SEPTEMBER 29; DEFENDED BY THE BLOOD..

Zechariah 2:5 ‘For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.’

DAILY READING – Luke 19:28-48; Genesis 34; Psalm 26

On 10th May 2021, an 11-day war erupted in the Middle East between Israel and Palestine. This would be their fourth war within fourteen years.

As the world watched the media coverage of the war, one remarkable thing stood out; This was the pyrotechnic display of Israel’s missile defense system called the iron Dome.
As rockets shot by Hamas arched towards Israel, they were picked from the sky and exploded mid-air by the iron Dome.
Throughout the war, there were constant loud bangs and trails of white smoke across the sky as the iron Dome intercepted rockets.
The iron Dome is designed specifically for Israel’s peculiar security challenge. Israel is often threatened by rocket attacks from neighboring terrorist groups such as Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Iron Dome defense enables Israelis to live normal lives without bothering about the thousands of rockets always pointed at them across their borders.
In this latest conflict, though Hamas fired over 4,360 rockets at populated areas in Israel, 90 percent of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome.
Out of the 269 casualties in the war, only 13 Israelis were killed. This low casualty rate in Israel was mostly due to the protection of the iron Dome.
Indeed many Israelis see the iron Dome as God-sent and a great blessing as they live surrounded by enemies..

As believers, we live in a world, where fierce spiritual battles are being fought on all fronts. In these battles spiritual arrows and missiles are flying furiously in different directions, day and night.
However, due to the covering of the Blood of Jesus, we are shielded and able to live without fear, despite the raging battles.

Psalm 91:4b says ‘Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.’

Indeed the Blood of Jesus is our spiritual missile deflector that destroys the arrows of the wicked. The Blood continually surrounds us and speaks over our lives, ‘Touch not’ to every passing plague.
The mark of the Blood, identifies us as Blood-washed and Blood-bought. It shows that we belong to the One who was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. Therefore by His Blood, we have been made untouchable.
Indeed the Blood is our stronghold in battles and God’s protective wall of fire around us and our families.

In Zechariah 2:5 God says ‘For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.’

The Blood of Jesus is our divine seal that makes our lives inaccessible to the forces of evil.
The only way a believer can be afflicted is if he steps out of the hedge of the protection of the Blood. This is why we are counseled by Scriptures not to break the hedge through sin. Certainly as we maintain a life of purity and holiness we will abide under divine cover.
Today, as we remain spiritually fervent through constant prayers, study of the Word and praise, surely by the Blood, no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for neutralizing every evil attack against me and my family through the power in the Blood of Jesus. Surely, no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 28; GOD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU.

Exodus 14:14 ‘The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.’

DAILY READING – Luke 19:1-27; Genesis 32-33; Psalm 25

Recently this year, an exhibition fight, was scheduled between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson. An exhibition fight is not a serious fight, but usually a brief boxing match between famous boxers for charity purposes or for public entertainment.

Today, in a fight with Tyson, many people will expect Evander to win because of his previous victory in their two boxing matches.

However, 25 years ago, in 1996, when Evander first faced Tyson in a historical fight, it was a totally different story.
Many people didn’t think Evander would even survive in the ring because of Tyson’s frightening reputation as the ‘baddest’ boxer in the world.
When a poll was taken of 50 boxing writers on who would win, 49 voted for Tyson, only one person voted for Holyfield. Yet despite the great odds against him, Holyfield who is a devoted Christian, maintained unshakable faith in God. He told the media and everyone that his God would give him the victory.

Evander was so sure because he had seen God do amazing miracles in his boxing career.
Evander knew that the same God would also give him the victory in the fight with Tyson..
And so while he had trained physically, Evander had also prepared spiritually through prayers. He later told the media
‘i prayed during training. I prayed when I got in the ring with Mike, and I still prayed when I was fighting.’
The result of this much prayer was that when they finally entered the ring, Evander Holyfield shockingly knocked out Tyson in the 11th round.
This victory which took place in Las Vegas, made many believers out of the famously hedonistic city.
This fight was later called the greatest boxing upset in history, yet it was a battle where God showed up and showed Himself faithful, because one man trusted in Him.

