JULY 3; EMPOWERED BY THE SPIRIT FOR EXPLOITS!

Luke 4:14-15 ‘And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.‭’

DAILY READING; 1 Timothy 2; Isaiah 34-35; Psalm 119:65-96

Pastor Toufik “Benny” Hinn is a notable Israeli minister of the Gospel.
After getting born again in February 1972, Benny began spending hours in his room fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit for several months until the flow of God’s power and glory became evident in his life.
By 1974, Benny began to sense that the Holy Spirit wanted him to preach the Gospel. But he had a stuttering problem that he was quite worried about and this made Benny reluctant to preach, as he felt he would only end up embarrassing himself.
He told the Lord “Lord, you know that I can’t talk.”
Soon after, Benny became acquainted with pastor Stan Phillips of Trinity Assembly of God in Ontario Canada and was given the opportunity to preach at his Church.
On December 7, 1974, four days after his 22nd birthday, Benny Hinn for the first time in his life, stood behind a pulpit to preach.
He was still worried about his stuttering, but the instant he opened his mouth to preach, he felt God heal his stuttering and he began to proclaim God’s Word with absolute fluency.
From that point onward, his ministry began to mushroom as invitations to preach poured in from several Churches.
Today, five decades after, Pastor Benny Hinn’s ministry has spread to several nations and greatly impacted the world. He has preached the Gospel face to face and through television to more than a billion people.

Truly, the anointing of the Spirit is the difference-maker!
It will take you from obscurity to making global impacts.
Through the Holy Spirit, you will be turned into ‘another man’ and empowered to overcome hindrances and limitations to fulfill a glorious destiny.
The anointing is not only for ministers of the Gospel, it is needed by every believer, because it is what makes us effective in our endeavors.
As Believers in Christ we are afforded several benefits and abilities through the Holy Spirit to accomplish exploits for God’s glory.
We must always remember that the same power that God anointed Jesus with is ours.
Jesus lived quietly for 30 years in Galilee and was locally recognized as the carpenter’s son. But after He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Luke 4:14 says that He returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. The anointing announced Him!
Likewise, through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we will move from being locally recognized to becoming announced internationally.
In this new month of July, as you make a fresh commitment to seek the Holy Spirit wholeheartedly, through greater fervency in the place of prayer, worship and study of the Word, He’s going to give you the anointing to experience exceptional open doors. You’re going to see a new level of strength, a new level of stamina, a new level of boldness to step up to do things you have never done before and accomplish extraordinary exploits for Gods kingdom.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit in my life that is so much greater than all of my might and power. I receive the grace to seek You with greater fervency in this month so that by Your anointing I will ascend to glorious new heights in Jesus Name. .

JULY 2; OUR CONNECTION TO POWER!

1 Corinthians 2:9  ‘But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:

DAILY READING  •  1 Timothy 1, Isaiah 31-33, Psalm 119:33-64

Electricity is an amazing thing. We tend to take it for granted that when we flip the switch, the lights will come on. We can’t see it, smell it, or taste it, but it is there!
In the study of electricity, one of its most outstanding characteristics  is that electricity always takes the path of least resistance. Often the power of the Spirit has been likened to electricity. And likewise too the Holy Spirit will flow where He is not being resisted. It is also interesting that in nature, we find the same character in two things often used to represent the Spirit; the river and the wind.  Rivers flow in the path of least resistance, and the wind will take the path of least resistance.  The Holy Spirit will always go where He is welcome and wherever He is resisted He tends to withdraw Himself. To be successful in our Christian walk  we must be sensitive not to resist, grieve, or quench the Spirit of the Lord.

In Acts 7:51, Stephen rebuked the Jews saying “You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you”.

And in Ephesians 4:30-31 Paul writing to the church at Ephesus, commanded them: “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit.” In the next verse he indicated the things that grieve The Spirit of God. “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice”.

Indeed if we are going to be led by the Spirit, then we have to get rid of such things from our lives. The Holy Spirit is a person,  and He can be saddened by our behavior. When we, God’s people, harbor bitterness in our hearts and malicious words in our mouths, then we are “grieving The Holy Spirit of God.”

