JANUARY 19; KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS..

Hebrews 12:2 ‘Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.’

DAILY READING; Acts 21:1-36; Judges 16; Psalm 42

Today, the modern Pentecostal Movement has been called, the “fastest growing phenomenon in world religious history”. It has hundreds of millions of adherents in most nations of the world. The modern Pentecostal movement began in 1901, through the preaching and teaching of Charles Fox Parham.
At a time when very little was known about the subject of speaking in tongues, Parham preached distinctively that it was the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Parham started a Bible school in October 1900, where the students were taught the need for a restoration of New Testament Christianity, as found in the Book of Acts.
However, there were those who didn’t accept Parham’s teaching and a great persecution arose against his ministry. Scandalous things were printed in the Newspapers about him to malign his character.
One day, after many such slanderous accusations against him, Parham became concerned that the rising persecution would forever ruin his work. But while deep in prayer, he heard these words, “I made Myself of no reputation.”
Parham then realized that he could not adequately carry out God’s will, if he kept focusing on the persecutions and worrying about his reputation.. He needed to keep his focus on his call and allow God take care of all else.
And so Parham focused his attention on teaching the truth about the baptism in the Holy Spirit and kept his gaze on fulfilling God’s call upon his life.
He held tremendous meetings where thousands were healed and baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was in one of these meetings in 1924 that Gordon Lindsay found salvation and would later establish the international Bible college, Christ for the Nations.
Before Charles Parham died, his ministry contributed to millions of conversions, both directly and indirectly. And even today, the influence of his ministry continues to be felt all over the world, though the explosion of the modern Pentecostal movement.

Indeed great faith is the product of great fights. Great triumphs can only come from great trials. If we are going to achieve anything great in life, we must learn to take our eyes off the persecutions and keep our focus on Jesus. Noah built an ark in a world that had never seen rain. People thought he was crazy. But if Noah had listened to the naysayers, he would have joined them to drown in the flood.
In Mathew 14, as long as Peter kept his gaze on Jesus he could walk on the water. But the moment he became distracted by the storm he began to sink.
If you are going to walk on water and do wonders this year, then you must keep your focus on Jesus. Refuse to be distracted by any storm. Understand that all the commotion the enemy sends your way, is only designed to get you to shift your focus. But keep going forward and never mind the noise.
The difference between great faith and little faith is the object of focus. Focus on Jesus and not the storm. Always look at the One who holds the power over the storm.
Spend time in fervent prayer and diligent study of the Word. Listen to what God is saying and not what man is saying.
Regardless of what comes your way, situations or circumstances cannot limit what God can do in your life.
Even if everything seems to be rising up against you, keep going forward. Always remember that every challenge is only a phase. It too shall pass. Every problem, they say, has an expiry date. Draw strength from God’s Word and always keep the fire burning on your altar of prayer and praise. You may not control what happens around you, but you can control what happens within you by keeping your heart strong in God’s Word.
No matter what comes your way, always remember that you serve the God who does mind blowing things. He does wonders without number. And as we keep our focus on Him in this season of prayers, surely He will do such amazing miracles in our lives that will shut up the detractors and truly cause men to wonder.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always focus on your Word and fervent prayers and praise, so that I can possess the faith to keep pressing forward no matter the challenges. By Your grace, I am overcoming every battle and indeed becoming a wonder to all in Jesus Name. .

JANUARY 18; SUPERNATURAL ANSWERS TO PRAYERS.

1 John 5:14 says ‘And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us ‘

DAILY READING; Acts 20:17-34; Judges 14-15; Job 42

George Mueller was an evangelist and great Christian leader of the 19th century. He is considered one of the greatest men of prayer and faith who ever lived.
George Mueller’s life exemplified how much could be accomplished by prayer and faith. While serving as the pastor of Gideon chapel in Bristol in 1832, he accepted no salary but chose to daily believe the Lord to meet his needs. He constantly fed on God’s Word to build up his faith to believe for great things.
While at Bristol, George built orphanages that eventually cared for more than ten thousand orphans. Yet, he never made the needs of the orphanage known to anyone except to God in prayers. The history of the Bristol orphanages is page after page of answered prayers. George Mueller had over fifty thousand specific answers to prayers recorded in his journals. In amazing ways the Lord directed funds to him throughout his sixty-six years of ministry. Most of these prayers were answered the same day or the same hour that he prayed them. God funneled over half a billion dollars through his hands in answer to prayer.
An excerpt from his journal on June 15, 1837 reads – ‘To the Glory of the Lord, whose I am, and whom I serve, I would state again, that every shilling of this money, and all the articles of clothing and furniture, which have been mentioned in the foregoing pages, have been given to me, without one single individual having been asked by me for anything.”
These narratives from his journal are compiled in the book ‘Answers to prayers’, which is George Muller’s public testimony of the power of prayer.

