Jonathan Goforth was the foremost missionary revivalist in China in the early 20th century.
He succeeded in the very difficult mission field of China through the divine help of the Holy Spirit.
Jonathan and his wife arrived in Shantung Province, China, in 1888. For the first seven years, they preached for many hours with not much success. One day, at the point of complete physical exhaustion, they kneeled down and asked God to send them an evangelist who would help with the preaching. The next day, a man named Wang Fulin appeared at the mission house seeking employment. This man was a former gambler and opium smoker who had been converted to Christianity two years earlier but had no job. He told Jonathan and his wife, that the day before God gave him the idea to come and meet them.
Jonathan recalled their prayer for a helper and wondered if this man could be the answer. That afternoon, he asked Wang Fulin to help him do the preaching.
As Wang began to speak the result was amazing; he held the chinese crowd spellbound with the story of his conversion and breaking his opium addiction.
Wang Fulin became the best preacher and helper Jonathan could have ever hoped for. Through him, Jonathan Goforth reached many of the local Chinese people and thousands of souls were drawn to Christ.

It is good to know that God says, ‘Before they call, I will answer, and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.’[Isaiah 65:24]
Before Jonathan Goforth and his wife knelt down to pray for a helper, God had already prepared Wang Fulin and prompted him to come to them.
In times of need, always remember that you serve the God who is always on duty; He never sleeps nor slumbers, and nothing takes Him by surprise. He is able to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Even before the need arises, God has already organized the supply and orchestrated the solution.
Therefore, rather than fret or worry over any issue, let us always trust God to be our ever-present help in times of need.
As our Helper and Comforter, the Holy Spirit always works in our lives to ensure that things turn out in our favor.
However, it is only through the eyes of faith that we can see Him at work in times of difficulties.
This is why it is important to build up our faith through diligent study of the Word and fervent prayers.
In this season, never limit what God can do in your life, rather in every situation, always trust and keep praising Him. As you do so, God will cause a sudden divine shift in your circumstances, He will send to you butlers to open doors to your next level. He will bring midwives of destiny to help birth the visions in your heart and He will supply your needs exceedingly abundantly above all expectations.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for always hearing me when I call and answering me speedily. Please help me to be filled with the faith I need to see You always working in my favor in Jesus Name.

Richard Allen was one of the most active and influential black leaders of his time. He founded the first independent Black denomination in the United States.
His vision was to organize a denomination in which black people could worship with dignity and without racial oppression.
He was born into slavery on February 14, 1760. By the time he was 17 years old, he got born again and immediately began to preach to fellow slaves. When white neighbors advised his master, Stokeley Sturgis, that practicing religion would make Allen unproductive, he worked hard to prove them wrong.
His white master, Sturgis, was so impressed by Allen that he soon became converted to Christianity. As an outward show of his genuine repentance, Stokeley Sturgis freed his slaves.
As a freeman, Allen dedicated himself to the spreading of the gospel. But when he found that in the Church where he worshipped, black people were often segregated and mistreated, he decided to acquire a building that became the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. It was the first Methodist Church in the United States specifically for African Americans
By the time of Allen’s death in 1831, the Church he founded had grown to nearly 10,000 members and today its membership numbers in millions of worshipers.

Through the help of the Holy Spirit, Richard Allen broke the barriers and shackles of being born into slavery and achieved incredible feats.
As a child of God, you are unstoppable.Though you may encounter difficulties and challenges on your journey, as you rely on the help of the Holy Spirit, you will be an amazement to the world..
By the power of the Holy Spirit you will go beyond your human capabilities and make global impacts.Through the indwelling anointing of the Spirit, you can accomplish what seems impossible to men and complete
God’s divine assignment in your life.
When God asked Zerubbabel to build the temple, He said to him, ‘This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.’ [Zechariah 4:6-7].

God’s invisible power is domiciled, embedded, and resides in the Holy Ghost.. If you don’t know Who you carry inside, you will likely sell yourself short and settle with mediocre results in life. But when you know that inside you reside dunamis power, you will keep your expectations high and press forward to accomplish great things.
Today, though this year may seem far gone, you can still achieve incredible results by trusting God to make a way in the wilderness and cause rivers to flow in the desert for you.. (Isaiah 43:19).
No matter how great the obstacles that hitherto resisted your progress, by engaging the superior force of the Holy Ghost, you can overcome them all.
Through renewed appetite for God’s Word, fervent prayers, and passionate worship, we will certainly experience an eruption of power that will cause us to break forth into realms of sweat-less triumph and unending victory.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to spiritually position myself for a fresh encounter with Your Spirit. By the help of the Spirit I will surely experience divine speed and achieve incredible feats in this season in Jesus Name

