Isaiah 49:15-16 ‘Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;’

DAILY READING Matthew 22:23-46; Numbers 22:1-40; Song of Solomon 2:8-3:5

George Müller was a Prussian-born English evangelist and philanthropist. A man of faith and prayer, he established orphanages in Bristol and founded the Scriptural Knowledge Institution for Home and Abroad.
When in 1834 he felt led to start ‘The Scripture Knowledge Institute for Home and Abroad’, it was out of his desire to provide Bibles for people who could not afford them financially.
The first meeting drew a hundred enthusiastic supporters. But weeks later, no money had come in for buying the Bibles. George Mueller believed that God would supply the money in His own supernatural way.
One day, in his bedroom George knelt beside his bed and prayed, “God I believe you gave me the idea to start this organisation but I am not making any progress. If you want me to keep on with it, please send me twenty pounds to demonstrate this is your will. I’ll use the twenty pounds to buy Bibles to give away. Amen.”
That evening as the family sat down to eat their meal, there was a knock at the door. A woman from the church stood there. “I’m sorry to interrupt your meal but I had something on my mind and could get no rest. Here take this and God bless you. I fancied it going to buy Bibles for the poor.”
“Thank you” beamed George, “thank you a hundred times.” As George closed the door and went back to his meal, his wife asked “What was that George?” “An answer to my prayer” was his confident reply. Inside the envelope was exactly twenty pounds. He knew that God’s work done in God’s way will not lack God’s provision.

Sometimes we may worry about how we are going to get through certain situations, but we have to learn to trust in God’s divine provision. God is not limited in how He will provide. He can raise help for you from unexpected quarters. God can use even your enemies to favor you.

You see, God is a father; who truly loves us and cares for us more than we can ever care for ourselves. This is why Peter said ‘Cast all your anxiety upon Him for He cares for you.’ No matter how tough situations may look, trust that God is moving supernaturally in your favour and your expectation shall not be cut short.
Just as the ravens fed prophet Elijah, God can use unconventional ways and least expected people to meet your needs. The ravens did not come by chance, God commanded them to come to the prophet’s aid.

In the same way you don’t have to worry about how your provisions will come. God can command blessings for you from people you don’t even know will be used to bless you.

Jesus told His disciples to take no purse for your journey, because the provision will come as you pursue the vision.
You don’t have to have enough money before you strike out in doing what God has called you to do. . Faithful is He that called you who also will do it. What God has ordered He is able to pay for.
Psalm 78:18 records that the Israelites questioned if God could furnish a table in the wilderness. God proved He could by causing quails to fall around their camp all night long.
As we pursue God’s call, we have to trust that God will take care of us. Following God’s plan for our lives is what will bring provision, joy, peace and fulfillment. When we follow God’s plan for our lives, and sincerely seek God’s kingdom first, then every other thing shall indeed be added unto us.
God has your life well ordered in His hands. Therefore trust that, whatever is due you shall not be denied you. And though you went through fire and through water, God is about to bring you into a wealthy place. There is a shift taking place in your circumstances. Everything that has been a set-back and a hindrance is about to turn around for your good. Help will arise for you from the least expected quarters. In the place of frustration God is bringing forth joy and laughter. The LORD shall increase you more and more. God will cause doors of breakthrough to open up to you, crooked places shall be made straight and the hidden riches of secret places shall be given to you in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the good plans You have for my life. Indeed I know that even right now You are at work to perfect all that concerns me in Jesus Name. .

NOVEMBER 27; WORSHIP, RATHER THAN WORRY!

Philippians 4:6 KJV ‘be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God’.–

DAILY READING ; Matthew 22:1-22; Numbers 21; Song of Solomon 1:1-2:7

Robin Williams was an American actor and comedian, who is regarded as one of the best comedians of all time.
He enjoyed nearly all of the accomplishments that one could hope for in his field, tasted the richest successes and won most of the major awards
However, in the later years of his career, Williams faced daunting challenges, both professionally and personally. His film career had stalled, and his comeback sitcom, ‘The Crazy Ones’, was failing to find an audience.
Also he received a shocking diagnosis in May 2014, that he had Parkinson’s disease. This sad news stunned and overwhelmed Robin Williams.
Under the supervision of his doctor, Robin started taking different anti-psychotic medications, but each prescription only seemed to alleviate some symptoms while making others worse.
All these problems began to produce in him a sudden and prolonged spike in fear and anxiety, stress and insomnia, which worsened in severity to include memory loss, paranoia, and delusions. In 2013, those around him noted that he suffered from very severe depression.
On August 11, 2014, he was found suspended by a belt in a manner consistent with a self-inflicted hanging. He was also found having several self-inflicted wounds on his wrists and a small knife was found near his body, showing very clearly that it was a suicide. It appeared that the overwhelming anxiety he suffered from had finally pushed him over the edge.

