AUGUST 4; RUN WITH THE RIGHT FOCUS!

Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

DAILY READING • Galatians 5:16-26; Ezekiel 1; Psalm 148

Deion “Prime Time” Sanders, is a legendary Hall of Fame football star and an American Baseball hero.
Deion’s focus on sports in his early years saved him from ending up in a life of crime. His parents divorced when Deion was only two years old. Thereafter, Deion was raised by his mother, who was a cleaning woman, in a poor neighborhood in Florida . The street where he lived was mean and rough and there were many opportunities to slip into a life of crime and drugs.
When an older neighbor whom Deion admired was sent to jail for selling drugs, he warned Deion and his friends not to follow his dead-end example. While Deion listened, many of his other friends did not listen to this advice. Some of these friends could run as fast as him in sports when they were kids, but instead of pursuing a career in sports and working for their dreams, they chose a fast life of selling illegal drugs at street corners.
As a boy, Deion became active in sports to avoid the lure of the ever-present drug trade that ensnared many of his friends. He joined a youth league football team and in his high school, he was given the nickname “Prime Time” due to his outstanding sporting skills. He would go on to have a very successful career that led him to global fame and wealth. Later in his life, Deion had a dramatic encounter with Christ that led to his salvation. Today he is very outspoken about his faith and credits God for his success and giving him the right focus early in life.

Truly it takes God’s grace to win life’s race.
There are many temptations and pitfalls that can capture a person’s interest and derail their destiny. This is why it’s important to keep your eyes single on your mission and refuse to cut corners or do what other people are doing. God has a special purpose for your life, therefore you cannot afford to live like everyone else.
When professional runners are on the race track, they have their mind focused on one thing: the finish line.
In a fast-paced, demanding world, full of lures and temptations, we must keep focused on where God is taking us to.
As believers, we cannot afford to deviate from God’s call. It can be tempting to seek shortcuts and compromises; but it can all end in pain and disappointments.
The truth is that if you play today, you will pay tomorrow. while the wide and broadway may be seductive, it can lead to dead ends and destruction.
The strait and narrow way may seem hard initially, but it is the road that leads to life and blessings.
No matter how hard the journey, don’t sell out, don’t give up, keep focused on your goal.
Though your beginning may seem small and obscure, be assured that your later end shall be great and glorious.. Surely, God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Today, let us receive the grace to run our race without deviation, looking unto Jesus the Author and finisher of our faith.
As we walk in obedience to God’s Word, it is only a matter of time before we begin to experience amazing open doors and see the manifestation of His wonderful plans and purposes for our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to keep my focus on the race before me, and not be derailed by the distractions around me. Please help me to make Your plan and purpose always top priority in my life in Jesus Name.

AUGUST 3; ESCAPING HINDRANCES AND LIMITATIONS!

Matthew 19:26 ‘But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.’

DAILY READING –Galatians 5:1-15; Lamentations 5; Psalm 147

Semyon Rozenfeld was 18 years in 1941 when he was captured because he was Jewish and sent to the Sobibor death camp where Jews were being murdered in the holocaust. On arrival, Rosenfeld first escaped death in the gas chambers by claiming to have carpentry skills.
In the camp those who had any skill that would be useful to the Nazis were kept alive, while the rest were killed.
But a month later these skilled Jewish prisoners realized that once they outlived their usefulness, they would also be executed by the Germans, so they began to work on a plan of escape.
On 14 October 1943, the prisoners revolted and about 600 of them stampeded for the perimeter fences and many managed to flee into the forest around the camp. However, some of the prisoners refused to escape and stayed back because they were too afraid of the repercussions of being caught and thought the risk was too high.
The uprising became the largest escape from a prison camp of any kind in Europe during World War II and as a result of it, Sobibor was immediately closed. But before closing Sobibor, the German camp officials shot those Jewish prisoners who had stayed back out of fear.
But some of those escaped prisoners, such as Semion Rosenfeld eventually went on to live meaningful lives. Semion Rosenfeld lived on to the ripe age of 96, and received many awards during his lifetime before dying in June 2019 as the last known survivor of the uprising at the death camp at Sobibor.