George Muller’s life shows us that God indeed answers prayers.
There is no limit to the answers God will give us when we pray. He has asked us to open our mouth wide and He will fill it. [Psalm 81:10]
God is able to move Heaven and earth on our behalf, but He’s only waiting for us to sincerely open our mouth in prayer and call upon Him. The tragedy of our day is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.
In Psalm 2:8, God says to us ‘Ask of Me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.’
God is encouraging us to ask Him for great things. He’s the God who cannot fail. He is the God to whom nothing is impossible. He created the whole universe and owns all the silver and gold. He is just waiting to show us His awesome power.
Indeed as far as our eyes can see, God is able to give to us. However why it seems we are sometimes limited in prayers is because of the level of our faith.

Matthew 21:22 says “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

It is when we believe, that we receive. Faith is the catalyst for answered prayers. Faith from the Word, gives us the boldness to approach God’s throne of grace with the confidence that guarantees us answers.
Indeed God is too faithful to fail. Therefore if we are not seeing answers to our prayers, we must check ourselves. Perhaps, it could be because we are regarding iniquity in the heart [Psalm 66:18] or we are asking amiss [James 4:2-3]. But when we sincerely pray according to God’s will, He is bound by covenant to answer us.

1 John 5:14 says ‘And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us ‘
God’s will is consistent with His word. When we pray in line with His Word, His supernatural power is released to meet our needs. Also praying in the Holy Ghost enables us to pray in line with God’s Will. And thanksgiving seals the answers to our prayers [1 Thessalonians 5:18].
In this season of fasting and praying, let us not limit what God can do in our lives. As we begin to believe Him for supernatural answers, certainly, the mighty manifestation of His power will turn us into a wonder.

PRAYER; Father, I thank You for the great and mighty things You are set to do in my life. Thank You Lord for granting me supernatural answers to my prayers. By Your grace I am certainly becoming a wonder this year in Jesus Name.

JANUARY 17; WINNING YOUR BATTLES

Psalm 91:4 ‘Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.

DAILY READING – • Acts 20:1-16; Judges 13; Job 41

World War II, is the deadliest conflict in history, with over 70 million fatalities. World War II was a global conflict that started on 7 July 1937 in Asia and 1 September 1939 in Europe and lasted until 1945, involving the majority of the world’s states and every inhabited continent.
World War II is the only war to have used nuclear weapons till date. This war was marked by Hitler’s Holocaust and mass deaths. World War II was the most extensive and costly armed conflict in the history and drastically changed world politics forever.

Indeed mankind has always been involved in wars for thousands of years. This is all in an attempts to prove dominance over others.
Even today, wars are constantly being fought. Currently, there are still many ongoing conflicts in different nations of the world.
However, what is happening physically is also a reflection of what is going on spiritually.
Everyday spiritually, there is a fierce warfare going on, where darts and arrows are flying up and down in every direction.
While the physical battles have specific locations and specific people involved in it, the spiritual battle has no specific location, it is being fought everywhere on all fronts, and everyone is involved. But in these battles God has promised protection to His children.

Psalm 91:4 says ‘Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.

Though these arrows are flying up and down, God is saying we should not be afraid of them, because we are under divine cover.
Arrows fly by day, in form of evil manipulations, incarnations, and enchantments.
Psalm 64:3 says ‘Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:’
From this scripture we find that, bitter words, evil words, are shot forth as arrows. This is why we must daily take up the shield of faith, to quench any of these fiery dart of the wicked.

Ephesians 6 says above all taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall quench darts of the wicked.

