JULY 9; GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD

Psalm 34:1 ‘I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad’.

DAILY READING • 1 Timothy 5:23-6:21; Jeremiah 3-4; Psalm 120

Looking at the impact of John Wesley’s life, no one would have known he suffered great oppositions, including a miserable marriage, to found the Methodist Church.
Violent opposition became a part of his life from an early age. John Wesley nearly died in a fiery blaze at the age of five. The fire was started by opponents of his father Samuel Wesley, who disagreed with his support for the Church of England.
As he grew and started his own ministry, John Wesley witnessed violent reactions to his preaching of the Gospel.
Mobs frequently targeted Wesley as he travelled from town to town sharing the truth of the Gospel.
Angry mobs would often chase Wesley and his companions with clubs, cleavers, and other weapons. He was often pelted with stones, smeared with dirt and chased into houses.
John Wesley suffered many persecutions, but in every circumstance he remained thankful to God at all times.
Opposition came in other forms, such as relationship problems. Wesley fell in love with two women before eventually marrying his wife, Mary. His marriage resulted in years of strife between himself and Mary. Jealous and temperamental, Mary caused a lot of misery for John before eventually separating from him
However, all these conflicts failed to stop John Wesley from striving to spread the Gospel. He faithfully served God and in all things, he remained ever thankful even till the end of his life.
By 1791, at the ripe old age of 88 years Wesley was ready to depart the world. With his remaining breath, despite his extreme weakness, he began singing the hymn, “I’ll Praise My Maker While I’ve Breath.”
Indeed even with his last breath, John Wesley remained grateful, and continued praising God till the very end.

Paul said in Philippians 4:4 ‘Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.’

No matter how things may seem in the natural, Praise means looking through the eyes of faith and seeing God constantly at work in our lives. The truth is that no matter what we think we may have passed through God has saved us from far much more. If you have lost anything, God is the reason why you have not lost everything
Indeed we can never in this life grasp the full extent of the goodness of God in our lives. It is only because of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed. It is only by His grace that we have been able to overcome all the traps, trials and temptations of the enemy.
We must therefore be thankful and always praise God for His many mercies. Indeed if it had not been for the Lord on our side where would we be? Therefore everyday of our lives, at all times and in all things, all the glory must go to God, because without Him we are nothing and can do nothing.
Lack of praise is a form of pride and expression of ingratitude. It is an anti-grace virus that causes a man to take God for granted and thus he becomes grounded.
Truly, God is always good. And even if it seems you are faced with an adverse situation, through praise you can invite God in to change your story. God inhabits the praises of His people and as we praise Him, we make room for Him to come and inhabit our situation. And when God steps in, every problem must bow out. This was what happened to Paul and Silas in Acts 16:22-26.
When they broke out in praise at midnight, God arrived in the midst of their praises. At God’s Presence the prison door broke down, their chains were cut asunder and they were delivered from captivity.
Likewise, today, it doesn’t matter the obstacle you may be faced with, as you begin to praise God, He will go before you and break down every barrier and destroy every captivity.
Truly as we bless the Lord at all times, He will give us the victory and dominion over oppositions and cause us to triumph always.

PRAYER: Lord, You are always good and faithful. No matter what happens around me, I know You are always at work in my life and causing all things to work together for my good in Jesus Name.

JULY 8; THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S!

2Chronicles 20:17 ‘Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.’

DAILY READING; 1 Timothy 5:1-22; Jeremiah 1-2; Psalm 119:145-176

Smith Wigglesworth was a 20th century Gospel minister, famous for amazing miracles, signs and wonders in his ministry.
In his book “Ever Increasing Faith’’, Wigglesworth recounted how he was called late one night to pray for a dying young girl whom doctors had given up on.
When he came and looked at her, he realized that unless God intervened it was impossible for her to live. Wigglesworth asked the mother and siblings of the dying girl to leave the room and go to bed. After they had left, he knelt by her bed side, and began to challenge death. He knew that God could change even the hardest situation and show Himself Mighty.
However, as Wigglesworth fought in prayer, it seemed as though there would not be an answer. After praying for more than four hours, rather than recover, the girl died. At that moment the devil said to him, “Now you are done for, the girl has died on your hands.”
But Wigglesworth said “It can’t be. God did not send me here for nothing. This is a time to change strength.”
He then remembered the Bible passage which said, “Men ought always to pray and not to faint.” Though death had taken place, yet he knew that God was all powerful, and would miraculously change the situation as he persisted in prayers.
Then at that moment, as he looked at the window he saw the face of Jesus appear. It seemed as though a million rays of light were coming from His face. As Wigglesworth looked back at the dead girl, he saw a miracle taking place, suddenly the color returned to her face. She rolled over and fell asleep. Wigglesworth had a glorious time praising and blessing God for giving him the victory.
In the morning the girl woke up early, put on a dressing gown and walked to the piano. She started to play and to sing a wonderful song. The family all came down and listened in amazement and wonder at God’s miracle working power that had raised the girl.