Just as a fire can be quenched, the promptings of the Holy Spirit can be stifled.
God has a plan and a purpose He wants to accomplish through our lives, especially in this second half of the year, but they can only be accessed through the guidance of the Spirit.

1 Cor 2:9 says ‘But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:

We need the Holy Spirit to guide us into the great and mighty things God has for us in the new month. As you submit wholly to Him He will begin to reveal Himself to you in a new dimension. He will begin to show you the secrets that make stars of men. And one of the ways to create a conducive atmosphere for The Holy Spirit to work in our lives is by maintaining a lifestyle of worship. The more our atmosphere is filled with praise and worship to God the more The Holy Spirit moves, to manifest His miracles, signs and wonders in our lives.
In this new month let us continually maintain the Presence of the Spirit by keeping our atmosphere filled with worship, praise and thanksgiving to God. And when The Holy feels welcomed and not being resisted, then He will begin to manifest mightily and blaze like a mighty fire that will burn every chaff in us and transform us into living wonders ..

PRAYER:  Lord, please help me to never resist Your Spirit. Today, I receive the grace to live a life wholly submitted to Your Word and filled with Your praise, so that the Holy Spirit will flow freely and mightily doing wonders through me in Jesus Name.

JULY 1; SEASON OF FRESH DIVINE ENCOUNTER!

Zechariah‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”
‭‭
DAILY READING – 2 Thessalonians 3; Isaiah 29-30; Psalm 119:1-32

The first time Archbishop Benson Idahosa raised a dead person, he was probably more astonished that any one else. His spiritual Journey started in the 60s and 70s when he was in The Assemblies of God Church.
One day, at the age of 24, Benson Idahosa heard his pastor say that Christians could raise the dead in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Idahosa walked up to the Pastor and asked if what he said was true.
The pastor replied, ‘yes, I’ve never done it, but if the Bible says it, then it is true.’
Idahosa believed what his pastor said.
Eager to see it happen, he climbed on his bicycle and went through the city of Benin in search of a dead person to raise to life. After about five hours, around 4:30 pm he saw a crowd of people lamenting the death of a three year old girl who had died a few hours before.
Excited, Idahosa walked boldly up to the father of the dead child and asked for permission to pray and raise the child from dead. The man was startled, but he agreed. With great enthusiasm, Idahosa walked to the bed, where the dead child lay, the family members surrounded him curiously. But as he started praying, nothing happened. After a while he became quite frustrated and began considering ways of escaping from the embarrassing situation. But with his remaining faith he called the child’s name and commanded “Arise in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” And then suddenly, to his greatest surprise, the dead girl sneezed, heavily, and came back to life!
This encounter made Idahosa to become greatly aware of the mighty power of the Holy Spirit. He would later launch into a worldwide ministry of demonstrating the power of God throughout the world.

When Benson Idahosa came to the end of his own wits, the power of the Holy Spirit suddenly caused the dead girl to arise.
Through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we become empowered by God for extraordinary accomplishments..
The assignment God has called us to can never be accomplished by our own strength. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit, that we can go beyond our limited human capabilities, achieve miraculous feats and make great global impacts.

When God asked Zerubbabel to build the temple, He said to him ‘This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.’ [Zechariah 4:6-7].

Through the anointing of the Spirit, the apostles went beyond being ordinary men, to become supernatural beings that turned their world ‘upside down’ and made great impacts in their generation.
In this new month of July, we need the divine quickening of the Spirit to launch us into new realms of exploits.
We can’t afford to continue living ordinary mediocre lives, while the greatness destined for us remains dormant and unactivated.
In this 7th month, which signifies perfection, let us trust God to do something new in our lives. As we come into the second half of this year, let us trust God to make a way in the wilderness, and cause rivers to flow in the desert for us. ( Isaiah 43:19).
To position ourselves for a fresh encounter, we need to seek greater intimacy with the Spirit of God in this season. Through renewed appetite for God’s Word, fervent prayers and passionate worship, certainly we will experience an eruption of power that will bring us into the realm of sweat-less triumph, and supernatural breakthroughs!