Indeed anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness of this age. According to a recent report by the World Health Organization, anxiety disorders are on the increase globally. Especially as the economic situation worsens, fretting in the general population seems to be on the rise.
As believers, we must understand that God has our lives and destinies in His hands. This is why we never have to worry or give room to anxiety. We are not without help in this world, God is our ever present help at every time of need.

Philippians 4:6 says ‘be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God’.

Instead of worrying, we have to trust that God is in perfect control and learn to cast all our cares on Him. We look to Him in every situation knowing that He will definitely work things out for our good..
Indeed worry never solves any problem. Worry is like a rocking chair; requiring a lot of energy, and yet it gets you nowhere. To experience a divine turnaround, we must keep rejoicing in the Lord in the face of any challenge.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 says ‘Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places’

Indeed God is able to turn around any situation for us. As we continue to stand in faith and claim His promises, it is only a matter of time before we experience a supernatural change of story.
Faith is the connection to our miracle. The more we study the Word, the more we will receive revelation of God’s divine power and ability to deliver us. This is what makes us to trust in Him and not become anxious over any concern. Rather we will be full of praise, knowing that God is at work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Therefore today, never allow any situation to depress you or steal your joy. Instead, learn to turn your worry into worship. Rather than wasting energy in worrying, invest that energy in praise. Every time you’re tempted to worry, turn it around and thank God for His blessings. Certainly, the more you praise, the more you will be raised out of every pit.

PRAYER: Lord, please help to stop worrying about things I have no control over, I trust you are in control of my life, and I know that even right now you are working out everything for my good. in Jesus Name. .

NOVEMBER 26: ENGAGING THE WEAPON OF WORDS .

Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.. ’

DAILY READING – Matthew 21:28-46; Numbers 19-20; Ecclesiastes 11:9-12:14

In 1940, Hitler, came very close to winning World War 2.
His army had overrun Poland, occupied Norway and defeated and humiliated France, a major super power. It seemed only a matter of time before Hitler would dominate all of Europe. The Americans had not yet joined the war and
Great Britain stood alone in defying Hitler.
Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister chose to rather fight than surrender. It was a very dangerous decision because Britain did not have the weapons to stand against Germany’s military forces, which had already conquered most of Western Europe in less than two months.
Many people in Britain became demoralized, feeling it was only a matter of time, before Hitler also conquered their nation. Churchill was acutely aware Britain’s fate lay in his ability to rouse the despairing nation.
Churchill then began to apply the power of words to inspire and mobilize the British people. He gave a number of speeches aimed at building up the morale of the population and the armed forces.
Churchill became the world’s most important symbolic figure of resistance against Nazi Germany. Whenever he appeared in public, the crowds would raise their hands in the victory symbol. His courage in the face of Hitler’s tyranny soon began to inspire the British people.
In his most famous speech on 18 June 1940, when the Battle of Britain was about to begin, he told his people that upon this battle depended the survival of Christian civilization and their own survival.
Inspired by his speech the British air force was able to hold off Hitler’s attacks.
Having succeded to inspire his people to fight, Churchill then rallied other countries to form an alliance that would later defeat Hitler.
As America finally joined the war, soon came the end of Hitler’s third Reich. As he lost the war, Hitler committed suicide and Germany surrendered totally.
Though Hitler seemed to have had all the military weaponry to crush Britain, yet
Churchill applied the weapon of words to defeat him.
His heroic speeches helped to change the course of not only the British history but also world history.

Truly words are powerful. When Britain could easily have been defeated, Winston Churchill’s words spurred them to victory..
It’s indeed amazing what words can achieve.

Proverbs 18:4 says, “A person’s words can be life-giving water.””

Our words can impart life, inspire people and lift them up to experience victory.
On the other hand, destructive words can cause deep wounds, that can destroy someone’s morale and make them become defeated in life..
The tongue may be small but it controls great matters.
(James 3:4-6).

