JUNE 28; GOD WILL ANSWER YOU!

Psalm 34:15 ‘The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.’

DAILY READING; • 1 Thessalonians 2:17-3:13; Isaiah 17-19; Psalm 114

Ben Carson is one of the most celebrated neurosurgeons in the world. His life story is an inspiring odyssey of childhood in inner-city ghetto to world-acclaimed neurosurgeon by age 33. He credits his success to faith in God.
While growing up, his mother often taught him — “If you ask the Lord for something and believe He will do it, then it’ll happen”.
Several times, in his life and medical work, he has seen God do amazing miracles in answer to faith and prayers.
In his book, “Think Big”, Ben Carson wrote of how God restarted the heart of a child in the middle of surgery, in answer to his prayer.
Ben Carson was in the midst of a surgery to remove a brain tumor from a 4-year-old child named Christine when suddenly she went into cardiac arrest. It was obvious they were about to lose her.
Within the next few seconds panic seeped through the medical team in the operating room. One of the nurses made a call over the intercom for more anesthesiologists.
As his hands moved quickly, Carson began to pray silently, ‘Lord, I don’t know what’s going on or what caused this. Fix it, God, please.’
His hands then firmly gripped Christine’s frail body to turn her over to pump her chest (which couldn’t be done from the back without injuring her spine). While still praying desperately to God for help, he paused momentarily before he flipped her over. In that instant, suddenly, her heart started beating again.
Carson’s heart brimmed with gratitude and joy.. “Thank you, Lord,” he said aloud. “I don’t know what happened, but clearly You fixed it.”
The medical team were able to proceed with the surgery without any further difficulty.
Medically, they never did figure out what had happened that stopped the cardiac arrest; but Ben Carson was convinced that God heard his prayers that day and intervened to save the life of young Christine.

God is often nearer than we know. .Even in situations that may look dark and foreboding God is always near, He is indeed our ever present help.
When we are in a covenant relationship with God, we can be sure He will never fall nor forsake us when we call upon Him.
This is why it is important to ensure that we are always in the right place with God, because victory in battle is sure for those who know their God.

God says in Psalm 91:14 -15 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

Certainly, God’s ears are open to the cry of the righteous.
When we love God and serve Him, whenever we cry, He hears us and arises for our deliverance.
When we have taken the time to build up strong faith in God, we can be sure of speedy answers anytime we call in prayer.

Jesus says in Mark 11:24 ‘Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.’

There is incredible power when we pray with faith .
When you get in agreement with God and believe His Word, your faith can supersede any natural law. What you believe can reverse any negative verdict. It can overturn the evil plots of the enemy and guarantee your rescue from any tight spot. Truly, the exceeding greatness of God’s power is released to us when we believe.

Ephesians 1:19 says ‘and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power..’

Whatever we desire from God is possible, as long we can have the faith to believe for it. We serve the prayer-answering God and He is committed to answer us anytime we call upon Him in faith. To see greater answers to our prayers let us accept the responsibility of spending more time in God’s Word so as to build up our faith.
Let us also constantly express our love to God through praise. As we do, certainly, God will speedily answer us whenever we call and exceed our every expectation.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to align myself with Your Word so that I can have the faith to receive speedy answers to my prayers. I thank You Lord for the unprecedented miracles You are set to do in my life in this season Jesus Name.

JUNE 27; FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!

1Timothy 6:12 ‘Fight the good fight of faith lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.’

DAILY READING; 1 Thessalonians 2:1-16; Isaiah 14-16; Psalm 113

Love Oyedepo Oga is the first daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo. She got married on March 23rd 2013 and about seven months later she became pregnant. But shortly after that she lost the pregnancy. After different tests, doctors said she would not be able to carry pregnancy to full-term because of certain medical conditions.
This was heartbreaking news for the young couple. At that point they knew they had to fight spiritually and so diligently began studying the Word to get the needed faith for victory.
During this time God arrested fear in Love Oyedepo through revealing to her that He is Alpha and Omega and whatever He starts He will finish. Whatever He “Alphas”, He will “Omega”.
During the 2014 Shiloh program they sowed sacrificial seeds. Then on the last day of the 21 days of prayer and fasting in 2015, after praising God, she decided to take a pregnancy test and it came out positive. The test showed the pregnancy was three weeks plus. Tears rolled down her face in gratitude to God.
Doctors still remained doubtful of her ability to carry the pregnancy to full-term but she held on to faith in God. She consistently listened to the Word to ensure that faith overwhelmed the negative facts coming from the doctors. She continued to use the Word of God to attack the Goliath of miscarriage.
All through the season of her pregnancy, God saw her through till the time of delivery.
Surprisingly she carried her baby to full term, and despite all the health challenges along the way, God intervened in every case and miraculously she delivered her baby safely. Despite the medical verdict that said she could not carry a pregnancy to full term, she gave birth to her first daughter in September 2015 and another daughter was born in 2017.
Love Oyedepo Ogah has shared on various media platforms her testimony, tagged “My Testimony: Our Fertility Journey”