When we understand that all power belongs to God and all victories come from Him, then we will not fret or cry over any challenge.
Rather our focus will be on how to engage God to fight for us.

Many of the challenges we face on earth may appear natural but in reality their roots are spiritual. And to win in such life’s battles, we need a spiritual approach.
We need to commit every situation to God through fervent prayers.

No matter how insurmountable the obstacle,, we must always remember that we serve the God who is the mighty Man in battle. He is El Shaddai, which means Almighty God who destroys over powers.
He is Yahweh-Sabaoth, the LORD of Hosts, who has military prowess and is the Mighty Warrior. And He is Yahweh-Nissi, the LORD our Banner.

Indeed when God arises to fight for you, every enemy must be scattered. This is why we should always ensure God is on our side by remaining spiritually fervent when faced with trials and oppositions.

Indeed God’s desire for us is to be stable, consistent and not moved by circumstances. His will is that we trust in Him and be at rest no matter what happens.

Exodus 14:13 says ‘Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today:’

Certainly, today, as we remain steadfast in study of the Word, prayers and praise, the Lord will fight our battles and we will hold our peace.

PRAYER:
Father, I know that You are indeed able to give me the victory in every battle. Thank You Lord for the grace to build up my faith through diligent study of Your Word, prayers and praise in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 27; INTERCESSION INVITES INTERVENTION..

Psalm 50:15 ;Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

DAILY – Luke 18:18-43; Genesis 31; Psalm 24

The nation of America used to be a group of 13 British colonies. Due to harsh treatment from the British government, these 13 colonies revolted and clamored for independence. This desire for freedom would result in a war with Britain, which began in 1775 and ended in 1783.
History records that Prayer played an important role in American’s victory in this war. Before the war started, delegates from the different colonies gathered together to hold the first Continental Congress in September 1774.
These men recognized the need to make prayer the foundation of their quest for independence.
Among those who knelt in prayer that day was George Washington who would serve as commander in chief of the Army and later became the first U.S. president. Alongside him were some of the founding fathers of America including Patrick Henry, James Madison, and John Hancock.
These men desperately prayed for divine intervention.
With great emotions they turned imploringly to heaven for help, as tears gushed from some of their eyes.
God indeed did answer their prayers and on July 4, 1776, the United States claimed independence from Britain, and the democratic republic was born.

Prayer is certainly the foundation of successful endeavors.
Indeed victory must first be established in the spirit realm through prayer, before it manifests physically.
Why some endeavors fail is because people ignore the necessity of the spiritual foundation of prayer.

But there is no intervention without intercession. Miracles are not accidental occurrences; they are the deliberate acts of God provoked by the desperate faith of men. God comes to the rescue of people who are frantically searching for Him and seeking His help.

We certainly need divine intervention when faced with strong battles.
We need God to bring down the pharaohs that refuse our freedom and the goliaths that resist our enthronement.
Especially this year, we need God to destroy any thing trying to hinder us from partaking of the prophesied wonder agenda.
Indeed as we turn our hearts to God, He will turn His hands to help.
As we get on our knees and cry out for assistance, God will certainly crush every resistance.
Whatever situation you’re facing today, remember that there is an answer to it in prayer.

Psalm 31:19-20 says God has goodness stored up for those who trust in Him.
Therefore, today, as we build up our trust in God through indepth study of His Word and call upon Him, He will surely manifest His great goodness towards us. He will exceed our expectations and cause our intercessions to yield divine interventions.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to never become weary in intercession. As I persist in prayers, I thank You Lord for the soon manifestation of my desired answers in Jesus’ Name.

SEPTEMBER 26; KEY TO FLOW OF BLESSINGS..

Proverbs 10:22 ‘The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.’

