Humanity has long been fascinated with the mystery of the caterpillar’s miraculous transformation to a butterfly..
It is hard to understand how beautiful, colorful butterflies start life as wormy and creepy caterpillars.
This transformation is one of the most amazing occurrences in biology.
In the butterfly’s life cycle, there are four stages. A butterfly starts life in its first stage as a very small, round, oval egg. When the egg finally hatches, it enters the second stage when it becomes a caterpillar.
Caterpillars are ugly, short, stubby and have no wings at all. As soon as a caterpillar is done growing and they have reached their full length, they enter into the third stage and form themselves into a pupa, also known as a chrysalis.
From the outside of the pupa, it looks as if the caterpillar may just be resting, but inside it, the old body parts of the caterpillar are undergoing a remarkable transformation, called ‘metamorphosis,’.
Metamorphosis is a process of discomfort. Here, a caterpillar has to endure the struggle through the tiny hole in its cocoon. But this process of ‘metamorphosis,’ transforms the ugly parts of the caterpillar and in the fourth and final stage, it emerges from the cocoon as a beautiful butterfly.
The life of a butterfly teaches us that to get to your destined state, you must be willing to force your way out of your present state. A butterfly has to pass through a tough process before it can come into its beautiful manifestation. To come into the full manifestation of our glorious destiny, we must be willing to endure a period of stretching and growth.
This process of transition is a make or break phase of life where you sometimes have to pursue your vision in obscurity. For some people, this process can be so tough, it discourages them from pressing forward. So they settle for a mediocre, ordinary life.
But for those who endure through the process and keep putting in their best, it is only a matter of time before they reap their harvest of rewards(1 Corinthians 15:58).
As you continue to be consistent and persistent and serve with excellence and finesse, God will move you from obscurity into the limelight.
As believers, our path is meant to shine more and more everyday. Therefore wherever you may be today, as you abide faithful in your calling, be assured that your season of manifestation is coming. Certainly, you will soon break free from every limitation and break forth to the colorful new realms ordained for you this year.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank you because I will not end my life’s journey in obscurity. I praise you for enabling me to pay the price of spiritual preparation so as to see the manifestation of Your glorious promises in my life in Jesus Name.