Though she was the daughter of a great man of God, yet Love Oyedepo Ogah had to fight her own fight of faith .There are some battles no one else can fight for you. Others may assist but basically you have to be the one at the forefront to confront the enemy. Through applying the spiritual weapons of warfare, she got her victory.

Everyone will be faced with their own fight of faith. Victory in this battle will be determined by our readiness to accept spiritual responsibility.
Faith is hard work and we must be prepared to labour in the Word and spiritual exercises to see our desired results.

Hebrews 4:11 says, “Let us therefore labor to enter that rest..”.

Yes, there is a labor required for us to enter into our rest. The labour is to constantly grow our faith through holding on to the promises in God’s Word. We must focus on Scriptures until our actions are dominated and controlled only by what God says.
As long as you keep holding on to God’s promises you will have the victory at last. Surely, God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him Therefore never be discouraged by current challenges.
If situations appear insurmountable or overwhelming, be assured that through God, all things are possible. God can do inexplicable miracles that beats sense and logic. He has a way of sweeping aside the obvious facts, to do what only He as God can do. He knows how to bring down the Goliaths and those stubborn obstacles that seem to defy solution.
Regardless of what comes your way, with God, there can be no closed case. Those that put their trust in Him never end up ashamed.
As you keep pressing forward in faith, it is only a matter of time before you experience your own amazing testimony of miracles, signs and wonders..

PRAYER: Lord, help me to fight the good fight of faith. Please enable me to avoid discouragements, but rather to hold on steadfastly to Your Word until I see my own miracle in Jesus’ Name.

JUNE 26; THE POWER OF LIGHT!

Psalm 119:130 ‘The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.’

DAILY READING – 1 Thessalonians 1; Isaiah 11-13; Psalm 112

The American Revolution was a time when the British colonists in America rebelled against the rule of Great Britain. There were many battles fought until the colonies gained their freedom and became the independent United States of America.
One of these remarkable battles fought during this war is known as the Moonlight battle or Battle of Cape St. Vincent.
It is referred to as the Moonlight Battle because it was fought at night which was unusual for naval battles in that era.
At the beginning of the Revolution war, some countries like France and Spain came to join the American colonies fighting against the British empire.
Spain’s principal goal for entering the war was to recapture Gibraltar from
Britain.
The British had gained control of Gilbralta, an important area of the Mediterranean Sea back in 1704.
And so Spanish forces seized the opportunity of the war, to attempt to recapture the small, but heavily defended British fort at Gibraltar.
On January 16, 1780, a British fleet of supply vessels, escorted by 18 ships was on its way to Gibraltar when it clashed with a Spanish squadron of 11 warships. However, when the Spanish fleet realized how heavily outmatched it was, it immediately retreated back. But the British Naval fleet chased after them and bombarded the Spaniards until 2 am. Despite the darkness, the British ships utilized the help of the moon to continue fighting until they had captured six Spanish ships.
This became the first major naval victory for Britain over their European enemies in the war. The British fleet was praised across the empire for their victory at this Moonlight Battle
However, this victory was only made possible because of the crucial role the light of the moon played on that day.

Spiritualy, light from God’s Word is crucial to our victory in life’s battles.
Light from the Word gives us dominion over the forces of wickedness.
In every challenge or confrontation,
revelation from God’s Word is always our guarantee of victory.. As the light shines, no darkness can comprehend or overcome it.
Walking in the light of the Word empowers us to always triumph over challenges.
When we come into battle armed with the knowledge of what God’s Word says about our situation, the darkness flees.
Spiritual ignorance is like darkness, and it is where the enemy thrives and oppresses people. .But when
we put on the armour of light, we disarm him easily.
At the Mount of Temptation, Jesus defeated the enemy by engaging the light of God’s Word and declaring what is written in the Scriptures.
We can always defeat the enemy and become free of his bondages through superior spiritual knowledge of God’s Word.
As it is written, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32)