DAILY READING ; Luke 18:1-17; Genesis 29:31-30:43; Psalm 23

John D. Rockefeller is arguably history’s single greatest funder of biomedical research. His resources funded many of the most significant medical advances of the 20th century. His efforts began in 1901, when he founded America’s first research institution for experimental medicine:
He expanded his funding of biomedical research in 1913 with the creation of the Rockefeller Foundation, which funded many promising scholars and organizations dedicated to advancing the understanding of human health.
The remarkable influence of Rockefeller’s money on medical discovery, is that there are 47 Nobel Prize winners who were financially supported by Rockefeller generosity in their research before they earned their Nobel prize.

Interestingly John D. Rockefeller learned the lesson of giving in a hard way.
He became a millionaire at the age of 23, and by the age of 50 he became a billionaire.
However by the age of 53 he became afflicted with a strange illness that made his personal physicians to predict he would die within a year.
One night Rockefeller had a dream that showed him he would not leave the earth with his wealth. This made him to established a foundation that would channel his assets to hospitals, research, and mission work.
Rockefeller, who was a faithful tither, also supported many Church-based institutions throughout his life. Amazingly, the moment John D. Rockefeller began to give generously, his health was mysteriously restored so that instead of dying at 53, he lived to be 98 years. Rockefeller strongly believed that the ability to make money is a gift from God which is to be developed in order to make as much money as possible, and then use the money wisely for the good of mankind.

Proverbs 10:22 says that the blessing of the LORD makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. However, the reason why people get rich and sometimes experience sorrow is because of abuse of the purpose of wealth.
God’s financial resources are primarily entrusted to promote His Kingdom and bless humanity.
We must recognize that Kingdom wealth is entrusted to people God can trust to fulfill His purpose with it.
When a river is flowing out to other channels, it is clean and fresh. But if that river becomes stagnant, stops flowing out and begins to accumulate its water, it begins to stink and becomes a problem to the environment.
In the same way, wealth that is only accumulated and does not flow out becomes a problem.
We are not to accumulate wealth but rather to use it to carry out God’s purpose on the earth. In Genesis 12:2 God told Abraham that He would bless him and through him the world would be blessed. The truth is that we are blessed essentially to be a blessing to others.

When we open our hands to give to God, He opens His hand to give to us. And God has a bigger hand! When God gives back, it will manifest restoration in every area of our lives, including our health. Indeed giving is the mystery that provokes the release of divine blessings.
The giving covenant is not about the volume, but about the heart. It doesn’t matter your financial level, when you start giving from the little you have, you are creating room for more blessings to flow into your life.
You cannot get blessed more than your commitment to be a blessing.
When you live to give, God will ensure that every of your need is met in abundance.
As we minister to the needy, God delights in adding more years to us on the earth. Indeed our giving secures and insures our health against the attacks and assaults of evil forces.
Therefore. you can determine what your future will look like by the seeds you sow today. When you live a lifestyle of giving, certainly, you will enjoy a lifetime of blessings!

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to lay up treasures in Heaven rather than laying up treasures on earth. Please give me the heart of a giver in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING – • John 11:1-27; 2 Chronicles 10-11; Psalm 75

Robert Boyle is celebrated today as the father of modern Chemistry. He was a brilliant scientist who was well known for his Christian faith.
Born into a family of great wealth, his life changed definitely when he had a dramatic encounter when he was thirteen years old.

In 1640, while studying in Switzerland, Robert was suddenly awakened one night by loud claps of thunder.
He became terrified by the darkness, punctuated by staccato flashes of lightening and thunder. This scenario began to remind him of how fire would someday consume the world on the day of judgment. Trembling at the hideous thought of being unprepared to face that dreadful day, Robert solemnly resolved to begin living for God.
This experience marked the turning point in his life.
He grew up to become a great scientist whose Christian faith shaped the way he conducted his science.
Robert Boyle is best known today for publishing “Boyle’s Law,” the inverse relation between the pressure and volume of gases that is a standard part of a basic chemistry.
Also as a devoted student of the Bible, he produced books relating scientific and religious knowledge.
He actively supported foreign Christian missions and Bible translations.