This is why it’s important to speak God’s blessing over our family and children.
Through speaking right words you can change the atmosphere in your home and break the chains holding your loved ones back.
It’s important to note that we can also encourage ourselves by speaking right words. Throughout the day, say things such as, “I have the favor of God. I am strong and healthy. I’m well able to do what I need to do.”

James 3:3–12, tells how our tongues can express great good or cause great harm. However the problem is not with the tongue but with the source, which is the heart, because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. What is in your heart is what will overflow and out flow through the tongue. Where the mind goes, the mouth follows! So if you can control what is in your heart you can also control what comes out of your mouth.

When the Word of God dominates our hearts, The Word also will dominate our mouths and our tongues. This is what causes us to speak right words that brings blessings and healing to people.
In every communication, we have a choice to become a blessing by
speaking kind, and encouraging words to uplift people.
Because words are seeds, the words we sow we will also eventually reap..

Today, as we chose to speak blessings and healings to others, certainly, God will also cause us to reap blessings and miracles and all round victory in all our endeavors..

PRAYER: Father I receive grace now to always speak right words. Help me to continually fill my heart with Your Word, to enable me to speak words of blessings and healings that will positively impact the lives of people in Jesus Name. .

NOVEMBER 25; DELIVERED BY GOD’S MERCY..

Lamentations 3:22 ‘It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.’

DAILY READING; Matthew 21:1-27; Numbers 17-18; Ecclesiastes 11:1-8

On the evening of March 1, 1950, an amazing miracle took place when an entire choir escaped a gas explosion in a Church building where they were scheduled for choir practice.
Members of the West Side Baptist Church located in Beatrice, Nebraska were known for their prompt attendance to rehearsals. For 30 years, the choir leader had always required members to be on time for Wednesday night practices that started at 7:20 p.m.
On the afternoon of that fateful day, their pastor, Rev. Walter Klempel had been at the church and before he left the building, he lit the coal furnace at about 5:30 p.m so as to get the place warm for the choir practice that night. However, after he left, it appeared that a broken pipe leaked gas into the Church which on reaching the lit furnace caused a massive explosion.
Around 7.20 pm, the town was rocked by the explosion that shattered house windows and caused a power outage. The blast was so intense that it destroyed the entire Church building.
People were alarmed knowing that 15 members of the choir were supposed to be at the Church at that particular time for their practice.
Miraculously, no one was in the Church building, because the Choir members had all been delayed for different reasons.
It was extremely rare for any member to be late for rehearsal, but on that particular night, they all had reasons for lateness. Their reasons ranged from oversleeping to inability to get their cars to start, or being delayed by their children etc.
The incident was so amazing that it captured several News Headlines. One choir member told the News media “Most often everyone was there on time. I can’t remember a time where anybody came late.”
Yet through divine intervention, they all escaped the deadly explosion. This incident was featured in an episode of “Unsolved Mysteries” that aired in 1990.

Indeed there are times God allows delays in order to deliver us from destructions.
He can allow obstructions in our schedules in a bid to stop us from being at the wrong places.
The Bible says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. (Psalm 37:23)
As we trust in Him, God knows how to lead us away from temptations and guide us to be at the right places.
Some of the seeming setbacks and disappointments we may encounter could actually be blessings in disguise.
While we may be worrying or getting frustrated over disruptions to our plan, in reality, it could be God’s way of orchestrating deliverance and working things out for our good. (Romans 8: 28)

As long as you love God and trust in Him, things are bound to work together for your good.
When we pay the price of prayers and diligent study of the Word to seek God and follow His guidance, He ensures we are delivered from traps and dangers.
As long as we walk by faith and acknowledge God in all our ways, He will surely direct our paths.
What was meant to be a disadvantage, God will turn it around to become an advantage. He will cause adversities, and closed doors to all work together for our deliverance.
This is why in every trial we count it all joy, because we trust that God is in perfect control of our lives and destiny.
No matter what has happened in your life, no matter the disappointments, keep thanking God for everything. Keep praising Him in every situation.
Though you may not see how initially, eventually, as you keep blessing God, every disappointment will turn around to become a blessing in the end
Where you were meant to stumble, God will cause you to soar. In the place of ashes, God will give you beauty, favor, health, increase and wonders without number.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your continual faithfulness in my life. I praise and bless You because even right now I know You are turning around every situation to my favor, and turning every mourning into dancing for me in Jesus Name.

