SEPTEMBER 9; ENGAGING HEAVEN’S INTERVENTION..

1 John 5:14-15 ‘And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

DAILY READING; • Luke 7:18-50; Genesis 11; Psalm 5

A time in human history when the entire world seemed united in prayer over a global drama was in April 1970.
This was when the Apollo 13 spacecraft had an accident after taking off on a mission to the moon.
At 200,000 miles from the earth, an oxygen tank exploded, irreparably damaging the craft. The explosion caused a loss of the oxygen store within 3 hours, along with loss of water and electrical power. It also made the interior atmosphere dangerous to the lives of the three astronauts on board.

The astronauts radioed back to the Mission Control in Houston, Texas, with the now famous words “Houston, We Have A Problem,”.
Once it was made public that the astronauts were in grave danger, people across the world began to pray for their safety.
Thousands prayed in New York City’s Times Square, at Chicago’s Board of Trade, at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, and the Pope led 50,000 people in prayers at the Vatican.
President Richard Nixon asked the American nation to observe a Day of Prayer and the Senate passed resolutions asking all Americans to pray. As people all over the world prayed, miracles began to unfold on the spacecraft.
Unusual data appeared on the computer screen that showed the astronauts how to deal with the problem. From this information the astronauts were able to fashion a makeshift device to stabilize their Oxygen level, a technique they were never taught in engineering school. For the device to work, it importantly required a duct tape, but it was an item not expected to be in the spacecraft. Yet, miraculously, a worker had left behind a roll of duct tape on board.
Eventually, the crew managed to steer the spaceship back to earth and safely landed in the ocean.. Their survival was a miracle that made believers out of many scientists at NASA. One of them, Jerry Woodfill, who gave hiis life to Christ as a result, later wrote the book ‘Space Acts’, chronicling the miracles of God in space missions.

The greatest power human beings possess is the power to influence earth from Heaven through prayer.
Through prayer we invite Heavenly interference in our earthly affairs.
Indeed God causes things to happen on earth when men and women pray in agreement with His will. Prayer is the weapon that God has given us to enforce His Will on earth.

Something supernatural happens whenever men pray. Our prayer puts a demand on Heaven and causes angels to go to work.
We can have whatever we desire in accordance with God’s Word through the awesome privilege of prayer.

Mark 11:24 tells us ‘What things so ever you desire when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them’

This promise of God is an open cheque. It means that whatever we can commit to pray about, God is committed to answering us.
With this understanding, let us therefore begin to utilize the power of prayer to see the miracles we desire.
Certainly, through steadfast prayers the Holy Spirit will move mightly in our midst to manifest signs and wonders.

To live a victorious life, prayer is indeed a necessity. We must travail in prayers in order to prevail in life. We must kneel in prayer to stand in victory.
Therefore in this season, let us make a fresh commitment to a lifestyle of consistent prayers, coupled with study of the Word and worship.
Surely, as remain fervent in spirit, we will reap a harvest of amazing miracles in all our endeavors.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to persevere in the place of prayer until my answer comes,. Please help me never to grow weary but to persist until I receive the wonders You have ordained for me in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 8; DIVINE IMMUNITY BY THE BLOOD.

John 6:48-57 ‘I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.’