It has been said that the biggest risk in life is not taking any risk at all. Living with fear stops people from taking bold steps to escape the barriers and limitations imposed on them. But when we live with faith, we become unstoppable because we know that with God all things are possible.
Sometimes, there are problems and situations that may appear inescapable.
But be assured that with God, you have what it takes to escape every barrier and limitation.
Perhaps in the past months you have tried to rise to greater heights, only to be confronted by complex challenges and as a result your mind has become conditioned to think, you can never achieve your goals this year.
But Mark 10:27 says ‘for with God all things are possible” Through faith in God, you can escape those reoccurring problems that have been dragging you back in your finances, health and relationships etc .
Don’t limit your thinking by what outward circumstances may look like right now. Don’t think your dreams can’t come true because of what looks like prison walls around you now. Remember that “we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Look into God’s Word and claim His promises that whatsoever you do shall prosper.
In Genesis 13:14-15 God told Abraham that as far as his eyes could see would be given to him.
Likewise today also, as far as your eyes can see in God’s Word will surely be given unto you.
As you continue to stand in faith and give all glory to God, you will overcome every barrier and step into greater realms of exploits.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for breaking every barrier and limitation in my life in this new month. By Your surpassing grace upon my life, I will continually be victorious in Jesus Name

AUGUST 2; INVITE GOD INTO YOUR BATTLE!

2 Chronicles 20:15 ‘Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”.

DAILY READING; • Galatians 4, Lamentations 3, Psalm 146.

In the 18th century there was a global conflict that involved most of the prominent European nations and was fought primarily in Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.
Before this war began, the nations of Europe had formed fairly stable alliances that created a balance of power. However, problems between the nations of England and France, unbalanced these alliances. After diplomatic relationship failed between England and France, these two countries decided to go to war. These war also extended to their
allies thereby making it to become a global conflict. At the beginning of the battles, Britain suffered several defeats By 1756 it seemed Britain was set to be totally crushed in the war. After so many defeats, most of its military men were low in morale and seemed about to quit the warfront..
At a point when it appeared Britain was overwhelmed and about to be invaded by the French army, the British government became desperate. Having come to their wit’s end, they needed a divine solution.
The king of Britain called the people to gather for a day of prayer and seeking God’s intervention.
On that day many people went to the Churches to call upon God to help them.
The result of this national prayer was that the tide of the war suddenly turned to favor Britain. What had looked like eminent humiliation for was turned into national rejoicing as they gradually gained upper hand in the war. Soon the British army drove back France and its allies and was able to recapture half of the territories that they had earlier lost in the battles.

Whenever it seems we are faced with formidable battles, we can reposition ourselves for victory by handing over the battles to God. This we do by setting aside time to seek God’s divine intervention.
Surely, the battles of life are not ours but the Lord’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15).
Certainly, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
When we fight through God’s help, our victory is certain.

In 1 Samuel 17:44-45 Goliath was threatening David with his great strength, mighty sword and spear. But David who understood spiritual warfare said to him ‘Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel…’

When David turned the battle over to God, God arose and defeated Goliath.
Likewise, we must learn to let God fight for us. Our wrestle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places, and it is only through God’s power that they can be defeated.
In our quest for greater open doors, we will sometimes face formidable situations that may seem greater than our capacity to handle.
We have to understand that to see victory we have to first deal with these situation spiritually.
When we engage the weapon of the Blood of Jesus, we are guaranteed to triumph always.
Surely by the Blood of the lamb and the Word of our testimony we shall overcome every adversary that tries to contest our open doors in this new month.
It is our season to experience divine “August” visitations.
God who inhabits the praises of His people, shall be visiting us to take us to our high places as we offer Him high praises.
As we invite God into our battles we shall certainly enjoy sweat-less triumphs and unending breakthroughs.

PRAYER: Lord, Thank You for the grace to always hand over my battles to you. In this new month, I thank You for empowering me and repositioning me for constant victory over every adversary in Jesus Name.

AUGUST 1; PRESSING FORWARD TO VICTORY.

1 Corinthians‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ (‭AMPC‬‬) “For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.”
‭‭
DAILY READING – Galatians 3:19-4:20; Lamentations 1-2; Psalm 145

David L. Steward is the author of ‘Doing Business by the Good Book”
I’m this book he shows how lessons from the Bible can lead to success in life.
These were the lessons David Steward applied in his own life to become one of the most successful business men in the world today.
After graduating from college, and working for other people, David had desired to start his own business. However, when he eventually set out on his own, he fell flat on his face and found himself millions of dollars in debt.
With the seemingly insurmountable challenge, David turned to the Lord for help. He prayed and also began sowing seeds despite his needs. God did indeed help him and things eventually turned around for him.
Through trusting God and engaging Biblical principles David Steward, rose from failure to success and his business. He founded Worldwide Technology, Inc., which is the largest African-American business in America today. David Steward’s
basic business philosophy is that making money to be your goal will lead to poverty, but focusing on using it to serve God and help humanity will lead to prosperity.

