JUNE 14; GOD WILL MAKE A WAY FOR YOU!

Isaiah 45:2 ‘I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:’

DAILY READING;• Revelation 13; Esther 3-4; Psalm 106:1-23

Oswald J. Smith was so sickly as a child that doctors feared he might not reach adulthood. He was absent from school on and off, and eventually missed two entire years of school. But Oswald defeated the odds, and survived. At 16 years he heard an evangelist preach the Gospel and gave his heart to Christ.
Thereafter he desired to become a missionary. When he turned 18, he started attending evening classes at Toronto Bible College, with a longing to be a missionary.
Finally, when the doors opened to serve on the mission field, he applied for an appointment. But when the mission board considered his medical record of reoccurring ailments, they said he would never be suited for the mission field.
Oswald J. Smith struggled with the rejection and disappointment, but he wouldn’t give up. He took up a job selling Bibles door-to-door for the Bible Society. When the Bible Society sent him to Vancouver, he met a Methodist missionary who asked him to be his associate in ministering to the Indians. And so Oswald ended up serving as a missionary among native Indians despite having failed to be appointed formally by the Church to the mission field.
Despite the disappointments he went through, Oswald kept his faith strong and kept giving glory to God. He eventually composed over one thousand hymns and poems in praise to God.
By divine leading, he started a new church in Canada, that sent out more missionaries than any other church at that time. Today, Oswald J Smith is celebrated as an outstanding missionary, author and preacher of his generation. Indeed God transformed his disappointment into a great blessing, and turned his mourning into joy.

If disappointing things happen in your life that you do not immediately understand, just keep the right attitude and count it all joy. When you don’t know what to do, just give God praise.
Sometimes it may seem as if you are in a night season of life, where doors get constantly closed in your face and everything looks dark and hopeless, but there will always be a way out when you turn on the switch of praise.
As you praise God, the stumbling blocks will become stepping stones that will push you further into your destiny.
Praise brings God’s Presence, because God inhabits the praises of His people. And when God is with you, He will always make a way for you where there seems to be no way and go ahead of you to destroy the barriers to your progress.

God said in Isaiah 45:2 ‘I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:’
Truly God is our maker! His Presence turns obstacles to miracles and turns the tides of life’s battles in our favor.

PRAYER: Lord, please strengthen me to persevere in praising You always and to always keep my focus on You. May I never allow setbacks to weigh me down, but rather by Your grace everything will work out together for my good in Jesus Name.

JUNE 13; TURN ON THE SWITCH OF PRAISE!

Habakkuk 3:17-18 ‘Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.’

DAILY READING; Revelation 12, Esther 2, Psalm 105:26-45

In 2019, Christian News outlets featured the amazing story of Ella Nicole Woods, who was brought back to life through the power of praise.
When Ella was born prematurely on December 18, 2013,, doctors diagnosed her with pulmonary hypertension. As the hours passed, she only got worse and when her condition continued to deteriorate, her parents called upon family and friends to come to the hospital to pray. But despite the prayers, Ella’s vital signs continued to go down.
But while praying, Ella’s father received a word of promise from God, that she would be healed .However, outwardly Ella still showed no signs of getting better and by the following day, December 20th, doctors had run out of options, Ella was lifeless and they told the parents she would be dead in a few minutes.
But her father
knew he heard God promise him his daughter would be well. And though the situation now seemed hopeless, he held on to God’s promise. And in that desperate moment, the family switched to praising God. And as they began to praise God, something miraculous happened! Amazingly, Ella’s eyes opened, and the room erupted with joy. The doctors and nurses were amazed. It was truly a miracle, as they saw the lifeless baby, now come alive. From that moment, Ella’s health rapidly improved and she was released from the hospital in January 2014. And today she continues to grow as a healthy child, and her parents see her as the living proof of God’s faithfulness.

Indeed the time of trouble is not when to stop praising God. Rather, that is even when to turn up the volume of your praise. In their midnight season, when Paul and Silas prayed and nothing happened, rather than stopping, they switched to praise. And they praised so loudly the other prisoners heard them. And praise brought God’s Presence for their deliverance.