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to spiritually position myself in this new month for a fresh encounter with Your Spirit. By Your grace I will surely experience the activation of my great destiny in Jesus Name

JUNE 30; GOD’S PRESENCE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!

Psalm 44:3 ‘For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them’

DAILY READING – 2 Thessalonians 2; Isaiah 27-28; Psalm 118

An outstanding example of miraculous open doors in the Bible is the story of Esther.
More than 2500 years after Queen Esther lived on the earth, she is still a celebrity among the Jews.
The widely recognized Jewish holiday, feast of Purim, is especially dedicated to her.
The story of Esther remains intriguing not only because of what she did but also how she experienced an amazing change of story. From an unknown orphan, God elevated her to become the queen in the land of her slavery and turned her into a celebrated historical figure.
The feast of Purim is the commemoration of how God used Queen Esther in saving the Jews from Haman’s plot to exterminate them in the ancient Persian empire.
As part of the celebrations, Jewish people gather at the synagogue where the story of Esther is recited. Observers also perform plays and parodies of Esther’s story.
Purim has a carnival-like atmosphere, with people either wearing their best Sabbath clothing or fancy dress – with King Xerxes, Vashti, Queen Esther, Mordecai and Haman among the most popular costumes. On the eve of Purim, Jews do not eat or drink from dawn until dusk to remember Esther’s three-day fast in preparation to meet the King. However, during the festival people celebrate with lots of eating and drinking.
Purim holiday is celebrated with great joy every year among the Jews, in appreciation for God’s saving grace in using Esther to deliver them from Haman’s evil plot .

Indeed Esther’s story exemplifies how God can give someone a sudden flight of destiny, taking them from the dunghill to sit among princes.
Just as supernatural favor made the difference in Esther’s life, so it can suddenly transform the life of anyone who is divinely connected to God.
Favour is a mystery. It cannot be orchestrated by human effort. A man of Power may do the work, but a man of Favour will reap the harvest.
In God’s agenda we are meant to possess the land by His favor and not by our labor.
(Psalm 44:3).
God is committed to giving His people favor, and we are privileged to be His people by redemption.
Just as the favor of God rested upon Jesus, and upon the early Church, so are we destined to enjoy divine favor today of the month of.
Luke 2:52 says ‘And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man’.
And also Acts 2:47 said the disciples were ‘Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved .

It is instructional that through praising God, the disciples enjoyed favor and supernatural increase.
Praise is indeed key to experiencing divine favor. This is because when you engage in praise, you engage the Presence of God which makes all the difference in any situation.
Every man that makes praise His lifestyle would never run out of favor.
As we come to the end of the month of June today, and get ready for the next half of the year, we certainly need God’s divine favor.
As we continue to praise and bless God at all times, surely by His favor we shall enjoy unprecedented progress in the months ahead of us!

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for bringing me to the end of the month of June today. Please enable me to commit to a lifestyle of praise so that I can be clothed with divine favor that will ensure supernatural open doors in all my endeavors in Jesus Name.

JUNE 29; ACKNOWLEDGING GOD’S GOODNESS!

1 Chronicles 29: 12-13 ‘Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name’

DAILY READING; 2 Thessalonians 1; Isaiah 25-26; Psalm 117

Dave Ramsey is financial guru, eight-time national bestselling author and host of The Ramsey Show, heard by 23 million listeners every week.
Dave Ramsey made money early in life and by age 26, he already had a portfolio worth more than $4 million. But though he was getting rich, at the same time, he was feeling more and more empty inside.
Then one day while he was at a business seminar, the speaker, who was a Christian, told the audience, “To be truly successful,” he said, “you’ve got to know this man named Jesus.”
For some reason, the speaker’s words began haunting Dave.
Eventually, he decided to start going to a Church, and became a Christian but he never really gave God full control over his life.
Not long after that, he fell into financial trouble, that made him to eventually declare bankruptcy. With his success, self-reliance and money stripped away, Dave now turned fully to God for help and began spending a lot of time praying.
As he studied the Bible, God taught him about stewardship and he began to understand that everything belonged to God and he was just a manager of God’s resources. — He was reminded of Psalm 24:1 that says “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof”.
As Dave now became totally dependent on God, out of the ashes of his failure came forth a ministry of teaching people what he was learning about God’s ways of handling money. God prospered his ministry and through radio, television, books, magazines, live events, and financial classes, he has over the years helped millions of people to experience financial turnarounds. Today he is recognized as one of the world’s leading financial experts.
Recalling where God had brought him from, Dave Ramsey often publicly expresses His gratitude to God, standing up in front of his team, he gives thanks for all that God has done in and around him.