NOVEMBER 24; IN CONSISTENCY LIES THE POWER

Mark 11:23 ‘For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.’

Gloria Copeland is wife of Kenneth Copeland and co-founder of the Kenneth Copeland Ministries. She is an author, and minister of the Gospel, who is known worldwide for teaching millions of people the principles of faith.
Gloria Copeland’s own journey of faith was ignited in 1967, through a word she heard from the Lord. At that time, she and her husband had gotten newly born again. While Kenneth was studying at Oral Roberts University, Gloria stayed at home with their two small children and spent time listening to tapes about faith by Kenneth E. Hagin. One day she was typing some notes she had written about the power of faith-filled words, when she heard the Spirit of the Lord say this to her:
‘In consistency lies the power.’
That one phrase changed her life!
It helped her realize that to move mountains she needed to speak words of faith with patient consistency—all the time, over time. That was what would bring results.
At that time, they had been plagued with poverty and debts. So she and Kenneth began to focus on speaking words of faith against the mountain of debt they were facing.
Miraculously within 11 months, the staggering debts that plagued their lives were completely paid off!
Also they needed a car at that time, so they did the same thing and began to release their faith in God’s promise to supply all their needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
As they talked with great confidence and kept praising God for their new car, few months later, they indeed got the car!
Over time, they learned to receive many miracles including healing and deliverance through consistently speaking words of faith. The more they spoke God’s Word, the more His blessing expanded in their lives until their ministry became a global ministry that is greatly blessing many lives today.

Indeed to see success and progress, we need to consistently proclaim God’s Word against contrary situations.
What becomes of us is largely determined by the words we speak.
Our tongues are powerful weapons for confronting everything contrary to God’s will for us
As we consistently speak against negative conditions, gradually those mountains will begin to move.
We must never get tired of making confessions of faith because truly ‘in consistency lies the power’.
To be victorious in life’s battles we must learn to rise up vehemently against anti-covenant situations such as stagnation, sickness, poverty etc. To confront them, we speak God’s Word to establish His will and blessings in our lives.
Essentially, spiritual warfare is a war of words.
We do not allow contrary situations to continue to exist without confronting them with God’s Word.
Perhaps you have been too silent, that is why that negative situation has lingered. But you cannot afford to keep quiet when the enemy is shooting arrows by day and by night against your progress.
To experience your miracle, feed on God’s Word until faith comes alive in your hearts and then arise and begin to declare what you believe.

The spirit of faith demands that we declare whatever we believe before we can receive. When we speak to the mountain, with faith in our hearts, it must surely move [Mark 11:23].
Christ has given us the power of faith in His Word to overcome the world. He died at the Cross and shed His Blood to ensure that afflictions never arise a second time in our lives.
Therefore, today, let us deliberately begin to engage the power in the Blood by speaking against every negative condition.
As the year draws to a close, let us also engage our tongues in offering worthy praise to God for His amazing faithfulness in our lives. Certainly, as we do, we shall see a manifestation of last minute miracles and speedy fulfillment of this year’s prophetic agenda of wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to always speak right. And as I release Your power through high praise, I thank You for the speedy release of miracles and the manifestations of Your prophetic agenda for me this year in Jesus Name.

NOVEMBER 23: GUIDED TO FREEDOM.

Psalm 119:130 ‘The entrance of Thy Words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple”

DAILY READING – Matthew 20:1-16; Numbers 13-14; Ecclesiastes 9:1-12

The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses established in the United States during the early 19th century. It was an escape route used by slaves to escape from the Southern states of America where slavery was legal to the Northern states where slavery was abolished.
Once they managed to escape from the plantation, these slaves would embark on a journey of hundreds of miles on foot.
Often their owners would immediately place advertisements in local newspapers, promising a reward to whoever captured them. And so these runaway slaves usually travelled at night to avoid the constant threat of being captured by local sheriffs, slave catchers or civilian lynch mobs.
As they travelled through the night, one of the best clues they used to find the Northern states was by following the North Star. The North Star which is also called Polaris, played a key role in helping them to find their way to freedom.
Unlike other stars, the North star never changed its position and it always pointed to the north.
These escaping slaves used a group of stars to help them identify the North Star. This group of stars was referred to as the ‘Drinking Gourd’, because in the sky, they looked like a cup that had a very long handle.
By finding the “drinking gourd” in the sky, the slaves could locate the North Star. And as they diligently followed the North star, night after night, they eventually escaped the slave states and arrived to freedom.