DAILY READING; Luke 6:27-49; Genesis 6:1-7:24; Psalm 3

Pastor John Hagee is a well known televangelist and the founder of John Hagee Ministries. He is also the founder and chairman of Christians United for Israel[CUFI].
He was born in April 12, 1940 to a father who was a pastor and a mother who was a Church administrator.
John Hagee’s mother, Vada Mildred Hagee was a woman of faith who served as administrator for the three churches pastored by her husband in their 50 years of marriage.
Her life of spirituality greatly impacted her children.
Pastor John Hagee said that when he was younger, he would often hear his mother’s voice lifted in prayers.
She was such a diligent student of the Word that sometimes, while doing dishes she would keep her Bible by the kitchen window so she could be memorizing verses. She was able to memorize whole books from the Bible, like the book of James.
Pastor John Hagee said sometimes he could walk in where she had been praying and meditating and the atmosphere would be Heavenly.
She remained strong spiritually and physically even while she was aging.
When she was 90 years, she was still very agile and healthy. One day, Pastor Hagee asked her, “Mom, you have wonderful health. You’re 90 years of age. What’s the reason”? She said without hesitation, “It’s the healing power of the Holy Communion”.
Indeed for most of her life after her salvation, she always took the communion because of its supernatural impact.
She lived to a ripe old age and died at almost 99 years old.. At the time of her death in 2012, she had 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Indeed the communion is the most powerful medication for any believer and holds the key to walking in supernatural health and victory.
It was instituted by Jesus Christ Himself and given as direct revelation to Apostle Paul for the divine health of believers.
It is God’s divine strategy for our deliverance from sickness and infirmities.
One of the glaring signs of the end-times is increase in pestilence, plagues and diseases. Already we are seeing a manifestation of these in the recent pandemic and growing threat of other new diseases.

The Holy Communion is a mystery and it is also a miracle meal designed to protect us from these plagues.

The Blood of Jesus Christ is God’s strategy for man’s deliverance and victory.
Eating the flesh of Christ and drinking His Blood gives us divine immunity and guarantees our security from the evil in the world.
Partaking of the communion revives our body and keeps us healthy as we serve the Lord. Even as we grow older, through the power in the Blood, our strength is maintained.
No sickness or disease is able to survive in our body because the same power that raised Christ from the grave quickens our mortal body.

In the Old Testament, the Israelites while in the wilderness ate the Manna from Heaven and they were strong with no feeble person among them (Psalm 105:37). Under the New covenant, Jesus is the bread of life from Heaven. And as we partake of His flesh and blood, no feebleness or sickness can be found in us.
Indeed the Holy Communion is God’s ordained channel for ensuring we live well and finish strong in our race on earth.

However, it is our understanding of the communion that determines our benefit from it. The Bible says that those who eat it unworthily and without discernment eat to themselves damnation.
This means that to receive the full benefits of the communion, we must ensure we are in the right place with God, and walking in obedience to His will.
When we do this, then the mystery of the communion turns us into a wonder as we.keep waxing in supernatural health despite the plagues in the world.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the divine health and deliverance that You have ordained for me through the mystery of the communion. Indeed by the Blood of Jesus I am preserved and delivered from every evil in the world in Jesus Name. .. ..

SEPTEMBER 7; PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!

James 5:16(AMP)
“The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”

DAILY READING; • Luke 6:1-26; Genesis 3-5; Psalm 2

St. Patrick is one of Christianity’s most widely known figures. He was a missionary, bishop and apostle of Ireland.

Though he died over 1,500 years ago, the day of his death, March 17, continues to be widely celebrated as St. Patrick’s Day.

Patrick was born in Britain in A.D. 390. He was raised in a wealthy Christian family, but as a young boy, he had no interest in God.
At the age of 16, he was kidnapped by thugs and taken hostage on a ship to Ireland. For six agonizing years, he was trapped as a slave and forced into labor.
In his captivity, Patrick began to cry out to God to rescue him.
He would later write of his ordeal, “I would pray constantly during the daylight hours”.
As he persisted in prayers, one day, he had a dream, where he heard God say to him: “Your hunger is rewarded. You are going home. Look, your ship is ready.”
Encouraged by this revelation, Patrick risked his life and escaped, journeying some 200 miles to the Irish coast where he boarded a ship that took him back to Britain.
His return to his parents was a big miracle. Having been transformed by the grace of God, Patrick now desired to serve God and eventually became a priest.
About 30 years after his abduction, Patrick sensed God stirring his heart to go back to the pagan land of Ireland where he had been enslaved to evangelize the people.
History records that on his return to Ireland, Patrick was beaten by thugs and harassed by Irish royalty, however, he persevered in proclaiming the Gospel.
God blessed him mightily and multitudes were converted and hundreds of churches were established. The Irish nation was transformed as many turned away from paganism to seek the true and living God..

