MARCH 19; IMPACTING OUR WORLD!

I Corinthians 9:16; “For though I preach the gospel I have nothing to glory, for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”’

DAILY READING; • • 1 Corinthians 8; 1 Kings 22; Amos 6

The year was 1930, and it was the year of the Naval Conference in London. King George was to address the opening session. Radio was in its infancy, but through this media the king’s message was to be carried around the world. Just before the king was to go on the air, Walter Vivian, a young engineer of the Columbia Broadcasting Company, discovered a broken wire in the transmitter. This was tragic! There was no time for repairs, and the world was waiting to hear the message of the king. The young engineer discovered what to do: He took a piece of broken wire in one hand, and a piece of broken wire in the other hand, and for fifteen minutes Walter Vivian took two hundred and fifty volts of electricity through his body that the king’s message might go through.

If that young engineer was willing to risk so much to ensure a human king’s message was transmitted, how much more willing ought we to be in transmitting the message of our divine king to a dying world.
As God’s people, we must become willing to sacrifice and do whatever is necessary to urgently transmit the message of our king to the world.
Let’s focus on what matters most in this end times, which is soul winning. Eternity is counting. Time is fast running out on earth. So let us do all we can to reach as many souls as possible, with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
It can be easy for us to become satisfied merely with our own salvation and membership in the church, while neglecting the dying world outside the church walls. But the many truths we take for granted is what many people are dying for lack of. How can we then be content to hoard the truth, while many die in ignorance.
The urgency to preach the gospel must fill us with holy zeal and a sense of urgency.
Apostle Paul said in I Corinthians 9:16, “For though I preach the gospel I have nothing to glory, for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”
Indeed necessity is laid upon us to proclaim liberty to the captives. It is a burden we each should take personally and channel our time, energy and resources towards its pursuit.
We can’t afford to continue to keep quiet.
Today, let us receive the grace to preach the word in season and out of season and proclaim our Kings message of redemption wherever we go.

PRAYER: Lord, I am available to be used to transmit Your message of redemption to my generation. I thank You for the grace to proclaim the good news of the Gospel wherever I go in Jesus Name,

MARCH 18; STAND FOR THE TRUTH!

John 18:37-38 “Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.”

DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 7:25-40; 1 Kings 21; Amos 5

For many centuries, superstitious practices were prevalent in Calabar in Eastern Nigeria.
The birth of twins was thought to be an evil sign and a curse. Natives feared that the father of one of the infants was an evil spirit, and that the mother had been guilty of a great sin. Unable to determine which twin was fathered by the evil spirit, the natives often abandoned both babies in the bush or the twin babies would be cruelly murdered, and their mother driven from her home to die in the jungle.
Also part of the evil superstitious practices was human sacrifices. Following the death of a village dignitary, his servants and retainers were killed to accompany him into the next world.
However, these practices began to change when Mary Slessor arrived to work as a missionary in Calabar.
When she arrived in 1876, Mary Slessor was assigned to Efik Land. Through preaching the Gospel of Christ, she gradually changed the people’s wrong perceptions. Mary was so passionate about reversing the obsolete custom concerning twins that she started adopting many abandoned babies that were left to die and took care of them at the Mission House.
The impact of Mary’s service to God and humanity, was immeasurable. Many years after her death in 1915, Mary’s legacy lives on. As a form of remembrance and acknowledgment of her great works, in 1997, Mary Slessor became the first woman to appear on a Scottish banknote.

Just as Mary Slessor saved numerous lives,
God has positioned each of us as agents of deliverance in our generation.
Especially in these last days, we are facing the kind of darkness no other generation has ever witnessed.
We are living in a time when perversions are quickly becoming the norm.
For instance, recently in the United States and other Western countries, there has been an explosion of transgender children.Thousands of families are now pursuing what is called gender-affirming care for these children, who are facing various challenges due to altering their original body form.
No doubt we are living in a world of increasing confusion. However, the negative state of the world is only an opportunity for our lights to shine brighter. This is when the light of Christ is needed the most.