The lesson we can learn from David Stewards story is that no matter how great the odds, you can still press forward and win with the help of the Lord .
When God opens a door before you, it will often be contested by adversaries and adversities.
But when God is for you, nothing and no one can succeed in their attacks against you. When God partners with us, He strengthens us to overcome trials and oppositions.
As we come into the month of August today, we have come into a new season loaded with so much possibilities and promises. And through the Blood of Jesus we shall press forward to obtain all God has ordained for us in this new month.
As long as we diligently seek the Lord this month we shall surely prosper and enjoy resounding success.
( 2 Chronicles 26:5)

In English, the word ‘August’ is used to refer to someone having great importance and of the highest social class, marked by majestic dignity or grandeur.
In reference to this month, it is indeed a month that will confer majestic dignity on us, as we diligently seek the Lord.
Through the Blood of Jesus we receive strength to excell in every endeavor, overcome every resistance, and access the greater open doors awaiting us in this glorious new season.

PRAYER: Lord, Please grant me the grace to press in to all You have ordained for me in this unique new month. As I diligently seek You, I know I have the victory by the Blood in Jesus Name.

JULY 31; COMING OUT STRONGER AND BETTER.

Psalm 66:12 [NLT] ‘We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.

DAILY READING; Galatians 3:1-18; Jeremiah 51-52; Psalm 144

There’s a popular story about some Sea food companies who were having problems shipping codfish from the East Coast to the West coast. Each time they shipped them, by the time the fish reached the West Coast, they were spoiled.
The Sea food companies tried freezing them, but by the time the fish arrived, they were mushy.
They tried a dozen different things, but those methods failed. Finally an experienced fisherman suggested that they put a catfish in the tank of the codfish. He said this because the catfish is the natural enemy of the codfish. So the Sea food companies put a catfish in the tank with the codfish that they were shipping from east to west. When they opened the tank on the west coast, those codfish were alive and fresh. What happened was that codfish had spent all the time on the trip running from the catfish. This made them to be full of vigor, stimulated and alive.

Some of us may want an easy life of no enemies, no difficulties and no challenges, but the truth is that our strength grows through adversities.
Some of what looks today like your enemies maybe the catfish in your tank that is meant to keep you moving and making progress.
Without the resistance of water, a ship can’t float. Without the resistance of air, big boeing 747’s could not be able to fly.
Today, you may be facing a situation that seems to be wearing you down, but know that God has given you strength for that battle. He says you will never face something you can’t handle.
Though the storms will come and winds will blow, yet through it all we are destined to be more than conquerors.
Though we may go through fire and through water, certainly, God will bring us out into a wealthy place.
(Psalms 66:12).

Despite the tough times, you will come out better and stronger than you were before.
The key to surviving and thriving through the tough times is being rooted in God. Time spent blessing the Lord through prayer and worship—regardless of your circumstances—will make you become grounded in faith, ready to weather any storm.
Certainly, through Christ, we will keep flourishing even in the most difficult of times.
On this last day of the month of July, it is a good time to pause and thank God for making us winners through out this month. Certainly by the help of the Holy Spirit we have overcome the trials and troubles that tried to hinder our progress.
And as we look forward to the new month, surely we shall continue to triumph always and enjoy greater open doors wherever we go in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your abundant grace this month Please help me to daily receive strength and faith from Your Word to always overcome and keep thriving, flourishing and rising higher in Jesus Name.

JULY 30; FACE YOUR FRONT!

