JUNE 6; PRAISE IN THE STORM..

Psalm 34:1 -3 ‘I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together’.
DAILY READING; Revelation 5; Nehemiah 7:5-8:12; Psalm 100

During the second world war, a German warship sunk a ship carryng many people including more than 120 American missionaries and their families.
Among them was Mrs. Lillian Danielson and her six little children who were going to meet her missionary husband in Africa. Their ship named the Zamzam had set sail on 20th March 1941. Then after almost a month at sea, just about four days to reaching their destination, Lillian Danielson was divinely prompted to ensure her children all had lifejackets. When she realized that the available lifejackets were in poor condition, she carefully sewed, repaired them to fit her children.
By the next day, on April 17, 1941, at 6 a.m. there was high pitched screams as a German warship shelled their ship mistaking it for an enemy ship.
As their ship began to sink, the captain of the ship radioed for help and a rescue ship came. The passengers had to enter into lifeboats to take them to the rescue ship. Mrs. Lillian Danielson, with her six children, also boarded a lifeboat. But unknown to them the boat had been hit by German shells and as they all got in, the boat simply deflated and sunk under them.
They would all have sunk with the boat, if not for the lifejackets that she had gotten ready the day before! While afloat in the water, Mrs. Lillian Danielson led her children in singing songs of praise and adoration to Christ as they swum towards the rescue ship. On hearing their singing, all the other missionaries in their lifeboats also began singing as they moved toward the rescue ship. At that very time, a brilliant rainbow came up in the sky. This was to them a sign that God was in control and miraculously all the missionaries were rescued and eventually safely arrived at their destination. Their story is captured in the book, ‘Miracle At Sea.’

Storms of life can come suddenly and lightning can often strike out unexpectedly from a darkness that was once a clear blue sky. But there is no reason to fear, when you are a child of God. Understand that God knows the answer to the problem long before the problem arrived. If you are sensitive to the Spirit, He would have guided you and prepared you to weather whatever comes your way.
If we come to places of despair and desperation, where it seems we are about to sink, those are the times to switch to praise. Because we know our God never fails, He is our ever present help in every time of need and will always come through for us.
As a child of the King, victory is already yours. Just stay in praise and keep blessing the Lord at all times.
David said in Psalm 34:1 ‘I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.’
Continuous praise was David’s secret of continual victory. This was what made him as a teenager to kill a giant with a slingshot and a single pebble. Likewise today, as we stay committed to maintaining our joy and blessing the Lord at all times, certainly God will cause every goliath to fall before us and cause every storm to serve His divine purpose in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, I praise You despite any storms around me because I know You will always come through for me. Please enable me to diligently study Your Word so that I can stay strong in faith and keep giving You all the glory in Jesus Name

JUNE 5; DO NOT BE ANXIOUS, GOD IS AT WORK!

Philippians 4:6-7 ‘Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’

DAILY READING ; Revelation 4; Nehemiah 5:1-7:4; Psalm 99

James Hudson Taylor was a Baptist pioneer missionary to China. He was founder of the China Inland Mission and spent 54 years opening the door for the Gospel to spread in China. His ministry was responsible for bringing over 800 missionaries to the country who aided in converting thousands of the Chinese people.
Hudson Taylor always relied on God to meet his ministry’s needs.
At one time, Hudson was running a hospital in China where the treatment and drugs and feeding of in-patients were all free.
One day, the hospital’s funds were virtually used up and supplies ran low. Though anxiety and worries tried to assail Hudson’s mind, yet he kept praying and trusting God for a miracle.
Just before the food supply completely finished, a letter arrived contained a huge cheque. It was from a man in the United Kingdom, who felt divinely inspired to offer regular support for the work that Hudson was doing in China. Amazingly, the man had no idea of the current needs of the ministry and had sent the cheque five months earlier, but God so arranged for it to arrive at the very time when Hudson Taylor needed it the most. The amount of money in the cheque was more than enough to cover the hospital’s needs.
On receiving this cheque, Hudson Taylor was overwhelmed with gratitude and was in awe of God for His constant amazing miraculous provisions for his ministry.