Despite the circumstances of life, we are to rejoice in God. Whatever challenges come your way, you can always count it all joy, because God is indeed able to keep His promises of deliverance to you. Nothing can change the immutability and infallibility of God’s written Word. Even if circumstances change, the goodness of God remains unchanging! In Malachi 3:6 God says ‘For I am the Lord, I change not . .’

God never changes. And no matter what things may initially look like, we can trust that God’s Word will always prevail in our lives. 2 Cor. 2:14 says ‘God always causes us to triumph in Christ’

God being with us is the key to victory in every battle. And His Presence comes through praise.
If you have been facing a situation that doesn’t seem to be getting better, then switch to praise. Praise will cause that lifeless situation to come back to life.
Whatever challenges come your way, you can always count it all joy, ’
Anytime you encounter troubles, tests, or trials, always realize that they are temporary.
Indeed praise brings God’s Presence and when God appears, every evil must disappear.

PRAYER: Lord, I choose to praise You at all times, no matter how things may look like around me. I know You are too faithful to fail and even right now You are bringing a positive, dramatic turnaround to my story in Jesus Name. .

JUNE 12; REJOICE ALWAYS!

Philippians 4:4-6 ‘Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.’
DAILY READING –Revelation 11; Esther 1; Psalm 105:1-25

The 1960s was a chaotic era in American history. It was a tumultuous decade defined by the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement and the Cold War.
Indeed the 1960s remains the most consequential and controversial decade in America, filled with irresponsible excess, activism, violence and racial tension.
Many people found this period to be very deeply disturbing due to the fear and uncertainty in the atmosphere. At this time, Bill and Gloria Bill Gaither, two of the most prolific and popular Gospel music writers and performers in the world, were also affected by the despair in the atmosphere. In their own lives, 1969 was a particularly bleak period for them because Bill was very sick with a severe case of mononucleosis.
One day, while Gloria was sitting in their living room, she began to sense the agony and fear rising again within her heart. But then, suddenly and quite unexpectedly, God’s Presence surrounded her and she was filled with a sweet, calming peace. At that point, her panic gave way to an assurance that the future would be just fine, because God is in control. And this inspired Gloria to write the song ‘Because He lives.’ This very popular song expressed the hope that was shaped by the resurrection of Jesus. It states in part ‘…Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives!’

Today, many people are worried about their tomorrow, their finances, medical reports and many other issues.
To have the victory over challenges, we must stop looking at the problems and start looking at God’s promises. Rather than despair, we must maintain our praise because it is what engages God’s Presence and guarantees our victory..

Nehemiah 8:10 says ” ‘Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength’ “.

We must understand that joy produces strength, which explains why our joy is the devil’s primary target. If you lose your joy, you will lose your strength, and lose your battles. But if you refuse to be depressed, then the enemy cannot oppress you.
So be joyful!
In Philippians 4:4 apostle Paul writes, “Rejoice in the Lord always”.
Paul wrote those words when he was in prison with no chance of getting out. For him joy was a decision, not a reaction to circumstances.
Even in the midst of chaos and bleakness in the world, God still reigns supreme and is in perfect control. He is able to handle whatever comes our way and holds our lives and our future in His hands. This is why in all things we give thanks and praise Him regardless of the happenings.
Therefore today let us make the definite decision to always remain joyful and keep praising God. Certainly, our lives and times are in His Hands. And because He lives, we shall indeed live also!

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to keep praising You in every situation. I know that because You live, I can always face tomorrow and triumph in every circumstance in Jesus Name.

JUNE 11; GOD IS WATCHING OVER YOU!

1Thessalonians 5:18, ’In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.’

DAILY READING; Revelation 10; Nehemiah 13; Psalm 104:24-35

In July 2019, an asteroid almost hit the earth . Scientists estimated that it could have struck the earth with “over 30 times the energy of the atomic blast at Hiroshima”
This asteroid called 2019 OK, traveling at almost 15 miles a second, came unusually close to the earth.
The asteroid which passed by about 43,500 miles away, came closer to the earth than the moon is.It was one of the closest known approaches of an asteroid to the earth ever since scientists started closely tracking the movements of objects in space.
Surprisingly,, scientists at NASA almost didn’t see it coming. In fact they only saw the asteroid for the first time a few days before, and only definitively identified it as an asteroid hours before it passed right by the earth.
This asteroid could have done a lot of damage if it had hit the earth.
But thank God it didn’t. Even when scientists failed to see the asteroid in time, God was watching over us all the while and ensured no damage was done..

