time he was 40 years he was completely deaf, but that did not stop his creativity. Fueled by faith, he wrote masterpieces that are still enjoyed by the Christian world today.
Beethoven faced overwhelmingly difficult circumstances from the time he was born in 1770. His childhood and adolescence were marred by his father’s harsh discipline and alcoholism. While still a teenager, his mother died. His father couldn’t cater for the family and at only 19 years, Beethoven became their family’s bread winner. In 1792, Beethoven relocated to Vienna. During this time he quickly made a name for himself as a virtuoso pianist. Publishers soon began to compete for his newest works.
However around the age of 26 years, tragedy struck; he began to experience loss of hearing which was devastating to him as a master musician. But Beethoven determined with God’s help to succeed despite his disability. He devised methods to eventually compose some of the best symphonies of all times. And the amazing thing is that five of these best symphonies were composed when he was completely deaf. It is astonishing to study the complexities and beauty of his late works and to realize that, except in his imagination, he never heard them performed. Through his ordeal, he maintained a close personal relationship with God and was able to prevail and excel in his art and is celebrated today as one of the greatest musical geniuses the world has ever seen.

Failure will never overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough. In the journey of life everyone faces challenges. However, in order to succeed, we must first have faith that we can. You must have an inner strength and conviction, to keep standing no matter how hard the wind blows. What is pushing you forward has to be stronger than what is pushing against you. Your inner forte of faith must be stronger than the outer winds of doubt.
When The Word of God is strong in your heart, you can withstand any challenge. The Word births faith in you that pushes you forward, propelling you to overcome and triumph against all odds. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world and when you have faith, nothing can be impossible to you.[Mark 9;23].
To walk in the glory ordained for us this year, let us utilize this time of prayers to build up our faith. Preparation will always precede manifestation. Isaiah 40:4 says that before the glory of the Lord is revealed in our lives, “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough places plain”. This is talking about preparation.
As we make a strong divine connection in this season of prayers, we will surely overcome every attack of the enemy. The momentary afflictions will end up achieving for us a far more eternal weight of glory.
In God, we have an immovable rock that we can always run to in times of trouble. Certainly, by His grace, this is our year to soar and break forth to unprecedented heights of glory.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me a renewed and deep appetite for Your Word, so that I can have the faith to press forward despite trials and challenges. By your grace I will never miss my portion of glory this year in Jesus Name.

JANUARY 15; PRICE FOR THE WEIGHT OF GLORY!

1 Corinthians 9:26-27 ‘I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.’

Evander Holyfield started out in boxing in the amateur ranks but honed his skills until he began winning most of his fights. In 1984, Holyfield represented the United States at the Olympics and transitioned into the professional ranks as a light heavyweight.
He continued to build up his body and develop himself to win major fights. He then ascended to the cruiserweight division where he soon became the reigning WBA Cruiserweight Champion. But he wanted more and soon set his sights on rising to the heavyweight division. But to reign in the heavyweight, he had to challenge and conquer the reigning heavyweight champion, the formidable Mike Tyson. In 1996, when Evander Holyfield signed on to fight Mike Tyson, no one gave Holyfield a chance. The Media widely predicted that Tyson would crush him in the rings. However Holyfield, who had become a devoted born-again Christian in 1992, had great faith that he would win. Moreover, Holyfield took his training very seriously and prepared himself rigorously for the fight. Finally when the two met in the rings, Holyfield scored a historical victory over Tyson which sent a great shock wave across the boxing world.
Though he started out as a lightweight, Evander Holyfield built himself up to emerge as the only boxer in history to win the undisputed championship in two weight classes in the three belt era and also the only four-time world heavyweight champion.

Glory comes in weights. To carry a heavy weight of glory, we must develop the capacity for it. There is a price to pay to move from spiritual lightweights to become spiritual heavy weights. It will require commitment to a lifestyle of fervent prayers, purity, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit.
As we pay the price, there will be an eruption of mighty signs and wonders that will cause us to stand out wherever we go.
The Bible tells us to “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”. You can liken this to a gym workout. You may start out with carrying light weights but as you work out consistently, you will become stronger and carry heavier weights.
It doesn’t matter the spiritual level you started this year with, you can develop yourself through spiritual exercises to become a warrior. You can transit from victim to Victor and from a loser to a winner.
If we refuse to move higher in our spirituality, we will be deluding ourselves to expect greater glory to come upon us. Expected outcomes place a demand for certain inputs. In 1 Corinthians 9:26-27, apostle Paul says “so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection”.
In this season of prayers, let us determine to bring our flesh under subjection. Let us plead the Blood of Jesus against anything that will try to hinder our spiritual progress. May the Blood cleanse, purge and purify us to flow in greater anointing and manifest indeed unprecedented levels of glory in our lives this year.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to pay the price to move higher spiritually and develop capacity for the great weight of glory that has been destined for me this year. Thank You for helping me to grow stronger daily in Jesus Name