When Patrick sought God in his captivity, . God did not only deliver him but exceeded his expectations and used him greatly in his generation.
Some of the fires we pass through in life are actually there to help revive us and usher is into a higher level of destiny.
God does not bring the temptations, but He turns around what the enemy meant for evil and uses it for our good.
Therefore, times of trials should draw us into intercession for Heavenly intervention because prayer changes things.

James 5:16(AMP) says that the earnest heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available which is dynamic in its working.

Prayer shifts things in the spirit realm to establish victory for us in the physical realm.
It doesn’t matter how negative things may look around you, through consistent and persistent prayers, you can spiritually re-organize your circumstances.
A believer who knows the power of prayer can never be stranded in life.
Through spiritual tenacity, you can break down every resistance and overcome all oppositions.

Jesus said that whatsoever we desire, when we pray and believe, we shall receive. ‘Whatsoever’ means there is no situation you cannot handle through prayer.
Therefore, to win our battles, we must accept spiritual responsibility. Every man is limited to the extent of his spiritual commitment. If we will pray the price, we will get our victory.

The believers who will stand in these last days are those who know how to go on their knees. Through spending quality time in study of the Word, prayer and praise we will be positioned for continuous victory.

Life is in phases and we must be prepared to battle on our knees to see the glory God ordained for each phase.
You must understand that the enemy fights what he fears and he fights the hardest when he knows God is about to promote you.
Those times when all the odds seem stacked against you, are often the times you are about to see a greater level of destiny.

Therefore, you must refuse to become weary or discouraged because your due season may be just around the corner. As you persist in prayers, it is only a matter of time before you soon see the glorious new level of destiny God has ordained for you.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to pay the price of spending quality time in Your Word and prayers so that my faith can be strengthened to see the wonders You have ordained for me in this season. Thank You Lord for always exceeding my expectations in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 6; REVIVAL FOR SURVIVAL!

2 Chronicles 7:14 ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’

DAILY READING – Luke 5:27-39; Genesis 1:1-2:25; Psalm 1

In 1940, a historic prayer movement began in the United Kingdom, that was called ‘The Silent Minute’.
This was a moment dedicated to prayers at the time of the Second World War when Hitler’s onslaught pushed the people to begin to desperately seek God.
‘The Silent Minute’ prayer movement received the direct support of King of England, the British Prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill and the U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
People were asked to devote one minute of prayer for the war at nine o’clock each evening.
From November 10, 1940, the BBC began to play the bells of Big Ben on the radio daily as a signal for the Silent Minute to begin.
‘The Silent Minute’ was observed on land, at sea, on the battlefields, homes, bomb shelters, hospitals and everywhere.
Eventually the Allied forces won the victory and defeated Hitler’s army.
The profound role played by the Silent Minute prayers became evident in a revealing statement made by a high placed Nazi officer. When British intelligence officers interrogated him and asked him why he thought Germany lost the war, his reply was, “During the war, you had a secret weapon for which we could find no counter measure, which we did not understand, but it was very powerful. It was associated with the striking of the Big Ben each evening. I believe you called it the ‘Silent Minute.’
Obviously, the Nazis recognized the great power released daily through the corporate prayers. Though Hitler had the capacity to have won the war, yet the power of united prayers helped to stop his plan of destruction.

We will have the victory in every war when we begin to exercise the power of God available to us on the altar of prayer.
Today, many nations are facing tremendous challenges in the area of security, health, economy etc. In certain African nations, the security situation has become alarming with various incidences of killings, kidnappings and violence.
As believers in such nations, we can engage the power of God, as we humble ourselves through prayers to stop the onslaught of the enemy.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land..’

Indeed we can experience healing in our lands when we make a commitment to pay the price of prayer.
In these last days, as the battle gets hotter, there is an urgent need for revival. Indeed we need revival for survival!
Revival is not just for the Church but every believer because it is personal Revival that produces corporate Revival.
The church is only as hot as the individual members that make up the body.