In the same way, we can always find spiritual freedom by following the light of God’s Word.
Jesus is the light of the world and as we follow Him we will escape every spiritual enslavement.
In John 8:12 Jesus says ‘I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life’

In the world today, we are contending with invisible forces who daily attempt to capture men and hold them in spiritual slavery.
In these end-times, humanity is facing unprecedented temptations and attempts to trap their souls especially through the internet and other channels.
At such a time, we must heed the light of God’s Word and follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit, to escape every evil plan to hold us in bondage.
The entrance of God’s Word into our hearts, gives us the light of spiritual discernment to avoid the traps of the enemy.
As we walk in the light of the Word, we will know which direction to follow at every crossroad of life.

God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and the light to our path.
No man-made plan can compare to the definite divine direction that comes from following the light of God’s Word.
In our health, families, relationships, finances, business and career, we will always experience success when we make God’s Word final authority and diligently abide by Scriptural instructions.
As we patiently follow the light of God’s Word, we will escape the traps, schemes and plots of the enemy.
Certainly, genuine encounters with God’s Word will establish us in victory in every situation of life because faith, the victory that overcomes the world, comes from hearing the Word.
Therefore, let us commit to continually filling our hearts with the Word until it floods our hearts with light. In addition to a lifestyle of addiction to God’s Word, we must also commit to a life of prayers, fasting and fervent worship.
As we do this, we will continually be guided by the Spirit of God and have no occasion to stumble in the darkness of these end-times.

PRAYER: Father please help me to always walk in Your light so that I can escape every temptations of these end-times and abide in the victory You have ordained for me in this season in Jesus Name.

Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-mart, was a man who had great passion for knowledge. Through a dedication to learning a small store he opened in 1962, was turned into a multi-billion business and became America’s largest retailer.
His great passion to learn new things and to keep improving his business was what led to his arrest in Brazil which made international headlines.
While on a visit to Brazil, he decided to go into a supermarket to learn how they operated. He went on his knees and began to measure the floor of the store. Actually he was measuring the length of the Aisle space of the Brazilian Superstores to understand how much space they left in between aisles.
Despite his riches, Sam Walton was always seeking to know more and learn every new aspects of the retailing Industry.
When the store’s security men found him on his knees measuring the floor, they called the police and he was arrested. They didn’t know that he was the richest man in America. He spent a night in the Brazilian jail and it took the intervention of his relatives in Brazil for him to be released.
Sam Walton’s dedication was not only to his business, but also to his service in God’s kingdom.
Sam Walton, who was a devout Christian and taught Sunday School for most of his adult life, was dedicated to the cause of God’s kingdom. He was a tither and great philanthropist who gave to many Christian causes.

To succeed in any endeavor we need a passion for knowledge. We must keep pressing forward and never get satisfied with the status quo.
In Phillipians 3:13 Apostel Paul stressed the need for us to keep pressing forward spiritually.
Indeed to succeed as Christians we need a passion to keep increasing in our knowledge of God’s Word.
Knowledge is the key to accessing our inheritance in Christ.

In Luke 11, Jesus rebuked the scribes and Pharisees, for taking away the key of knowledge.
And in Mathew 16:19, Jesus speaking to His disciples said ‘And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven.’
The kingdom of God is operated by the keys of knowledge. God has so much stored up for us. But access to Heavenly riches is only available for those who seek knowledge.
Knowledge of the Word is like a special key or code, that grants access to Heaven’s inestimable riches. The more you know, the more you can own. Indeed discovery leads to recovery.

2 Peter 1:3 says God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him.

It is through knowledge of God that we can gain access to all we need to live a glorious life. Everything is available. The question is; are we willing to pay the price of diligent search in God’s Word to find it?
Lack of knowledge can keep a man grounded when he ought to be flying.

It is therefore time to embark on serious search in Gods Word until our heart becomes flooded with the faith that we need for our miracles today.

PRAYER: Lord, Please enable me to take up the spiritual responsibility of diligently studying Your Word. As I study, please open my eyes to behold the wondrous things that You have stored up for me within Your Word in Jesus Name.