While the world may recognize Boyle today as a major scientist, what matters most to Heaven is that he lived his life for Christ.
No matter what we accomplish on earth, our greatest achievement is how we scored on the Heavenly race.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 says we should run in such a way as to get the Heavenly prize. At the end of the day that is what matters most.
Life’s greatest question was asked by Jesus when He said “What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his soul”?
This question weighs heavily, because our soul is the most precious thing that we have. It is immortal.
Millions of years from now, for all eternity, our souls will still be alive. But the big question is, “where will we be?”
Only our decisions today will determine that destination.
It is foolish to put all our energy in the pursuit of earthly wealth that will last only a few years while ignoring pursuit of Heavenly treasures that will last forever..
It’s important that we re-evaluate our priorities. We can no longer afford to keep wasting time, running after frivolities and things that lack eternal value.
Rather we ought to be pressing forward, to the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The truth is that time is fast running out on earth. Eternity is counting. You may delay, but time won’t. The clock is always ticking, the hours are always silently going by, many times unnoticed.

What matters most now is our fervent pursuit of God and His purpose for our lives.
Certainly, as we first seek God and His kingdom, then everything else shall be added unto us.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to always make You the priority in my life. Please help me to maintain a lifestyle of spiritual fervency so that my life will continually bring glory to You in Jesus’ Name.

SEPTEMBER 24; PERSIST UNTIL YOU PREVAIL..

Mark 11:24 ‘Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.’

DAILY READING – – • Luke 16; Genesis 27:46-28:22; Psalm 21

George Mueller was an evangelist and great Christian leader of the 19th century. He is considered one of the greatest men of prayer and faith who ever lived.
While crossing the Atlantic in August 1877, their ship ran into a thick fog. George explained to the captain that he needed to be in Quebec by the following afternoon, but the Captain said that he had to slow the ship down for safety and Müller’s appointment would have to be missed.
However, Müller determined that nothing would hinder him from keeping the ministry appointment he had in Quebec. Knowing the power of prayer, he then went into the ship’s chart room to pray for the lifting of the fog. After the prayer, Muller was confident that his prayer had been answered. At that moment the captain came into the chart room and Müller asked him to go and check again and he would find that the fog was gone.
When the two men went back to the ship’s deck, they indeed found the fog had lifted, and Müller was able to keep his appointment. The ship’s captain, was so amazed by this miracle of answered prayers that he became a Christian shortly afterwards.

In the journey of life there will often be conditions like a “thick fog” that will try to delay your appointment with destiny.
You need to refuse such hindrances and keep pressing forward in the assignment God has called you to. It is true that sometimes life’s race can be marked with hurdles of challenges and discouragements, but prayer is the weapon that God has given us to break through such obstacles.
No matter how formidable ‘the fog’ that is trying to stop your progress, when you persist in prayers, God will clear every hindrance from your path.
God has given us the awesome power of prayer to crush the oppositions to our advancement and have it the way we want it.
Indeed you can have whatever you desire in accordance with God’s Word through the privilege of prayer.

Mark 11:24 says ‘Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.’

As we journey to the end of the year, the enemy would try everything to stop the fulfillment of the great prophecy of wonder spoken over us.
However, those who will arrive at this glorious destination of wonder are those who are willing to trust God and persevere against all odds.
Confronted by adversity, many people give up, but they that do know their God will be strong and do exploits.
Indeed we must remain strong and courageous as we fight a good warfare to see the speedy fulfillment of every prophetic word hanging over our lives.
Strength is demonstrated by the confidence, audacity and the courage to pray until adverse circumstances bow to God’s Word in your life.

Certainly, as we engage the power of prayer, study of God’s Word and praise, we will overcome every hindrance and arrive gloriously at our destination of wonders this year.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to always focus on the study of Your Word, consistent prayers and praising You always. By Your grace, I shall arrive at Your glorious destination for me this year in Jesus Name. .