Curtis Carroll is a former prisoner and convict who transformed himself to become a highly sought-after financial-guru.
Curtis was serving a sentence of 54 years to life for murder but through faith in Christ, he changed his story. Carroll grew up in a community in California that was a hotbed of drug dealers, addicts, and criminals.
He learned to steal and sell drugs at an early age. At 17 years, he ended up in prison after committing a robbery that led to a man’s death.
But in prison Curtis encountered Christ and became born again. With a renewed mind he began to make positive transformations in his life. Though a stark illiterate, he taught himself to read and write. Thereafter , he began studying about investments and the stock market from books in the prison library. He learned so much that he became highly successful at picking stocks. From there, he started a Financial Literacy Program which led him to give a TED talk in 2019. His talk received over 4 million views on YouTube.
After serving 27 years of his 54 years sentence, Curtis Carroll, has been released from prison on parole.
He is now an influential speaker, inspiring financial literacy advocate and a celebrated media personality who has been featured in numerous publications like the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, BBC and NPR.

You may be a product of your past, but you don’t have to be a prisoner of your past.
Growing up in a tough environment may have led Carroll to prison, but he didn’t allow that to define his present or his future. Through engaging divine help he changed the course of his life.
This year the realization of God’s glory in our lives will require taking definite steps to transform our lives.
The story of Joseph is a story of drastic life transformation through divine help. Joseph was a prisoner, but he did not allow his situation to keep him bound. From shame and disgrace, he ended up on a throne, to a life of glory.
In Genesis 45:13 he said ‘And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen.”
Negative things should not keep you from growth and progress. Fertilizer may seem stinky, but it helps a plant to grow better. Some of the undesirable things that happened to you can become fertilizers for your greater destiny. They are being used to prepare you for a glorious future and are making your roots to go deeper. As long as you are walking in line with God, what may seem like a prison can eventually lead you to a palace. The closed door can lead to new doors of greater possibilities. That setback could be a set-up for your greater comeback.
In this season, let us keep praising God because of His plan this year to undo our afflictions and give us fame in every place where we had been put to shame.[ Zephaniah 3:19]

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for changing my story from shame to glory. Please help me to maintain a praise-full lifestyle because I know even right now You are working out everything together for my good in Jesus Name. .

Emmitt James Smith is a devout Christian and football hero, whose excellence in sports has given him a platform to share his faith in Christ.
Emmitt understands that his success is only by the grace of God.
At his induction into the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, on August 8, 2010, he began his speech with: “Thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me to play the sport I so dearly love for almost three decades.”
Emmitt’s journey to stardom, was rough but by God’s grace he eventually scaled through to victory.
From his youth, Emmitt had dreamed of playing in the National Football League, but critics said he didn’t have the size or the speed to play in college football. In 1987, he surprised the naysayers by earning a scholarship to the University of Florida where he excelled in football. He went further to prove his doubters wrong by eventually achieving his dream of playing in the National Football League.
As a professional player he had outstanding achievements including leading the Dallas Cowboys to win three Super Bowl championships. He finally silenced his critics by going on to become the National Football League’s all-time leading rusher.
After retiring from football in 2005, Emmitt Smith embarked on an entrepreneurial journey creating several businesses. He again saw God’s faithfulness as all his endeavors became very prosperous. Today, Emmitt Smith continually thanks and praises God for granting him amazing success despite the odds that were against him.

Setbacks or criticisms should never deter or stop your progress in life. God designed and desires that challenges and obstacles spur you forward rather than drag you backward. Today, while the world is facing increasing gross darkness, this is the time for you to arise and shine because of the glory of God. The darkness that covers the earth should serve as the backdrop for your shining. The misfortune of the world will be an opportunity for the saints to gain fortune and excel!
However before you can ‘shine’, you need to first ‘arise’. You need to get up, move forward and begin to explore new frontiers.
In Deuteronomy 2:3, God told the Israelites, ‘Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward,’
In the same chapter He told them to rise up, take up their journey, and pass over the river and begin to contend with the king of Heshbon, and begin to take over his land in battle. (Deuteronomy 2:24)
To possess our inheritance of glory, this season of prayer is our time to contend in battle against every resistance and opposition. This year, God has called you unto glory. Your life is to be dignified, full of splendor and heavenly bliss. However, to see these, you must pay the price of steadfast faith and resilience. Despite the obstacles, keep your focus on God’s Word and keep praising Him and pressing forward. As you do, it’s only a matter of time before you see the manifestation of the promised glory.