In Genesis 1:3, God commanded light to shine when He saw the deplorable state of the earth. And today, as believers we have a responsibility to unleash God’s light as an answer to the encroaching gross darkness.
Wherever we may be, let us not hide our light, it is time to stand out and speak the truth of God’s Word.
Jesus told the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate “To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.” [John 18:37-38].
Likewise, we have been born again at such a time as this to bear witness to the truth in our generation.
Psalm 104:4 says God makes His ministers a flaming fire.
Our lights are meant to burn brightly wherever we go. God will bring people across our paths that need our light and Heaven will be counting on us to make the difference.
The entrance of God’s Word is what gives light. Therefore the more we fill our hearts with God’s Word, and maintain a fervent prayer life, the more we will shine in the world.
Just as when Moses came down from the place of fellowship with God and his face began to shine, as we spend time in God’s Presence, His Glory will rub off on us. And this manifestation of glory is what will attract men to the God we serve.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to represent You well on earth by being a positive influence in the world around me. May my light so shine before men that they may see my good works and continually glorify You in Jesus Name.

MARCH 17: A DIVINE STRATEGY THAT OPENS DOORS!

2 Chronicles 16:9 ‘The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.’

DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 7:1-24; 1 Kings 20; Amos 4:4-13

Welch Foods Inc. is one of the most successful global companies, particularly known for its grape juices, jams and jellies.
It was founded in 1869, by Charles Welch and his father Thomas Bramwell Welch who was a preacher and dentist in the 19th century.
As a young man Charles Welch had a great passion to serve God. Since he couldn’t go to serve in the mission fields he determined to make enough money to sow towards the spread of the Gospel.
Charles’ father Thomas Welch had begun a grape juice business but it eventually folded up.
Charles’ desire to prosper and give towards evangelism made him to kick-start his father’s dormant business. He took over the production and as he worked diligently, doors began to open and the business progressed greatly.
He soon began to make enough money to enable him fulfill his desire of financially supporting missions. The more he gave of his income to the Lord, the more the business prospered.
Charles Welch was a faithful tither, who gave hundreds of thousands of dollars towards the work of God’s Kingdom. His giving, helped to open doors of financial success that eventually established the Welch Grape Juice Company as an acclaimed global venture. Even today, the Welch family has continued the tradition of faithfully tithing their income and giving towards the spread of the Gospel.

A master key that opens any closed door is connection to Kingdom service and expansion.
Though his father’s business had closed down, as Charles Welch restarted it with the aim to financially support the Gospel, doors supernaturally began to open.
Truly, success is not accidental. It is the result of deliberately following God’s divine strategy.
We must understand that our experience in life is basically about our covenant positioning.
When our heart is fixed on kingdom expansion, God will put the needed resources in our hand.
When our heart pants after God, it certainly gets His attention.

2 Chronicles 16:9 says that ‘the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.’

God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. When we obey and serve Him, He ensures we prosper in life.
Job 36:11 says -” If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures”.
When we serve God, He blesses our bread and water and takes away sicknesses from us. (Ex. 23:25)
Indeed God delights in prospering those that favour His cause and focus on the building of His House.
In Haggai 1:4-11 God shut the heavens over the people because they had been unmindful of His house, while focusing rather on building their personal houses. However, when the people repented of their neglect of God’s House and began to build it, God once again opened the Heavens over them.
Destiny is essentially a race of responsibilities, and the utmost responsibility for us is to seek God and the promotion of His kingdom above all else. Our degree of commitment to seeking God first determines our ultimate height in the race of life.

PRAYER: Lord please grant me the grace to seek the expansion of Your kingdom like never before. As I make serving You my top priority, I thank You Lord, for opening the Heavens over me and showering me with blessings in Jesus Name. QUOTE :

MARCH 16; A DOOR NO MAN CAN SHUT!

Jeremiah 1:19 ‘And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.’

