Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.’

“The circle maker” is a book by Mark Batterson. It is based on the historical record of a legendary Jewish Sage named Honi.
Between the Old Testament and New Testament, was a 400-year period when many of the old testament prophets had passed away. In the last century, before the birth of Jesus,, there remained an old Sage , Honi, who lived outside the walls of Jerusalem. He was a man of powerful prayer who knew God.
During this period came a devastating drought that threatened to destroy
Israel and its regions.
In desperation, the leaders and people went to Honi and asked for prayers to stop the drought.
According to the historical account Honi took his staff, and drew a circle in the sand. He stepped into this circle and dropped to his knees, and vowed that he would not move from the circle until God showed mercy, upon His children, by stopping the drought and bringing rain.
Amazingly, as the Sage called upon God, rain began to fall. The people shouted for joy at seeing rain, but suddenly, the voice of Honi rose again in prayer as he said to God “Not for such a rain have I prayed but for rain that will fill every valley, every cistern, every cavern, oh God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob”.
Suddenly, the sprinkle turned into a torrential downpour that forced the people to begin to run for shelter.
But once again, Honi lifted his voice in prayer “Not for such a rain have I prayed, but for the rain of your favor, blessing, and graciousness”.
And just like someone lowered the faucet, the torrential downpour turned into a beautiful rain that fell calmly, soaking the earth and ending the drought.
The legend of Honi, the “Circle Maker’, is still today taught in Jewish synagogues.
He is known as the man who refused to budge until God answered his prayers.
.
God delights to answer audacious prayers based on faith and confidence in His divine ability.
Such prayers release the supernatural power of God and reveals to us His great and mighty acts.

God says in Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.’

A person of prayer will indeed see great manifestations of power. However, it is only those who know their God that can do exploits.
When you spend quality time in the Word to know God intimately and build up your faith, you will be able to pray audacious prayers that move mountains.
Like Moses parted the Red Sea, like Elijah called down fire, like Joshua caused the sun to stand still, God can move the universe for our sakes, when we call upon Him in boldness and faith.

God says whatever we bind and loose on earth He will do same in Heaven.
No matter how impossible any situation, as we draw a circle around it and call upon God on earth, He will answer us from Heaven with mighty signs and wonders.

Today, it is time to pray with faith to bring an end to every spiritual drought in our lives. Enough of dryness, stagnancy, mediocrity etc
It is time to draw prayer circles and pray down the rain of favor, blessings, and revival!”.
As we begin to pray with persistence, refusing to budge, surely our answers will come.
As we call upon the Lord in faith, He will answer us with terrible things in righteousness and show us His great and mighty wonders.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to build my life upon the solid foundation of Your Word and prayer. Please help me to build up my faith enough to believe You for wonders and to pray down the miracles that I need in Jesus’ Name.