God is truly in control of the universe. With so many objects flying around in outer space, even scientists admit that it is a miracle that life on our planet has continued without any fatal disaster. Indeed no matter what goes on, God remains in control.
This is why we do not need to fret about unfolding events on the earth. Despite the political instability, financial concerns and social unrests, we are assured that our God neither slumbers nor sleeps. He is watching over His people, who trust in Him. Our primary concern should be ensuring we are always walking close to Him through obedience to His Word. Because under His wings is our greatest refuge. In every situation rather than fret, we always praise God, knowing He is in perfect control of our lives.

1 Thessalonians 5:18, says ’In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.’

Indeed when we realize that life on earth is a continual miracle and it is only by The Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed; then we are bound to give God thanks always. We thank Him for the miracle of sleeping and waking up, for the gift of life, for the salvation of our souls, for divine health, for the ability to use every part of our body; for the ability to eat, drink, see, walk, speak, learn and interact with people etc.
To take God for granted is to be grounded. Therefore let us continually praise Him, in all things, knowing that He is in perfect control. And no matter what comes our way, our life is in His hands. And if God has not yet failed in the running of the universe, then we can be assured that He will never fail with running our lives.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for being in complete control of my life. And I know indeed that no matter what comes upon the earth, You are able to shelter me from all harm. Thank You Lord, for being my refuge and fortress in Jesus Name.

JUNE 10; IT WILL END IN PRAISE!

Lamentations 3:21-23 [RSV] “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.’”

DAILY READING – Revelation 9; Nehemiah 12; Psalm 104:1-23

On the Christian Broadcasting Network was recently featured the amazing story of Brittany Bakenhaster who miraculously recovered after she was sent home from the hospital to die.
Brittany was only 3 years old when she started having grand mal seizures. Over the course of the next two years, Brittany’s illness took its toll on her parents. They were stretched physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, even financially. One bottle of medication cost about $50 and they couldn’t afford it. She needed 24 hour-a-day care, night and day, because of the continual seizures.
But through the trial her parents found comfort in God’s word. They stood on Gods promise in Psalms 37:4-5
which says ‘Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart,’”
They refused to look at what was happening outwardly, and chose to delight themselves in the Lord. Her parents continued to pray, and speak positively.
Eventually the hospital gave up and discharged Brittany to go home and die. That night her mother cried out to God all night long for a miracle. When the morning came, the parents were amazed to hear Brittany who had not spoken for a year, suddenly begin calling ‘Jesus, Jesus.’
Brittany, told her parents she had seen Jesus. When they took Brittany back to the hospital, the medical team were amazed. Brittany was totally healed!

Brittany’s story is a testament of God’s awesome ability to always come through for those who trust in Him.
God is in control of your destiny therefore it is never over in your life until He says so. Even if it seems too late to men, it is never too late for God.
And when you delight yourself in the Lord, He will surely give you the desire of your heart.
Instead of cowering in the face of problems, rather we are to stand upon Gods promises and keep speaking positively.
Though weeping may sometimes endure for a night, surely, joy comes in the morning.

Lamentations 3:21-23 says “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.’” [RSV]
Indeed great is God’s love and faithfulness. He will never give up on us as long as we don’t give up on Him. No matter how hopeless any situation, as we persist in faith, God is able to intervene and do the miraculous.
God has assured us that when we go through the fire of trials He will be right there with us. [Isaiah 43:2-5].
Therefore, regardless of the circumstances, keep your faith strong and keep giving glory to God.
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. As we focus on His Word we will be strengthened by faith in our inner man to always overcome in any trial. Therefore today let us keep thanking the Lord and praising Him because no matter what we may face, it will surely all end in praise!

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always remain strong in faith, and keep giving You the glory because in every situation, I am destined to always be more than a conqueror in Jesus Name.

June 9; THE PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTANDING!