DAILY READING –1 Corinthians 6; 1 Kings 19; Amos 3:3-4:3

For many years, William Seymour prayed to be used by God to start a revival. He refused to be hindered by his physical limitations of being a one-eyed, uneducated black man who was the son of former slaves.
Seymour hungrily pursued after God until he had a divine encounter that ignited a revival in the city of Los Angeles in April 1906.
As the fire of revival spread through the city, many people flocked to 312 Azusa Street in downtown Los Angeles, to receive the Holy Ghost baptism and speak in other tongues.
This new spiritual movement drew much criticism from the media. In describing the speaking in tongues at the meetings, the Los Angeles Times ran a front-page story titled, “Weird Babel of Tongues.” The story reported of people “Breathing strange utterances, which it would seem no sane mortal could understand..’
The article insulted Seymour as “a one eyed, illiterate, Negro”
The fact that the Azusa Street congregation was multiracial, during a time of rampant segregation and discrimination in America further angered the media. Times magazine denounced them as “disgraceful intermingling of the races.”
But while the press bayed, Seymour prayed. He remained focused on his call.
Interestingly, the negative reports in the media became free advert for the revival as many hungry souls were drawn to experience the power of God.
The Azusa Street revival became an international movement that revolutionized Christianity in several ways and eventually led to a worldwide explosion in Pentecostalism.

For many years Apostle Paul had waited and prayed for a revival in the extremely pagan city of Ephesus. Then finally a great door for the Gospel opened up as previous resistance started to crumble and the Gospel message began to spread through the city.
While still in Ephesus Paul wrote his first letter to the Corinthian Church, he said concerning the revival that was beginning in Ephesus “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. [1 Corinthians 16:9].”
The word “great” is the Greek word mega, which always speaks of something that is huge or massive.
Indeed the revival that swept through the city was so massive that the church of Ephesus soon became the largest and most influential church in the first century.
But while celebrating this great open door, Paul also noted in his letter that there were adversaries just waiting for the opportunity to strike and stop the work!

The truth is that anytime we find ourselves standing before a great door of opportunity, there will be people with impure motives, waiting for an opportunity to stop our progress.
These people have a way of showing up whenever you are being blessed. That is why it is important to be discerning. They sometimes may act as if they are for you, while they secretly work against you. Others will openly criticize, gossip, speak ill of you or spread false rumours all in a bid to hinder your forward movement.
But be assured that whenever God opens a door before you, no man or devil has the capacity to shut it.
As long as God is for you, no adversary can prevail against you.
God told Jeremiah ‘And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.’ [Jeremiah 1:19]

To defeat the adversaries to our open doors, our primary concern should be in walking closely with God through maintaining a spiritually fervent lifestyle. As long as God is with us, certainly, no one can successfully be against us.

PRAYER: Lord, by the power of Your Spirit, let everything resisting my open doors be uprooted from my path. Please grant me the grace to take spiritual responsibility, so that I can be victorious against every adversary in Jesus Name.

MARCH 15; OUR ULTIMATE SYMBOL OF VICTORY!

Colossians 2:14-15 [NLT] ‘He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed[a] the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 5; 1 Kings 18; Amos 2:1-3:2

In 1945 an atheistic Communist government took over Poland and stripped Churches of their legal status and banned religious symbols from public places.
In 1983, the communist government issued an order that all crucifixes were to be removed from classroom walls, just as they had been banned in factories, hospitals, and other public institutions. This stirred waves of anger and resentment all across Poland. Many church leaders protested against this order and a Solidarity movement began to place crosses in schools.
Things came to a climax when the director of the Mietnow agricultural college, who was a communist, removed seven large crucifixes from lecture halls where they had hung since the school’s founding in the 1920’s.
Days later, a group of parents entered the school and hung more crosses. The administrator promptly had these crosses taken down as well.
The next day most of the school’s six hundred students staged a sit-in. When heavily armed riot police arrived, the students were forced into the streets. Then they marched, crucifixes held high, to a nearby church where they were joined by 2500 other students from nearby schools for a morning of prayer in support of the protest.
The pictures of these students holding crosses high above their heads flashed around the world. So did the words of the priest who delivered the message to the weeping congregation that morning saying “There is no Poland without the cross,”. This he said because for over 1,000 years, Poland had a history of Christianity.
Reactions from around the world eventually forced the government to retreat from the ban on crosses. Ultimately, the Communist regime was overthrown and Poland transited from a communist party rule to a democratic political system where religious freedom was allowed. In the end, the Cross prevailed.