Indeed it is God’s plan for every believer to be so fervent in prayers, that His house will be called of all nations, the house of prayer.

Just as the early Church experienced mighty power, God is getting ready for a mighty move of His power upon the earth.
It was when 120 believers waited and prayed in the upper room that Heaven opened and the Holy Ghost came down with fire.
In these last days, God is raising up a mighty army of Blood-washed, Holy Ghost filled, fire-baptized, tongue-talking, sin-hating, Jesus-loving Believers.
God gave us a picture of this great army in Joel 2. It is through this great company of believers that God ’s power will sweep through the earth to make His enemies His footstool.
For us to be part of this great move we must rightly position ourselves individually through accepting spiritual responsibility .
The Power of God only comes on those who pray.
As we begin to call upon God in prayer we will see the tables turned upon the enemies of the Church. Their financial power and weapons of war will be no match for the superior power of the Holy Ghost.
As we begin to release the power of God through prayer in our corporate gatherings and personal altars, surely, an end will come to the wicked in our nations and we will emerge victorious in every conflict.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to accept spiritual responsibility, so that I can be victorious in every battle. Please help me to pay the necessary price to see Your fire and power upon my life in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 5; SHINE YOUR LIGHT!

Matthew 5:16 ‘Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.’

DAILY READING • Luke 5:27-39; Genesis 1:1-2:25; Psalm 1

Kovalam, is a coastal village in the southern district of mainland India. It was one of the towns that was hit the hardest by the 2004 tsunami, but amazingly no life was lost because of an alert Christian priest in the town named Susai Antony.
When the priest noticed the first waves of the tsunami sweeping in, he lost no time in making announcements through the public announcement system, alerting people to immediately vacate their coastal houses. When some people seemed reluctant to heed his warnings, the priest himself went down the seashore and began to force them to move to safety.
As he was frantically hurrying residents of the village away from the shore, the waves struck again and the priest was pulled in by the water. Though people initially thought he had drowned, however, he survived by clinging to the concrete structure of a house.
In the aftermath of the tsunami, about 180 houses and many boats in the coastal village were destroyed or washed away by the invading waves. But all the residents were safe.
This was not case in the villages around them where many lives were lost because they received no early warning of the incoming waves. However, the people of Kovalam village miraculously escaped because of one man’s commitment to warn them and lead them to safety.

God has called us as saviors to give men warning and deliver them from the waves of death and destruction sweeping through the world.
God’s ultimate purpose is to have all men saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. And God has sent us into the world as His agents of deliverance.

Today, it indeed seems as if an evil tsunami is trapping many in its massive waves. There is an influx of iniquity in the world, like never seen before, and many people are being deceived and derailed from their purpose and destiny.
As believers who know the truth we cannot simply fold our hands while many are being trapped in these perilous times.
We have a responsibility to shine the light of the Gospel into the world and help lead men out of the increasing darkness.
As believers, we are called to be watchmen on the wall to stand in the gap and intercede in prayers.

Ezekiel 22:30,31 says ‘And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.’

In these last days, we should make ourselves available to be used by God to save the souls of the perishing.
The coming of Jesus caused the people which sat in darkness to see a great light; and those who sat in the region and shadow of death were saved by His light.[ Matthew 4:16]
And as the Father sent Jesus, so has He sent us.
Today, we have been sent into the dark places of the world to make a difference. In our homes, families, communities, offices, we are sent to serve as God’s agents of deliverance.
However, we cannot give what we don’t have. We must be revived, before we can attempt to revive others.
We must therefore accept the spiritual responsibility of a consistent lifestyle of prayers, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit so as to keep our fire burning. By so doing we will save both ourselves and the souls of many from perishing in the spiritual tsunami that is currently sweeping through the earth in these last days.

PRAYER; Father, please help me to accept the spiritual responsibility of prayers and study of the Word so that my life will be revived to carry Your fire. Wherever I go please help me to brightly shine Your light to save the lost in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 4; POWER TO SUBDUE OPPOSITIONS…

Psalm 66:3 ‘Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.’