We need the light of God’s Word to triumph always. Jesus is the light of the world and without Him we can do nothing ,but through Him we can do all things.. Indeed nothing works until His light comes.
Peter, was toiling all night long in the dark without any catch. But when he heard the Word of Jesus, there was a divine illumination and turnaround of his situation.
Light from God’s Word can entirely revolutionize our lives. In our health, in our families, in our businesses, we need the illumination of the Word for victory over the forces of darkness. In this age of darkness, light is our only rescue. Wherever light appears, darkness must bow. Therefore every light bearer is naturally a victor in the battles of life.
Our access to divine light is through diligent study of God’s Word. It is the entrance of His Word that gives light.
Genuine encounter with God’s Word will always deliver victory to us because, faith, the victory that overcomes the world, comes from hearing the Word.
Indeed as we daily abide in God’s Word, our light will constantly shine to overcome every darkness and establish our dominion in every conflict..

PRAYER: Father please help me to always walk in Your light so that I can triumph always in life. Please enable me to diligently study Your Word so as to have the faith that will turn me into a wonder to my world in Jesus Name.

JUNE 25 : GUARD YOUR MIND!

Proverbs 4:23-27 ’Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.’

DAILY READING • Revelation 21-22; Isaiah 9-10; Psalm 111

John Alexander Dowie was a renowned pioneer of Divine Healing in the 19th century.
In his early years of outstanding success in Chicago, the power of God was constantly demonstrated, and hundreds were healed of every affliction. At this time, the devil fought hard against his ministry as Dowie was arrested over 100 times on trumped-up charges and ceaselessly attacked by the media.
But Dowie was a fighter, who boldly battled the oppositions against his ministry, and continued to gain recognition and popularity.
It seemed the enemy applied a more subtle form of attack by causing some people to approach Dowie with what they claimed to be a “direct revelation from God”. They told Dowie that he was ‘Elijah the Restorer’, the great end-times prophet. But Dowie immediately recognized the trap and rebuked them soundly and dismissed them from his presence, warning them never to mention such things to him again.
However, when the early years of constant battle were done and a time of relative peace and prosperity settled in upon him, it appeared Alexander Dowie began to relax his guards.
At this time the suggestion that he was Elijah kept ringing in his ears. According to his own testimony, he tried to rid himself of it, but could not. A voice seemed to say, ‘Elijah must come, and who but you is doing the work of Elijah? Though he had earlier refused, rejected, rebuked and dismissed the suggestion, one day his mind seemed to become overwhelmed by the strange and intense conviction that he was truly Elijah.
In June 1901, Dowie took the fateful step of publicly announcing that he was indeed Elijah the Restorer. This claim was immediately challenged and denounced by religious leaders all over the world.
However, Dowie would not be convinced otherwise. The once daring fighter ended up being deluded by the devil into dressing in High-Priestly robes and thinking that he was Elijah.
John Alexander Dowie died in comparative ignominy several years later, an ill and broken man – a shadow of his former self -having lost his ministry and literally everything he owned.
His story is detailed in Gordon Lindsay’s book, ‘John Alexander Dowie – A life story of Trials, Tragedies and Triumphs’

How this great preacher could come to such a tragic end, is something that should be an object lesson to us all.
No matter our level of spirituality, we cannot afford to take a break from being on guard.
A believer’s life is a life of constant vigilance because there’s an enemy that goes about seeking whom to devour..
One of the key strategies he employs, is to find a way to place wrong thoughts into a believer’s mind. Times of spiritual weakness, when the person is not fully on guard or alert are critical times when such evil thoughts can be subtly planted..The Bible says that it was while men slept, that the enemy sowed tares. Once a thought takes root in the mind, it is only a matter of time, before it turns into actions.
The fruits of these wrong thoughts become the sins that can crash and crush a strong Christian testimony..

Therefore, we must keep our minds always guarded by God’s Word, and give no room to the devil.
If you give him an inch, he becomes the ruler. If you allow him a foothold in your mind, he builds a strong hold. So don’t even allow wrong thoughts in the first place. Don’t expose yourself to wrong suggestions, information or media that can negatively affect your mind. Thoughts are easy to get in, but often more difficult to get rid of.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says ‘For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;.’