Truly, there is no Christianity without the Cross.
The Cross is the centerpiece of our lives as believers.
After Christ’s resurrection, when the early Church began to proclaim the Gospel, the kerygma – “Christ Crucified” – was absolutely central to their message.
In the entire history of this universe, there is no event that has more significance than the Crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
The spiritual transaction at Calvary was Heaven’s costliest project on earth. It cost the life of the only begotten son of God. So much was invested in the Blood of Jesus shed at the Cross, to ensure our deliverance from all satanic assaults.
At the Cross, the sinless Son of God paid our debts, died our death and gave us eternal life, victory and dominion.
Colossians 2:15, [NLT] says ‘..he disarmed[a] the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.’
The Cross was hell’s greatest undoing. It was the devil’s ultimate mistake because if only he had known, he would not have crucified the King of glory.
The crucifixion of Christ released into the earth the greatest weapon against the devil and his agents, which is the Blood of Jesus.
Today, through the Blood we have the power to overcome every attack of the enemy in the form of sickness, financial troubles, relationship crisis, trials, temptations etc.
No matter where it may seem you have been cornered today, there is always a way out through the Blood.
Understanding the power of the Cross is our secret to a victorious Christian life. The Cross is a constant reminder that we are destined to triumph always.
It is the principal symbol of our victory, because it is where Jesus Christ shed His Blood, crushed the head of satan and restored our dominion.

PRAYER; Father, I thank You for sending Jesus to die for me, to enable me live in dominion and power. By Your grace I shall no longer live in defeat. Rather my life will begin to reflect the victory Christ won for me at the cross in Jesus Name.

MARCH 14; THE KEY OF GRATITUDE!

Habakkuk 3:17-19 ‘Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.’

DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 4; 1 Kings 17; Amos 1

By the early 1800s, cotton emerged as Southern America’s major cash crop and its leading export. It was referred to as ‘king cotton’ because of its economic and political importance.
However all that changed when calamity struck and most cotton plantation were wiped out by the boll weevil, a beetle ruinous for the cotton plant. The economic fallout was disastrous.
One of the places greatly affected was the town of Enterprise in Alabama. After the destruction of their main crop, Christians in the town of Enterprise met together and prayed, “We thank You, Lord, that you have blessed us for so many years with cotton. Now it’s gone, but we know You work all things together for good. So we trust You.”
Following their prayer meeting, the town of Enterprise decided to begin growing peanuts in the place of cotton, even though peanuts was a virtually unknown crop and there was no big market for it.
At that time, existed a black American agricultural scientist and inventor named George Washington Carver. He was a man of great faith and known to be one of America’s greatest thinkers.
One day while praying, George Washington Carver said God brought to his mind Genesis 1:29, and reminded him that He’d given mankind plants for their uses. Carver then asked God to show him uses for the peanut and as he went to his laboratory and began experimenting God showed him over three hundred products from the peanut!
As his discoveries of many uses of the peanut became known, suddenly there arose an unexpected, unprecedented demand for peanuts. Farmers in the town of Enterprise, Alabama made more money in a few months off peanuts than they normally made the whole year off cotton crops. Soon Alabama became the largest producer of peanuts in the country. What had been a disaster suddenly turned into a great blessing. What had been adversity became prosperity – all because instead of being bitter, the people of Enterprise, Alabama chose to glorify God in the midst of negative circumstances.

A heart of gratitude is our fastest escape out of every calamity. “’Gratitude’ comes from the same word as ‘freedom’, its root word is the Latin word ‘gratis’, which means ‘free’.
Therefore anytime a door closes against you, gratitude is your key to freedom. The choice to praise God in the midst of adversity will open new and greater doors for you.
Life is essentially a seedtime and harvest adventure and no one ever gets out of life more than he puts into it. When you sow the seed of praising God, you will reap a harvest of His miraculous interventions. .
Gratitude is a spiritual force that turns the tables in our favor. A grateful attitude will cause you to soar where you were meant to sink. When in adverse situations, we keep our praise up, then everything will eventually go up for us.
The positioning of the ‘nose’ of an aircraft is called its attitude. When it points down, the aircraft usually plunges downwards. But when it points upwards, then it usually rises.
When we maintain an attitude of gratitude and praise, we will be raised from every pit of life.
If you don’t understand this principle, you’ll often get discouraged by negative circumstances that pop up on your path. Oppositions are opportunities for miracles and a setback could be a set-up for greater open doors.
When we understand that God is in control, in every situation we keep giving Him thanks, trusting that He is working all things together for our good.
Everyone faces difficulties and obstacles at certain points, but the difference between winners and losers is their attitude.
As we remain grateful and praise-full, God will cause us to triumph over trials and cause the earth to yield her increase to us.