The shield of Faith is formed by surrounding ourselves with the Word of God. We must always fill our heart with the Word, and confess it with our mouth.
Life is essentially a battle of words. The stronger the words you speak, the more you dominate over the enemy. The Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword. And it is by God’s Word that we dominate over negative situations and circumstances that challenge us.
In this year if we are to see the prophesied wonder, then we must learn how to speak right and release God’s Word against every negative situation. A closed mouth is a closed destiny. We must be able to release the Word of God against the things fighting our destiny. Stop watching situations silently. It is time to begin to speak. Speak God’s Word to silence every spiritual opposition. Never forget that it is when the strangers hear your voice that they will fade out of their close places.
The enemy is shooting forth arrow of words, you can’t afford to keep silent. So arise and begin to declare the counsel of God over you. Speak against stagnation, sickness or any other anti-covenant thing that is trying to hang around you. And as you do, every tongue that rises against you, shall surely be condemned in Jesus Name.

PRAYER; Lord help me to speak Your Word boldly against the things fighting my destiny. In this season, may I never lose out through a closed mouth. By Your Word I have the victory in every battle in Jesus Name.

JANUARY 16; WATCH AND PRAY ALWAYS…

Luke 21:36 ‘Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man’.

DAILY READING; Acts 19:21-41; Judges 11:34-12:15; Job 40

Many believers in China are facing a bitter winter of tribulation. The level of persecution in China is at its worst level since the cultural revolution in the 1960’s and 70’s. The Chinese government is going as far as installing facial recognition cameras to monitor those coming to Church.
In 2018, new regulations governing religious affairs took effect, which led to the arrest of many pastors and the demolition and shutting down of their Churches.
Pastor Xiang En is a pastor of a Chinese underground Church who recently had their Church closed by the government.
His story of persecution was featured by some Christian News outlets.
In March 2018, the Chinese government had installed facial recognition cameras in the lobby of Pastor Xiang En’s Church building. The purpose was to gather the private data of his Church members. Through the cameras, government officers could identify the Church goers and gather information about them. With the collected data, they were able to hunt down every single church member to threaten and intimidate them to give up their Christian belief.
Six months after installing the cameras, on September 9, 2018, hundreds of policemen raided the Church, smashed the building and put the fulltime ministers, and senior pastor under custody, and took away all ministry equipment and shut down the Church.

While such a scenario may seem strange to some of us, we must understand that a day is coming when such persecutions will be the norm all over the world.
A time is coming when all manner of monitoring systems will be put in place to identify and fish out Christians. There will be a massive worldwide hunt for believers, and everyone who refuses to take the mark of the beast.
The fulfillment of Revelation 13:14–15, would include a massive information-retrieval-and-storage system that would track and manipulate the billions of people on planet Earth.
Facial recognition is not the only way technology can trace people, Voice recognition systems can identify a person through their speech patterns. Security operatives will use biometric technology to match people on the street and identify them in seconds. The monitoring systems existing today are tools that would be easily exploited by the antichrist.
All this should make us determined not to miss the rapture. Anyone who gets left behind will face unprecedented persecution. The Bible says that the tribulation will be such that except the Lord shortens those days, no flesh would be saved.
Let us therefore utilize the time we still have left to live ready and stay prepared, for no man knows the day or the hour.

In Luke 21:36 Jesus gave us the guideline for preparation. He said ‘Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man’.

Watching in the Word and praying always is a crucial requirement to escape what is coming upon the earth. Let us indeed do all we can to abide in the center of God’s Will, because that is the safest place to be at this time.
By the mercies of God, none of us will miss Heaven. May we today, receive the grace for renewed fire on our prayer altar, diligent study of God’s Word and unbroken fellowship with the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER; Lord, please help me to understand the times and seasons. Please grant me the grace to watch and pray always. Thank You Lord for renewed appetite for Your Word and fresh fire on my prayer altar in Jesus Name.

JANUARY 15; CONQUERING THROUGH PRAYER..

Deuteronomy 2:24 (MSG)
“Here’s Sihon the Amorite king of Heshbon and his land. I’m handing it over to you—it’s all yours. Go ahead, take it. Go to war with him. Before the day is out, I’ll make sure that all the people around here are thoroughly terrified.”

DAILY READING; Acts 19:1-20; Judges 10:1-11:33; Job 39

John Nelson Hyde was an American missionary who answered the call to serve God in India in 1892. He ministered in what is today northern India and Pakistan. At that time, he was one of only five missionaries in a territory of nearly one million unbelievers. The spiritual resistance to his mission work was so much that initially despite all his efforts he had no converts. In addition, he suffered great persecutions.

