2 Chronicles 16:9 ‘The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.’
DAILY READING; 1 Corinthians 7:1-24; 1 Kings 20; Amos 4:4-13
Welch Foods Inc. is one of the most successful global companies, particularly known for its grape juices, jams and jellies.
It was founded in 1869, by Charles Welch and his father Thomas Bramwell Welch who was a preacher and dentist in the 19th century.
As a young man Charles Welch had a great passion to serve God. Since he couldn’t go to serve in the mission fields he determined to make enough money to sow towards the spread of the Gospel.
Charles’ father Thomas Welch had begun a grape juice business but it eventually folded up.
Charles’ desire to prosper and give towards evangelism made him to kick-start his father’s dormant business. He took over the production and as he worked diligently, doors began to open and the business progressed greatly.
He soon began to make enough money to enable him fulfill his desire of financially supporting missions. The more he gave of his income to the Lord, the more the business prospered.
Charles Welch was a faithful tither, who gave hundreds of thousands of dollars towards the work of God’s Kingdom. His giving, helped to open doors of financial success that eventually established the Welch Grape Juice Company as an acclaimed global venture. Even today, the Welch family has continued the tradition of faithfully tithing their income and giving towards the spread of the Gospel.
A master key that opens any closed door is connection to Kingdom service and expansion.
Though his father’s business had closed down, as Charles Welch restarted it with the aim to financially support the Gospel, doors supernaturally began to open.
Truly, success is not accidental. It is the result of deliberately following God’s divine strategy.
We must understand that our experience in life is basically about our covenant positioning.
When our heart is fixed on kingdom expansion, God will put the needed resources in our hand.
When our heart pants after God, it certainly gets His attention.
2 Chronicles 16:9 says that ‘the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.’
God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. When we obey and serve Him, He ensures we prosper in life.
Job 36:11 says -” If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures”.
When we serve God, He blesses our bread and water and takes away sicknesses from us. (Ex. 23:25)
Indeed God delights in prospering those that favour His cause and focus on the building of His House.
In Haggai 1:4-11 God shut the heavens over the people because they had been unmindful of His house, while focusing rather on building their personal houses. However, when the people repented of their neglect of God’s House and began to build it, God once again opened the Heavens over them.
Destiny is essentially a race of responsibilities, and the utmost responsibility for us is to seek God and the promotion of His kingdom above all else. Our degree of commitment to seeking God first determines our ultimate height in the race of life.
PRAYER: Lord please grant me the grace to seek the expansion of Your kingdom like never before. As I make serving You my top priority, I thank You Lord, for opening the Heavens over me and showering me with blessings in Jesus Name. QUOTE :
