Marcus Luttrell was a Navy SEAL and sniper. He became known worldwide as the “Lone Survivor” due to his amazing survival of a deadly battle in the mountains of Afghanistan.
In 2005, Marcus and three other American soldiers were sent out to scout a Taliban terrorist leader living in an Afghan village. After locating the compound where the terrorist was suspected to be, they hid themselves, in the surrounding bushes waiting for an opportunity to capture him. But they were discovered by some villagers who went and informed the Taliban.
A great number of the Taliban fighters came after them and a huge gun battle broke out. The other three members of his team were killed but Marcus managed to escape. Despite being shot and wounded, Marcus kept running with the Taliban army in hot pursuit. He kept praying to God for divine protection and deliverance. God showed up and Marcus was able to escape the clutches of the Taliban and eventually returned back to the US military base in Afghanistan.
In a 2007 interview with CBN News, Marcus said that he talked to God while in battle and prayed that he would survive. God indeed answered his prayers.
His story is captured in the bestselling book ‘Lone Survivor’, which was made into a hit movie of the same title.
Having retired from the military, today, Marcus goes about telling people about Jesus and the story of God’s amazing deliverance..

Psalm 18:6 says ‘In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.’

God, indeed does answer the cry of those who call upon Him in distress..
Each time the enemy tries to get you into a fix, when he thinks he has locked all doors of escape, always remember that you serve the God that rules over the affairs of men.
God is able to move mountains, cause walls to fall, perform miracles and wonders, to bring you out of every tight spot.
For some of us, this has been our story this year. God has showed up in unexpected ways to deliver us from battles that seemed too strong for us.
Just when it seemed to be game over, the Blood of Jesus arose and spoke ‘Passover’ to that trouble.
Indeed through the power in the Blood we have been redeemed from every trap of death, hell and the grave.

If perhaps, you are still faced with any impossible battle today, be assured that there is deliverance for you through the Blood. Never give in to fear, rather fill your heart with faith through study of the Word and keep praising God in the face of the raging storm.
As long as you keep looking to Jesus, the red sea will never swallow you. The storm will not stop you and the billows will not blow you away. No matter who or what gathers against you, God will cause them to fall for your sake.
Even when it seems you have been thrown into the fire, still know that God can show up as the fourth man in the fire to rescue you.
Keep trusting in Him and do not be moved by what you see. Be moved only by what God’s Word has said. As long as you can stay in faith, anything and everything is possible.
In every temptation, God will surely make a way of escape for you. He will deliver you from every financial trouble, sickness, relationship crisis and all form of trials.
No matter how tough that battle, Jesus is greater than it. And as you run into the stronghold of the Blood, you will surely be delivered.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your Blood that is able to deliver me from any tight and tough situation today. Thank You Lord for always hearing me when I call and answering me speedily in Jesus Name.