1 Chronicles 29: 12-13 King David poured out his heart in gratitude as he blessed the Lord before all the congregation: From a poor shepherd boy God took him to the throne and David remained ever grateful ,he declared in 1 Chronicles 29: “‘Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.’

When we understand that we own nothing but that all we have and will ever have come from God, then we will always be thankful, grateful and praise-full.
Everything we are we owe to God; everything we have comes from Him.
Whatever resources we are privileged to acquire on earth belongs to God and is meant to be used to serve Him. We came to this world naked. We didn’t bring anything into this world and it is certain, we can’t take anything out of this world when we leave.
A nan who refuses to acknowledge God and thinks he is progressing by his own smartness and efforts can be likened to the rich fool in Luke 12. After this man had gathered much wealth he planned to enjoy for many years, as he was congratulating himself, that very night, he was told he was going to die .
It is a risk to keep aspiring to great heights of success, if your spiritual foundation is not strong in God.
One attack of misfortune can wipe out everything.
This is why Jesus asked ‘what does it profit a man to gain the world and yet lose his own soul?’
Those who prioritize gold above God can suddenly lose everything without warning.
Therefore for our lives to be truly meaningful, we must make God our greatest priority and keep giving Him all the glory for every progress, knowing that He is our source and sustainer.
Acknowledging God at every turn and blessing Him at all times is what guarantees us unstoppable progress in life.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to always bless and praise You in every situation. I know You are always faithful and I thank You for Your goodness, mercy and favor that continues to prevail over my life in Jesus Name. .

JUNE 28; TURNAROUND POWER OF THE BLOOD!

Genesis 50:20 [NLT] ‘You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.’

DAILY READING; • 1 Thessalonians 5; Isaiah 23-24; Psalm 116

In AD 64, Rome suffered a terrible fire that burned for six days and seven nights consuming almost three quarters of the city. The people accused the Emperor Nero for the devastation claiming he set the fire for his own amusement. In order to deflect these accusations and placate the people, Nero laid blame for the fire on the Christians and ordered their arrest.
Starting from that point, persecution of Christians became official policy in Rome for the first time. Soon sights of Christians facing lions in the Colosseum or being burnt at the stake became a familiar scene.
Thereafter pagans began blaming Christians for absurd things such as accusing them of causing earthquakes and floods etc. On the contrary, Christians prayed for the welfare of the people, and when disasters occurred, it was they who helped the victims, not the pagans.
Many people were amazed by the response of the Christians.
The more Christians were persecuted, the more they bore bold witness to the power of their Faith. Even when Christians were to be put to death, they would go along, often praying and joyfully singing hymns. Many people were moved by their courage and came to believe that there must be something special about the Christian faith.
In the end, the result of the persecutions turned out to be the exact opposite of what had been intended. Rather than reduce the Church, the martyrs’ witness persuaded many people to believe in Christ and this ended up increasing the number of believers.