Philippians 4:6-7. ” in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”

DAILY READING ; Revelation 8; Nehemiah 11; Psalm 103

When a Hurricane is pounding and bringing catastrophic flooding to a region, one may wonder—where do the birds go to? Interestingly, birds are often found in the center of the hurricane.
In a hurricane, there’s something called the “eye of the storm”. This is the center of the hurricane, where it’s very calm and peaceful. All around there  may be  chaos, winds blowing 150 miles an hour, debris flying all around, danger everywhere. But  strangely, despite all this outward mayhem, within the eye of the storm, it’s very calm and peaceful.
When birds start getting caught up in whipping winds, they naturally move to where there is some calm, and this is the eye of the storm. This is where they find calm in the midst of the surrounding chaos

There may be times in life, when it seems as if all around you everything is spinning out of control. Trials, temptations, challenges, may seem to surround you, but in the midst of that storm, there is a place of peace where you can go. The Scripture calls it “the peace that passes all understanding.”

It is a place of inexplicable calmness, and joy. It is a place where when you should be stressed, rather you are blessed. It is a place of turning your battle field to a worship field.  This is the place where obstacles become miracles.
What gives peace in the storm is inviting the Prince of peace, Jesus, into that situation.
In Mathew 8;23-27, the disciples were surrounded by a storm, but when they called upon Jesus, He arose and rebuked the storm and said, “Peace. Be still.” And instantly, the storm ceased.
What gives inexplicable peace in the storm is God’s Presence, and we engage His Presence through praises.
Paul and Silas were surrounded by storm, they were tied up in a prison and soldiers where all around, but when they praised God despite the storm, they were miraculously delivered.
In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat certainly had a stormy situation when three mighty nations surrounded him, but when he chose to praise God, the storm was dispersed and he got the victory.
It doesn’t matter  what surrounds you today, when you bring God into your situation through praise, you will experience peace that passes all understanding and a forceful turnaround of every negative situation.

PRAYER: Lord, no matter what may be happening around me, I know indeed that You are greater than any storm. Thank You Lord for winning my battles and exceeding my expectations in Jesus Name. .

JUNE 8; GOD IS INDEED GOOD!

Jeremiah 31:3 ‘The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.’

DAILY READING – Revelation 7; Nehemiah 9:38-10:39; Psalm 102

Iris Global is a Christian non-profit organization with over 35 bases in 20 nations. Liz Gliem works as a missionary with the organization and in a recent ministry update in April 2023, she shared a remarkable story of what happened on their location in Mozambique.
One day, early in the morning, a woman and her sister arrived at their farm in Mozambique seeking help. Gliem and her missionary team learned from the woman that ISIS insurgents had killed her husband during an attack on their village and kidnapped her and her one-year-old son.
After being captive in an ISIS camp for 11 months,, she and her sister with her little son had made a daring escape.
They ran for miles through the forest until they met a military team who picked them up in their trucks and helped them to escape.
As she described the soldiers to the missionaries, at first they thought she was talking about the Rwandan army, which had made incursions into that part of Mozambique. But when she said they were giants, at least nine-feet tall, and had white bulletproof armor on, the missionaries knew that couldn’t have been the Rwanda military which wears all-black. Moreover there were no nine-feet tall soldiers operating in African jungle zones who wear white bulletproof armor. It dawned on the missionaries that the giant soldiers must have been warrior angels that manifested themselves to the escaping women and led them to safety! Though these women were not Christians, God in His infinite mercy had delivered them and brought them to the missionary team, who took care of them and later led them to Christ.

It is amazing how the mercy of the Lord can locate even sinners and lead them to salvation in miraculous ways. We are all partakers of this inexplicable grace and mercy of God.
Many of us can testify of experiencing God’s goodness and miraculous deliverables even while we were yet sinners.
So many times God kept us and gave His angels charge over us.
It is humbling to know that when we were defenseless, when the enemy had every opportunity to have destroyed us, God miraculously preserved us because of His love for us.

Jeremiah 31:3 says ‘The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.’
Romans 5; 8 says that God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners..

Now that we are in Christ, we can be sure that God has not brought us this far to leave us. Certainly the good thing He has begun in our lives He is able to complete it. This should encourage us to always trust God in every situation, to bless Him at all times and celebrate His faithfulness.
If He showed us so much mercy and love while we were separated from Him, certainly He has far more greater goodness laid up for us now we are His sons and daughters.
Though we may not sometimes see the full picture, we can always trust that God has not called us to seek Him vain. As we walk in obedience to His plan and purpose, certainly, He will do for us exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask, think or imagine.

