Lamentations 3:21-23 [RSV] “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.’”

DAILY READING – Revelation 9; Nehemiah 12; Psalm 104:1-23

On the Christian Broadcasting Network was recently featured the amazing story of Brittany Bakenhaster who miraculously recovered after she was sent home from the hospital to die.
Brittany was only 3 years old when she started having grand mal seizures. Over the course of the next two years, Brittany’s illness took its toll on her parents. They were stretched physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, even financially. One bottle of medication cost about $50 and they couldn’t afford it. She needed 24 hour-a-day care, night and day, because of the continual seizures.
But through the trial her parents found comfort in God’s word. They stood on Gods promise in Psalms 37:4-5
which says ‘Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart,’”
They refused to look at what was happening outwardly, and chose to delight themselves in the Lord. Her parents continued to pray, and speak positively.
Eventually the hospital gave up and discharged Brittany to go home and die. That night her mother cried out to God all night long for a miracle. When the morning came, the parents were amazed to hear Brittany who had not spoken for a year, suddenly begin calling ‘Jesus, Jesus.’
Brittany, told her parents she had seen Jesus. When they took Brittany back to the hospital, the medical team were amazed. Brittany was totally healed!

Brittany’s story is a testament of God’s awesome ability to always come through for those who trust in Him.
God is in control of your destiny therefore it is never over in your life until He says so. Even if it seems too late to men, it is never too late for God.
And when you delight yourself in the Lord, He will surely give you the desire of your heart.
Instead of cowering in the face of problems, rather we are to stand upon Gods promises and keep speaking positively.
Though weeping may sometimes endure for a night, surely, joy comes in the morning.

Lamentations 3:21-23 says “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.’” [RSV]
Indeed great is God’s love and faithfulness. He will never give up on us as long as we don’t give up on Him. No matter how hopeless any situation, as we persist in faith, God is able to intervene and do the miraculous.
God has assured us that when we go through the fire of trials He will be right there with us. [Isaiah 43:2-5].
Therefore, regardless of the circumstances, keep your faith strong and keep giving glory to God.
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. As we focus on His Word we will be strengthened by faith in our inner man to always overcome in any trial. Therefore today let us keep thanking the Lord and praising Him because no matter what we may face, it will surely all end in praise!

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always remain strong in faith, and keep giving You the glory because in every situation, I am destined to always be more than a conqueror in Jesus Name.