God knows how to turn around what was meant for evil to be for the good of His people.
At the Cross, the devil thought he was cutting down God’s Kingdom by crucifying Christ. But what he didn’t know was that through Christ’s crucifixion, the door of salvation opened up for many more sons and daughters to be brought into God’s Kingdom. Truly, if the devil had known, he would not have crucified the king of glory.
Anytime you are being attacked or persecuted by the enemy, always be assured that God knows how to turnaround the adversities to your advantage.
Genesis 50:20 shows us that He is truly a turnaround God. He dramatically caused the plans of Joseph’s brothers to backfire and turned things around in Joseph’s favor.
In Psalm 30:11 David said “Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;’

Certainly, God knows how to turn our sorrow into joy, and transform our disappointments into great blessings.
This is why we praise Him even in the face of difficulties.
Indeed, God is too faithful to fail!
As long as you walk in obedience to God’s Word, any door the enemy tries to close against you, will only end up leading to greater doors of opportunity and blessings in your life.
As a child of God, in every conflict you are always guaranteed victory through the turnaround power in the Blood of Jesus
Therefore, let us learn to look beyond obvious challenges and rather keep praising God at all times because we know that no matter what happens, His divine purpose is being worked out together for our good.

PRAYER; Lord please enable me to always stand in faith no matter the oppositions I may face. Thank You Lord for always fighting my battles and giving me the victory at last in Jesus Name.

JUNE 27; LIVING TO BRING GLORY TO GOD!

Peter-1 4:11. If any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever.’

DAILY READING • 1 Thessalonians 4; Isaiah 20-22; Psalm 115

In 1924, pioneer Assemblies of God missionary to China, W. W. Simpson and fellow missionary Florence Hanson were in Shanghai for the purpose of printing a Chinese-language hymnal.
Their business trip quickly turned into a spiritual awakening and unplanned revival, when a sick person they prayed for instantly got healed. When the news spread, residents clamored to find out what had happened.
Soon local Christians organized services, where the missionaries preached and many people were saved, healed and baptized in the Holy Spirit. One of the first people swept up in this move of God was Mrs. Ching. She was the sister to Dr. Wang Yun Wu who was a leading Chinese Scholar and notable atheist at the time.
Mrs. Ching , not only was baptized in the Holy Spirit, but God also corrected her eyesight! For 10 years she had been dependent upon her eyeglasses for daily life and for her writing duties at the Commercial Press, a large publishing house where her brother, Dr. Wang, served as editor-in-chief.
Mrs. Ching’s healing so astounded her family that her brother, Dr. Wang asked to speak to the missionaries who had prayed for her. After the Gospel was also preached to Dr. Wang, he explained to the missionary that he was a strict Confucianist, who did not believe in God, but he said he was forced by seeing his sister’s miracle to admit that indeed there must be a living and a true God. That day, Dr. Wang abandoned atheism and accepted the deity of Christ. He went on to become a noted scholar of history and served as Vice Premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 1958 to 1963.

The two Assemblies of God missionaries had only gone to Shanghai to print a book, but the power of God suddenly manifested through them to bring revival into that town.
Wherever we go, we are to bring glory to God, through the demonstrations of His power in our lives. When men see the mighty manifestation of the Spirit of God, generating exceptional testimonies through us, they will be drawn to Christ.
Today, people are hungry to see the manifestation of power. Our speaking mere words alone will not convince them, they need to see proofs and powerful demonstrations! People are so desperate for solutions to their many problems that they will willingly follow whoever seems to have an answer.
All over the world, there are people who are facing incurable health issues, insurmountable financial challenges, troubles in their homes, families, businesses, etc. These situations are opportunities for us, as believers, to let men see the power of our God demonstrated. Through us there should be revival, deliverance, healings and positive transformations in our families, communities and nations.
We must understand that Christianity is not just a mere religion, it is for the demonstration of God’s power on the earth.

1Corinthians 2:4 says ‘the kingdom of God is not in words, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power!’

As the redeemed of the Lord, we are meant to be living and walking in the supernatural, manifesting God’s power wherever we go.
In our homes, families, communities, offices, we have the responsibility of being solution providers through manifesting miracles signs and wonders.
This is why we cannot continue to live mundane lives, but rather accept the spiritual responsibility of diligently seeking God until His power rests upon our lives.
Power will come when we maintain a lifestyle of purity, fervent prayers, study of the Word and passionate praise. The more time we spend with the Spirit of God in fellowship and worship, the more His power will flow through us to bring healings to the hurting world and cause men to glorify our Father in Heaven.