Realizing that he desperately needed divine help, he began to pray very intensely. So deep was his prayer life that by 1899 he began spending entire nights face down before God.
Eventually God answered the prayers, and the work began to progress. Hyde led many men to Christ in the Punjab region where he served.
However, his enemies and persecutors were not happy. The local leaders of the town, sought for ways to discredit him. They sent a man to pretend to be a believer and stay with Hyde in the hope of finding something evil in his life which they could use to taint his image.
Not knowing his intentions, Hyde warmly received the man. He stayed certain days with Hyde sleeping in his home and eating meals with him. However, the consistent prayer life of John Hyde generated so much power, that one day this man became overwhelmed and ran out of the house screaming and confessing.
The enemies’ plan to smear Hyde had failed woefully. He continued to pray so much that he came to be known as ‘Praying Hyde’.
The results of his much prayers were plainly seen in the wave of revival that swept through Punjab and the rest of India. Great anointing, miracles, signs and wonders followed his ministry, bringing many souls into God’s kingdom.

Through prayer, John Hyde overcame the plots of his enemies and experienced tremendous success.
Truly, without contention, there cannot be possession.
This year, God has set the land before you, but you must contend in prayers to take possession.
The truth is that what you do not confront you cannot conquer. What you do not pursue you cannot possess. Your level of welfare is determined by your level of warfare.
We must therefore be aggressive in our faith and actions to see God’s purpose and plan for our life fulfilled.
It is true we have a great heritage in Christ and God wants to use us to perform signs and wonders., however, we must be willing to fight on our knees to see God’s plan fulfilled.
There are forces that will try to resist your every move and keep you stagnant. If you don’t engage in spiritual warfare, you may not understand the reason for your lack of progress. But when you begin to generate fire in prayer, even hidden enemies will be exposed and flee.
Therefore to succeed in life, you must be ready to fight.
Don’t be complacent about your destiny or say, “What will be will be”.
Life will always answer to valiant spiritual warriors who will battle on their knees. Certainly, there is no victory without a fight.
Every destiny that will manifest in signs and wonders, requires the price of prayer and fasting, combined with faith in God’s Word.
As we engage in fasting and praying, there is a breaking forth of light that flushes out every force of darkness.
Certainly in this season, as we take our position in prayer, every opposition will be conquered and we will see the manifestation of Heavens agenda of wonder for us in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the power You have made available to me through the prayer altar. I receive the grace to persevere in this season of fasting so as to see the victory You have ordained for me in Jesus Name.

JANUARY 14; GOD WORKS WONDERS THROUGH PRAYERS

Isaiah 40:31 ‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.’

DAILY READING; Acts 18; Judges 9; Job 38

The rise of Adolf Hitler and the outbreak of World War II sent a tremor of terror across Europe. As Hitler’s focus turned on conquering Britain in 1940, very little stood in his way. However, when all hope seemed lost, God used a company of intercessors, to stand in the gap for the deliverance of Britain.
Rees Howells was the founder of The Bible College of Wales.
The College was a training ground for young missionaries and also a base for intercessory prayer. While the physical war raged, they waged fierce spiritual warfare against Hitler.
Through all the years of the war, the whole College was in prayer every morning, mid-day, evening and midnight. Some days were wholly given to prayer and fasting.
In May, 1940, Hitler’s blitzkrieg began to roll across France and the Low Countries. As news of Hitler’s advance came over the radio and in the newspapers each day, Rees Howell remained confident that God would deliver Britain. He gave public predictions of victory that were often published in the Western Mail and other Newspapers.
As Rees and his company of intercessors continued to press into prayer, something mysterious happened. At a time when Hitler’s army had surrounded retreating British soldiers and their allies at Dunkirk, and were pressing in to finish them off, suddenly for no reason, Hitler overruled his generals and halted the attack. This gave thousands of British soldiers and allies opportunity to escape and eventually re-strategize for the full assault that defeated Hitler in 1945.
Till date, historians still have no clear explanation why Hitler stopped his attack, but Rees Howell and his army of intercessors knew undoubtedly that the power of God engaged through prayers had stopped the enemy in his tracks.