SEPTEMBER 23; GOD IS IN CONTROL!

Proverbs 1:33 ‘whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.’

DAILY READING Luke 15; Genesis 27:1-45; Psalm 20

In the early 1960s, the United States and Soviet Union drew up a policy of mutual destruction. They agreed that if one nation used nuclear weapons against another, then the attacked nation would respond with overwhelming nuclear counterattack that would annihilate the other nation. This agreement is known as Mutually Assured Destruction [MAD].
“MAD” indeed is an appropriate acronym for this policy, because it meant that from that time, the world entered an era of madness, where it could be destroyed by nuclear weapons.
Worrisome about this policy is the fact that a nation does not have to wait to be sure it has been attacked before retaliating. Once its surveillance systems detect incoming missiles, it aims to quickly launch a retaliation before their own weapons can be destroyed.
This is worrisome because so far, there has been over 22 times when a nuclear retaliation was almost launched due to a mistake or mix-up.
One of such incidences occurred in 1980, when the US air defence command called the White House at 3:00am, with the information that their surveillance computers had discovered 200 missiles headed directly from the Soviet Union to the United States.
President Jimmy Carter was sleeping when the call came. His national security advisor who received the information, fortunately delayed for a few minutes before waking up the president. During this delay, new information came in from the US air defence command that it had been a false alarm due to computer malfunction.
If President Carter had been woken up immediately, he would have had about 5 minutes to take a decision that could have led to a nuclear war.
Alarmingly, it doesn’t matter whether a nuclear strike was initiated due to a mistake or a real threat, once it has been sent, it is irreversible and cannot be called back, leading to unimaginable consequences.
Indeed the ‘MAD’ policy has put the world in a precarious state.

The truth is that it is only the Lord’s mercies and His divine intervention that continues to keep humanity from the madness of self-destruction.
The Bible rightly predicted that the last days on earth would be perilous times. However as believers we don’t have to be afraid because God has a strategy to keep us safe even in the midst of the insecurities and difficulties.
God’s condition for our divine protection is for us to maintain a lifestyle of consistent prayers, study of God’s Word and praise.

Jesus said in Luke 21: 36 that we should pray always so that we can be accounted worthy to escape the evils coming upon the earth.

Also through listening to the Word of God and claiming His promises, we can abide secure and live in safety.
Proverbs 1:33 says ‘whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.’

Then as we express our confidence in God through praising Him at all times, His Presence will keep evil away from us..
Psalm 9:3 says ‘When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy Presence.’

Indeed as long as we are willing to accept spiritual responsibility, we don’t have to worry about the instability of the end-times.
Certainly, God is in control of the affairs on the earth and not a hair shall fall from our heads without His permission.
The Name of the Lord is our strong tower that we run into and are safe.
Therefore despite the uncertainties in the world, we are protected and destined to triumph always because our God is in perfect control!

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace, to pray always, study Your Word diligently and praise You at all times. Indeed I shall never be a victim in these end-times, rather I will keep triumphing always in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 22; TOTAL SECURITY IN THE BLOOD.

Hebrews 9:14 – ‘How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?’

DAILY READING; Luke 14:25-35; Genesis 26; Psalm 19

The total number of military and civilian deaths, in World War I was 20 million. The war lasted between July 1914 – November 1918. However just as the war was ending in 1918, a plague broke out.
The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe in recent history. It spread worldwide during 1918 to 1919. In that two year period, about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected. It eventually killed at least 50 million people worldwide.
It is interesting to note that while 20 million people died as a result of fighting physical enemies, 50 million were killed by an invisible virus. The virus killed more than double the number of people killed in the physical war.

Indeed humanity’s worst enemies are not visible, rather they are invisible enemies that cannot be seen with the naked eyes.
A man can amass great wealth and build a security fortress to protect himself from physical enemies, yet one little invisible virus can pass through all that formidable security and kill him.
But thank God, there is a security system set up in the human blood to fight the invisible enemy of diseases.
The immune system is the body’s fighting system that helps to protect it from outside invaders, such as bacteria and viruses. Indeed the immune system, which is in the blood, is essential for man’s survival in a world full of potentially dangerous diseases.