Anytime it seems you have come to the end of your own strength, don’t give up because it is not over yet! The battle is not yours but the Lord’s. Therefore continue to stand in faith despite how negative things may outwardly seem. When our faith in God’s Word remains steadfast, anything is possible.

In Jeremiah 32:27, God says ‘Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?’

Certainly, nothing is too hard for God. There is no situation He cannot turn around, no mountain He cannot move and no miracle He cannot perform –
Truly, it is never over until God says so. The experts may have termed the case hopeless, but it is not too difficult for God. When God arises all enemies must be scattered.
Life is really a battle, you have to dig in your heels and refuse to quit. Through Christ Jesus, we are destined to triumph always and be more than conquerors.
We can have the dominion over any challenge through steadfast faith in God. Therefore refuse to be intimidated by the obvious facts. Acquire faith through feeding on relevant Scriptures, then persist in prayers and keep trusting God for a turnaround. God never fails. Even if the battle seems greater than you, continue to press forward in faith and keep giving God worthy praise.
When Jehoshaphat and his army faced enemies that were too strong for them, they experienced amazing victory through praising God.
God turned their battlefield into the Valley of Berachah. Berachah means “blessings.” It took them three days to gather all the spoils of war!

Whatever may be facing you today, as you stand in faith and keep praising God in the midst of the challenge, you will soon experience a divine reversal. God will turn that battle into a blessing and you will have supernatural victory and dominion.

PRAYER: Lord, I know indeed that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I can ever ask or imagine. I therefore thank You today, for giving me the victory and dominion over every issue of concern in Jesus Name. .

JULY 7; WALK IN POWER AND DOMINION!

Psalm 66:3 “Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.”

DAILY READING • 1 Timothy 4; Isaiah 38-39; Psalm 119:121-144

The story of John Graham Lake is one of incredible displays of God’s power. In the early 20th century, John G. Lake was used mightily by God in the area of divine healing with amazing signs and wonders. He often utilized every opportunity to display God’s healing power to the world. At one time, he was invited to make such a display before a committee appointed by the Church of England to review reputable institutions of healing in Europe.
Also invited for the demonstration was the greatest hypnotic institution for healing in the world at that time, located in Lourdes, France.
John G. Lake agreed to be part of this event, if only he was allowed to make the final demonstration after others had tried their own healing methods. The committee agreed to his request.
On the appointed day, a large audience of physicians and scientists were present for this demonstration. Five very sick people were brought in, whose ailment had been pronounced absolutely incurable.
The hypnotists came and tried several methods to heal these sick people, but without success.
After they gave up, John G. Lake then asked for the five candidates to be placed in chairs in a row upon the platform, in view of everyone. He prayed over each of the sick people separately and at the same time laid his hands upon them.
As he prayed, three of these incurable cases were instantly healed and a fourth person recovered a few days later.
John G. Lake indeed demonstrated the superiority of God’s healing power throughout his ministry and remains celebrated as one of God’s greatest generals.

We may marvel at how a person like John G. Lake was used by God to do such amazing wonders, but the secret of his ministry was in his strong faith which was developed through diligently seeking God.
Likewise, when we rightly position ourselves spiritually, God’s power will flow through us.
As believers in these last days, our lives are to be so saturated with God’s power that it will be demonstrated wherever we go. Through the manifestation of power, we are to show the world that Jesus is the answer to their problems. Our preaching of the Gospel should be accompanied with signs and wonders that will convict and convince men.
Paul the apostle said in 1 Thessalonians 1:5:
“For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;..”
Also 1Corinthians 2:4 says ‘The kingdom of God is not in words, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power!
In God’s agenda, there is a day called the day of His power—a day when the Church will be reigning and ruling on the earth.
Psalm 110:1-3 says ” The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.”
We are in the days of power in the Church!
We are in the season of the manifestation of the supernatural. In these last days every believer is ordained to walk in dominion and demonstrate God’s power to the world. Through the great display of God’s power all oppositions against us will be subdued.
Psalm 66:3 says “Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.”