When we consider the amazing goodness of God and how He often orchestrates miracles in our lives we cannot but be filled with awe and praise.
God is indeed mindful of us. During difficult times, as we call upon Him, He works behind the scenes to give us a supernatural turnaround.
Therefore, rather than be anxious over any issue, let us always praise God, trusting that He is working all things together for our good. Even when it looks as if the situation is not improving, keep praising God in spite of the happenings. As you praise God, He begins to orchestrate people and situations for the eventual manifestation of your miracle.
Often times, most of the things we worry about are things God has already taken care of in the spirit realm and it only needs praise to see their harvest and speedy manifestations.
Therefore as we wait in expectation for our miracle, we must deliberately refuse to be anxious but keep blessing the Lord at all times.
Anxiety and worrying robs people of the joys and blessings God wants them to experience in life.
Rather than be anxious over anything, let us keep our minds focused on God, through studying His Word and constantly express our faith in His divine abilities through praise.
A lifestyle of praise will guarantee the continual flow of miracles in our lives. Certainly, today, as we thank and praise God for His constant goodness and faithfulness, He will do unprecedented, inexplicable wonders in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always remain thankful and bless You at all times. Today, I praise You Lord for all Your faithfulness and for granting me speedy answers to my prayers in Jesus Name. ,

JUNE 4; BLESSING GOD AT ALL TIMES…

Psalm 34:1 ‘I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.’

DAILY READING; Revelation 3; Nehemiah 4; Psalm 98

Imagine the fear of a little boy being told by doctors that he would never walk again. Imagine the apprehension in his family as there was serious contemplation of amputating his legs, so that he would spend the rest of his life as an amputee.
While that may have inflicted despair on others, it generated inexplicable determination in an eight year boy who refuted the negative medical verdicts, and went forth to become a great Olympian medalist.
This is the story of Glenn Cunningham who is popularly known as the Iron Man of Kansas. He overcame great adversity and all odds, to become one of the greatest middle-distance runners of the 20th century.
When he was eight years old in 1917, Glenn Cunningham saw his world come crashing down as he nearly lost his legs after a fire accident in his hometown of Kansas. He saw his brother die as a result of that incident and when Cunningham was admitted to the hospital, doctors suggested amputation because the burns were severe and spread of infection was feared.
Yet through faith in God, Cunningham got miraculously healed and went on to create several world records in the 1930s. He represented USA at two Olympics and clinched a silver medal at the 1936 edition.
Today, Glenn Cunningham is regarded as one of History’s greatest athletes, whose story is an amazing testament of God’s faithfulness.

It doesn’t matter what life throws at you, what matters most is how you react to it. We can either choose to bounce back up and fight through the pain or we can choose to lie down in defeat and give up because of the pain. The worst failure of life is giving up on your possibilities without a try. Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. If challenges try to push down, get up and keep moving forward.
To succeed in life, you must be resilient.
The dictionary describes resilience as the power or ability to return to the original form, position, etc., after being bent, compressed, or stretched.
Despite the storms, those who trust in God will keep rising better and stronger!
Today, it doesn’t matter what you think you may have lost, when you thank God for what is left, He will surely multiply it beyond your wildest expectation.
A wise man said if you have lost anything God is the reason why you have not lost everything. So let’s thank God for what is available. When you thank God for His finger, He will unveil His arm for you. In everything we are to give thanks. Indeed when we trust God, we will thank Him in every situation because we know that He is certainly working out all things together for our good.

PRAYER: Father please help me to keep moving forward no matter what trials and temptations may come my way. May Your grace always be sufficient for me in Jesus Name.

JUNE 3; STRENGTHENED BY JOY!

Nehemiah 8:10 ‘For this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

DAILY READING; Revelation 2; Nehemiah 3; Psalm 97

Mountaineers who climb high mountains, and athletes who run long distances, are often very careful about their diet. This is because what they eat, can ultimately affect their performance.
For sportsmen and women who desire to be physically strong and successful in their career, the link between good nutrition and overall health is too important to be ignored.
Proper nutrition provides the necessary fuel for the body to perform and recover during physical activity. Consuming a balanced diet with adequate protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats can help support muscle growth and repair, maintain energy levels, and improve recovery time.
Neglecting proper nutrition can have negative effects on the body, such as decreased energy levels, impaired muscle recovery, and decreased progress towards fitness goals.
The food choices of sports men and women affect their health, strength and how much they can achieve in sporting competitions. Therefore good nutrition is indeed an important part of their being physically strong and rising to the top in their sporting career.