Indeed God works wonders through prayers. No matter how formidable any enemy advancing against you, when you persist in prayers, God will stop the enemy in his tracks.
Challenges are real to life. And sometimes it may seem as if the forces coming against you are greater than what you can handle. But God has given us the power of prayer to wage war against every enemy of our destiny and crush every opposition to our advancement.
With the great prophecy of wonder spoken over us this year, the enemy would try everything to stop the fulfillment.
However, through waiting upon The Lord in fasting and prayers, we can stop the enemy’s attempt to resist Heaven’s agenda.
Prayer is the key that unlocks the gates of Heaven and closes the gates of Hell. Through prayer the enemy’s plots are shattered and Heaven’s plans prevail.
If you truly want to see miracles, signs and wonders, then you must pray. Great and mighty things happen when we exercise the awesome privilege of prayer.
When Moses prayed, the Red Sea parted and God made a way for His people through the mighty waters. When Joshua prayed, the sun and the moon stood still for almost 24 hours and Israel won the battle against their enemies.
Also as we pray in this season, certainly we shall see amazing signs and wonders of God. Through the power of prayer we will stop every enemy of our destiny and enforce the fulfilment of Heaven’s agenda for us this year.
Certainly we do not wait for prophecies; we war with them. And as we war a good warfare this season, we shall see inexplicable miracles in our lives.
It is important that we pray according to Scriptures because Prayers based on what is written receives Heaven’s priority treatment. Also as we engage the power of praise, God will certainly arise to scatter every spiritual gang-up against us and establish our victory in every battle.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for granting me the grace to engage the power of prayer in this season. As I wait upon You, let my strength be renewed to mount up to greater heights of exploits and glory in Jesus Name.

Mark 16:17-18 says ” And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

DAILY READING; • Acts 17:16-34; Judges 7-8; Job 37

On March 30, 1970, a horse was born that belonged to American sportswoman, Penny Chenery. She named the horse ‘Secretariat’, and planned to put it in horse races.
However, some of the initial trainers of this horse thought it was clumsy and lacked the potentials for winning races. But despite their doubts, Penny Chenery, remained confident that Secretariat would be a winner. Her confidence stemmed from the fact that Secretariat was fathered by a winning horse named ‘Bold Ruler’, who had won several races and was named Horse of the Year in 1957. Bold ruler possessed both speed and stamina and at that time was the leading sire in North America.
Penny Chenery was so confident that Secretariat would one day be a winner, that she staked virtually all she had financially on this horse.
She was not disappointed. By the time Secretariat was three years old in 1973, it became the first horse in 25 years to win the Triple Crown. Secretariat went on to set world records in horse racing. In 1974, it was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

In 1999, Secretariat was the only non-human included among ESPN’s 50 greatest athletes of the century.

It also became the first thoroughbred to be honored with its own U.S. Postal stamp.
In 2010, a blockbuster movie titled ‘Secretariat’ was released which was based on the true story of this legendary horse.

As believers we are born for signs and wonder, by virtue of our spiritual parentage. We carry the DNA of the Almighty wonder- working God!

Horse owners understand that winning horses don’t randomly happen, it is in their DNA. When a horse comes from a bloodline of champions, though it may initially appear weak, the DNA of a winner within it will eventually manifest.

Likewise,as a believer, though outwardly you may not sometimes look like a winner, inwardly you have the blood of a champion running in your veins.
Therefore it doesn’t matter your current situation or the challenges that may sometimes surround you, what matters is that you have within you what it takes to manifest as a wonder to the world.

At Calvary, Christ shed His Blood to give us the power to live as wonders on the earth. His Blood was not shed in vain, it was shed to give us the divine enablement to have permanent victory over life’s circumstances.
Therefore understand that you are born to dominate over every challenge. You are born to overcome sickness, poverty, barrenness, stagnancy and every negative condition. As a believer, wherever you go, signs and wonders are meant to follow you.

Mark 16:17-18 says ” And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Certainly, redemption has positioned you to become a living wonder. Therefore today, by the power in the Blood of Jesus, whatever cannot be termed ‘wonderful’ is disconnected from you. By the Blood, wherever you go, your life will indeed be a sign and wonder to everyone around you.

PRAYER: Father please help me to begin to live in the consciousness that I am born as a sign and wonder to my generation. Today, by the Blood of Jesus I claim my victory over everything challenging my wonderful destiny in Jesus Name.