To see the greatness of God’s power in our lives, there is a price to pay. It requires commitment to a lifestyle of fervent prayers, purity, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit.
As we accept spiritual responsibility, certainly we will see amazing eruption of God’s power, that will affect the world around us and turn us into a wonder to our generation.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to pay the necessary spiritual price so that I can walk in dominion and experience an eruption of Your power and miracles in my life in Jesus Name

JULY 6; RULE OVER OPPOSITIONS!.

Exodus 14:13 ‘Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today:’

DAILY READING ; 1 Timothy 3; Isaiah 36-37; Psalm 119:97-120

Pastor Ralph Bowen is an American missionary who served in Africa for 20 years. While working in Kabala, a major town in Sierra Leone, he faced a lot of oppositions from the local secret societies.
At that time, Kabala was known as the capital of witchcraft in Sierre Leone, and prominent people including presidents were known to come to Kabala, to seek solutions.
While most people in the region feared these secret societies, Pastor Ralph spoke out boldly against their evil practices. It was unheard of for anyone to publicly oppose them and the Town leaders severally warned pastor Ralph. Being an American, government security chiefs, told him they would not guarantee his safety, if he failed to stop preaching against the secret societies. The head witches also threatened him, but Pastor Ralph stood up to all their intimidation and only spoke more boldly.
As the Sierra Leonean Civil War began in March 1991, and rebel soldiers unleashed a brutal terror across the country, the secret societies in Kabal boasted openly to use their evil powers to defeat the rebels.
On the other hand, Pastor Ralph told the people to trust in God’s divine protection. He warned the secret society leaders that their trust in demonic powers would only be to their detriment. True to his word, less than a week later, the rebel forces attacked Kabala. Ironically the very men who had boasted in their witchcraft powers and often threatened Pastor Ralph, were all killed
But amazingly pastor Ralph and all his Church members who had trusted in God, were preserved. No Church member was killed or injured or suffered property loss during this attack that claimed many lives.

1John 5:19 tells us that ‘the whole world lieth in wickedness.’
To survive and dominate in such a wicked world, we need bold faith in God’s power.
We serve the God who is the mighty Man in battle. He is El Shaddai, which means Almighty God who destroys over powers.
He is Yahweh-Sabaoth, the LORD of Hosts, who has military prowess and is the Mighty Warrior..
Indeed when God arises to fight for you, every enemy must be scattered. This is why we should not fear or fret no matter what cones against us.

Exodus 14:13 says ‘Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today:’

We must refuse to be intimidated by the threats of the wicked.
Rather, through a deeper walk with God, we are to live in faith and power.
It is the power content at work in our lives that makes us to dominate in the midst of our enemies.
Power is the beauty of Christianity. It is the identity and portion of every genuine child of God.
While it is true that we wrestle against spiritual wickedness in high places, through the manifestation of God’s power our enemies shall be subdued.
We live in an era of constant spiritual warfare and to constantly overcome we must understand how to engage our spiritual weapons of warfare. The weapon of the Blood of Jesus enables us to overcome all satanic assaults.

Revelation 12:11 says ‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death’

When we understand that all power belongs to God and all victories come from Him, then we will be assured of victory despite any gang-up of the enemy.
No matter how they gather against you, they will surely fall for your sake.
Whatever you may be confronted with today, in your health, family or finances refuse to fear, but rather keep declaring God’s Word boldly over your life.
Because your trust is in God, you will be preserved, you will overcome and triumph always.

PRAYER: Father, I desire to live a life of victory and dominion. Please enable me to always seek You diligently so that through the manifestation of Your power, I shall indeed rule in the midst of my enemies in Jesus’ Name.

JULY 5; DOMINION THROUGH DIVINE PRESENCE!

Psalms 105:13 – 15 ‘When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.’