As believers, to achieve great exploits and fly high in life, we must be careful what we eat spiritually. Our primary source of spiritual strength comes from The Word of God. When we wait on The Lord in His Word our strength is renewed to mount up with wings as eagles. It is from The Word, that we receive the divine strength and ability to rise above obstacles and ascend to great heights in life.
Also feeding on the Word of God, imparts into our heart the joy of the Lord which is our strength to achieving victory.

Jeremiah 15:16 says ‘Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.’

Joy is the mystery behind rising above obstacles. As we remain connected to God’s presence where there is fullness of joy, we will never fall no matter how hard the wind blows.
Today, the world is currently passing through difficult times, with many nations facing economic recession, security concerns, social unrest etc.
While this current state of affairs can foster an atmosphere of despondency, as Christians we cannot allow anything to steal our joy because that is what gives us the victory. Despite adverse conditions, we are commanded to ‘rejoice in the Lord always.’ [Philippians 4:4-8].
Joy empowers us to become high flyers and rise to our high places. But depression can stop you from getting there because once the devil succeeds in stealing your joy, he has succeeded in stealing your strength.
So do not allow anything to hinder your joy, rather in everything keep giving thanks. In every situation, let us keep our hope in God who never fails. Certainly, our God is ever constant and reliable and is able to turnaround any condition and surpass all our expectations.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to remain joyful and keep praising You despite any situation, let nothing ever stop the continual flow of your praise from my mouth because You are too faithful to ever fail me in Jesus Name.

JUNE 2; GOD DOES WONDERS THROUGH PRAISE!

Exodus 15:11 “Who is like unto Thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?’

DAILY READING; Revelation 1; Nehemiah 1-2; Psalm 96

William Marrion Branham was a leader of the healing and charismatic revival that began in America in 1947. His ministry reached global audiences with campaigns held in major cities.
During a major crusade in the city of Portland, Oregon, in November 1947, Braham was preaching to a crowd of over 6000 people when suddenly from the back of the crowd came shouts of threats.
These shouts were coming from an insane man, who had recently escaped from a psychiatric institution. This man was huge and nearly seven foot tall.
As he ran towards the platform, about fifty preachers who were on the platform fled from him. But Braham stood still. As the man approached, Braham remained calm and held his peace. By now, the huge man, who looked like Goliath was standing just a few feet away and loudly threatening to kill the Preacher.
Following the instructions of the Spirit, Braham calmly commanded the man to fall and bow at his feet for challenging the Word of God.
As this huge man tried to charge at Braham, to carry out his threat of harming him, suddenly something stopped him. He threw up his arms, screamed, and fell across Branham’s feet, just as the preacher had commanded him to and remained there pinned down by the supernatural power of God, until the police later came and took him away.

Indeed it doesn’t matter the fierce roar and threat of any enemy, we must always understand that we serve the God who is the mighty Man in battle. He is El Shaddai, which means Almighty God, He who destroys over powers.
Anytime you face adversity, one of the best things you can do is to simply stay calm and hold your peace. When you’re in peace, you are in a position of power.
God will fight for you when you stay at rest. Rest doesn’t mean that you’re doing nothing, rather it means that you are trusting God, knowing that He is in perfect control of the situation.
Exodus 14:14 says ‘The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.’
Certainly, God’s desire for us is to be stable, consistent and not moved by circumstances. His will is that we trust in Him and be at rest no matter what happens.
When the Israelites were cornered by the red sea and were panicking, Moses told them in Exodus 14:13 ‘Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today:’
As Israel held their peace, they indeed saw God’s amazing deliverance. Afterwards they sang in Exodus 15:11 “Who is like unto Thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?’
Truly God is fearful in praises. Therefore rather than fret over any concern make the deliberate choice to hold your peace and praise God instead and watch Him take over your battles.
In this new month as we continue to declare God faithful and magnify Him above every situation in our lives and in our nation, surely, He will fight for us and give us resounding victory.

PRAYER:
Father, today I choose to remain joyful and enter into my rest, no matter any challenge I may face. I know that You are indeed able to fight all my battles and cause me to triumph always in Jesus Name.

JUNE 1; A SEASON OF JOY AND REJOICING!

Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭[TPT] “Paul and Silas, undaunted, prayed in the middle of the night and sang songs of praise to God, while all the other prisoners listened to their worship. Suddenly, a great earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. All at once every prison door flung open and the chains of all the prisoners came loose.”