1 Corinthians 1: 24 says ‘Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.’

DAILY READING; • Galatians 2; Jeremiah 49-50; Psalm 143

In 2015, Pepsi organized a college track & field meet , featuring teams from the universities of Oregon, Kentucky and Washington.
A remarkable thing occurred during the 3000m race.
As the runners fiercely competed, the University of Oregon runner, Tanguy Pepiot took the lead, followed by the runner from the University of Washington, Meron Simon. As Tanguy neared the finish line, he had put more than 10 meters between him and Meron Simon. At this point, with only the straightaway remaining to the finish line, he became confident that he had already won the race.
Responding to the cheers from the crowd, he slowed down a bit, and began waving his arms in the air encouraging the crowd to cheer more. However as he did this what he did not realize was that Meron Simon was fast bearing down on him.
By the time Tanguy Pepiot saw that Meron was right behind him, it was too late. With only a meter left to the finish line, Meron put on a last burst of speed, zipped past the bewildered Tanguy and crossed the finish line first, winning the race.
It was an extremely close finish. According to the official time, Tanguy had lost by 0.10 seconds. He would have been the winner if only he had focused till the end and not given in to the distraction of the applauding crowd.

The greatest challenge that faces everyone running life’s race is distraction, especially from people on the sidelines who are going nowhere. Distraction is often the devil’s strategy to keep you from winning the race. While the enemy may not try to stop you from starting, he’ll work overtime to try to keep you from finishing well. Distractions are the side attractions he uses to keep your attention from your destination.
The surest way to be distracted in life’s race is to focus on other people’s voices or opinions.
Therefore, for where God is taking you to in this season, you don’t have time to notice who is applauding you or not.
To achieve our God-ordained goal, we must discipline ourselves to face our front and focus on our priorities. Especially in this season of greater open doors, we must beware of the distractions and temptations that often come at the point of breakthroughs. When a great and effectual door is about to open before you, there also comes many adversaries.
This is why we must never allow setbacks, oppositions or disappointments to stop us from our destination.
Especially in this season of supernatural open doors, and change of levels, in every situation, we must maintain our focus on God’s Word and follow the voice of the Spirit.
In the race of life we need to keep our eyes on the prize and not let down our guard to any distraction.
As we run our race, focusing on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, surely, we will achieve our goals and emerge the winner in every situation.

PRAYER: Lord, Please in all things help me to keep my focus on Your Word and the guidance of Your Spirit. I know indeed You are working out all things for my good, and causing me to triumph always in Jesus Name. .

JULY 29; CHOOSE THE PATH OF LIFE!

Deuteronomy 30:19 ‘I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.’

DAILY READING; – Galatians 1; Jeremiah 47-48; Psalm 142

Robert Borelli grew up in the heart of a neighborhood in Brooklyn New York. Robert’s neighborhood was tough and, was run by a mafia group known as Gambino crime family. They protected the neighborhood and were respected by everybody, including police officers.
Robert was drawn to the flashy and the criminal lifestyle of the mafia in their neighborhood.
Robert was especially influenced because his family had a hard time making ends meet. He told himself he wanted a better life of abundant money, cars and nice clothes offered by the mafia. He had the opportunity to become a part of the underworld, as he began running errands and selling illegal goods for these mafia men. By the time he was a young adult, he had begun working with the mafia and soon made an impression on influential members of the Gambino crime family.
Carrying out criminal assignments and his strong show of loyalty, secured him the trust of the Mafia and he began to rise to higher ranks. Soon he was on his way to Mafia stardom.
Robert was living a fast-paced life of partying, drugs, and excitement. But finally the law caught up with Robert and he was imprisoned for a long stint. Tired of the life he had been living, in his cell, he cried out to God.
Robert said ‘God, if you’re real, have somebody kill me or change me, because I can’t live with this pain anymore.’”
God honored his prayer and transformed him. Robert surrendered his life to Jesus as his Lord and Savior. And from then on, he never touched drugs or alcohol again.
Reformed by God, after his release from prison, Robert quit the mafia and began living a more productive and fulfilling life. His story is contained in the book, ‘The Witness’ which is a compelling account of his hard and fast life of an “up-and-coming star” within the Mafia ranks, until he was arrested by God.

Life is full of choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 tells us that set before us are choices of life and death, blessings and curses; we are then advised to choose life in order that we and our children may live.
While the broad way of following the glitters of the world may seem tempting, the strait and narrow way of following God’s Word is what leads to life and blessings.
People, who make the choice to pursue the lures and glitters of the world only end up realizing that it leads to suffering, pain, failures and frustrations.