JANUARY 12; MIRACLE POWER OF PRAYER..

Mark 11:24 ‘Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.’

DAILY READING; • Day 126 – Acts 17:1-15; Judges 6; Job 36

Reinhard Bonnke, the founder of Christ for all Nations (CfAN) is regarded as the father of modern-day crusades in Africa. It is estimated that over 79 million people converted to Christianity as a result of his ministry.
In the early 1980’s Bonnke needed a fleet of eighteen specially-built, 6-wheel-drive trucks to transport his massive crusade tents across Africa. These trucks would be the kind that could not get stuck in mud roads and which could take off cross-country when there were no roads.
However these trucks which were specially manufactured in Germany were estimated at $4 million. It was money which Bonnke did not have. But Bonnke knew the power of prayer. As he prayed, God provided the needed trucks miraculously from unexpected quarters.
Unknown to Bonnke, the Libyan revolutionary leader, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi had also ordered the exact fleet of specially-designed trucks that Bonnke needed.
However, due to Gaddafi’s support of terrorism, his country Libya had been placed under trade embargoes by Western countries. And so Gaddafi had to secretly use third-party purchasing agents to order the trucks from West Germany.
When the West German government learned that the buyer was Gaddafi, they stopped the sale. The manufacturers, eager to sell off these specially designed trucks, put them on the market for a give away price.

When Bonnke got the information he was able to raise the money and purchased the trucks at a ridiculously low price.. And so he suddenly had the special transportation to carry his revival tent. These trucks originally designed for Gaddafi, to carry rockets and bombs, became an instrument for carrying the Gospel across Africa.

When we sincerely cry out to God in prayer, He can cause help to arise from strange quarters.
Indeed the altar of prayer is the altar of turnarounds. Prayer is the platform for provoking divine interventions.
Through prayer you can overturn every resistance to your progress and enforce a supernatural change of story.
God has called us unto glory and virtue, and not to shame. You are a candidate for a glorious life. You are born a wonder to your world. You are not meant to be stranded. Thing are meant to always work for you.
Whatever tries to hinder your forward movement can be silenced when you assume the responsibility of prayer.
Your becoming a wonder this year will not be accidental. It will be the result of deliberately assuming spiritual responsibility. The truth is that if you do nothing, you will see nothing. But through prayer you can fight your way into the fulfillment of the prophecies spoken over you.
Already the race for this year has begun. The whistle has been blown. What you do now will determine if you will indeed end up as a wonder.
Therefore, now is the time to pay the price to see a glorious year. Fasting may seem unpalatable but it is a necessary price. Therefore do not limit what God can do in your life by limiting your spiritual responsibility.
Be prepared to seek God in a new and greater dimension through diligent study of His Word and prayers. Make a greater commitment to live holy, to walk in purity and in power. And always remain thankful and praise-full.
Indeed as we pray the required spiritual price in this season, our lives will surely become a wonder to everyone around us.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for granting me the grace to become spiritually responsible. Surely, as I pay the price of fasting and praying in this season, I know I shall see inexplicable miracles, signs and wonders manifesting in my life in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY READING; • Day 125 – Acts 16:16-40; Judges 4-5; Job 35

When American evangelist, Billy Graham, was to hold his first crusade in Britain in 1954, it was surrounded in controversy. Questions were asked in Parliament as to whether he should be allowed to land in Britain, newspapers were against the visit, church leaders who had earlier given him an invitation backed down – the Archbishop of Canterbury told him he wasn’t welcome. The American Ambassador warned him not to come to Britain.
However Billy Graham was someone who knew how to wield the power of God through praying and fasting. He often said “there are three secrets to my ministry. The first is prayer; the second is prayer; and the third is prayer.”
And so with great oppositions lined up against his crusade in Britain, Billy went into praying and fasting. Through the power of prayer, the closed doors were opened for him to hold the crusade.
From March 1st to May 22nd 1954 attendance at the crusade in London topped 2,047,333 with around 38,000 decisions for Christ. The success God gave Billy Graham brought great revival to Britain. This London crusade marked the expansion of his evangelical ministry to global proportions.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister of Britain, Winston Churchill summoned Billy Graham and asked him his secret to filling Wembley stadium to capacity with people; a feat, he as Prime Minister could not accomplish.
However it had all happened through Billy Graham engaging the power of praying and fasting.