We have to bring into captivity every wrong thought. We must take authority over it and command it to be flushed out of our minds in the Name of Jesus.
Also to have victory in the battle of the mind, we must commit to constant study of God’s Word. When the Word dominates our mind we will be full of faith and easily overcome the infiltration of any wrong thought. Through the shield of faith we will quench the fiery darts of temptations and live the life of victory that glorifies God.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to keep my mind constantly filled with Your Word. Through the light from Your Word certainly, there will be no hiding place for sin or darkness in my life in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; • Revelation 20; Isaiah 7-8; Psalm 110

Soon after Ethan Stacy was born, at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, he was diagnosed with leukemia. The only treatment was chemotherapy, but it was going to be so toxic that it could kill baby Ethan.
Ethan’s parents, Chad and Mandy, decided to forgo the chemotherapy and took him home, after two weeks in the hospital.
When they came home, his mother Mandy, began praying and asking God for a solution.
After only a few days at home, Ethan’s condition became worse as tumors began to show up in different parts of his body..
Doctors diagnosed that the leukemia had become very advanced. As his condition rapidly declined, Ethan stopped eating and began to experience sleep apnea.
When blood began appearing in his diapers and also coming out of his ears, the hospital believed baby Ethan was very close to dying. As his body began rapidly shutting down and with few days left for him to live, Ethan’s parents took a long painful walk through the cemetery to see the place where they would bury their son.
However, despite the hopelesness of the situation, Ethan’s parents and Church members, continued to pray, believing God for the impossible.
His mother would hold his frail and dying body and sing worship songs, focusing her mind on Christ. One night when Ethan faced his greatest medical crisis, it seemed the end had finally come for him. But then, after that crisis something surprising happened! Though he had not been eating, when his mother gave him some food, the baby started feeding from his bottle a little bit at a time.
The next day, Ethan was a little stronger. Medically it looked like he was only having one final rebound before death, but his parents believed God was healing him.
Over the next two weeks, Ethan continued to miraculously improve!
When his mother took him back to the hospital, the doctors were shocked. When they checked his blood counts, his platelets level which had been 39,000 at his lowest point was 415,000 — in normal range.
When they did the bone marrow test, it showed no evidence of leukemia. The hospital was amazed at how Ethan had gotten close to death’s door, and yet inexplicably bounced back to life.
But his parents knew it was a miracle that came in answer to their prayers and steadfast faith in God.
Today, Ethan Stacy is a strapping two-year-old, who is healthy and developing normally.
Ethan Stacy’s amazing story has been reported by CBN news and other major Christian media outlets..

Truly, it is never over until God says so. What may seem impossible to men, is totally possible with God .

In Jeremiah 32:27, God says ‘Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?’

Certainly, nothing is too hard for God. There is no disease He cannot heal; there is no miracle He cannot perform – there is no situation He cannot reverse.
Lazarus was dead for 4 days and it seemed the case over, but when Jesus came to the grave there was a divine turnaround of that situation.
In Luke 8, Physicians could not heal the woman with the issue of blood and it seemed her case was closed. When she came to Jesus and touched the hem of His garment by faith, she was made perfectly whole.

When our faith in God’s Word remains steadfast, anything is possible.
We must strive to invest in building up our faith because it is the key to all possiblities.
In every challenge, the one thing God requires from us is to have faith in His word. When we exercise faith,His power is triggered for our miracle.
Anytime it seems you have come to the end of your own strength, don’t give up because it is not over yet! Rather, hold on to God’s Word and keep speaking faith despite how negative things may outwardly seem. When we speak faith-filled words, they go into the spirit realm and begin to alter things in our favor. To have the victory ,refuse to walk by sight and reject the devil’s report of your situation.
Understand that life is controlled from the spirit realm, therefore don’t quickly jump to conclusions and accept negative verdicts . Rather, prepare to fight the good fight of faith by engaging the spiritual weapons of our warfare which are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds
Faith is a weapon that constantly overcomes the world.
When you sit down in the Word and keep your focus on God, faith will arise to strengthen your heart to overcome impossible battles.
Indeed it is never over until God says so. No matter the situation facing you today, God alone has the final say. And when God is on your side, nothing can be a barrier to your miracle.
The experts may have termed the case hopeless, but it is not too difficult for God. when God is for you, nothing can be against you.
Though weeping may have endured for the night, surely your morning of joy is here.
As we take the spiritual responsibility of building up our faith through diligent study of the Word and prayers, we will begin to see divine reversal of impossible situations. Certainly, God will arise and do what no man can do in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always know that with You nothing is impossible. Help me never to limit You, but rather to always trust that You can turn around any situation for me in Jesus Name.