PRAYER: Father please enable me to keep pressing forward despite any challenges on my path. I thank You Lord for indeed manifesting glory in my life and doing exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine in Jesus Name.

Jackie Joyner-Kersee is a multitalented athlete whose astounding achievements made her to be voted the Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century by Sports Illustrated for Women.
Jackie is the first American ever to win a gold medal in the long jump and the first woman in history to earn more than 7,000 points in the seven-event heptathlon.
However, it is interesting to note that when she first started out in sports, her performance was very poor and she used to finish last in a race.
She was greatly encouraged by her mother to trust in God and keep aiming for the best. And so instead of giving up due to her poor performances she decided to improve on herself and began to practice every day. But things only got worse when in 1983 she began to suffer devastating health challenges. Things were so bad that some days it looked like she wouldn’t be able to make it through a race. Yet her faith in God sustained her and helped her to eventually overcome.
Five years later, with improved health, at the 1988 Olympics, Joyner-Kersee won three gold medals. And she would go on to win many more Olympic medals and setting unbroken world records in the process.
Joyner-Kersee, who is an ardent Christian and whose husband is a pastor, believes that the secret of her success has been faith in God. Through steadfast faith she overcame the barriers of resistance to become a celebrated athletic hero.

Every one’s journey from the point of zero to hero is a difficult one. To see glory at the end of our story we need to persevere in faith.
As far as destiny is concerned, it is to everyone according to his faith. Through faith we are able to see the invisible, dare the impossible, and do the incredible.
Faith is the victory that overcomes the world [1 John 5:4].
Every time you encounter an obstacle on the journey to your promised land, refuse to complain, murmur, or become intimidated. When you see a “Red Sea” situation in your life don’t turn to go back, just re-echo what the Lord told Moses to tell His people in Exodus 14:15b, “Go forward!”
As you take the next step of faith, what you saw as “Red Sea” is going to part in two, allowing you to walk through on dry ground to the other side.
Faith involves hard work in the Word of God. It means spending quality time with the Word. The Word of God says, “study to show thy self approved” (2 Timothy 2:15).
The Greek word from which the English word “study” was translated in 2 Timothy 2:15, infers hard work and discipline!
When you are faced with any intimidating challenges always remember that solution is available through faith. If you are facing an overwhelming situation in your health, finances, or relationships, settle down to in-depth study of the Word. As you do, you will have the faith to overcome and eventually see the manifestation of glory in that situation.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to pay the price of spending quality time in Your Word so that my faith can be strengthened to see You at work in my situation. I Thank You Lord for always exceeding my expectations and manifesting Your glory in my life in Jesus Name.

The Sun in our galaxy is a dynamic star, constantly changing and sending energy out into space.
According to Scientists, the Sun is a 4.5 billion-year-old yellow dwarf star – a hot glowing ball of hydrogen and helium – at the center of our solar system. It’s about 93 million miles from Earth and it’s our solar system’s only star. Without the Sun’s energy, life as we know it could not exist on our home planet.
The Sun is the largest object in our solar system. Its gravity holds the solar system together, keeping everything from the biggest planets to the smallest bits of debris in orbit around it.
The Sun could not harbor life as we know it because of its extremely hot temperatures and radiation. Yet life on Earth is only possible because of the Sun’s light and energy.
Even though the Sun is the center of our solar system and essential to our survival, it’s only an average star in terms of its size. Stars up to 100 times larger have been found. And many solar systems have more than one sun. These systems are called multiple star systems, and they can have as many as three suns
The Sun in our solar system is far more massive than the earth:.
It would take more than 330,000 Earths to match the mass of the Sun, and it would take 1.3 million Earths to fill the Sun’s volume.

It’s truly incredible to grasp the wonder and vastness of creation! Scientists are often left speechless and brought to their wits’ end in trying to understand or explain creation.
The heavens continually declare God’s glory and the firmament show His handwork. [Psalm 19:1]
Likewise, God has created us to show forth His glory upon the earth. Your life is meant to be a wonder to the world.
It is God’s desire that you showcase His majesty wherever you go. To this end, God has made several wonderful promises to us in His Word. To see these promised wonders, our faith is required. Faith connects us to the power of God which makes things happen.
When we live a life of faith, our lives follow a divinely orchestrated course that eventually ends in glory.
If God can hang the earth on nothing and fling the stars into space, certainly He can turn us into a show piece to the world.
The Bible says that God counts the stars and knows them all by name. (Psalm 147:4). Just as He knows the stars by name, He knows each one of us individually and destined us for signs and wonders.
To obtain the faith to receive our portion of wonders this year, let us invest in the diligent study of the Word. Surely, as far as our eyes can see, shall be given unto us.
Today, let us continually bless the Lord for His awesome and wonderful plans to manifest His glory through us and turn us into living wonders in this generation!