PRAYER: Lord please grant me the grace to praise You at all times. I know Your thoughts towards me are always good and even right now You are working out things in my favor in Jesus Name.

JUNE 7; PRAISING GOD WITH EVERY BREATH!

Psalm 150:5-6 ‘ Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.’

DAILY READING ; Revelation 6; Nehemiah 8:13-9:37; Psalm 101

Albert Benjamin Simpson was working hard to succeed in his ministry when his health failed and he came close to death. But through the power in the Blood of Jesus he received divine restoration.
A.B Simpson founded a major evangelical denomination, published over 70 books and wrote many Gospel songs and poems. Converted to Christ as a teenager, he began early to prepare to become a minister. Despite health challenges, he was determined to succeed as a minister. He did indeed succeed and by age 30 he was the pastor of the largest Presbyterian church in the United States at the time. But his intense labor to achieve his ministry goals caused his health challenges to surface again. He felt unwell and walked around as a tired old man, though he was only 37 years old. One day, a doctor told him frankly that his days were numbered and he had little time left to live. At that point A.B Simpson knew he needed God to intervene.
He began searching through the Scriptures until he became convinced that divine healing was his portion because of the price of Blood Christ paid at Calvary.
As he cried out in prayer, the Lord healed him and saved him from an early grave. His healing changed the direction of his entire ministry and for the rest of his life he preached divine healing and praised God. In praising God, A. B Simpson composed the lyrics of over 120 hymns, which are sung all over the world today.

In Isaiah 38, King Hezekiah was doing good works and leading the people to serve God. But in the prime of his career, he suddenly got very sick to the point of death.
When the prophet Isaiah told him he was about to die, Hezekiah started praying and crying to God for mercy. God heard him and healed him and gave him another 15 years. Overjoyed, Hezekiah committed the rest of his life to praising God.
He said, “For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness. The living, the living–they praise you, as I am doing today..” (Isaiah 38:18, 19).
Indeed our being alive in the land of the living is to praise God.
Psalm 150:6 ‘Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD’
As long as we have breath, we are to use it and praise God continually. Anything trying to stop you from praising and celebrating the Lord is attempting to cut short your breath. Therefore we must resist depression, sadness and other joy- stealers.

Psalm 30:9 says ‘What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?’

The profit our blood to God is to praise Him. This is the reason why He has created us. If we want to enjoy long life and divine blessing then we must commit to a lifestyle of continually praising God. Therefore today, by the Blood of Jesus, let us come against the forces that try to hinder our praise because they are destiny destroyers. By the power in the Blood of Jesus, we shall continually bless the Lord with our every breath so that we will continually enjoy His miracles of healing, deliverance and preservation.

PRAYER: Father. today, by the Blood of Jesus I claim my victory over everything trying to hinder my joy. Thank You Lord for the grace to praise You continually in every circumstance in Jesus Name.

JUNE 6; PRAISE IN THE STORM..

Psalm 34:1 -3 ‘I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together’.
DAILY READING; Revelation 5; Nehemiah 7:5-8:12; Psalm 100

During the second world war, a German warship sunk a ship carryng many people including more than 120 American missionaries and their families.
Among them was Mrs. Lillian Danielson and her six little children who were going to meet her missionary husband in Africa. Their ship named the Zamzam had set sail on 20th March 1941. Then after almost a month at sea, just about four days to reaching their destination, Lillian Danielson was divinely prompted to ensure her children all had lifejackets. When she realized that the available lifejackets were in poor condition, she carefully sewed, repaired them to fit her children.
By the next day, on April 17, 1941, at 6 a.m. there was high pitched screams as a German warship shelled their ship mistaking it for an enemy ship.
As their ship began to sink, the captain of the ship radioed for help and a rescue ship came. The passengers had to enter into lifeboats to take them to the rescue ship. Mrs. Lillian Danielson, with her six children, also boarded a lifeboat. But unknown to them the boat had been hit by German shells and as they all got in, the boat simply deflated and sunk under them.
They would all have sunk with the boat, if not for the lifejackets that she had gotten ready the day before! While afloat in the water, Mrs. Lillian Danielson led her children in singing songs of praise and adoration to Christ as they swum towards the rescue ship. On hearing their singing, all the other missionaries in their lifeboats also began singing as they moved toward the rescue ship. At that very time, a brilliant rainbow came up in the sky. This was to them a sign that God was in control and miraculously all the missionaries were rescued and eventually safely arrived at their destination. Their story is captured in the book, ‘Miracle At Sea.’

