With an agenda to turn Uganda into a Moslem nation, Idi Amin seriously persecuted Christians during his rule in the 1970’s. At a point he banned all but three Christian churches from operating in Uganda.
But Pastor Kefa Sempangi who was the pastor of the Redeemed Church of Uganda, defied Amin’s orders.
On Easter Sunday of 1973, he gathered over 7000 worshippers to celebrate Christ.
After the all-day worship service Pastor Kefa was confronted by men of Idi Amin’s Secret Police. They entered into a room where he was and pointed their rifles at his face and told him they were going to kill him for disobeying Amin’s orders.
The pastor told them his life was hidden in Christ, rather it was their own lives that were in danger; because they were headed for eternal damnation as sinners.
God used the words of the Pastor to penetrate the hardened hearts of these men. Instead of assassinating the pastor, they asked for his prayers .
These men became Christians that day and would later become instrumental in helping to save the lives of many Christians from the terror rule of Idi Amin.

As the redeemed of the Lord, our lives are hidden in Christ. It is no longer us that live but Christ is living His life through us. We are simply an extension of Christ as we live on earth.
Today marks Good Friday, the day Christ died for our sins on the Cross of Calvary. As He gave up the ghost, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.
The curtain in the temple symbolized the separation between God and man. But through His death, Jesus tore the veil that separated us from God.
With the middle wall of partition broken down, God’s Presence now abides with us.
Our lives are now bound in Christ’s life. We are no longer living as human beings on earth, but living as divine beings in Christ.
As Christ rose from the death, so have we been raised to sit with Him in Heavenly places far above principalities and powers and every force of darkness.
This understanding of our spiritual change of status will give us boldness and confidence against every attack of the enemy.
Whatever comes against us comes against the God in us. Whoever touches us touches the apple of His eyes.
Certainly, what cannot happen to Christ is not permitted to happen to us because in Him we live and move and have our being.(Acts 17:28).

PRAYER
Father, I thank You that through Christ’s death and resurrection, I have received new life and complete victory over every force of wickedness. Thank You Lord for enabling me to walk daily in the full consciousness of my redemption and victory in Jesus’ Name.

On August 7, 1955, an outstanding Chinese Church leader, Wang Ming-Dao and his wife were arrested at gunpoint for their Christian faith.
Wang Ming-Dao was known for his high standards and his resolute dedication to God’s Word. He was named ‘iron man’ for his strong faith. During the Japanese occupation of China, after being threatened many times by the Japanese government for his Christian faith, rather than compromise, Ming-Dao ordered himself a coffin to show he was ready to die for his faith.
After World War II, the Communists gained power in China. They arrested Christian leaders who refused to agree with their policies.
On August 7, 1955, after arresting Wang Ming-Dao and his wife, they sentenced the couple to fifteen years in prison.
Though Wang Ming-Dao was known for his strong stand, under intense pressure in prison, he finally cracked. He compromised his faith and after signing a confession to the government, he was released. But afterwards he was plagued by the guilt that he had betrayed Christ. He likened himself to Peter and Judas and had no peace. Finally, he and his wife agreed to reject their confession to the government. As a result, they were sent back to prison. Mrs. Wang was released in 1973 and Ming-Dao after spending twenty years was released in 1980.
Afterwards, they continued to teach God’s Word and maintained their Christian faith. Wang Ming-Dao left a legacy of being one of the most outspoken Christian leaders of his generation.

On thursday night, during the Last Supper with his disciples, Jesus predicted that Peter would deny Him thrice before the rooster crowed.
But Peter told Jesus “Even if i die with You, I will never deny You.”
Peter meant every word he said. However, after Jesus was arrested, Peter became afraid as he watched Jesus go through rigorous trials.
When Peter was questioned about his association with the Lord, he immediately denied Him three times.
Despite the horrible night of Peter’s failures, the Lord still gave him a new opportunity to do what was right and he went on to accomplish a great ministry.
The truth is that no matter how strong your resolve to live right, the enemy would keep looking for ways to break that resolve.
This is why we must constantly keep strengthening our faith through focus on God’s Word.
Many people started their Christian race with every intention to live wholly for Christ and maintain high standards. Some used to be firebrands and burned brightly with zeal for the Gospel. But over time, as they were confronted with trials and temptations, their fire began to wane and they lowered their standards.
This resurrection season is a good time for every believer to look inward and seek spiritual renewal. No matter how far we may stray, we can always get back to the Cross and be washed by the Blood.
God is full of mercy. When we come to Him in repentance, He is able to forgive us and give us another chance and even turn our mistakes into miracles.
God’s gifts and callings are without repentance, therefore today, let us determine never to give up on the great vision God has ordained for our lives. In this season, as we align with God’s will for us, certainly, it will be our time to break forth to glorious new beginnings and realization of God’s amazing destiny for us.