In Genesis 13:10-11, when Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, and was as beautiful as the garden of Eden, he chose to go there. But unknown to him, the land was destined for death and destruction and Lot ended up losing all everything he had acquired and barely escaped with his life.
Truly, not all that glitters is gold, and not all open doors are from God.
This means we really need to be careful concerning the steps we take in the pursuit of a successful life. While we may be desirous of open doors, let us seek the blessings that come from God which makes rich and adds no sorrow to it.
We must always be conscious that we are in a warfare, with an enemy who is the most subtle of all the beasts and seeks for every opportunity to deceive, derail and destroy.
To enjoy life and peace, let us make the choice to walk closely with God and keep His commandments.
Today, as we wholly submit to the leadings of the Spirit, He will deliver us from the pitfalls on life’s pathway and guide us to amazing open doors and glorious new levels.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to choose the path of discipline and sacrifice, so as to avoid the pain of regret in destiny. Thank You for enabling me to always escape every trap of the enemy, as I press forward on this race of destiny in Jesus Name.

JULY 28; RUN WITH THE RIGHT FOCUS.

Psalms 90:12 ” So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

DAILY READING – – 2 Peter 3; Jeremiah 45-46; Psalm 141

Robert Boyle, was a 17th-century scientist who is known today as the founder of modern chemistry.
He was born to one of the wealthiest families in all of England. However, his father did not want him to grow up spoiled and so in his first four years of life, he was sent to live with a peasant family.
At age thirteen, Robert Boyle was sent to study in Switzerland, while there his life dramatically changed due to an encounter he had one stormy night. That night, Robert was so terrified by the loud claps of thunder that he began to think the end of the world had come and he was unprepared to face the day of Judgment. After that dreadful day, Robert solemnly resolved to surrender his life to God and begin to live for Him.
This experience became a turning point in his life.
Boyle grew up to become a great scientist whose remarkable faith was the driving force behind his achievements. His deep love for the Scriptures led him to write several important books relating scientific knowledge and the Christian faith.
He also promoted God’s Kingdom through his active support for foreign Christian missions and Bible translations.
Robert Boyle’s Christian faith shaped the way he conducted his work and he made such outstanding impact that today he is celebrated as the father of modern Chemistry.

While it took a terrifying thunderstorm to turn Boyle’s heart to God, we don’t have to wait for a life-altering event to awake us to the consciousness of eternity.
No matter what we accomplish on earth, our greatest achievement is how we scored in the race of eternity.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 says we should run in such a way as to get the Heavenly prize.
Our time on earth should be spent in living for God and doing all we can to promote His kingdom. At the end of the day that is what matters most.
It is foolish to put all our energy in the pursuit of earthly things that will last only a few years while ignoring pursuit of Heavenly treasures that will last forever.
We must understand that we are living in the last days, therefore there’s great need to run with the right focus of seeking God first and pursuing what He has called us to accomplish on earth.
The truth is that time is fast running out on earth. Eternity is counting. You may delay, but time won’t. The clock is always ticking, the hours are always silently going by, many times unnoticed.
We must remember that one day we will be called upon to give an account of our lives, therefore we need wisdom to maximize our days on earth..

Psalms 90:12 says: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

It is the Holy Spirit that imparts to us the wisdom to maximize our days. Therefore let us seek greater intimacy with Him through daily quiet time spent in studying the Word, praying and worshipping. As we commit to making God our topmost pursuit, surely there shall be a reward and our expectations shall not be cut short.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to live a life that pleases You always. Today,, by the help of the Holy Spirit I commit to making You and the affairs of Your kingdom my topmost priority in life in Jesus Name ..

JULY 27; TURNING ADVERSITY INTO ADVANTAGE!

1 Corinthians 1:27–31 ‘ but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,.’

DAILY READING; 2 Peter 2; Jeremiah 43-44; Psalm 140

At an altitude of 2,790 feet, Safed is Israel’s highest town and probably its coldest. Safed is important to the Jews because it was where one of their most amazing victories was recorded during the Independence War in 1948.
In that war, the Israeli forces were outnumbered and outgunned, by the heavily armed Arab troops who held the strategic high points of the city.
Since Israel grossly lacked weapons, Jewish scientists had resorted to producing homemade weapons to aid in the war. In late April 1948, they delivered an artillery piece which was a mortar canon, to the Jewish army. However this canon was found to be very ineffective, its most notable feature was the tremendous noise it produced.
This canon was nicknamed ‘little David’ since it was insignificant against the goliath of the greater Arab army.
On the night of 9th -10th May 1948, during a fierce battle, Jewish soldiers were quite frustrated by the poor performance and ineffectiveness of the canon. But as they contemplated defeat, what they did not know was that the noise of the canon had created fear in the Arab fighters who believed it was a new secret weapon of the Jews. A rumor quickly spread through the Arab ranks that the Jews had acquired an atom bomb. This rumour made the entire Arab community to flee that night. With their exit, Israeli soldiers then easily went in and took the city, without further battle.