Deep in the bowels of an icy mountain on an island in Norway lies a resource of vital importance for the future of humankind. It’s not coal, oil or precious minerals, but seeds.
Millions of these tiny brown specks, from more than 930,000 varieties of food crops, are stored in the Global Seed Vault. This is essentially a huge safety deposit box, holding the world’s largest collection of agricultural biodiversity.
The Global Seed Vault has been dubbed the “doomsday” vault. It is believed to be a place that will preserve seeds for use in case of an apocalyptic event or a global catastrophe. It also helps preserve seeds against much smaller, localized destruction and threats facing gene banks all over the world.
It has samples of seed deposited from all over the world.
This seed vault aimed at preserving plant species from total extinction, has been dug deep in the permafrost of a remote mountain, which is located 620 miles from the North Pole.
This vault can store up to 4.5 million seed samples. It’s a backup to the world’s other 1,400 seed banks. The seeds kept there are preserved by the coldness of the North pole from corruption.
It is important to preserve these seeds because once they are corrupted and destroyed they become extinct and never to be seen again.

While physical seeds are corruptible, and have need for preservation, the incorruptible seed of the Word of God abides forever.
The seed of the Word is a seed which we never have to bother about its preservation, because it will never decay, disappear or grow extinct. While the unpreserved seeds of the world may be disappearing, the seed of the Word of God abides forever.
And most importantly when this seed of the Word is in us it also keeps us from corruption. The seed of the Word within us is a preserver of life and destiny. Just as The Word is incorruptible and indestructible when you are full of The Word you also become incorruptible and indestructible.
The incorruptible seed of the Word in you, keeps you from decaying, or descending into sin.

Psalm 119:11 says ‘Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.’

The seed of The Word of God inside of us keeps us from sin.

1 John 3:9 says ‘Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.’

Do you therefore want to overcome sinful habits, then begin to store up the Word of God in your heart. Every struggle with sin will come to an end when the incorruptible seed of God’s Word dominates your heart. When you are filled with the Word, you will find that you lose the desire for sin. New strength will enter into you. The divine incorruptible nature of Christ will swallow up your weak and carnal tendencies. Mortality will be swallowed up by immortality and you will find yourself living an incorruptible life of purity and holiness.

PRAYER: Lord, By Your word I am preserved from corruption. I shall never be contaminated by the evil in the world. By Your Word at work in me, I am more than a conqueror in Jesus Name. .. ..

The Trojan War is a famous war that was fought between the cities of Troy and Greece around the 13th century B.C, which lasted for ten years. In the traditional accounts of this war, the Trojans were experienced in protecting their city from invaders, they had a tall wall built around their entire city.
In battles, Trojan fighters would stand on top of this wall and shoot arrows down at their enemies. However the Greeks didn’t let this great wall stop them from trying to defeat the Trojans. Determined to win the war, the Greeks finally devised a plan.
One day, the Trojans looked out over their city wall, and saw the Greek ships sailing away. Apparently, the Greeks had given up after the long years of war. However they left behind a great beautiful wooden horse on wheels. When the Trojans saw this great piece of art, they dragged it into their city walls. They patted themselves on the back for having won the long war. They threw a big party, got drunk and afterwards went to sleep.
However the whole Greek army had not departed; they had only given a false impression to the Trojans. A small band of Greek soldiers had hidden inside the wooden horse. In the dead of the night, these hidden Greeks came out of the horse and opened the gates to their comrades. Greek soldiers finally able to penetrate the city, then attacked the unsuspecting Trojans and massacred them. This brought an end to the long war, with Greeks defeating the Trojans.

This strategy of the Greek, in winning the war is also a strategy often employed by the enemy in battles of the mind. The enemy often uses wrong thoughts lodged within a man’s mind to bring him down. This is why we must guard our heart with all diligence. Your mind is like a walled city. Its doors and gates are locked up, but if there are enemies within, it is only a matter of time before that city falls.

The enemy’s strategy is to find a way to bring in wrong thoughts into your mind. Once inside, from within these thoughts begin to fight your stance for holiness. And the enemy within is worse than the enemy without. The sin that brings men down often comes from the thoughts already lodged within their hearts.

In Matthew 23:26 Jesus said, ‘Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.’