However, as believers, God has given us greater and ultimate security through the Blood of Jesus.
Despite the critical work of the human blood, it can sometimes be limited and overwhelmed by diseases. Even worse, there are sometimes spiritual afflictions which are scientifically invisible and cannot be treated medically. A man may be dying yet no medical diagnosis can detect the problem with him.

But, through the Blood of Jesus, God has given us the total solution to every affliction.
The Blood of Jesus is our spiritual fighting system. His Blood works to secure our health and protect us from every enemy.
When we drink the Blood of Jesus, through partaking of the communion, all physical and spiritual diseases in our bodies are flushed out by fire of the Holy Ghost. The Blood destroys every affliction, poison and demonic oppression anywhere in our system.
The communion is a divine mystery through which we are constantly purged, purified and kept in perfect health. Every time we partake of the communion, we introduce into our body the divine Blood of Christ which flows through us to locate and suffocate every invisible enemy.
Just like Jesus purged the temple, our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and His Blood comes into our body to flog out everything conducting buying and selling in our system.
Most importantly, the Blood of Jesus purges our conscience from dead works [Hebrews 9:14]. As we plead the Blood over our lives, it destroys every taste for sin, revives us from every spiritual deadness and ignites us to fervently serve God in spirit and in truth.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You that through the Blood of Jesus I have all-round divine immunity that guarantees my total security against every enemy. Thank you Lord for truly giving me total victory in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 21; WONDERS OF CONSECRATION…

Joshua 3:5 [NIV] “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

DAILY READING; Luke 14:1-24; Genesis 25; Psalm 18

Frances Ridley Havergal is the author of the beloved hymn “Take My Life and Let it Be”.
She was born to a pastor in England in 1836 and grew up to become a brilliant singer and piano-player. Though she had the opportunity of pursuing a glittering career in the world of entertainment, she considered all her talents to be loans from the Lord, to be used only in His service.
She would only sing Christian songs and mostly for the purpose of winning souls.
Frances Havergal’s beautiful consecration hymn “Take My Life and Let it Be”, was written out of her desire to see others revived and come to the Lord.

On February 1, 1874, she went to stay for a few days in a home where there were ten other people. While some of the people were unbelievers, she found that even the Christians among them were spiritually dry and unhappy.
Frances then decided to pray and intercede for every one of them to come to know Christ as joyfully as she did. Her prayer was granted, and revival swept through that house. The unbelievers came to Christ and the dry Christians became filled with the joy of the Lord.
Frances was so overjoyed that on the last night of her stay, she was too happy to sleep. And so she spent the night writing the hymn of consecration ‘Take My Life and let it be!”
This hymn eventually became very popular and through the years has drawn many men and women to consecrate their lives to Christ. Indeed Frances Havergal’s singular devotion to God, made her life to be very fruitful and a blessing to many generations.

If we want to be greatly used of God and see His wonders, then we must become consecrated to Him.

For 40 years the Israelites wandered in the wilderness. After Moses died, God called Joshua to lead the people into the promised land. However, before they could enter the new land, God asked them to consecrate themselves.
Joshua 3:5 [NIV] says “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

After the people consecrated themselves they indeed saw the wonders of God as He ushered them powerfully into the new land and established them in dominion over other nations.
Truly if we want to see God move us to higher levels and see His promises and wonders manifest, then we must first become consecrated to Him.
Consecration means to be set aside for the exclusive use of God. It means giving all our time, energy, resources, life and everything to God. Consecration is truly loving God with all our heart and total obeying His Word and depending on the Holy Spirit. It means living in purity and holiness and saying to God at every turn, ‘Not my will but Yours be done’
When we so dedicate ourselves to God, He will put His mark of approval upon us, and work signs and wonders through us.