In Joshua 24, the Israelites were up against seven nations that were bigger and stronger than them. These nations had more equipment and more training. The Israelites didn’t stand a chance against them. To get rid of these seven powerful nations God sent insects against them and they were driven out.
Insects may have seemed small and insignificant, but when driven by the wind of the Spirit, they became a mighty force that drove out seven nations. Certainly, God knows how to use the weak things to confound the wise.
In 2 kings 7, God amplified the footsteps of the four lepers such that the Syrian army became afraid. 2 Kings 7:6-7 says ‘For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host:’ and because of the noise they heard, the Syrian army arose and left their tents, and fled for their lives.
Certainly, God can use what is considered insignificant and ineffective to accomplish great victories for us.
Just as Jesus blessed God and five loaves and two fishes fed multitudes, as we praise God for the little that we have, surely, He will multiply it to accomplish great things and turn adversities into greater advantages for us.

PRAYER; Lord, please help me to always maintain my joy and praise You in every circumstance for certainly I know You are divinely turning around every disadvantage to my advantage today in Jesus Name.

JULY 26; OUR SOUL HAS ESCAPED!

Psalm 124:7-8 ‘Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth..’

DAILY READING; – 2 Peter 1; Jeremiah 41-42; Psalm 139

In the days of slavery in America, black people who arrived from Africa to America faced a life of such cruelty that many were desperate to escape by all means.
A black man named Henry Brown later became famous for crafting a brilliant plan of escape.
After his wife and children were sold and shipped away to another state in 1848, Henry Brown resolved to escape slavery by any means necessary. With the help of some friends, he hatched a desperate plan to ship himself from Richmond to Philadelphia in a wooden crate. On March 23, 1849, Brown wedged himself into a three-by-two-foot box labeled “dry goods” and settled in for a long journey via wagon, steamboat and railroad to the home of abolitionist James Miller McKim, who was helping slaves to escape to states where slavery had been outlawed.
Henry Brown only had a few biscuits and some water as supplies, and during one leg of the trip, his crate was placed upside down on the deck of a steamship. Brown was left sitting on his head for 90 minutes, his eyes “swelling as if they would burst from their sockets.” He nearly passed out before two unsuspecting passengers flipped the box over to use it as a seat.
Brown arrived safely in Philadelphia after 27 grueling hours inside the cramped confines of the box. His incredible story made him a minor celebrity and his brilliance was applauded by many.

It has been said that desperation is the mother of invention. When a man is desperate enough he can devise ways to break free from any bondage.
Likewise, when it comes to gaining spiritual freedom, we need to exercise desperation and do all that is necessary to break free from anything that tries to keep us in spiritual slavery.
We are living in the last days, when the enemy is working overtime to keep people enslaved through diverse bondages such as adultery, lusts, addictions, greed, etc.
Anyone who obeys these lures of sin becomes a slave to them.
Romans 6:15-16 says ‘ You are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?’

As a blood-bought covenant child of the living God, you have been redeemed to live in freedom and dominion, therefore do not give room to the devil in any area of your life. It is dangerous to do so because sin is a sinker that quickly destroys destinies.
If you find yourself struggling with any bondage, you must act quickly to free yourself and refuse to keep tolerating whatever is watering down your Christian testimony.
Life is essentially a warfare and the violent take it by force. Through engaging the weapon of the Blood of Jesus, we can secure total freedom from every spiritual slavery.
Knowledge of God’s Word is the key to freedom. When you gain in-depth knowledge of God’s Word, you will know the truth that sets free.
Certainly, today, by the power in the Blood of Jesus, our soul has escaped as a bird out of every snare of the fowler; the snare is broken, and we are escaped, truly our help is in the Name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth [Psalm 124:7-8].

PRAYER: Lord, Today I invoke the speaking of the Blood of Jesus against everything fighting my destiny. I declare that by the mystery of the Blood I have broken free from every captivity, to live in dominion and victory in Jesus Name.