In 66 AD, approximately 35 years after Jesus’ crucifixion, the Jews revolted against their Roman rulers. This revolt attracted stiff penalties from the Roman army, which invaded Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
As the Roman army surrounded Jerusalem, the followers of Jesus recalled His earlier warning to them.
In Matthew 24, Jesus, speaking by the Holy Spirit, warned His disciples about things to come. He told them, ‘When you see Jerusalem encompassed about with armies, know that the desolation thereof is near; let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains’.
Though Jesus was speaking prophetically about the end of the age, He was also giving them direct warning of an impending doom. History records that as the Roman armies began to advance towards Jerusalem, the disciples obeyed the warning of Jesus and fled from Jerusalem to Pella on the other side of the Jordan River.
This fact is recorded by the fourth-century church historian Eusebius of Caesarea.
By fleeing to the mountains of Pella, Christians were not affected by the destruction of Jerusalem, where the city and temple were burned down and many Jews died. The mountains of Pella are today part of the attractions on a tour of Israel.

Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus gave His disciples warning, which helped them escape from the future destruction of Jerusalem.
Throughout the course of their ministries, the Holy Spirit was active in guiding the disciples away from danger. In the book of Acts, when Paul was to go up to Jerusalem, the Holy Spirit spoke through a number of prophets, warning Paul of what lay ahead. It was also through the help of the Holy Spirit that Peter was delivered from prison a day before Herod would have killed him.
During His earthly ministry, Jesus Himself was dependent upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
And when He was leaving the earth, He prayed to the Father to also give us the Holy Spirit, because He knows we crucially need Him to survive and excel on the earth. The distinguishing factor of our being sons of God, is that we are led by the Spirit of God [Romans 8:14].
Today, we are living in perilous times, which are climatic days of spiritual warfare. To dominate and thrive, we need the Holy Spirit to reveal to us what to do per time and empower us for victory.
Because our wrestle is with unseen forces of spiritual wickedness in high places, we can’t afford to operate merely by mental knowledge or common sense. We need the spiritual guidance, wisdom, and discernment of the Spirit to handle the battles that come against us. By His help, we will always have the victory and rule in the midst of our enemies.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to seek the guidance of Your Spirit in all I do. Today, I receive the grace to always seek Your counsel and obey Your Word so that I can excel and triumph always in Jesus Name

How could a poor black woman, born to former slaves, the 15th of 17 children, rise to become the most influential black woman of her times?
The story of Mary McLeod Bethune is indeed a testimony of excelling through divine help.
At the age of 7, Mary convinced her father to let her go to school despite the fact he could barely afford it. She walked 5 miles a day to and from school.
When there was no money to send her to college, a miracle occurred when a local missionary woman chose to sponsor her education at the Moody Bible Institute, and she became the first African-American student to attend the Institute.
In the school, Mary’s spiritual life deepened when she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This divine encounter empowered her for effective service throughout the rest of her life.
After graduation, Mary started a school for black children in 1904, with only $1.65. God helped her, and in less than two years, her school grew to 250 students and four teachers.
Mary was catapulted to the limelight when her work became noticed by the American government, and she was appointed as an adviser to President Franklin D. Roosevelt. In later years, she held leadership positions in several African American organizations.
Though Mary McLeod Bethune grew up with great odds against her, through the help of God she became one of the greatest Americans of her time.

With God, there is nothing you can’t achieve, and there is no obstacle you can’t overcome. Through Him, all things are possible.
There is no limit to how far you can fly in life when you plug into God’s unlimited power supply.
Through the power of the Spirit of God, you can exceed all expectations and achieve far-reaching impact and influence in the world.
As believers, God has placed in our spiritual account an awesome deposit of His Spirit to enable us to ascend to glorious heights in life. When we obey His leading, He will lift us from grass to grace; from the dunghill to seat among princes. There is no barrier to the greatness we can accomplish with the help of the Spirit. As far as our eyes can see, He is able to give to us.
Therefore, let us stop limiting ourselves by trying to accomplish greatness by our own strength. Help is available through the Spirit of God.
As we draw closer to Him through a daily walk of purity, study of the Word, prayers, and worship, surely we shall break forth on every side and ascend to glorious new realms of life.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to overcome the limitations on my path and access glorious new levels of breakthroughs this year. Thank You for doing exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine in Jesus Name.

