Daniel 2:21 ‘And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:’

DAILY READING; Luke 23:1-25; Genesis 41; Psalm 32

One of the single bloodiest battles in America’s history was fought during World War 2. It is known as the battle of the Bulge. In this battle, a surprise attack by the Germans caused a section of the American army to be trapped and besieged at Bastogne in Belgium.
General George Smith Patton, who commanded the U.S Third Army was given the responsibility of rescuing over 12,000 trapped soldiers. However, as he worked to rescue them, he found himself fighting not only the Germans, but also against bad weather.

The weather was the most serious threat. Patton only needed a 24 hour window of decent weather conditions, but his rescue efforts became delayed by a month of unrelentingly horrid weather.
The bad weather affected weapons, aircraft, and the movement of troops.
Though Patton could not control the weather, he believed that God could work a miracle. He then gave the Army chaplain Colonel James O’Neill an assignment to organize prayers for a fair weather.
O’Neill distributed wallet sized prayer cards which the military men began praying with.

Surprisingly as these soldiers began to pray, things miraculously changed. The weather quickly cleared, enabling General George Patton to rescue the trapped men.

The Bible makes it clear that God changes times and seasons (Daniel 2:21).
Just like this army prayed for a change of weather, our prayers can bring an end to a negative season and usher in a positive one.

We often face different seasons in our health, finances, relationships etc. If you don’t like what you see around you, speak what should be.
Fervent prayer is a powerful and effective way to spiritually change your weather.

James 5:14-18 says that Elijah prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain and the earth yielded its harvest.

Likewise we can enforce a change of season around us through prayer.
God has promised that whatsoever we desire when we pray we will receive.

If you are facing a stormy weather in your health, finances, family, business or any endeavor, you can change the situation through prayer.

The truth is that Heaven acts in response to the prayers on earth. The prayer altar is the labor room and the spiritual control room of life. It is where things are handled and orchestrated. Those who travail in prayers are those who will prevail in life.
Prayer becomes more effective when we pray with God’s Word. God’s Word is the effective language of prayer. It is what connects us to the throne of grace, to obtain mercy and help in the time of need.

And we must never forget to seal our prayers with thanksgiving.

Philippians 4:6 says ‘Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God’

Praise grants us access to God’s Presence, and His Presence will always make the difference.

Today, as we lift our voice to call upon God, certainly we will experience a speedy change of seasons.
In this last quarter of the year, God will bring you out of every failure and establish you in success. He will speedily bring an end to every bad weather and usher you in to a new season of wonders and miracles in Jesus Name..

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me grace to persevere in prayers, study of Your Word and praise, until I experience a favorable change of season in my affairs. Thank You Lord for ushering me to a season of greater victories in Jesus Name.