Storms of life can come suddenly and lightning can often strike out unexpectedly from a darkness that was once a clear blue sky. But there is no reason to fear, when you are a child of God. Understand that God knows the answer to the problem long before the problem arrived. If you are sensitive to the Spirit, He would have guided you and prepared you to weather whatever comes your way.
If we come to places of despair and desperation, where it seems we are about to sink, those are the times to switch to praise. Because we know our God never fails, He is our ever present help in every time of need and will always come through for us.
As a child of the King, victory is already yours. Just stay in praise and keep blessing the Lord at all times.
David said in Psalm 34:1 ‘I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.’
Continuous praise was David’s secret of continual victory. This was what made him as a teenager to kill a giant with a slingshot and a single pebble. Likewise today, as we stay committed to maintaining our joy and blessing the Lord at all times, certainly God will cause every goliath to fall before us and cause every storm to serve His divine purpose in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, I praise You despite any storms around me because I know You will always come through for me. Please enable me to diligently study Your Word so that I can stay strong in faith and keep giving You all the glory in Jesus Name

JUNE 5; DO NOT BE ANXIOUS, GOD IS AT WORK!

Philippians 4:6-7 ‘Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’

DAILY READING ; Revelation 4; Nehemiah 5:1-7:4; Psalm 99

James Hudson Taylor was a Baptist pioneer missionary to China. He was founder of the China Inland Mission and spent 54 years opening the door for the Gospel to spread in China. His ministry was responsible for bringing over 800 missionaries to the country who aided in converting thousands of the Chinese people.
Hudson Taylor always relied on God to meet his ministry’s needs.
At one time, Hudson was running a hospital in China where the treatment and drugs and feeding of in-patients were all free.
One day, the hospital’s funds were virtually used up and supplies ran low. Though anxiety and worries tried to assail Hudson’s mind, yet he kept praying and trusting God for a miracle.
Just before the food supply completely finished, a letter arrived contained a huge cheque. It was from a man in the United Kingdom, who felt divinely inspired to offer regular support for the work that Hudson was doing in China. Amazingly, the man had no idea of the current needs of the ministry and had sent the cheque five months earlier, but God so arranged for it to arrive at the very time when Hudson Taylor needed it the most. The amount of money in the cheque was more than enough to cover the hospital’s needs.
On receiving this cheque, Hudson Taylor was overwhelmed with gratitude and was in awe of God for His constant amazing miraculous provisions for his ministry.

When we consider the amazing goodness of God and how He often orchestrates miracles in our lives we cannot but be filled with awe and praise.
God is indeed mindful of us. During difficult times, as we call upon Him, He works behind the scenes to give us a supernatural turnaround.
Therefore, rather than be anxious over any issue, let us always praise God, trusting that He is working all things together for our good. Even when it looks as if the situation is not improving, keep praising God in spite of the happenings. As you praise God, He begins to orchestrate people and situations for the eventual manifestation of your miracle.
Often times, most of the things we worry about are things God has already taken care of in the spirit realm and it only needs praise to see their harvest and speedy manifestations.
Therefore as we wait in expectation for our miracle, we must deliberately refuse to be anxious but keep blessing the Lord at all times.
Anxiety and worrying robs people of the joys and blessings God wants them to experience in life.
Rather than be anxious over anything, let us keep our minds focused on God, through studying His Word and constantly express our faith in His divine abilities through praise.
A lifestyle of praise will guarantee the continual flow of miracles in our lives. Certainly, today, as we thank and praise God for His constant goodness and faithfulness, He will do unprecedented, inexplicable wonders in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always remain thankful and bless You at all times. Today, I praise You Lord for all Your faithfulness and for granting me speedy answers to my prayers in Jesus Name. ,