DAILY READING – – Luke 5:1-26; Ezekiel 48; Isaiah 66

Maria Woodworth-Etter was one of the most influential Pentecostal Evangelists of the early 1900s. .She was an outstanding preacher of the Gospel and among the first women to emerge as a Holiness preacher.
Supernatural signs accompanied her ministry including people that fell into trances, and experienced visions of heaven and hell. Thousands were healed of a wide variety of sicknesses and diseases. Entire towns became positively affected by her ministry. The manifestations of the Holy Ghost attracted up to 25.000 attendees per night to her meetings.
However, as Maria’s fame grew, there arose critics and enemies who opposed her ministry. But those who came to condemn, or harass Maria, often ended up being stopped by God’s Power.
She often said “I have been in great dangers; many times not knowing when I would be shot down, either in the pulpit, or going to and from meetings…But I said I would never run, nor compromise. The Lord would always put His mighty power on me, so that He took all fear away, and made me like a giant…If in any way they had tried to shoot, or kill me, He would have struck them dead…”
One of the people stopped by God’s power was a man who came to her meeting intent on disrupting it. He headed for the altar shouting vulgarity and cursing. But ten feet from the altar, the power of God suddenly gripped his vocal chords, and his voice ceased and he couldn’t go any further.
Through such great manifestations of power, God effectively silenced all the oppositions against her ministry.
Maria’s commitment and dedication influenced such great heroes of the faith as Smith Wigglesworth, Aimee Semple McPherson, John Alexander Dowie, John G. Lake, E.W. Kenyon, F.F. Bosworth, and Kathryn Kuhlman.
.
1 Corinthians 16:9 says ‘For a great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adversaries’.

Every great destiny will be confronted with great battles.
As a child of God you have a great position in Christ, and so naturally you will attract great oppositions.
However, whenever you are challenged, you need to know how to engage the Power of God to silence the enemy. The opposition is angry with your position, and you cannot afford to let them have their way. You must therefore fight the good fight of faith. The encroachment of darkness in this end times has made it necessary for Christians to be ready to do battle. It is only when you resist the devil that he will flee from you.
Our enemies are invisible forces[Ephesians 6:12]. Though they often use people as their agents, our real enemies are the invisible forces of wickedness. And because they are invisible, they can only be confronted with superior invisible force. This is why we need the power of God. The Holy Ghost is the carrier, and transmitter of the invisible power of God.

Isaiah.59:19 says ‘So shall they fear The Name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.’

The force of the enemy must bow to the superior power of The Holy Ghost. Wherever The Holy Ghost is in operation, no enemy can stand. Therefore we must engage The Power of The Holy Ghost so as to keep triumphing over every opposition.
And to engage the Power of The Holy Ghost, you must submit to a lifestyle of prayers and consistent Study of The Word. There is no shortcut to power.
To win in the battles of life, you must accept spiritual responsibility. Every man is limited to the extent of his spiritual commitment. Therefore make up your mind to increase your power level through renewed fellowship with the Holy Ghost.
As you do, certainly, through the great manifestation of God’s Power in your life, every enemy of your great destiny will be subdued.

PRAYER: Lord, by the power of Your Spirit, let everything contesting my glorious destiny be silenced forever in Jesus Name. Please grant me the grace to take spiritual responsibility, so that I can be victorious in every battle in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 3; DO NOT GROW WEARY.