PRAYER: Father, please enable me to always live a spiritually fervent life so that my light will so greatly shine before men, that they will see my good works and continually glorify Your holy Name in Jesus Name.

JUNE 26; LET GOD’S WILL PREVAIL!

Isaiah 55:8-9 ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’

DAILY READING • 1 Thessalonians 2:17-3:13; Isaiah 17-19; Psalm 114

Glad Tidings Tabernacle, located in New York City, was for many decades one of the largest Assemblies of God congregations in the United States. It was started in 1907 by Marie Burgess.
Before Marie was born, her parents had earnestly prayed for a son who would become a minister of the Gospel. But in spite of their prayers a daughter, Marie, was born to them on October day in 1880.
At age 10, Marie was stricken with tuberculosis and was near death when she experienced visions and divine visitations that led her to totally surrender her life to serve Christ.
Afterward, Marie was hungry for the things of God.
On her 26th birthday, while attending a prayer meeting, she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. That profound experience ushered Marie into a new season of greater spiritual growth .
She subsequently started her ministry in New York. The mission began in a small rented storefront where she set up 96 chairs, praying that the chairs would be filled. That day, two drunks stumbled into the small mission and accepted Christ.
From there attendance at the mission began to grow until it prospered into a strong church, which later became affiliated with the Assemblies of God in 1914.
Marie Burgess was notably one of the greatest women of God in her generation, who touched the world with the power of the Gospel.
Although it was a son that Marie’s parents had earnestly prayed for, yet the daughter that was given to them exceeded their expectations, and brought great blessings to their household.

If we pray for something and don’t receive the exact answer to our requests we may find ourselves asking, ‘Lord why?’
But when we are faithfully serving God and following His Word, then we can trust that whatever He does is for our good. His thoughts towards us are thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give us an expected end.
God alone knows the end from the beginning, and while we may be praying according to our own limited human understanding, God works according to His own divine plan and purpose. And His ways and thoughts are always higher than our own. [Isaiah 55:8-9].
While we make see in part, God alone sees the whole picture. This is why we must learn to trust Him in every situation.
Every time you come to a fork in the road of your life, your major concern should be ‘let God’s Will prevail!’
Facing the cross, Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done” because He was wholly submitted to His Father’s will and fully trusted God.
Likewise, our primary concern at all times, should be for the will of God to be done in our lives, trusting Him to work out what’s best for our lives. (Romans 8:28).
God is sovereign and works all things according to the counsel of His will.. But whatever He does, it is always meant to end in praise and bring glory to Him through our lives.
This is why in everything we give Him thanks and keep blessing Him, because we know that He never fails those that trust in Him.

PRAYER: Lord, please give me the grace to always trust You and place Your will above mine. I praise You Lord because I know that even right now, You are working out all things together for my good in Jesus Name.

JUNE 25; DON’T RETREAT, VICTORY IS COMING!

Galatians 6:9 ‘And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.’

DAILY READING –1 Thessalonians 2:1-16; Isaiah 14-16; Psalm 113

During Israel’s Independence War, one of the notable miracles was what happened at the town of Katamon. This town held a key strategic position in Jerusalem. As Israeli forces advanced, they quickly captured a monastery in the town being used as the Arab forces’ base of operations. However the Arabs soon mounted a fierce counter-attack. And after hours of fighting the Israeli soldiers found themselves low on ammunition. Additionally, they had suffered serious injuries. And so they decided to retreat. But some of the wounded soldiers couldn’t move, and if left behind and found by the Arabs, they would be tortured and mutilated. And so it was decided that those too badly wounded would be put in a room rigged with explosives. Two soldiers would stay behind and detonate the explosives when Arab forces came to capture them. However what the Israelis did not know then was that the Arab forces had also suffered many casualties and were out of Ammunition and they were just about to surrender. The Israeli soldiers were on their way out the door, when suddenly a message came on their radio. “don’t retreat”. The message came from their military headquarters. The Arabs had already retreated! Overjoyed, the Israeli soldiers stayed on until reinforcements arrived to treat the wounded. Raful, the platoon commander, who was shot on the head, survived. And most miraculously the Israeli troop, regained strength and eventually won the battle!