JUNE 23; TRUST TOTALLY IN THE LORD!

Proverbs 3:5-6 ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths’

DAILY READING; • Revelation 19; Isaiah 5-6; Psalm 109:20-31

Impalas are medium-sized antelopes that roam the savanna and light woodlands of eastern and southern Africa.
Impalas are fleet runners who are able to leap distances of up to 33 feet. They use this technique to escape predators, such as lions. Once an alert impala spots a predator, it would bark out an alarm that puts the entire herd to flight—and a fleeing impala is not an easy prey for a predator to catch..
Typically, a running impala will simply jump over anything in its path. It can also clear bushes and other obstacles by soaring some 10 feet in the air.
The impala has two characteristic leaps. It can jump as high as 3 meters, even jumping over other impalas, and covering a distance of 10 meters in one bounce. Its smaller jumps involve kicking with its hind legs midair and leaping in many different directions, ostensibly to confuse predators.
While the African impala can jump so high and cover such a great distance, yet these magnificent creatures can be kept in an enclosure in any zoo with a 3-foot wall.
The reason why these animals cannot jump over the low wall and escape is because the Impala will not jump if they cannot see where their feet will fall.
As long the low wall obscures its view of the outside ground, the impala is afraid to take the necessary leap to freedom.

Fear can be paralyzing. Fear is a self-imposed prison that will keep a person from taking leaps to freedom.
A lot of humans are afraid to take risks and would rather stay bound where they are, because they do not know what lies on the other side.
Faith is the ability to trust God and move in obedience even when we do not see the whole picture.
It takes faith to step out and do what God calls us to do.

Indeed it will take faith to go beyond the barriers and limitations of your mind to embrace the big dreams that God places in your heart.
God does not give you a vision according to your ability, rather He gives you according to His own capability.
Any assignment God gives you will be bigger than what you can handle on your own. Therefore to see it accomplished, it will take great faith in God’s divine abilities..
Faith is being willing to walk off the map and jump, when God says so, without questioning where you would land, because you know that God is too faithful to fail.
When God called Abraham out of his homeland, Abraham did not know where he was going but he believed in God and trusted in His promises.

Hebrews 11:8-14 says ‘By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.’

Abraham did not ask many questions. He stepped out trusting God. In the end we saw how God took him to a good land and blessed him beyond measure.
Whenever God calls us, He calls us to glory and virtue and never to shame. So instead of fearing we must follow Him in faith.
Whatever, we encounter on the way, we must focus on God’s promise and not on the problems. We are to always trust in the Lord with all our heart without leaning on our own understanding.
Our five physical senses can be agents of unbelief, we must therefore rely on the sixth sense of faith.
The truth is that it is only what you believe that you can achieve. You cannot go higher than your thoughts and you cannot do greater than what you believe you can.
It is therefore necessary to keep our faith strong, by feeding constantly on the Word of God.
We must not know every detail of the journey before we step out. But as we trust God to be our shepherd, He will surely lead us to our green pastures where we shall not want or lack any good thing.

PRAYER: Father please help me to drop limiting thoughts of unbelief. Please enable me to daily strengthen my faith through feeding on Your Words so that I can accomplish the great vision You have in store for me in Jesus’ Name.

JUNE 22; TRIUMPH OF FAITH!

Hebrews 11:33-34 ‘Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword…’

DAILY READING – • Revelation 18; Isaiah 3-4; Psalm 109:1-19

Just like the story of Daniel in the lions’ den, an Egyptian law student, Majed El Shafie, who converted to Christianity, was miraculously unharmed by ferocious attack dogs unleashed on him to kill him.
Majed El Shafie found himself in prison after he converted from Islam to Christianity, founded a pro-Christian legal aid organisation with thousands of members, and wrote a book to help fellow Christians.
He had become converted after a friend introduced him to the Bible which he read for a year and became convinced to accept Christ as his savior.
Due to his decision to become a Christian, he was barred from practicing law, lost his standing in the community and faced rejection from his own family.
Though he came from an influential family in Cairo comprising of lawyers and Supreme Court justices, none came to his rescue as he was thrown into prison for his newfound faith.
In his prison cell, the jailers let loose on him three snarling dogs, but the dogs just sat around him, refusing to attack him. The guards brought in another set of dogs, which did the same thing as the first set of dogs.
The guards were amazed and said it was a miracle. Thereafter, they offered him anything he wanted –wealth, houses, wives- if he would only give up his faith. But he refused. He was subsequently tried and sentenced to death. But with the help of friends, he made a daring escape from the prison. Made his way to Israel and was later granted political asylum in Canada and eventually became a Canadian citizen.
He has continued his humanitarian work which has gained international recognition.