DAILY READING; • Luke 4:31-44; Ezekiel 46-47; Isaiah 65

Gladys May Aylward was a housemaid who despite her little education, went on to become one of the greatest British missionaries to China.
Most missionaries often go through formal training and have mission organizations that support them, but Gladys Aylward had none of those things.
When she was 26 years old she had applied to the Chinese Inland Mission to serve as a missionary, but she was rejected by the Board for failing in her classes. They did not believe she was capable of learning the Chinese language to enable her communicate in China.
But despite the rejection, Gladys remained strong in her conviction that God had called her to serve in China.
Her determination to answer the call made her to overcome the various challenges that came her way.
Without the support of any missionary organization, she raised money through working as a maid and travelled to China in 1930. Her journey there was fraught with danger and included travel through a war zone, trekking on foot through the Siberian forest and almost being captured.
When she finally arrived in China, it was at a time of great political upheaval, when many people in the country faced dire poverty.
Gladys opened an orphanage where she took care of many poor children. She eventually earned the love and trust of many Chinese people and they gave her the title “Ai-weh-deh” which means “virtuous one”.
When the local government leader needed someone to help him enforce the country’s new law against the ancient practice of foot binding, he called on Gladys. This enabled her to travel all throughout the countryside, sharing the Gospel with all whom she encountered. Gladys spent her lifetime serving in the mission field and greatly impacted many lives for Christ.
Her story is captured in the book ‘Small woman with a big God’ and it was made into the film ‘The Inn of the Sixth Happiness’ produced by Twentieth Century Fox.

When you are called by God, you have to be ready to fight battles. Indeed the road to Canaan is full of giants.

For every one appointed by God, there’s already an opposition lined up by the enemy.
For every David, there’s a goliath, for every Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, there is a fiery furnace and for every Daniel, there is a lion’s den.

But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. You may be challenged, but through Christ you are destined to always overcome.

Therefore, no matter how difficult the journey, be determined to always follow God’s will for your life. Though you may sometimes pass through the water and the fire, eventually God will bring you out into your wealthy place.
It doesn’t matter how great the oppositions, when God is on your side you are on the winning side.

Despite the challenges, do not give in to discouragement or weariness.
As you persist in welldoing in due season you will surely reap, if you don’t faint.[Galatians 6:9]

As you stay faithful, you will indeed be fruitful. Your persistence will soon wear down every resistance. Through the adversity, God will cause you to reap prosperity.

The fire that was meant to burn you will only end up birthing revival in your life
From that situation that looks like a mess today, God will give you a message. From your misery, you will receive a ministry.
Indeed what looks like a setback is only a divine setup.
God is working behind the scenes to cause all things to work for your good.
Just position yourself rightly by drawing closer to God through obedience to His Word.
And as you keep pressing forward in His high calling, it is only a matter of time before you reap a harvest of miracles, signs and wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for causing me to be an overcomer in every conflict. Thank You for the practical manifestations of victory in every area of my life today. Indeed through Christ I am more than a conqueror in Jesus Name.

Psalms 126: 1-2 ‘When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.’

DAILY READING – Luke 4:1-30; Ezekiel 44-45; Isaiah 64

Dr. Ben Carson, in his book ‘Gifted hands” shared how God miraculously helped him to pass a crucial examination.
As a freshman at Yale University, Ben Carson fell behind in his chemistry class. On the night before the final exam, he knew he was going to fail. This would mean dropping out of the pre-med program and dashing his dream of ever becoming a medical doctor.
That night, his soul cried out in desperation to God. He prayed to God to perform a miracle that would help him pass the exam. After the prayer, Ben felt an inexplicable peace, he had faith that God would somehow intervene.

As he pored through his thick chemistry textbook, he soon fell into a deep asleep. While he slept he had a strange dream; He was alone in a chemistry lecture hall and a shadowy figure stood at the board and solved chemistry problems.
When he woke up in the morning, he recalled most of the answers from his dream and hurriedly wrote them down. When he got to the exam hall, to his greatest surprise the questions on his exam sheet, were identical to those solved by the shadowy figure in his dream.
Ben Carson was able to get most of the answers and passed the exam with flying colors. He couldn’t thank God enough, for performing the amazing miracle that saved him from failure. Ben Carson went on to become the first surgeon to successfully separate conjoined twins joined at the head and is today, celebrated as one of the best neurosurgeons in the world.