PRAYER
Lord, help me to be always full of gratitude, in spite of contrary situations. I know indeed that as I remain grateful and continue to praise You surely You shall fight my battles and open the door to greater blessings and opportunities for me in Jesus’ Name.

MARCH 13: MARCH FORWARD TO VICTORY!

Philippians 3:13-14 ‘..but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.’

DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 3, 1 Kings 16, Joel 3

Emmitt James Smith is one of America’s greatest football heroes.
However Emmitt’s success was as a result of his choice to ignore naysayers and keep marching forward by God’s grace despite the many odds stacked against him.
Emmit Smith was born in Pensacola, Florida. He
became a Christian at an early age. At the age of eight, he played his first organized football game on a team that was sponsored by the Salvation Army.
As he grew older, he dreamed of playing in the National Football League, but he was often discouraged by critics who said he didn’t have the size or the speed to be a professional football player. He was told he couldn’t even qualify for college football, talk less of making it to the National Football league.
But instead of becoming deterred by these criticisms, Emmitt rather used it as fuel and motivation to press forward, believing his destiny was only in God’s hands.
In 1987, despite the obstacles, Emmitt earned a scholarship to the University of Florida.
Holding on to God’s Word helped Emmitt to overcome the many challenges that lay ahead. Emmitt went on to eventually become a celebrated player, breaking a number of football records in the process. Finally he did achieve his dream and became the National Football League’s all-time leading rusher.
Today, Emmitt Smith continually thanks and praises God for his amazing success despite the odds against him. In a recent press conference he said “I owe Jesus everything I have and everything I am and every fiber of my being belongs to Him,”

Responsibility is said to be the mother of greatness.
The believers who succeed in life are those who accept the responsibility of maintaining steadfast faith in God’s Word, despite contrary circumstances.
Indeed when our heart is strong in God, no matter the challenges that may come our way, through Christ Jesus we will always overcome.
This is why setbacks or criticisms should never deter or stop your progress in life. Even in situations that does not seem to make sense, you must keep trusting in the Lord with all your heart.
As you keep pressing forward, it is only a matter of time before you see how each setback eventually plays into God’s master plan for your life.
Therefore whatever you may be confronted with today, be assured that through God, you can overcome. Remember that every time of challenge, is only a phase of life. It too shall pass. Life is in times and seasons. Therefore do not let temporary hurdles stop your long distance race. Keep your focus on God’s Word and keep pressing forward by His grace to His high calling in your life.
Despite the oppositions as you press forward with God’s help surely you will attain your goal.
God has great destinies for each of us, but we must pay the price of persistence and resilience, if we are to see the manifestations.
Certainly, the faithful God who called you will also perfect all that concerns you. Therefore in every situation, rather than fret or worry, choose to bless the Lord at all times and let His praise continually be on your lips. Through daily study of the Scriptures and fervent prayers, keep your faith strong. And as you keep pressing forward, it is only a matter of time before you experience greater open doors and speedy fulfilment of your dreams.

PRAYER: Father please enable me to keep pressing forward despite any challenge I may face. I thank You Lord for indeed doing exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine in Jesus Name.

MARCH 12; YOU ARE DESTINED FOR FRUITFULNESS!

Job 14:7-9 ‘ For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.’

DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 2; 1 Kings 15:1-32; Joel 2:12-32

In September 2020, a landmark harvest in southern Israel was celebrated by the global media.
This harvest was from a 2000 years old palm tree which produced a sample variety of palm dates, last tasted back in the times of Jesus.
In Biblical times, the Judean date palm had deep cultural meaning in the land of Israel. King David named his daughter Tamar, which is the Hebrew word for the plant.
For thousands of years, the date palm was a staple crop in the Kingdom of Judea. It was a source of food, shelter and shade. So valued was the tree that it became a recognized as a symbol of good fortune in Judea. It was the cure for a wide range of diseases including cancer, malaria and toothache. However, its value was also the source of its demise and eventual extinction. The tree so defined the local economy that it became a prime target when the Roman army attacked the Jews in AD 70.
They destroyed the date palms in an attempt to cripple the Jewish economy. By 500 AD, the once plentiful palm had completely disappeared from Judea and was almost driven to extinction.
But it was rediscovered in 1963, during an excavation in Israel, when archeologists unearthed a small stockpile of seeds in a clay jar dating back 2,000 years. Thinking that the seeds could not germinate after so long, the archaeologists abandoned them in a drawer at Tel Aviv’s Bar-Ilan University.
But then in 2005, a botanical researcher named Elaine Solowey decided to plant them and see if they would sprout. After eight weeks, a small green shoot emerged from one seed, producing a sapling no one had seen in centuries and becoming the oldest known tree seed to germinate. The plant was nicknamed “Methuselah,” after the longest-lived person in the Bible.
In September 2020, it produced its first harvest which was tasted by a handful of the scientists involved in the revival project and was celebrated globally as an agricultural wonder.

Though the enemy may sometimes try to destroy the seed of your vision or dream, it is never over as long as you remain connected to God. As long as you have Christ, there is hope for you.
Despite how long it had been dormant, the 2000 years old palm seeds still came alive after being planted and watered.
This validates what the Bible says in Job 14:7-9 ‘..Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant’
Spiritually water refers to the Word of God. Ephesians 5:26 says ‘That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word’.
An encounter with God’s Word will surely cause any dormant situation to come alive.
The Word of God can bring about new beginnings. There is no situation so dead that The Word of God cannot revive it.
In Ezekiel 37, in the valley of dry bones, the situation had looked utterly hopeless. But once the prophet began to release The Word of God, there was a shaking. At the coming of The Word of God, things began to move. Suddenly, those age old dry bones came alive and became a mighty army.
As a child of God you are destined to be ever fruitful. If for any reason you find yourself in a dry season, through connection to God’s Word, you can experience divine revival and restoration.
To see growth and progress, let us take up the responsibility of consciously studying God’s Word daily. Through faith derived from the Word, we shall surely experience our desired miracles of amazing open doors, restoration, revival and rejuvenation.

PRAYER: Lord, by the power from your Word let every dead situation in my life be revisited and revived, let the good seed You have planted within me come alive for manifestation in this season in Jesus Name.

MARCH 11; YOU SHALL NOT DIE, BUT LIVE!

Psalm 118:17-18 ‘I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD…’

DAILY READING • 1 Corinthians 1:18-31; 1 Kings 14; Joel 2:1-11

The survival story of Morgan Lake, after going through a dangerous car crash is nothing short of a miracle.
On Friday, July 19th 2013, 22 years old Morgan was driving in her2007 Chrysler Sebring on the way to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to visit family and friends. Traffic had come to a near standstill by the time she tried to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland.

Suddenly, she saw a tractor-trailer in her rearview mirror approaching from behind at a high rate of speed. She was alarmed as the huge 18-wheeler truck struck her car from the rear.
Morgan Lake’s car hit the barrier at the side of the bridge. The impact pushed her car back onto the road. However, Lake’s car was pushed by the tractor-trailer again. The second hit propelled Lake’s car upward 3½ feet to the top of the concrete wall.
The car straddled the wall for a while before finally tipping over and plunging 40 feet from the bridge down to the river below. As her car began to completely fill up with water, she felt herself beginning to drown. But in that moment of desperation she refused to accept the fact she was going to die but rather began to declare that she would live. As she cried out to God for deliverance, miraculous she was able to escape from the sinking car through the window, and swam to safety.
Morgan who is a Christian told the media that one of her family’s favorite scriptures is Numbers 14:17 (NIV), which says “Now may the Lord’s strength be displayed, just as you have declared.” Indeed as she declared she would not die, God’s strength was displayed to deliver her from the jaws of death.