Acts 2:22 says that Jesus was approved by God through the miracles, wonders, and signs God did through Him.

God’s signature of approval on those who have been set apart to serve Him are the signs and wonders that follow them.
In Numbers 17, when controversy broke out in Israel over whom God had chosen, God told Moses to pick a man from each of the twelve tribes and place their rods in the ark of the covenant overnight. The next day, among the other rods, Aaron’s rod ‘budded’, blossomed, and bore ripe almonds. This was the sign that God had chosen him as priest.

Indeed when we have been set apart and consecrated unto God, signs will follow us. Our rods will ‘bud’ indicating fruitfulness, growth and progress. Our lives will positively affect men and generations will be blessed through us.
Let us therefore today, make the choice to become fully consecrated to God, by becoming more committed to a life of fervent prayers, study of the Word, and fellowship with the Spirit. Certainly, as we do so, our lives will begin to manifest God’s glory, His miracles and wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to live a life fully consecrated to You. Please grant me the grace to continue to persevere in the place of prayers, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit until my life begins to indeed reflect Your glory in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 20; PRAY DOWN RAIN OF REVIVAL.

Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.’

DAILY READING; • Luke 13:18-35; Genesis 24; Psalm 17

“The circle maker” is a book by Mark Batterson. It is based on the historical record of a legendary Jewish Sage named Honi.
Between the Old Testament and New Testament, was a 400-year period when many of the old testament prophets had passed away. In the last century, before the birth of Jesus,, there remained an old Sage , Honi, who lived outside the walls of Jerusalem. He was a man of powerful prayer who knew God.
During this period came a devastating drought that threatened to destroy
Israel and its regions.
In desperation, the leaders and people went to Honi and asked for prayers to stop the drought.
According to the historical account Honi took his staff, and drew a circle in the sand. He stepped into this circle and dropped to his knees, and vowed that he would not move from the circle until God showed mercy, upon His children, by stopping the drought and bringing rain.
Amazingly, as the Sage called upon God, rain began to fall. The people shouted for joy at seeing rain, but suddenly, the voice of Honi rose again in prayer as he said to God “Not for such a rain have I prayed but for rain that will fill every valley, every cistern, every cavern, oh God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob”.
Suddenly, the sprinkle turned into a torrential downpour that forced the people to begin to run for shelter.
But once again, Honi lifted his voice in prayer “Not for such a rain have I prayed, but for the rain of your favor, blessing, and graciousness”.
And just like someone lowered the faucet, the torrential downpour turned into a beautiful rain that fell calmly, soaking the earth and ending the drought.
The legend of Honi, the “Circle Maker’, is still today taught in Jewish synagogues.
He is known as the man who refused to budge until God answered his prayers.
.
God delights to answer audacious prayers based on faith and confidence in His divine ability.
Such prayers release the supernatural power of God and reveals to us His great and mighty acts.

God says in Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.’

A person of prayer will indeed see great manifestations of power. However, it is only those who know their God that can do exploits.
When you spend quality time in the Word to know God intimately and build up your faith, you will be able to pray audacious prayers that move mountains.
Like Moses parted the Red Sea, like Elijah called down fire, like Joshua caused the sun to stand still, God can move the universe for our sakes, when we call upon Him in boldness and faith.

God says whatever we bind and loose on earth He will do same in Heaven.
No matter how impossible any situation, as we draw a circle around it and call upon God on earth, He will answer us from Heaven with mighty signs and wonders.

Today, it is time to pray with faith to bring an end to every spiritual drought in our lives. Enough of dryness, stagnancy, mediocrity etc
It is time to draw prayer circles and pray down the rain of favor, blessings, and revival!”.
As we begin to pray with persistence, refusing to budge, surely our answers will come.
As we call upon the Lord in faith, He will answer us with terrible things in righteousness and show us His great and mighty wonders.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to build my life upon the solid foundation of Your Word and prayer. Please help me to build up my faith enough to believe You for wonders and to pray down the miracles that I need in Jesus’ Name.