When Ben Carson cried out in desperation for a miracle, God answered in an amazing way.
In many instances in the Bible, God did miracles in response to those who cried out in desperation to Him.

In Luke 18:37-43, Jesus was passing by, when Blind Bartimaeus began to cry out ‘Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.’
People around him, rebuked him and asked him to keep quiet but he only cried more desperately until Jesus stopped and called for him and healed him.
Bartimaeus didn’t stand idly by and expect Jesus to heal him, he did something to attract his miracle.

God says when we open our mouths wide, He will fill it.
What miracle do you need from God today? It is time to cry out to Him because His ears are open to the cries of the righteous. .
Certainly, you can’t watch this year pass you by with no tangible progress or results. Don’t keep waiting and wishing. You have to do something to secure Heaven’s attention and move God’s hand in your direction. It is indeed time to cry out in faith.
We rightly position ourselves to receive miracles from God when we approach Him in faith. And faith comes by hearing the Word of God.
Therefore as we fill our hearts with God’s Word and cry out in the place of prayer, God will miraculously intervene to stop us from experiencing failure in any area this year. Every evil plot to frustrate our progress will be overturned. Where we were meant to fall, we will arise and soar. Through dreams, visions and revelations, God will show us what to do to rise to our next level. Indeed we shall be seeing the amazing help of God in supernatural occurrences in our lives.

We are in the ninth month, which is a month of birthing. It is a time of manifestation and a season of reaping. Therefore let us be expectant, because God will yet do great things with us.
If you have been fighting the good fight of faith, this is not the time to grow weary, because your due season is on the way.
Though you may have sowed in tears, you are about to reap in joy.
The Lord will so turn your captivity that you will be like them that dream. Your mouth will be filled with laughter and your tongue with singing. [Psalms 126: 1-2]

PRAYER: Lord, Please enable me to pay the spiritual price of prayer, study of Your Word and praise, so that I can experience new dimensions of Your wonders. Thank You Lord for the great things You are about to do in Jesus Name.

Isabella Baumfree was born in 1797 to parents who were black slaves in New York. When she was nine years, she was separated from her parents and sold at an auction for $100.
By age 13, she had been sold two more times and ultimately ended up with a wicked slave master.
At 18 years, she was forced into marrying another slave and bore five children. When the Anti-Slavery Law emancipating slaves was proclaimed, her master promised to grant her freedom on July 4, 1826. But when the date arrived, he refused to keep his word. So Isabella escaped with her little daughter, leaving the other four children behind. She was taken in by a kind-hearted white couple who were Christians..
When her former Master defied the anti-slavery law and illegally sold her five-year-old son into slavery, Isabella filed a lawsuit to get back her son and won the case, regaining custody of her son. She became the first Black woman to sue a white man in a United States court and prevail.
Through the help of the Christian couple who accomodated her, she became a fervent Christian. She later worked as housekeeper for some well-known evangelists. Living among people of faith emboldened Isabella to go forth and do exploits for Christ. In 1843 she changed her name to ‘Sojourner Truth’ and embarked on a journey across America to preach the gospel and speak out against slavery and oppression. Though she never learned to read or write, yet her speeches moved audiences and were published in newspapers. She was invited by President Abraham Lincoln to the White House in October 1864.
From an unknown black slave, Isabella became one of the best known abolitionists and women’s rights advocate in world history.

Indeed through Christ we can do all things. No matter the barriers and limitations on the path of our destiny, through Christ we can break forth and break through to accomplish incredible things for God.
Today, we recognize that the world is passing through difficult times and sometimes it seems as if we are surrounded with insurmountable challenges. However, obstacles are simply the enemy’s ploy to discourage you and cause you to quit moving towards your glorious destiny.
As a child of God, you are born to be a wonder. All you need to do is to be rightly positioned in Christ and obey His Word.
As you diligently and persistently press forward in His high calling, you will be amazed at what God will do with your life.

Having come to the first day of the 9th month, it is our season of manifestations. God is set to do great things in our lives.
Just as a baby breaks out of the confines of the womb in the 9th month, it is our season to break forth and breakthrough.