To be a Christian in this endtimes and boldly stand for what you believe will attract attacks. The truth is that everyone’s faith will be tested one way or the other. The question is; will your faith stand under fire?
When men are brought under fire what is in them really shows up. But those who truly know their God will always say to Nebuchadnezzar ‘we will not bow’.
When Daniel refused to give up praying to God, he was thrown into the lion’s den. But God arose for his deliverance and sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions from harming him. Indeed when you refuse to bow to the enemy, God will always arise for your help.

Psalm 46:1-2 says, ‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.’

Through shedding His Blood at Calvary, Christ has given us the power to overcome every opposition.
It doesn’t matter what it is you are confronted with, through Christ you are always guaranteed the victory.

1 Corinthians 15:57 says ‘But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.’

The victory that overcomes the world is the faith within us. Indeed we will always overcome trials and opposition, through unshakeable faith in Christ built from quality time spent in His Word. When our foundation is strong in God, we will never be moved.
When you have a consistent prayer and study life, there will be hidden strength in you. This is what helps you not to be defeated in the face of temptations or troubles.
Anytime, you are confronted, the faith embedded in you will show up, and this is what manifests as miracles of deliverance. Hebrews 11:33-38 says ‘Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.’
Daniel’s faith in God was what secured his deliverance from the lion’s den. Indeed through faith in God, no weapon fashioned against us shall ever prosper.
We must therefore be prepared to overcome the peculiar challenges of these perilous times, by maintaining a spiritually fervent lifestyle of diligent study of the Bible, worship and prayers. As we do this we are building up strength that will show up for us whenever opposition arises.
Certainly, though faith in God’s Word and by the power in the Blood of Jesus, we will always emerge victorious over trials and oppositions.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to be always spiritually prepared through spending time in Your Word and fervent prayers.i I thank You for always granting me victory by the Blood in Jesus Name.

JUNE 21 : FAITH FOR A MIRACLE TURNAROUND!

Psalm 30:11 ‘Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;’

DAILY READING; Revelation 17; Isaiah 1-2; Psalm 108

In 2017, Kayode Adewumi was threatened by Boko Haram terrorists. Trouble started when Kayode, who had a printing business in Abuja, refused to print materials for the terrorists. Later on, they showed up at his home with guns, threatening to shoot his wife. Kayode then relocated his family to Akure, Nigeria. But he was shocked to find that the terrorists still traced him to his new location.
Then the family went on the run and eventually secured visas and a flight to Texas to stay with relatives. In America, they landed in a homeless shelter in Manhattan. Kayode, became a dishwasher and Uber driver, while his wife Oluwatoyin, cleaned buildings.
Their young son, eight-year-old Tani who was in third grade, joined the chess club. Tani learned to play chess and develop a passion for it. As he mastered the game Tani desired to begin to win trophies.
His mother, prayed and joined faith with him, as they believed God to help him to find success. Tani would often pray and praise God to give him trophies. As the little boy worked hard and kept faith in God, things began to turn around.
In March 2019, Tani’s coaches decided to take him along with their school team to the New York state championship. They didn’t expect him to go far in the championship, but then a miracle happened.
Out of 73 players, 8-year-old Tani came out on top and won the New York State chess championship. He had won this championship less than a year after he learned to play chess.
God had answered Tani’s prayers and gave him the trophy he had been believing for. That was the beginning of something phenomenal. As Tani and his family’s story was reported in the media, it grabbed the hearts of the public and soon they received $250,000 within ten days! Tani’s father was given a brand-new car and someone rented an apartment for them for a year. Tani has continued to climb the rating ladder, astounding many by his talent in playing chess. Though his family had been refugees escaping a terrorist group, Tani Adewumi, is now a household name in the chess world. He and his parents share their journey in their book, “My Name is Tani and I Believe in Miracles.”