PRAYER: Lord, I know You have great plans for my life. No matter the trials and temptations or discouragements I may sometimes face, please enable me to always keep pressing forward to the mark of Your high calling for me  in Jesus Name. .

Albrecht Dürer was the most influential artist of the Northern Renaissance. He set up his workshop in 1494 and from there, he produced a wide variety of wonderful paintings including images of saints and Biblical stories. Centuries after his death, his works of art became highly sought after and highly priced.

Amazingly, one of his highly priced paintings somehow found its way to the wall of a small Church in Baltimore, Maryland in the U.S. Someone hung it and left it there. The church goers who did not know the value or worth of the painting did not pay it much attention. This painting hung on the wall of the Church for many years.

Then a time came when that church was passing through a terrible financial hardship. It so happened that someone who was familiar with Albrecht Dürer paintings was able to recognize the masterpiece on the wall of the Church. It had been “hiding” there for more than 25 years before finally being recognized as a piece of valuable artwork by Albrecht Dürer, dated 1493.

The work showed the angel telling Mary she would give birth to Jesus. With the understanding of the painting’s value, it became the answer to the Church’s financial troubles.

Many people are not even aware of the tremendous treasure lying within them. They are walking right past it every day, not knowing the worth of what they have.

As a child of God, there is a great wealth of potential within you. But it is only through the Holy Spirit that we can have a revelation of the treasures within us. [1 Corinthians 2:9]. The Almighty has endowed every believer with amazing gifts and callings. That is our seed of prosperity.

In 2 Kings 4:1-7 we find the story of the widow with debts. And after she narrated her ordeal to prophet Elisha, he asked her. ‘Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of Oil.”

She underrated the jar of oil, but it became the miraculous answer to her financial problems. The harvest you want will always be inside something you already have. You don’t need to look too far for your breakthroughs. There are ideas, talents, and potentials that are hanging on your wall, which you may have been walking past everyday.

All you need is for The Holy Spirit to open your eyes to recognize them. Ideas rule the world. Many times, what people have are not money problems but idea problems. Today, let us plead the Blood of Jesus against any spiritual blindness that hinders us from seeing our great potentials.

By the power in the Blood, from henceforth our eyes shall be opened to recognize the great treasures hidden within us and maximize them to the fullest to experience God’s glorious blessings.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to begin to behold wondrous things out of Your your law. I thank You for the grace to begin to recognize and maximize my potentials so as to manifest Your great plans for my life in Jesus Name.

Howard Hughes was born into a wealthy family and was the only child of his parents. Upon his father’s death, 75% of the family fortune was inherited by Howard who was only 18 years.
With so much money, he seemed to have the world at his feet.
By the 1960’s, Howard became the 4th richest man in the world. As a billionaire he lived extravagantly and lavishly fed his indulgences. Anything he wanted he simply bought it up, because he was rich enough to pay for it.
One of his habits was a penchant for living in luxury hotels. On some occasions, just because he did not want to check out of his hotel  room, he would buy up the entire hotel and continue his stay.
Another of his habits was late night movies. A chronic insomniac, he watched  movies on television all night long. When Hughes first arrived in Las Vegas and discovered they had no all-night TV stations, he bought KLAS Channel 8 television station in 1967. He got them to begin operating all night long so he could indulge his habit of watching late night movies. Yet, despite all the money he spent to find happiness, Howard Hughes died a recluse and a very lonely man.