PRAYER; Lord I thank and bless You for the great and marvelous things You are set to do in my life. Lord, please help me to align with Your Word, so that my life can continually manifest Your glory in Jesus Name..

The American preacher, Tommy Hicks was virtually unknown before 1954. But he was a man of deep prayer and study of God’s Word and his spirituality eventually attracted the power of God that announced him to the world.
In 1954, he was divinely led to go to Argentina to preach. But at that time, Argentina was a tough place for believers as the government closely monitored and censored all religious activities. It was extremely difficult to get permission for crusades or any large Christian gathering.
But when Tommy Hicks arrived to preach in the country, he refused to accept the negative things he was told and trusted God would open doors for him. His faith paid off as miraculously, the rules were suspended in his favor. This happened because through him, God healed the president of Argentina of an incurable skin disease.
After his healing, the President sat down and signed total freedom for the evangelical Church in Argentina. He gave Tommy Hicks everything he requested for his crusade including the Stadiums.
After holding crusades for two months, 3 million people attended with 300,000 decisions for Christ and a massive number of outstanding healings. Among the converts was the vice President of Argentina and his wife. Through God’s power at work in Tommy Hicks revival fire broke out that transformed the nation.

The glory of God causes you to be celebrated in the very place where others are rejected.
When you have deep faith in God the glory of God will manifest upon you as inexplicable favor..
There is a strong connection between your faith and seeing the glory of the Lord.
In John 11:40 Jesus told Martha that if she would believe, she would see the glory of God manifest in the resurrection of her brother.
To see the manifestations of glory, our faith is necessary.
A man of faith calls things that are not, as though they were. When men say there is a casting down, he shall say, there is lifting up; (Job 22:29)
A man of faith will reject a negative medical report and declare his healing by the stripes of Jesus. A man of faith will look at zero bank balance and say “I am too blessed to be stressed. My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!”
This year, we have to deliberately work on our faith if we are to partake in the promised glory.
Therefore in this season of prayers let us ask for grace for diligent study of the Word.
This is certainly your year! Get set for unusual manifestations of glory. It is your season to see beauty in the place of ashes. You are going to see overflowing abundance ,favor, health, increase and all round blessings.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to stand strong in faith and keep giving You all the praise because I know You are ushering me into new dimensions of supernatural favor and glory in Jesus Name.

Though Chantel was serving as a youth pastor in her Church, she did not pay tithes. She worked a low income job that left her struggling financially. She was barely able to buy basic things or pay her rent. She was using credit cards to survive, but after several years of this she was $10,000 in debt and her cards were maxed out. She could no longer even buy grocery.
At this point her life was in shambles. In desperation, she went in prayer to God for an answer to her financial woes. As she prayed, she felt God was telling her to “start tithing.”
But she didn’t immediately take action rather she wanted to wait until she could begin making more money. But after months of waiting and seeing things only get worse, she eventually decided to start with the little she had. Her first tithe check was the only remaining $30 in her bank account. After paying the tithe, to her surprise, one week later, she received a $300 check in the mail. As she continued to tithe, a close family member paid off her $10,000 credit card debt and within a few months, she got a better paying job. Seeing that tithing was really working, Chantel then increased the amount of her tithe. She discovered that as she was faithful to keep her part, God was faithful to keep His part.
Soon the door opened into a new career in real estate and eventually she started her own firm.
Chantel Ray grew financially to become the owner of a multimillion-dollar company with over 130 employees. Today, she is an author, public speaker and philanthropist, who continually shares with her audience the power of giving and the faithfulness of God in her life.

God desires to change every story of shame to glory in our lives. In the place of lack and limitations, He wants to give us a double portion. Instead of disgrace, God wants to give us an inheritance. (Isaiah 61:7).
However, it takes subscribing to the giving covenant for us to enjoy this outpouring of blessings upon our lives. .
God delights in prospering His children that favour His cause upon the earth.
We nust understand that thhere are two systems; the system of the world and the system of the Word. Our world is influenced by two kingdoms; the kingdom of Light and the Kingdom of darkness.
To succeed you must
train yourself not to depend on this world system that is fast giving way. We have been born again to separate ourselves from the Babylonian system of the world and embrace Heaven’s system of operations.
In the world system, you labour, toil, sweat and hoard to prosper, but in God’s system you release and distribute to prosper.
Our profiting and success in life comes from our level of giving to God and His kingdom. No one can possibly out-give God.
God is more eager to bless you than you are willing to be blessed. If He asks you to sacrificially give up “your Isaac” it is because He has a nation and a generation hidden and buried in that seed that needs to materialize as fruits.
To experience the glory-invasion agenda, we must walk in the giving covenant Therefore in this season of prayer let us ask for the grace to make it our top priority to serve God with our time, talent and resources. As we do so, certainly, God will change our story for good and mightily manifest His glory in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to walk in obedience to Your Word so that I can enjoy the release of Your blessings and experience the glory You have ordained for me this year in Jesus Name. .