Miracles are real!
God knows how to turn around what was meant for evil for our good. Genesis 50:20 shows us that He is truly a turnaround God. He dramatically caused the plans of Joseph’s brothers to backfire and turned things around in Joseph’s favor.
In Psalm 30:11 David said “Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;’
God changed the story of David from a mere shepherd boy to become a national hero at 17 years old. The harassment of goliath, presented the opportunity for David to defeat him and ascend the throne.
Indeed through faith in God, stumbling blocks can become stepping stones. Challenges are just opportunities in disguise. It’s a matter of perspective. Through faith, we can look beyond obvious challenges and see God at work. God often uses problems as opportunities to show who He is and what He’s capable of doing.
In John chapter 9, the disciples saw a man blind from his birth and they asked Jesus: Who sinned? This man or his parents? “Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him…” (John 9:3).
Indeed challenges are opportunities for the works of God to be displayed in our lives.
In this season, the God who turned the Red Sea into dry land for His people to pass through, will certainly turn things around in your favor. Sickness will be turned into health, trials will turn into triumphs, lack into abundance, struggle into ease.
That is what God is set to do in your life. You’re coming into a turnaround season. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy is coming in the morning. As you believe, you are about to see the hand of God do things that are unusual, uncommon and extraordinary.
Faith is the key factor for a sudden change of story because all things are possible to him that believes. .
It is therefore time for us to get into agreement with God’s Word so as to experience a miraculous change of story. It doesn’t matter what things may look like in the natural, we serve a supernatural God. And as we remain strong in faith and keep giving glory to God, surely, He will suddenly turn things around and give us beauty in the place of ashes.

PRAYER: Lord, I Thank You for the turnaround miracles You are set to do in my life. I thank You Lord, for going beyond my expectations and doing exceedingly, abundantly, above all I could ever imagine in Jesus Name.

JUNE 20; THE WORD IS QUICK AND POWERFUL!

Hebrews 4:12 ‘For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.’

DAILY READING; • Revelation 16; Esther 9-10; Psalm 107:23-43

The Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit is a collection of sermons by the famous 19th century preacher, Charles Spurgeon. One of the most remarkable illustrations in this volume, is the story of Mr. Thorpe, a pastor who came to salvation in Christ in a most unusual way.
In the 18th century, Mr. Thorpe lived in Bristol, England, and was a part of a band of men who called themselves, the ‘Hell Fire Club.’ The reason for the club’s existence was to mock and ridicule the work of the famed evangelist, George Whitefield. On one occasion, the ‘Hell-Fire Club’ gathered at a pub for such mockery. Mr. Thorpe offered an imitation of Whitefield, and delivered his sermon with brilliant accuracy, perfectly imitating his tone and facial expressions as he quoted Scriptures. But suddenly amidst the laughter something strange happened. It seemed as if the power of God gripped Mr. Thorpe as the Scriptures he had been quoting in mockery suddenly pricked his conscience. The words he had been speaking seemed to pierce his soul and grip him with a new understanding. He sat down and began to think of the state of his own soul and inexplicably became converted on the spot.
From there, Mr. Thorpe began to seek to know more of God’s Word. His life became totally transformed and he would go on to become a prominent Christian leader in the city of Bristol.

It is indeed amazing the transformation that God’s Word can accomplish. The Word of God arrested Mr. Thorpe in a way and manner that could not be explained humanly. When his conscience could not prick him, and the words of other men seemed to have no impact, the Word of God broke through and brought him to repentance.
Certainly, no heart is too tough and no soul is too dark for God’s Word to penetrate. When God wills it, His Word can pierce anyone and reach into the innermost recesses of any heart, at any time!
Indeed, the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword (Hebrews 4:12.)

God’s Word is alive, quick and sharp and can cut through any hard situation. It touches where nothing else can touch and brings life and alters circumstances.
Most problems, sicknesses and afflictions have deep spiritual roots that defy physical solutions . Only God’s Word has the capacity to go deep enough to totally destroy their evil roots.
The word of God, spoken in faith has awesome power to uproot and destroy insurmountable obstacles.
The Word of God can destroy stagnation, sickness and the anti-covenant afflictions that fight believers’ destinies
God’s Word contains life-quickening genes and is powerful enough to transform any condition.

In John 6:63 Jesus says ‘The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.’