It truly has been said that where purpose is not known abuse is inevitable. When people Lack understanding of the real purpose of money, it eventually leads to wasteful living: wealth that could have been invested to make great impact ends up being wasted on lavish indulgences.
As Christians, we are to set our hearts on what truly matters, and not on the frivolous things of the earth. Matthew 6:19–21 says, “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”.
The real purpose of prosperity is for us to accomplish God’s mission on earth.

Zechariah 1;17 says ‘Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad;.’

When your heart is set on God, your treasure will be spent on His purpose on earth. When your heart is rightly positioned on God, it will direct the distribution of your resources. David gave abundantly to the building of God’s temple, because his heart was set on God.
Giving to God’s Kingdom is the key to unending breakthroughs and breaking forth on every side. You can’t be truly sold out to God and not stand out on earth.
As we live with the passion and purpose of advancing God’s  kingdom through our giving, surely we will live with fulfillment and enjoy immeasurable blessings from Heaven.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to set my priorities right, by seeking first the promotion of Your kingdom. As I do, I thank You for causing me to truly break forth on every side in Jesus Name.

Humanity has long been fascinated with the mystery of the caterpillar’s miraculous transformation to a butterfly..
It is hard to understand how beautiful, colorful butterflies start life as wormy and creepy caterpillars.
This transformation is one of the most amazing occurrences in biology.
In the butterfly’s life cycle, there are four stages. A butterfly starts life in its first stage as a very small, round, oval egg. When the egg finally hatches, it enters the second stage when it becomes a caterpillar.

Caterpillars are ugly, short, stubby and have no wings at all. As soon as a caterpillar is done growing and they have reached their full length, they enter into the third stage and form themselves into a pupa, also known as a chrysalis.

From the outside of the pupa, it looks as if the caterpillar may just be resting, but inside it, the old body parts of the caterpillar are undergoing a remarkable transformation, called ‘metamorphosis,’.

Metamorphosis is a process of discomfort. Here, a caterpillar has to endure the struggle through the tiny hole in its cocoon. But this process of ‘metamorphosis,’ transforms the ugly parts of the caterpillar and in the fourth and final stage, it emerges from the cocoon as a beautiful butterfly.

The life of a butterfly teaches us that to get to your destined state, you must be willing to force your way out of your present state. A butterfly has to pass through a tough process before it can come into its beautiful manifestation. To come into the full manifestation of our glorious destiny, we must be willing to endure a period of stretching and growth.

This process of transition is a make or break phase of life where you sometimes have to pursue your vision in obscurity. For some people, this process can be so tough, it discourages them from pressing forward. So they settle for a mediocre, ordinary life.

But for those who endure through the process and keep putting in their best, it is only a matter of time before they reap their harvest of rewards(1 Corinthians 15:58).
As you continue to be consistent and persistent and serve with excellence and finesse, God will move you from obscurity into the limelight.

As believers, our path is meant to shine more and more everyday. Therefore wherever you may be today, as you abide faithful in your calling, be assured that your season of manifestation is coming. Certainly, you will soon break free from every limitation and break forth to the colorful new realms ordained for you this year.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you because I will not end my life’s journey in obscurity. I praise you for enabling me to pay the price of spiritual preparation so as to see the manifestation of Your glorious promises in my life in Jesus Name.

Jacqueline Bryony Lucy, known as Jackie Pullinger, is a British missionary to Hong Kong and founder of the St Stephen’s Society. She has been ministering in Hong Kong since 1966 when she arrived there as a 22 year old college graduate.

Jackie’s original plan was to serve as a missionary in Africa, but then she had a dream that impressed upon her to go to Hong Kong. Arriving there, she began her ministry in the infamous walled city of Kowloon which was known as the most densely populated city on earth. It was called the “City of Darkness,” because the buildings were so packed together that no sunlight could penetrate the narrow street ways.

This city was one of the world’s largest opium producing centers, ran by Chinese criminal Triad gangs. It was not policed and was a haven of crime and sin.
To this fearsome place came Jackie Pullinger to begin her missionary work. She established a youth centre to help the drug addicts and street sleepers.