In this month the force of spiritual contractions will propel us into birthing the dreams and visions held in the womb of our spirit.
It is indeed our season to experience speedy fulfilment of the prophetic agenda of wonder this year.

Enough of being spectators, it is our time to become partakers of wonders. All our efforts this year are about to yield amazing fruits. In all the wells we have been digging, now is our time to strike gold.

By the Blood of Jesus we will not miss our portion. By His divine grace, we will surely see the manifestation of every prophetic word spoken over us this year.
It is indeed time to see the wonders of God in our health, business, career, family, relationships, etc
Certainly, according to His power at work in us, God will be doing exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask , think or imagine.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the strength to keep pressing forward to the wonders You have ordained for me. Certainly by Your grace I shall soon see a manifestation of Your great plans for me this year in Jesus Name.

AUGUST 31; ALL GLORY AND HONOR TO GOD

1 Timothy 1:17 ‘Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.’

DAILY READING: Luke 3:1-20; Ezekiel 40-41; Isaiah 62

ServiceMaster Brands is a known global leader in home services businesses. It was founded in 1947 by Marion E. Wade.
In 1926 Marion Wade was an insurance salesman whose meager income could only afford a sub-standard apartment for his family. The unhealthy accommodation made his three-year-old daughter to fall ill and eventually die. Haunted by the thought that his daughter had died because of his inability to adequately provide a better home, he quit his job and began his own business of providing moth-proofing services.
He also turned to God for help and became a Christian. However, in 1944, while trying to moth-proof a customer’s home, there was a chemical explosion that temporarily blinded him.
For months Marion was confined to a hospital bed. During that period, he realized that he may have suffered the accident because, even though he was a Christian, he had not actively involved God in his business.
He then rededicated himself to seek God more earnestly. Miraculously, his sight was restored and thereafter he resolved to bring God’s presence into his business and to honor God in all his endeavors.
From that period, Wade and his employees began each workday with prayers and devotions, inviting God into their affairs.
Marion Wade called his business ‘the Service of the Master’. The name was later shortened to ServiceMaster.
The positive impact of following Biblical principles made the small business to experience enormous growth and by the end of the 20th century it was reaching $7.7 billion in annual sales. Indeed through honoring God, it came to be recognized as one of the greatest companies of its kind in the world.

God said in 1 Samuel 2:30, ‘For them that honour Me I will honour, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed’.

To experience success and see the mighty works of God, we need to make sure we are giving God the honor due to Him. In our lives, homes, businesses, careers, and in everything, God must take the first place.

Mark 6: 4-6 says ‘ But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work.;

Jesus said this when He arrived at His hometown and the people didn’t give Him due honor but rather treated Him with unbelief. Because of this, the miracle power of God could not flow among them. Before coming there, Jesus was in Capernaum where He had healed all their sick and done great miracles. But when He got to His hometown their attitude of dishonor stopped the flow of power.

To see miracles, signs and wonders, God must be continually honored in our lives. The Holy Spirit only flows in a life where He is continually celebrated. The more we bless God, praise Him and honor Him, the more His Presence and power surrounds us. And it is the Presence of God that beautifies the destinies of men. The more we celebrate God, the more He elevates us to higher positions in life.

One way we honor God is by praising Him continually.
When we give God praise we are planting seed that will bring forth the fruit of His fearful acts in our lives, because God is fearful in praises.
Indeed as we engage in tireless thanksgiving, we will experience the flow of endless miracles.
Having come to the end of August today, we have every reason to praise and bless God. As we look back, we can surely see that God has been good to us.
As we bless Him for what He has done so far, we will certainly see greater blessings and wonders in the coming months.
Therefore today, we join the host of Heaven and lift up our voices to proclaim ‘..Unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.’ [1 Timothy 1:17].

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to praise You continually and conduct my affairs in a manner that will only bring glory to Your Name. As I do, I thank You for the overflow of Your blessings in my life in Jesus’ Name.