In recent weeks, scenes of hospitals in China overrun with people wearing masks have made their rounds on social media, sparking worries of another pandemic.
Currently China is grappling with the spread of the Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) — a respiratory illness with flu-like symptoms, similar to COVID-19. The situation in China has raised health concerns globally, with countries closely monitoring the situation. China, has however, downplayed the rise of infections and attributed it to the winter season.
The outbreak comes five years after the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. Though public health experts have said this uptick in HMPV, is not like Covid-19, people are still full of concerns globally. Some countries have already begun to quarantine people arriving from China. The World Health Organization (WHO) is yet to issue a statement on the outbreak of the virus in China and no state of emergency has been declared.

The truth is that end-times will be marked with an increase in calamities including, diseases, pestilence, economic woes, social unrests etc. However, in the midst of the global shakeups; one thing is certain –our case as believers will always be different.
Bible history records that the children of Israel were kept in Goshen- a settlement carved out for them to dwell in within Egypt. Here they were covered by the light and glory of God, while the rest of the Egypt was covered by gross darkness. As the divine judgment of plagues, diseases and afflictions came upon the Egyptians, right next to them, those in Goshen, enjoyed strength, health, vigor and vitality. Even though Goshen was inside Egypt, it didn’t partake of the sufferings of Egypt. When the angel of death passed through Egypt, the blood upon the houses of the Israelites exempted them from the plague [Exodus 12:13].
Today, as the world is full of increasing worries, believers in Christ, are absolutely exempted and protected by the Blood of Jesus. While people are cast down, the Bible says you should declare that there is a lifting up (Job 22:29).
In every situation, let us continue to praise and bless God for His presence in our lives, which is our strong anchor and confidence no matter what happens in the world.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to keep my eyes on Your promise of Glory. I know you have so much in store for me this year. Indeed through the power in the Blood of Jesus, my portion shall never elude me in Jesus Name.

The 1927 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Arthur Compton for his scientific discoveries about light.
Arthur was the son of a Pastor, who grew up to love the Lord and desired to serve Him as a scientist, by making discoveries that would advance humanity.
He would spend most of his life in deep scientific research. One of the most important discoveries he made is what is known today as the ‘Compton effect.’ This discovery was a significant turning point in the understanding of the properties of light and objects.
However, he initially, faced a lot of oppositions because his discovery upset the old scientific beliefs about the nature of light.
When he first presented the results of his research at a meeting of the American Physical Society in 1923, it initiated one of the most hotly contested scientific debates ever known.
But Arthur Compton was not deterred by the controversy because he had great confidence in the depth of his research.
And with time he was proved to be correct. As a result of his discovery he won the Nobel Prize in Physics.
He also received many other awards in his lifetime and is celebrated as one of the most outstanding research scientists of his generation.

Just as Arthur Compton overcame challenges and oppositions to excel in his field, as a child of God, the negative events of this world cannot deem your shining. You are a child of destiny, designed and fashioned by God for glory in these last days.
Whilst, the perilous end-times may spell doom for the majority of the world, it is the set time for God to deck His church with Glory!
The darker the times, the greater the glory that will be revealed through you to the world. You must understand that you are a child of promise, and you are in a covenant relationship with the Most High God. Daniel 11:32 says that the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Because you know God, you are destined to do exploits.
We are in the hour of great opportunity for God to do great things through us. This year, you are stepping into your own time and season. This is your season of divine advancement. You may have been in a wilderness, a place of “nothingness”, and difficulties; but now is the time for your “showing’, and there is nothing anybody or any devil can do about it. Luke 1:80 says John the Baptist “was in the wilderness until the time of his shewing unto Israel.”
This year is certainly, the time for your ‘showing’and manifestation to your world! Glory is about to invade your life. No matter the challenges of the past, the table is turning in your favour. This is your year and and the spotlight is about to shine on you!

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to stand in faith to overcome every resistance to my glorious destiny. I appreciate and thank You, for the soon invasion of Your glory in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name.