DAILY READING; Jude 1; Ezra 9-10; Psalm 95

In 1972, relations between Uganda and Israel became sour. Although Israel had previously supplied Uganda with arms, in 1972 Israel refused to supply Uganda with jets for a war with its neighboring country of Tanzania.
Enraged by Israel’s decision, the notorious president of Uganda, Idi Amin, expelled Israeli military advisers in his country.
Amin became an outspoken critic of Israel and told the media of his plans for war against Israel, using paratroops, bombers and suicide squadrons.
Amin went further to ban Judaism in Uganda. A Jewish community in Uganda called the Abayudaya, suffered the brunt of Amin’s wrath. Idi Amin had their Synagogues filled with goats, prayer books were burnt and Saturday which was their Sabbath day was made a working day. Though this Jewish community suffered severe persecution from Idi Amin, they kept looking unto God for deliverance. As they continued in prayer, in 1979, on the eve of Passover, the Tanzania army invaded Uganda and toppled Idi Amin’s chaotic regime.
For the Jewish community in Uganda, it was a time of joy and celebration as they had witnessed another Exodus from the oppressive rule of pharaoh through God’s miraculous intervention.

For 430 years the Israelites were held in bondage by Pharaoh. But on the night of the Passover, through God’s mighty outstretched arm, the siege of captivity was finally broken and Israel was set free.
Today, the spirit of Pharaoh still operates in the world through forces of wickedness in high places that try to oppress God’s people and make life difficult and unbearable for them.
In Acts 16:25-26, Paul and Silas were held in captivity by these forces of oppression. But through the power of praise, they experienced God’s amazing miraculous deliverance.
Today, as we come into the first day of the sixth month of June, it is our season to engage the power of praise for our deliverance from every oppression.
Despite the worsening economic climate in the world, let us always remember that the covenant is stronger than the climate. As we keep our focus on God’s Word and continually praise Him, certainly He will cause the earth to yield its increase to us.
While others may complain that there is a casting down, we will keep declaring that there is a lifting up.
Surely God is the glory and lifter up of our heads. Despite the increasing gross darkness in the world, our paths are destined to keep shining brighter and brighter.
Certainly, in this new month of June, it our season to arise and shine for our light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon us.

PRAYER: Father I thank You for this brand new month. Please enable me not to fret over any situation, but rather to praise You always because surely You are fighting my battles and giving me the victory in Jesus Name.

MAY 31; DELIVERED BY THE BLOOD!.

Psalms 91:2-3 ‘I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.’

DAILY READING; • 3 John 1; Ezra 7-8; Psalm 94

Brian Welch was a founding member of the famous metal music band, Korn.
While their band was very successful and played to sold-out stadiums, behind the scenes, Brian’s life had eroded into a nightmare as he had become a slave to drugs. He was using drugs every day just to function and couldn’t get out of bed without it.
Brian knew no way out of his hell, so he emailed a trusted Christian friend with a cry for help. His friend replied with the Scripture “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 NIV). These words comforted Brian and he got a glimpse of hope.
On Sunday morning that same friend invited him to church. Desperate for help, with nothing to lose, Brian attended the Church service and heard the pastor share his own testimony of deliverance from a life of alcoholism and violence. Brian needed the same freedom that the pastor had.
At home that night, Brian sat down to do drugs as he always did. But this time was different as he prayed. “Jesus, if you’re real like that pastor said, you gotta take these drugs from me.. I want to stop!’
Jesus did show up and Brian Welch eventually overcame his battle with drug addiction and handed his life over to Christ.
In 2009, Brian published his award-winning book Washed in the Blood: ‘Lessons from My Time with Korn and My Journey to Christ.’

Such testimonies prove that there is no situation beyond God’s deliverance power.
It doesn’t matter how well, the enemy sets his trap of destruction, God has a way of escape for everyone who calls upon Him.
Certainly, God is our refuge whenever we face battles that seem too strong for us.

Psalms 91:2-3 says ‘I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.’