In his 2006 book, ‘The Journey,’ Billy Graham gives this advice: “Every man or woman whose life has ever counted for God has been a person of prayer. ,those who made the greatest impact for God were those who prayed the most.”

Indeed for a Christian to be successful in life and ministry, prayer is a great necessity. To become a sign and wonder to our world, we need to know how to wield the power of God through paying the price of fasting and prayer.
Each time a great and effectual door opens before us, there will often be many adversaries. Open doors certainly attracts oppositions. However how we deal with these resistance to our progress will often define us. The price we are prepared to pay will show our readiness for our next level.
Fasting and praying is a non-negotiable spiritual price for our rising. Many times why certain heights remain unattainable despite all efforts is because the key of fasting has not been applied.
When Jesus’ disciples asked Him why they could not cure the lunatic, He said: ‘Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting’. (Matthew 17:21).
Jesus was saying essentially that they had not yet paid the required price to take delivery of the miracle they wanted to see.
Therefore for us to see the prophecy of wonder fulfilled this year, let us be prepared to engage the power of fasting and prayer.
As we willingly pay the price, God will indeed do great and mighty things with us this year. We shall be seeing signs and wonders like never before. No matter the things that try to resist our progress, the power of God will give us a forceful turnaround that will push us to our glorious next level of destiny.

PRAYER: Lord I thank You for the grace to engage in fasting and praying so as to move higher to my new level of destiny. I know that indeed every test will turn into a testimony for me in this season in Jesus Name.

JANUARY 10; BE A WONDER BY SHOWING LOVE

Romans 12:9-10, ‘Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor..’[ESV]

DAILY READING • Day 124 – Acts 16:1-15; Judges 2-3; Job 34-

In 1854, Kimball was a Sunday School teacher in Detroit. One day he went to visit a 17 year-old boy who was in his Sunday School class who had little interest in God or religion. That young man was D.L. Moody. At the time, Moody did not understand the Gospel. However, when his Sunday school teacher went the extra mile to visit him at the shoe factory where he worked and carefully explained to him the Gospel, Moody gave his life to Christ.
Moody went on to become one of the greatest evangelists in the world, sharing the gospel with 100 million people, as well as founding Moody Bible Institute and The Moody Church in Chicago.
But the story doesn’t end there. Through his ministry, Moody was responsible for a London pastor named F.B. Meyer coming to faith. Meyer was responsible for J. Wilbur Chapman coming to faith, and Chapman influenced Billy Sunday, another prominent evangelist of the 20th century. Billy Sunday was integral in a man named Mordecai Ham coming to faith. And Mordecai Ham was the preacher responsible for leading a young man named Billy Graham to Christ.
No one may hear the name of Moody’s Sunday school teacher, Edward Kimball, but he played a crucial role in the birthing of these great ministries.

Indeed Edward Kimball’s story reminds us to never underestimate the influence you can have on the world by affecting the life of just one person. He was a mere school teacher but the ripple effect of his showing love and sharing the Gospel with D.L Moody, continues to affect lives, even today.
It is true that God intends to turn us into signs and wonders, but while you may be looking for something big and spectacular, God can begin to use you even where you are right now.
You may not be a great preacher or great evangelist, but you can make a crucial difference by positively affecting those around you. When you decide to do the very best you can with what you have, you can indeed make a big difference.
Many times people wait for big breaks, but big breaks may never come except you start first with the small steps. When you decide to simply reflect the love of Christ to all who come your way, you are already becoming a wonder.
The truth is that people are passing through all manner of problems and challenges in a world where nobody seems to care. So when they see you offer love and a helping hand, to them you are a wonder.
A seed of a sharing the Gospel, giving words of upliftment and encouragement can become a turning point in the life of someone else.
It may seem a small thing to do, but you may never know the extent to which that little seed may grow and influence generations.
When we decide to do our best in whatever role God has called us, we will certainly become a wonder to the world.
In this season, let us spiritually position ourselves through study of the Word and prayers to be used by God to make an eternal impact on the world.

PRAYER: Lord, please use me to positively affect lives around me. I know that when I am impacted by You, I will be empowered to impact others. Therefore please help me to adhere daily to Your Word, so that I can walk in Your ways in Jesus Name. .