James Garfield was born into a Christian family, where his mother taught him the Gospel right from his childhood. But as he grew older, James lost interest in the things of God; he only desired to be a sailor and enjoy a carefree life.
When he turned 16, James got his first job as a boat driver on the river. One night, while trying to coil a loose rope, James lost his balance and fell into the river. He couldn’t swim; it was late at night, and no one could hear his cries for help.
After struggling, he finally grasped the rope that was hanging by the side of the boat and pulled himself up from the stagnant waters. Once in the boat, he was surprised to see that the rope that he had used to save himself from drowning was not tied to anything; it was a loose rope that somehow got wedged in a crack in the boat’s planking. Miraculously, it had anchored him to climb up out of the river.
This event became a major turning point in James’ life that made him give up his plans of being a sailor. Days later, he journeyed back home. As he passed by the window, he heard his mother praying loudly for his salvation. He was so touched that he eventually surrendered his life to Christ.
As James sought divine guidance for his life, instead of ending up as a sailor, he became a respectful lawyer and ordained Gospel minister. Then on November 2, 1880, he was elected the 20th president of the United States. He was historically the only Gospel minister to have ever served as America’s president.

In the book of Jeremiah, the Israelites went through a long period of suffering—seventy years of captivity because they had strayed from God. Yet God said to them He still had a plan for them—it was a plan to prosper them and give them hope and a future. [Jeremiah 29:11].
Sometimes we may take wrong steps and find ourselves in a place of frustration, regret, and pain, yet God still says to us, ‘I have plans for you.’
God never gives up on us, even when we give up on ourselves. We sometimes suffer unnecessarily by following our own ways, yet God remains willing to restore us.
God’s purpose for us surpasses whatever plans we may have for ourselves. As heavens are higher than the earth, so are God’s thoughts higher than ours.
It is His plan for us to be pacesetters and trailblazers wherever we go. We are redeemed to be kings and priests to reign on the earth. But access to this glorious destiny is only with the help of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us that God reveals His mind to us through His Spirit.
To know God’s purpose for us per time, we have to seek the Holy Spirit personally through growing in the Word, prayer, and fellowship. Today, as we submit ourselves to consistently obey the Holy Spirit, surely, He will guide us into God’s glorious plan and purpose for us in this season.

PRAYER Lord, Please help me to be willing to pay whatever price it takes, to grow in fellowship and intimacy with Your Spirit, so that I can be guided on the journey of destiny and excel exceedingly in Jesus Name.

Frederick K. C. Price began his ministry in 1955 by serving as an assistant pastor. From there he moved on to pastoring a number of churches. But by 1969, he was quite frustrated because his Church services felt dry and powerless. From observing powerful ministries like that of Oral Roberts and Katherine Kuhlman, he realized that what he lacked was the Holy Spirit.
In his book, ‘The Holy Spirit: The missing ingredient”, Frederick K.C. Price told the story of how he embarked on a desperate quest for an encounter with the Holy Spirit.
Months later in February 1970, his life became revolutionized when he finally began an intimate, deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. From this encounter flowed great power that brought a massive turnaround. His congregation began to grow rapidly and two years later, in November 1973, they moved into a new facility, the Crenshaw Christian Center in Inglewood, California. From a congregation of 300 members, the church would grow to over 20,000 members. To contain the increasing population, they built the “FaithDome”, which at the time became the largest domed church in the United States. Through the help of the Holy Spirit the ministry of Frederick K.C Price moved from no impact to greatly impacting his generation with miracles signs and wonders. He went on to become a celebrated international minister known, especially through his ‘Ever Increasing Faith’ ministries broadcast, which aired weekly on television and radio.

The Holy Spirit is often the missing ingredient in our quest for a massive breakthrough.
Any endeavor that lacks the presence of the Spirit will be limited in its scope. It is through His divine enablement that we can experience supernatural growth and expansion.
If you have been stuck at the same level, year after year; you need the wind of the Spirit to cause a shift in your circumstances. He will thrust you further than you could ever imagine and open doors that you never even dreamed possible. Through the help of the Spirit you can break forth on every side and increase exceedingly in all your endeavors.
The Holy Spirit makes the huge difference in our journey. It is by His manifestations that we profit greatly in life [1 Corinthians 12:7.]
Life becomes hard and frustrating, if you are trying to move forward by your own strength. It takes God’s explosive blessings to thrust you years ahead. But to see such miraculous advancement on the outside, we need to make room for the Holy Spirit inside. As we come into a deeper relationship with Him, He will guide us into greater levels of our destiny.
He will supernaturally bless us beyond all expectations and establish us in divine health and vigor.
Today, let us determine to seek the Holy Spirit with greater fervency so as to see the end of dryness and unfruitfulness in our lives and begin a new chapter of supernatural increase and breaking forth to glorious new heights.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You that it is my portion to see divine expansion and supernatural increase in this season. I receive the grace to seek the Holy Spirit with renewed zeal so as to experience unprecedented growth in every area in Jesus Name.