Galatians 6: 9 says ‘And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.’

Sometimes, in the midst of a fierce battle we may be tempted to give up . But the message to us today is ‘Don’t retreat!, don’t give up.’ Help is on the way.
It is often darkest just before the day breaks. Don’t give up! Often in life’s battles, when the going gets tough or you get knocked down, it can be tempting to throw in the towel. But Whatever you may be faced with today, understand that you are born to win. You are fighting, not for victory, but from victory. Victory is already in you by reason of Christ in you. Therefore it doesn’t matter how fierce the battle, through Christ you are more than a conqueror.
The truth is that you are capable of much more accomplishment than you realize. You have potentials for greater victories within you. It is not about you, it is about Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is not about your capability, it is about His ability at work in you. You have what it takes to win your battles. So do not be weary, do not give up too soon. Your victory is around the corner. The enemy has already lost the battle and has been defeated. The Goliath fighting you today may look like a champion, but like David, you are the one with the heart of the champion. You have the victory!. Just keep praising God, because help is on the way. indeed very soon everything will turn around for your good.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to stand strong despite the fierce winds of oppositions. I thank You because through Christ I am more than a conqueror in every battle in Jesus Name.

JUNE 24: RAISE A SONG OF VICTORY!

2 Chronicles 20:22 “And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.”

DAILY READING – Revelation 22; Isaiah 11; Psalm 112

“My weapon is a melody… heaven’s going to fight for me…” says one line of the popular song Raise A Hallelujah” by Bethel Music’.
This song is evident of the power of praise as it brought a miracle in the darkest hour of the life of the CEO of Bethel music Joel Taylor.
In 2018, just before Christmas Joel’s wife and two-year-old son, had just built their Christmas cake train. But later that evening the little boy lay down on the floor in a manner that made his mother know something was terribly wrong.
When he was airlifted to an intensive care unit, he was diagnosed as suffering a deadly infection that had shut down his kidneys and was causing seizures.
His mom and dad felt hopeless when one night the doctor told them he didn’t think their son would make it through the night.
When they relayed the grave news to their friend, Jonathan David Hesler, who is a worship leader, he shared in their pain. In that moment of desperation all of a sudden, out of Jonathan’s spirit arose a song. He wrote down the song with lyrics like– ‘I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies. I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief.’”
He immediately sent this song to Joel and his wife, who began to sing and declare the lyrics over their dying son. Miraculously the child survived that night. After several weeks in the hospital, numerous treatments and countless prayers, Jason Taylor’s little boy was totally healed and remains healthy and sound.
And today the song “Raise a Hallelujah’ which came at their darkest hour has continued to bless many people around the world.

In 2 Chronicles 20, as king Jehoshaphat and his people raised songs of praise in the presence of their overwhelming enemies, God gave them miraculous victory.
Praise is what triggers the intervention of the Omnipotent God.
We don’t have to wait to see our miracle before we give God praise. That’s not how faith works. You’ve got to give God praise first and as your praise goes up, then the blessings and miracles will come down. Praise always precedes the victory. If we remain discouraged and focus on our problems, it will limit what God can do.
Just like king Jehoshaphat, when you begin to sing and praise God in the face of your challenges, He will set an ambush against the enemies of sickness, poverty, and every negative thing fighting against you. Your songs of praise is what activates God’s miracle working power.
Isaiah 54;1 says, “Sing, oh barren woman, you who never bore a child. Break forth into song and shout for joy”.

This verse essentially means that even while you are barren you should sing and praise God despite your condition Your songs of praise is what will move God to turn the dry season into your season of fruitfulness.
Whatever challenging situation you may face today, praise is able to pull you out of it. Instead of focusing on the problem, focus on the goodness of God and give Him worthy praise and watch Him grant you speedy recovery and total turnaround..

PRAYER; Lord, Please help me to always maintain a praise-full lifestyle, despite any negative condition. Thank You Lord for causing me to triumph always in Jesus Name. .