Miraculously, she was able to get many gang boys saved and transformed. Over the years Jackie’s efforts led to an amazing degree of success. She set up the St. Stephen’s Society, which is one of the most successful organizations in the world today in rescuing hundreds of young people from a life of misery on the streets.
Jackie Pullinger’s amazing story is contained in her classic autobiography ‘Chasing the dragon’.

To do the work of the Lord, we need supernatural boldness. This is because, we may be called to places where we will face fearful situations, be confronted by giants and fight tough battles. But through faith in God, we can accomplish incredible things.

We must never limit what God can do in our lives. When Israel was about to take the promised land, God gave Joshua charge to be strong and courageous. The taking over of the land would be determined based on the state of the mind. God commanded him to meditate on the Word day and night, by so doing he would be victorious and not be afraid or dismayed.

Likewise to possess our promised land and come into our calling, we must be filled with faith and boldness through God’s Word. It doesn’t matter how formidable or impossible the outward conditions, what matters is how strong the faith within us. Jesus has given us the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over every power of the enemy and He said nothing shall by any means hurt us.

Though we may sometimes face intimidating situations, the greater One who lives in us will always help us overcome. To break forth to greater heights, we must not let fear stop us from taking bold steps. The truth is, when you move by faith and do what you can do, God will step in and do what you can’t do.

When you do the natural, God will do the supernatural.
Always remember, you are created to be a difference-maker and trail blazer in the world. With God on your side, surely nothing will be impossible for you to accomplish.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to meditate constantly on Your Word so that I can be strong and courageous to possess my inheritance and truly break forth on every side this year in Jesus Name. .

Mary Forsythe was a successful pharmacist who appeared to have everything until she was imprisoned for tax fraud. Mary gave her life to Christ at a young age, but as an adult she strayed from the Faith. By age 20, Mary Forsythe owned a pharmaceutical store that was one of the most successful in Texas.

Her client base was large, and everything was going great, until when the IRS discovered discrepancies in her tax records. She was charged to court and found guilty after a very embarrassing public trial. As Mary began serving her five years sentence in prison, she was so troubled that she almost committed suicide. She then cried out to God and asked Him to forgive her. This marked the beginning of her journey to a deeper relationship with God. Every chance Mary could get, she would devour the Bible. By the time, she eventually came out of the prison, Mary was a changed person.

Today Mary Forsythe is the president of her own ministry and travels around the globe preaching the Gospel. Her story is captured in the book ‘A Glimpse of Grace” which is the gripping tale of her downfall and the amazing grace of God that lifted her up.

Having integrity is an important part of our Christian testimony. Integrity is the foundation upon which a successful life is built. You can have talent, vision, determination, but if you lack integrity you won’t reach your highest potential.

On the highway to success, having strong Christian values are like having guardrails that keep you from veering off the road. God’s Word is our anchor of safety and security as we go through a wild world full of diverse temptations.

As the Israelites journeyed to the promised land, God told them that keeping His Word would make them survive as they passed through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water.’ (Deuteronomy 6:24).
Today, we live in a world where the devil goes about as a roaring lion looking for whom to devour, he has a mission to kill, steal and destroy.

To survive his various traps, lures and trials, we need to make the definite choice to walk in line with God’s Word. Oftentimes, it appears that following the ways of the world is faster and more beneficial. But it is that path that initially seems right, only to end in the ways of death.

The straight and narrow way of God’s Word is the path that leads to life, blessings, progress and peace. Because righteousness exalts a nation, our decision to walk in righteousness will certainly lift us to greater heights and keep us moving from glory to glory.

PRAYER: Lord, please always uphold me by Your Word and grant me the grace to never compromise my faith no matter the trial or temptation. I thank You for enabling me to always bring glory to You in all my dealings in Jesus Name.

The Voice is an American singing reality competition television series. Many people were amazed in 2020 when the show’s 18th season was won by 42-year-old Pastor Todd Tilghman who is the father of eight children.
The surprising thing was that Pastor Todd Tilghman had never sung outside of church before. He had been singing since he was 8 years old, hoping for a breakthrough with his musical career.
At 42 years old, he was almost too old for the Voice competition and felt so grossly inadequate that he wanted to pull out.
But with his wife’s encouragement he pressed on, trusting God with the outcome. What happened at the audition completely shocked him.