Jack Hibbs is the founding pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and is the president of the Real Life ministry. Pastor Hibbs has a remarkable story of survival through divine help.
Early in 1957, Jack’s mother tried to abort him because his father said he did not want another child after their first two children. She was heavily pregnant at this time and her attempt at abortion could have cost her life. Mercifully, God sent someone that dissuaded her from carrying out the abortion. Three weeks later, on January 15, 1958, Jack was born into the world.
While growing up, Jack became aware his father didn’t want him. This made him feel rejected and hurt, and he was often angry and violent.
To worsen matters, he was a severe stutterer, which made him to be often mistreated, and mocked by other children.
However, at 19 years of age, Jack’s story changed positively when he surrendered his life to Christ. One of the first things God did was to heal his embarrassing stuttering. From then on, Jack sought God passionately and eventually went into ministry. He began a home fellowship with just six people, and since then his ministry has grown massively. Today , it attracts thousands of worshippers, and he ministers to millions of people in various countries through media outreaches.

Just like Jack, you may start out in life facing great odds, but through connection to divine help, you will surely overcome all.
The truth is that great destinies attract great battles. Because of who you are destined to become, the enemy starts early, even from the womb, to systematically try to undermine your future.
The intensity of these attacks is often indicative of the level of your calling; the higher the mantle, the greater the battles.
But no matter what you go through in life, no matter the rejections, pains, and disappointments, through the help of the Holy Spirit, you will emerge victorious. Zephaniah 3:19 says that God wants to undo all that afflicts us and get us praise and fame in every place where we were put to shame. For this to happen, we need to draw closer to the Holy Spirit because He is the One that manifests God’s Word in our lives. He is our helper, comforter, and burden-bearer.
Just as the power of the Holy Spirit raised Christ from the grave, by His help we are elevated above life’s challenges.
No matter the battles against us, it is our portion to triumph always through the power in the Blood of Jesus. As we invoke His Blood today, surely every attack that has trailed us from the womb will be terminated. Every hindrance against our progress will be destroyed, and we will only keep moving forward and breaking forth to new heights in our glorious destiny.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for the power in Your Blood that guarantees me eternal victory. By the Blood, I am delivered from limitations and hindrances, to enjoy abundant grace and unending progress in Jesus Name.

The book ‘Saved by Angels’ contains the amazing story of Bruce Van Natta.
On November 16, 2006, Bruce, a self-employed mechanic, went to work on a customer’s truck. After completing the job, he was about to go home when the customer asked him to check an oil leak from the engine. As Bruce went beneath the truck, suddenly the jack holding up the truck fell out, and the 10,000-pound weight of the truck came down on Bruce’s chest, crushing him. The front axle which fell on his stomach was like a blunt guillotine, that nearly cut his body into two. As Bruce felt himself dying, he cried out, ‘Lord, help me.’
At that point, he became unconscious, and his spirit left his body and floated up towards the ceiling. Bruce found himself looking down at the accident scene from above and saw two huge angels by the side of his body. In that moment, Bruce realized God had sent His angels to help him.
After that, he felt his spirit return to his body, and he became conscious. When rushed to the hospital, doctors, on seeing his condition, doubted he would even survive the next few hours. But as friends and family prayed, God miraculously restored his health after two months in the hospital. Doctors testified that Bruce was the only person in the world that ever had five major arteries severed and yet survived. Today, Bruce Van Natta is a preacher of the Gospel and the founder of sweet bread ministries located in Wisconsin.

Just as God sent angels to help Bruce, believers are never alone in the midst of trouble. When you go through complex challenges in life, it may sometimes seem as if you are walking alone. But the truth is that God is always there. Psalm 23:4 says, ‘Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.’
Whatever we may pass through, God never leaves us nor forsakes us. God will always send us help out of Zion; He is an ever-present help in the time of trouble.
God said in Isaiah 43:2, “When you go through the waters, I will be with you; when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.”.
God may not keep us out of every fire or flood, but He promises to be right there to pull us through. Even in the midst of what seems like a chaotic situation, God works behind the scenes, orchestrating miracles.
And because we know He is with us, we can have joy in the midst of adversity and be at peace in the storm. Even when obstacles seem too much, it is never too much for our God. God is our refuge, our strong tower, our deliverer, and our fortress.
As we seek greater intimacy with Him in this season, surely, God will turn up as the fourth man to deliver us from every fiery furnace and turn every test into a testimony for us.