Having come to the end of this month of May, we can acknowledge that truly the Lord has been our fortress and refuge from the storms in our nations and in our individual lives.
By His grace we have escaped the snares of the fowler and by His mercies we have not been consumed.
We appreciate God for the power of deliverance in the Blood of Jesus that always enables us to emerge triumphant in every situation.
Today, always remember that no matter the difficulties, struggle, afflictions or oppressions the enemy tries to attack you with, by the Blood of Jesus you are destined for victory and glory.
As we draw the curtain on the month of May today, we have every cause to rejoice and bless the Lord who had not allowed us to see shame. He has empowered us to overcome the battles against us and by His grace we are stepping into even greater open doors in the months ahead of us.

PRAYER: Lord, Thank You for Your grace and mercies that continues to preserve me and my loved ones. I appreciate You for Your blessings in this month of May and I thank You for the greater things You are set to do for me in Jesus Name.

MAY 30; NO CLOSED CASE WITH GOD!

Jeremiah 32:27 ‘Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?’

DAILY READING; • 2 John 1; Ezra 5-6; Psalm 93

Duane Miller has been a pastor for over 48 years and has preached all over the world.
Duane Miller is someone who has experienced God’s miraculous healing power firsthand.
In 1990 while pastoring in Texas, Duane lost his voice from a flu virus that infiltrated the nerves of his vocal cords. Over the next 3 years Duane saw many physicians from all over the world and the general consensus was that there was virtually nothing medical science could do for him.
After stepping down from his pastorate, pastor Duane struggled with confusion about his situation but chose to maintain faith in God’s Word.
He remained full of burning desire to share God’s message of hope and redemption. One day in 1993 he was asked to fill in for a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church in Houston. As he was making the effort to share God’s Word something amazing happened! While he was attempting to read Psalm 103 Duane was miraculously healed and he began speaking fluently. The moment was caught on camera and the recording has been circulated around the world through various media platforms.
With his speech fully restored, Duane is now the Pastor of Pinnacle Church in Texas, and is the Executive Director of NuVoice Ministries. His story is detailed in his book, “Out of the Silence”.

In Jeremiah 32:27, God says ‘Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?’

Certainly, nothing is too hard for God. There is no situation He cannot reverse. What may seem impossible to men, is totally possible with God .

In Luke 8, the doctors gave up on the case of the woman with the issue of blood. She had spent all her money on doctors and yet she was not cured, but when she came to Jesus, her closed case was reopened and she immediately got her miracle. Her faith triggered the flow of virtue that ended her shame and reproach.
The truth is that everyone, even the most gifted and strongest of men, face challenges. However, no matter how tough the situation, we must always remember that Jesus, who remains the same yesterday, today and forever, is available to address that matter.
In every challenge, the one thing God requires from us is to have faith in His word. The Word of God is the real influencer and game changer in a man’s life
When our faith in God’s Word remains steadfast, anything is possible.
Anytime it seems you have come to the end of your own strength, don’t give up because it is not over yet! Rather, hold on to God’s Word and keep believing despite how negative things may outwardly seem.
Through faith in God’s Word, you can overcome every obstacle, you can climb over every mountain, and you can get out of every valley. From the living Word of God we can always draw the living force of faith that gives us the miracles we desire..
This is why we must never give up, in the face of any closed door. We can experience miracles of greater open doors as we exercise our faith, which is the victory that overcomes the world.

PRAYER Lord I thank You because You are able to handle whatever comes my way today. Please grant me fresh appetite for Your Word so that I can draw the faith to always overcome every challenge in Jesus Name.

MAY 29; GOD’S PLANS ARE ALWAYS BETTER!

Proverbs 19:21 ‘There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.’

DAILY READING • 1 John 5; Ezra 3-4; Psalm 92

Reverend Walter Vinson Grant was a renowned healing evangelist of the 20th century who was mightily used by God to manifest signs and wonders to his generation.
However, before he could come into such a powerful ministry, he had to make the difficult choice of placing God’s will above all else.
As a boy Grant used to follow his mother to prayer meetings but as he grew older, peer pressure negatively influenced him to become wild. He began drinking alcohol, stealing, and getting into fights. By nineteen years he had drunk so much cheap alcohol his stomach was in bad shape. One day, he knelt one and gave his heart to God. He started going to church and repented of his sins and soon became miraculously healed.
Grant went into business and prospered. He helped build several churches and Sunday Schools. But continually he felt the call of God to preach the Gospel. Though he initially struggled with the call, finally he came to the point that he was willing to give up everything to do what God was asking of him.
Thereafter he abandoned business and in 1945 he became ordained as an Assembly of God minister.
God used Reverend Walter Grant to ignite a great revival in his generation which continues to affect lives today.
At the end of his life, it became clear that God had done far more through him than he could ever have achieved for himself had he continued to pursue life on his own terms.