Certainly our deliverance is on our mouth.
Anytime, it seems you are being pushed over the edge and the enemy tries to fill your mind with fear, learn to react with faith. No matter how bad things may look, refuse to give in or give up. Rather, be bold as a lion and declare your position as an overcome through Christ Jesus.
By faith, declare that your portion is long life, peace, prosperity, good health and progress. Always be reminded that because you are born of God, you are born to overcome.
Whatever you may face, as a child of God, you have the power of faith within you to overcome it. Whenever the enemy tries to push you over or push under the water, secure your deliverance by declaring the Word of God. Find scriptures to speak over your problem.
If the enemy brings thoughts such as “You’ll never get over this sickness,” Roar back, “I will live and not die, the number of my days God will fulfill.”
It doesn’t matter the kind of situation you may find yourself in, as long as you can keep declaring the Word of God and refuse to give in, your deliverance is sure.
God has programmed our tongues to release miracles. Therefore in the world of the spirit, you can’t afford to be silent. As you fill your heart with God’s Word and speak with faith, your miracle is sure.
In this season, if truly we expect to see greater open doors, then we must put our tongue to work by declaring what we desire.
Isaiah 44:26 says that God confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers.
Surely God will confirm our declarations in this season. Instead of complaining or speaking negative words, let’s keep declaring our victory.
It doesn’t matter how contrary things may look right now, surely it will all end in praise and God’s Name will be glorified in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to always speak words that magnify You. Truly, by the power in the Blood of Jesus, I shall live to declare Your works and overcome over every challenge in Jesus Name

MARCH 10; TURN YOUR WORRY INTO WORSHIP!

1 Peter 5:7 [AMP] ‘casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].’

DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 1:1-17; 1 Kings 12:32-13:34; Joel 1

Hajnal Ban is an Australian politician who became famous for going to extraordinary lengths to increase her height.
Hajnal Ban was born diminutive with a height of 5 feet.
While growing up she was often made fun of and in school, she was taunted and called names such as ‘midget’.
After she graduated and began working she became convinced that her short height was the sole reason why she wasn’t being taken seriously in the professional world.
Fearing that it would count against her progress in her legal and political career, she decided to cosmetically add more inches to her height.
In 2001, when Ban was 23 years old, she found a solution in an orthopedic clinic in Russia—albeit a painful one. According to an article in the Times of London, Russian doctors agreed to “break both her legs in four places and stretch them slowly for 1mm every day for nine months.”
In effect the doctors did not make her taller, the real work was done by her body which through the breaking of the bones, was coaxed to create new bone tissue, along with the nerves, blood vessels, ligaments, and soft tissues that surround it. The painful procedure which took almost a year to complete and cost $40,000, only added 3 inches to her height.

Worry and anxiety over gaining respect and approval in her career, made Hajnal Ban willing to take a very drastic action to increase her height.
We live in a word where people are worried and anxious about a lot of things.
Jesus says in Luke 12:25 ‘And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? ‘
The Greek noun for “cubit” refers to a form of measure that is equal to the length of the lower part of the arm and is estimated to be 18 inches.
Interestingly, 3 inches was all Hajnal Ban could gain after undergoing a painful, bone-breaking process.
God is the only One who can easily add cubits to our heights and increase us in every other area of life. Promotion comes from Him alone. When He opens a door before us, no man shut it.
It is therefore wise for us to trust Him to handle every issue of concern in our lives.

Psalm 37:5 (NLT) says ‘Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you”.

If you’re going to live in peace, it’s not going to happen by accident, you will have to deliberately choose to trust God and roll over your cares to Him.
Studies show that living stressed and worried can weaken a person’s immune system. You need your health and vitality intact to accomplish your great destiny. Therefore you don’t have the time to worry about people’s opinion or approval. God does not make mistakes and He has made you good for your situation. He has given you all that is needed to fulfill your assignment on earth. Therefore instead of worrying about what we cannot control, we should rather shift our energy to what we can create to positively impact our world. The energy you would have used in worrying, use that same energy to thank God for being in perfect control of your life. When you turn your worry into worship, certainly, God will turn your trials into triumphs.

PRAYER: Lord, please help to stop worrying about things I have no control over, I trust you are in control of my life. I thank You for causing me to always experience Your peace that passes all understanding at all times in Jesus Name .