Truly, the Word of God is active, powerful, dynamic and full of energy. Whenever God’s Word is released, situations change and miracles take place. During His ministry on earth, Jesus spoke words that raised the dead, healed the sick, stopped the storm, and transformed situations and lives.
Likewise, as we release the Word in faith over any negative situation in our lives, we will see signs and wonders occur. Faith in God’s Word will take us from sickness to health, from poverty to prosperity, from sorrow to joy.
The Word cannot be resisted, rather it dominates over negative conditions until it accomplishes God’s will.
God says His Word shall not return to Him empty, it shall succeed in the thing for which He sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).
Today, if there is any area where you need a change of story, then it is time to apply the Word in faith. As you speak to that mountain of sickness, financial challenge, family crisis etc, you will suddenly begin to see changes.
Certainly, there is nothing too hard for the Word to do.
Everything God can do, His Word can do, because He and His Word are One.

PRAYER; Lord, please help me to speak boldly in faith against the things fighting my destiny. I thank You Lord for always causing me to triumph through the amazing power of Your Word in Jesus Name.

JUNE 19; FAITH FOR THE MIRACULOUS!

Mark 9:23 ‘Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.’

DAILY READING –Revelation 15; Esther 6:14-8:17; Psalm 107:1-22

Breakthrough is a 2019 American Christian film, based on an account of true events of the life of John Smith, a young man whom many see as a walking miracle,
John — who was adopted by his parents, Joyce and Brian, when he was just a baby — attended middle school and played sports … until tragedy struck.
On January 19, 2015, then-14-year-old John and two of his friends were messing around on frozen Lake St. Louise when the ice broke open beneath their feet and they plummeted down into the brutally cold water. One boy was able to climb his way out, and another was quickly rescued. John, however, became trapped and sank down to the lake’s floor. After 15 minutes underwater, John was finally pulled to the surface by first responders and taken to the nearby St. Joseph Hospital West. His body was cold and lifeless, and doctors tried to administer CPR for 43 minutes with no success. The Emergency room doctor was preparing to deliver the tragic news to John’s mother, Joyce, when she entered her son’s hospital room and quickly said a desperate prayer: “Holy Spirit, please come and give me back my son!” she prayed aloud, according to People.
As the story goes, that was the moment that everything changed: Immediately after Joyce uttered those words, her son’s heart began beating once again. And he just kept continuing to defy the odds from there — although his doctors had told Joyce and Brian that he would likely never regain neurological function, John was awake and answering questions within 48 hours of his rescue.
In an unprecedented turn of events, John not only recovered fully from his brush with death, but he also did so with remarkable speed: Just three weeks after his lifeless body had been admitted to the hospital, John walked out the front door on his own two feet. He had to attend outpatient therapy for several weeks following his release, but it was a recovery that doctors had never seen the likes of before.
Joyce wrote about it in her book ‘The Impossible’ which was made into the movie ‘Breakthrough’.
Speaking to People magazine Joyce said “I have always believed that God’s going to do what he says he does because I’ve seen it all my life. The very moment that I needed God, He was there instantly’.

There is incredible power in what we believe. If you want to see God’s miracle working power, then you must activate your faith. Something powerful happens when you release your faith.
Faith doesn’t just look at the facts and give up. Faith looks at circumstances, that look like defeat and yet believes God against all the odds.
If we’re going to be victorious in life, then we must walk by faith and not allow what we see to dominate and defeat us.
You may be facing situations that seem impossible, but when you dare to believe, God can do the incredible and the miraculous.
It doesn’t matter what the experts may have said or how long it has been that way, trust that God is able to miraculously turn that situation around.

In Ezekiel 37, God took Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones and asked him “Son of man, can these bones live?’ When Ezekiel acknowledged God’s sovereignty and ability to do anything, The spirit of God came upon him and as he started prophesying, the dead bones came back to life.

Today, we are being asked the same question as Ezekiel. “Do you believe that dry bones can rise and live again?’ The medical and financial reports may not look good, but do you believe God can turn things around?
God has good plans, to promote you, to heal you, to restore you, to show you favor. But all the good things God has for you will only be activated when you believe.
Nothing can stand against God’s plan for you when you believe. No disappointment, no setback, no injustice, no person, no hater, no jealousy can hinder you. When you believe, all the forces of darkness cannot stop God’s plan from coming into manifestation in your life.
But to have faith you must commit to diligent study of God’s Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing God’s Word.
No matter the enemy’s plan to frustrate or hinder you, when you have faith you will always have the victory. Because, faith is the victory that overcomes the world.
Today, as we continue to trust God and praise Him, He will surely turn every mourning into dancing for us and do inexplicable wonders in our lives..

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for being in perfect control of my life. No matter what I may face today, I know You are always able to take care of me and enable me to overcome every trial and temptations in Jesus Name.