Usually when contestants try out in The Voice competition, they pray that just one of the four judges would turn around and pick them. But during Pastor Todd Tilghman’s audition, all four judges suddenly swung around in their seats.
The four-judge panel appeared stunned with his performance and he was unanimously picked as the 2020 winner of the competition. At 42 years old, Pastor Todd Tilghman became the oldest winner in the history of the competition. With his win, he gained sudden fame, his musical career kicked off, and he has since been producing albums and winning other musical awards.

God is able to do great things for us in ways and manners that exceeds our imagination. We serve the God of excessive power and excessive grace. With God on our side it’s never too late for our dreams.
Often times, we miss out on God’s best by allowing feelings of inadequacies to make us settle for less. But as a child of God, you are capable of much more accomplishment than you realize. You have potentials for greater victories than you could ever imagine.

It is not about you, it is about Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is not about your capability, it is about His ability at work in you. So do not limit yourself and do not let fear or discouragement stop you from pressing forward to your highest goals. You may not have enough money, enough education or not be the right age. But as long as you have God and walk in obedience to His commandments, you will surely bear fruit in due season. Every destiny is different, just as each plant blooms in its own season. As you continue to please God, at His appointed time, He can turn the tables in your favor.
Suddenly God can put you in positions you didn’t qualify for and accelerate your dreams. What should have taken you many years to accomplish God can do in split seconds in your life..
Certainly, God can do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or imagine. Therefore today, let us press deeper in our relationship with Him and keep praising Him in expectation of our own miraculous turnarounds. By His grace , it is indeed our season for sudden breakthroughs, divine shifts, accelerations and all-round multiplications.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to stop worrying about any limitations, or how unqualified I may be. I know You can exceed my expectations and certainly through You I can do all things in Jesus Name. .

Charles Fox Parham was an American preacher and evangelist who founded the Apostolic Faith Movement. He is also regarded as the founder and doctrinal father of the worldwide pentecostal movement.

For preaching the truth of God’s Word, Charles Parham often suffered heavy persecutions. In 1905, Parham traveled to Orchard, Texas and while ministering, there was such a great outpouring of the Spirit, that Parham was inspired to begin holding rallies throughout America.

These rallies resulted in great awareness of his ministry and attracted great crowds to his meetings. In each town he came to, many workers volunteered to assist in the outreaches. However, there were those who felt angered by the growing popularity and progress of Parham and began to instigate heavy persecution against him.

At one gathering, they poisoned several of his volunteer workers. But when Parham prayed for each of them immediately they recovered completely. Parham’s own life was threatened several times, but he always escaped.

Once, after taking a drink of water on the platform, Parham was doubled over with tremendous pain. But he began to pray and the pain left instantly. Later when the water from his glass was examined chemically, it was found to contain enough poison to kill a dozen men. Undaunted by the persecutions, Parham continued to spread the Gospel with signs and wonders following his ministry.

On our journey to success, we will often be confronted by the enemies of our progress. But despite their plots, our God is able to disappoint the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.[Job 5:12-14].

God is able to hide us from the secret counsel of the wicked and from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity (Psalms 64:2). Through the Blood of Jesus we are fortified against these agents of wickedness and shielded from their evil arrows.

The truth is, in every man’s promised land there will always be giants, who try to resist your forward movement. But whenever you are confronted, always remember that the Greater One lives in you. And He who is in you will always be greater than anything in the world fighting against you.

Despite the afflictions and oppressions of the enemy, by the Blood of Jesus you are destined for victory and glory. Certainly, in this season as we grow in our spiritual responsibility to pray, praise and study God’s Word, we will receive the power to overcome every resistance to our breaking forth to higher dimensions.

Through the power in the Blood, we will walk in dominion, rule in the midst of our enemies and rise to our glorious next levels of destiny.

PRAYER;
Father, I thank you that by the Blood of Jesus I have overcome every battle against my progress. By Your grace I have crossed over into a realm of inexplicable breakthroughs and blessings in Jesus’ Name.