Jesus is asking us to deal with what is within first. We have to get rid of anything that does not glorify God in our lives. We have to be careful of the kind of thoughts we allow to access our minds, because as a man thinks in his heart so is he.
Our thoughts define us. Our thoughts lead to the actions, we take. Once a thought takes root in your mind, it is only a matter of time, before it becomes your reality. So keep your mind always guarded by God’s Word, and give no room to the devil. If you give him an inch, he becomes the ruler. If you allow him a foothold in your mind, he builds a strong hold. So don’t even allow wrong thoughts in the first place. Don’t expose yourself to information or media that can negatively affect your mind. Thoughts are easy to get in, but often more difficult to get rid of.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says ‘For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;.’

We have to bring into captivity every wrong thought. We must take authority over it and command it to be flushed out of our minds in the Name of Jesus.
Also to have victory in the battle of the mind, we must commit to constant study of God’s Word. When the Word dominates our mind then we will be empowered to live the life of faith and victory that God has ordained for us.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to keep my mind constantly filled with Your Word. Through the light from Your Word certainly, there will be no hiding place for sin or darkness in my life. Thank You Lord for blessing me with a sound mind in Jesus Name.

NOVEMBER 19; TAKING THE LEAP OF FAITH.

Proverbs 3:5-6 ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.’

DAILY READING; Matthew 18:1-20; Numbers 5-6; Ecclesiastes 5

Joy Bishara was one of the Chibok school girls abducted on April 14, 2014.
She recently shared her story at the 2021 International Christian Concern’s press conference.
According to her, on that fateful night they were sleeping in the dormitory, when they were woken by gunshots.
As Joy Bishara and her friend were praying for God’s protection, a man dressed in army uniform came in and instructed them and the other girls to gather outside.
At first they thought the men were soldiers that had come to protect them. But the situation soon became clear when the ‘soldiers’ set the school buildings ablaze and ordered the girls into three large trucks, threatening to kill anyone who refused.
Realizing they were being abducted by terrorists, Joy and the other girls fearfully climbed into the vehicles. As the trucks started speeding away into the forest, Joy Bishara knew she may never return alive and so she made a deal with God.
She promised God that if He would allow her to see her family one more time, then she would follow Him for the rest of her life.
God answered her prayer. Five minutes later, one of the trucks developed a mechanical fault and the terrorists decided to fix it. As the vehicle malfunction kept the terrorists occupied, Joy said she heard a voice tell her to ‘jump’ from the truck. When she looked down at the great distance to the ground, she became afraid to make the move.
She knew that jumping from the truck was risky, because she could get killed, but then she realized that God was giving an opportunity to escape which may not come again.
So she jumped and fell on her stomach. Surprised that she survived the fall, she then got up and started running through the forest for the rest of the night until she came to a village where she received assistance from a farmer, who took her to safety.
Shortly after escaping from Boko Haram, Joy Bishara was relocated to the United States, where she continued schooling and has often been invited to speak at international gatherings about her experience.

Joy Bishara’s jump from the truck was a leap of faith that saved her life.
When we seek God’s face at critical times, He often gives us an instruction on what to do. But sometimes, the instruction can seem so absurd that we become afraid to act on it. But taking a leap of faith means promptly obeying whenever God tells us to ‘jump’.
It means blindly doing whatever God tells us whether it makes sense or not.
God’s instructions may seem unrealistic at the moment but obedience to it will always birth our miracles.
Sometimes divine instructions may not agree with our human reasoning, but obeying them is the key to our deliverance.
Obeying God will always enable us to escape the plans of the wicked.
Especially in this perilous times, as the enemy goes about looking for whom to devour, we will enjoy divine security when we walk in obedience to divine instructions.
The truth is that we are living in dangerous times, and we need God to continually guide our feet and direct our paths. We cannot afford to live or walk carelessly in this season. As we quickly obey divine promptings, God will go ahead of us and make every crooked path straight.
Our obedience of faith is what will compel divine interventions and manifestations.
Every act of obedience commits God’s integrity to perform.
Perhaps today, God has given you a specific instruction or shown you what to do from His Word. Whatever God tells you to do, obey promptly because that is the key to your breakthrough.
However, to be able to pick up divine signals we must become spiritually sensitive. A daily quiet time spent in studying the Word and praying, is one way of developing spiritual sensitivity to divine instructions. Let us therefore today, receive the grace for diligently spending time in God’s Presence.
As we trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding; and acknowledge Him in all our ways, surely, He will lead us out of every temptation and enable us to continually live in victory.

PRAYER: Father I thank You for granting me the grace to walk in total obedience to Your Word at all times. As I do, I thank You Lord for releasing Your manifold blessings in my life in this season in Jesus Name