Indeed it pays to obey God. His plans are always better and far greater than what we could ever achieve on our own.
It is God’s plan for us as His redeemed to become pacesetters and trail blazers in the world. He has ordained us to be kings and priests to reign on the earth.
To achieve His purpose, God has lined up the circumstances that will bring us to this glorious destiny. In His plan, grace, favor, supernatural opportunities and divine connections are all lined up to help us arrive at our preordained place of glory.
However, frustration in life results if we leave God’s plan to follow our own paths. No matter how beautiful our own devices, it is only God’s plan that can stand the test of time.

Proverbs 19:21 says ‘There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.’

Indeed only that which the Lord does abides forever. And only the Lord’s doing can be marvelous in our eyes.
God’s plan for us surpasses whatever plans we may have for ourselves. As the Heavens are higher than the earth so are God’s thoughts higher than ours. But access to God’s glorious destiny for us only comes through our drawing closer to Him because no one has the capacity to execute divine plan except God Himself. As we walk in intimacy with Him, He will gradually reveal to us what we are to do per time.
Certainly, there can be no limitation to the man who solidly makes up his mind to follow God’s will. This is why we must never allow pursuit of worldly things, people or circumstances to cause us to deviate from God’s call upon our lives.
As we seek His counsel through consistent study of the Word, prayers and fellowship with the Spirit, it is only a matter of time before we fully experience the manifestation of His destiny of wonders for our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to obey you always, even when it seems difficult, may Your will, only be done in my life now and always. By Your grace I shall surely fulfill the glorious plans You have ordained for me in Jesus Name

MAY 28; DESTINED TO ALWAYS WIN!

1 Corinthians 15:57 ‘But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.’

DAILY READING – 1 John 4; Ezra 1-2; Psalm 91

Seattle Slew was one of history’s greatest racehorses. However, when he was born, he was a diminutive colt no one expected much from and he looked nothing like a champion. Seattle Slew was not considered attractive rather he was so awkward that people said he looked more like a mule, than a racehorse.
However, as he began to mature, he developed a graceful front-running style with a great acceleration that led him to win many horseraces. He just kept raising the bar with every record he broke and would go on to become the most complete thoroughbred the industry has seen. Though he was bought for a bargain price of $17,500, he would end up earning more than $75 million for its owner. Today, he is considered one of the greatest racehorses of all times.
However, his winning streak was not a surprise because he came from a bloodline of champions. He was born by a winning racehorse named ‘My Charmer’, who also descended from champions. And so, though physically at first, Seattle Slew did not look like a winner, but because he came from a bloodline of champions, the winning nature in him eventually manifested.

There may be times when you feel like you don’t have what it takes to make it in life, but always remember that you are born of God.
By the divine nature in you, you are not born to be defeated, to be a failure, a loser or be insignificant. You are born to always win.

1 John 5:4 says ‘For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.’

Because you are born of God, you are truly born to overcome the world. This means that no situation or circumstance can be beyond you because you carry the divine nature of the Almighty God.
Through Christ, we are connected to the bloodline of the heroes of faith who overcame great challenges and were victorious in battles. Hebrews 11 gives a list of these heroes, who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight and turned to flight the armies of the aliens.[Hebrews 11:33-38]
Coming from the bloodline of these heroes of faith indicate that there’s also victory, faith, power and dominion in us. Because we come from an ancestry of overcomers, winning is in our blood. However it is through constantly feeding our soul with the Word of God that we receive the divine strength to manifest our winning attributes.
By redemption, God has put in you everything you need to fulfill your destiny. You are fully loaded and completely equipped for the race that’s been designed for you.
However, it takes a lifestyle of feeding on God’s Word, fervent prayers and worship, to step into the anointing you need to do exploits..
Today, as we make a fresh commitment to continually feed on God’s Word, surely, the inherent winning nature within us will fully manifest to truly establish us as winners and champions in every endeavor.

PRAYER: Father I thank You that I have within me the Blood of Jesus who is the ultimate champion. Indeed through the blood of Jesus, I have victory, dominion and power and I am more than a conqueror over every challenge in Jesus Name.