PRAYER; Father, I thank You for being my ever present help in every time of need. I receive the grace to praise continually because l know that through Christ I am destined to triumph always in Jesus Name.

In 1921, David and Svea Flood left Sweden to go serve as missionaries in N’dolera, in the Congo.
However, on arrival at the village, they met stiff resistance from the local chief, and their mission appeared fruitless. The only convert they made was a little boy who used to sell eggs to them.
When his wife died from complications during childbirth, David Flood was devastated. He gave the newborn baby girl, named Aggie, to another missionary couple and returned to Sweden. He never cared to make any contact with his daughter and eventually backslid and turned his back on God.
As little Aggie grew up, she was often told the story of her parents. She later married a minister of the Gospel, named Davey Hurst. One day, she read in a magazine about a great minister of the Gospel in the Congo who was doing exploits and leading multitudes to Christ. This man said as a boy he was led to Christ by a missionary couple named David and Svea Flood, whom he used to sell chicken and eggs to.
Excited about this story of her parents, Aggie traveled to Sweden to find her father. She eventually located him and introduced herself to the shocked father. Later, she showed him the story in the magazine of the great things God was doing in the Congo through their only convert. David Flood realized that their labor in the Congo had not been in vain and that God had indeed been faithful. He repented and rededicated himself to the Lord.
This true story of Aggie Hurst is recorded in her book titled ‘The Inspiring Story of a Girl without a Country.’

God indeed works in ways we may not immediately fathom. This is why in every situation we are to give Him thanks. Even when we might not immediately understand the happenings, we have to trust that God is still at work. And if we refuse to be weary in well-doing, soon we shall see the manifestation of His goodness.
No matter what may be happening, continue to judge God faithful and continue to walk by faith and not by sight. Every problem has an expiry date; every storm runs out of rain. Those times when it seems things will never work may just be the very place and time that the tide will turn in your favor. It is often when you are closest to your breakthrough that the night seems the darkest. But though weeping may endure for a night, joy comes in the morning. This is why we praise God at all times, knowing that He is at work and turning things around even in what seems our darkest nights..
If so far this year, things have not gone the way you envisaged it; do not lose heart. Rather than complain or murmur, continue to bless God for His marvelous help. It is not over until God says so.
When one door closes, God is able to open a better one. Through His divine help, circumstances can suddenly swing in your favor, and you will break forth to heights beyond your wildest expectations.
To see such a forceful turnaround, you need to continually bless the Lord at all times. Be radical with your praise. If you can do the ridiculous, surely you will soon see the miraculous, and every mourning shall be turned into dancing for you.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to praise You always despite how contrary things may sometimes seem around me. Thank You, Lord, because I know that even right now You are working everything together for my good in Jesus’ Name.

In August 1942, they were lined up for deportation to Treblinka – a horrifying death camp built by the Nazi for the killing of Jews.
As others boarded the train, when Szpilman was also about to board, a policeman suddenly pulled him out and told him to escape.
Szpilman lived in hiding as the war intensified. He was alarmed one day when a German military unit moved in and set up base in a building where he was hiding. Shortly after, a German officer named Wilm Hosenfeld, discovered him! Amazingly, instead of arresting or shooting him, this officer allowed him to continue hiding in the house attic and occasionally brought him food and clothing. With the help of the German officer, Władysław survived. At the end of war, he picked up his career as a famous pianist and continued to play in concerts around the world. His story is recorded in the movie ‘The Pianist’.

By divine intervention, Wladyslaw Szpilman escaped close calls with death more than once.
Lamentations 3:22 says ‘it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”
This verse does not just say ‘mercy’, it says “mercies”. This means that again and again, God shows up to show us mercy and deliver us from the snares of the enemy. The miraculous help of God is one of the vital mysteries of life. Our survival does not depend on our strength or our five physical senses. We all need God’s help to survive the evils and troubles of this world.
One way we attract divine help is by trusting in God.
Psalm 28:6-7 says “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him’
When our heart trusts in God, He will always arise to help us. Therefore, let us continually fill our hearts with the Word so that our faith and trust can be built up to continually enjoy divine help at every time of need.
Today, it doesn’t matter how strong the battles you may face in your finances, health or relationships; God will surely deliver you as you put your trust in Him. As you stand in faith and constantly bless God, every setback will turnaround to become a divine setup that will catapult you to your next level of glory.

PRAYER, Father, please help me to diligently study Your Word so that I can develop great faith and trust in You. I know that even right now You are making a way for me through Your saving grace in Jesus Name.