DAILY READING • 1 Timothy 2; Isaiah 34-35; Psalm 119:65-96

Gertrude Morse is author of the book ‘The Dogs May Bark: But the Caravan Moves On’. In the book she tells a remarkable story of God’s angelic protection.
In 1921 Gertrude and her husband Russell Morse answered the call of God to become missionaries to Tibet and China. Along with their two young sons, they travelled for the first time into “the closed land” of Tibet to preach the Gospel. They moved in a caravan and had with them some Tibetans who served as their companions on the journey.
Their team was faced with the danger of attacks from bandits who usually terrorized the region. During their first night of the journey they had to quickly move away from the place where they had planned to sleep, when they noticed three very suspicious-looking men hovering around. They feared these men might be spies for a band of robbers, so they shifted their plans and rather stayed the night at a village headman’s house.
The next morning, before they continued their journey, Russell had to send out two men ahead to check their path because bandits were known to occupy the roads to ambush and rob people.
On the second night they camped near a town where Gertrude and Russell Morse, and their children slept very soundly in their tents, while one of their Tibetan companions kept watch for bandits throughout the night.
In the morning, when she woke up, Gertrude asked the man who had been on guard if he had seen any robbers. He replied that he had noticed the movement of robbers, but an excellent watchman had assisted him through the night and the robbers had been unable to attack. He said he did not know the man and by the morning he was gone.
Gertrude and Russell were to later learn that the ‘excellent watchman’ was possibly a part of a company of angels after some local residents approached their team to recount what happened during the night, They narrated how bandits had planned to attack and rob their team that night, but there had been on guard around their camp, very big and tall men who were all dressed in white. When the bandits saw these big men guarding the missionary team, they were frightened, and didn’t dare carry out their intended attack.
When Gertrude and Russell heard this remarkable account, it confirmed to them that God indeed had sent His angels to keep watch over them to protect them from harm as they carried out their missionary work in the foreign land.

Truly the angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him and delivers them. [Psalm 34:7].
As we serve God’s purpose on earth, wherever we go, His Presence surrounds us and shields us from harm. Psalms 105: 15 says God reproves kings for our sakes; Saying, ‘Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.’
We are never alone in the journey of destiny.
God constantly gives us dominion over the forces of wickedness, through His divine Presence. Though the enemy and his agents may plan and plot evil attacks against the righteous, God makes adequate provisions for His people to be delivered and live in victory.
Divine protection is one of the great benefits of serving God. As we walk in obedience to God’s Word and are guided by the Holy Spirit, God gives His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways.
In Exodus 23:23 God says ‘For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites…and I will cut them off’

Daily, God goes before us to cut off the enemy’s attacks. As we sleep and wake up each day, God who never sleeps nor slumbers constantly watches over us. Because of His divine protection, we do not have to fret or worry about what may be happening in the world. Though the wicked may gather against us, for our sakes, God will cause them to fall.
Indeed God is committed to fighting for us and giving us the victory.
Isaiah 31: 4-5 says ‘….so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.’
It is certainly, God’s will to continually preserve and protect us. This month, as we give Him worthy praise, His Presence will always surround us to give us dominion over every enemy of our destiny. Everything that has been a hindrance to our progress and wellbeing, God is certainly giving us dominion over them in this season. Every attack against our health, finances, family etc will all be subdued and we will stand strong and victorious.
In this second half of the year, as we keep praising and thanking God for the great and mighty things He is set to do, certainly His divine Presence will make all the difference in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to praise and bless You at all times so that I can be constantly surrounded by Your Presence. Thank You Lord for indeed granting me dominion and victory over every challenge in Jesus Name

JULY 4; DOMINION BY THE WORD!

Deuteronomy 28:12-13 ‘And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God ‘:

DAILY READING – • 1 Timothy 1; Isaiah 31-33; Psalm 119:33-64

Cher Wang is the founder of the HTC Corporation. She was born into a family of successful business moguls. Her father ran a plastic empire until his death at the age of 92, while her sister co-founded motherboard maker First International Computer in 1980.
After graduating from the University of California, Cher Wang worked for her sister’s company. As a devout Christian Cher Wang chose to depend on God to help her succeed rather than depend on her rich family. She said that in her career, she never got a cent from her wealthy father. She diligently studied God’s Word, and would get up at 5:30 each morning and spend several hours in praying and meditation on God’s Word. According to her, one of the most important things she has gained through constant meditation in the Bible is Vision. This vision led to the starting of her own company, HTC.
While working for her sister’s company, during her many business trips to Europe, Wang realized that personal computers were inconvenient to carry around. She felt there was a need for handheld devices that could easily fit inside a briefcase. This proved to be the idea that eventually led to the birth of HTC.
Her company began by building laptops, and then later went into building mobile phones. Over the years, Cher Wang’s company built a strong reputation of being the official manufacturer of handheld devices for all top mobile phone brands. It also became the largest selling mobile phone brand at AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and Sprint
Wang’s spiritual lifestyle has built up in her faith that has enabled her to dominate in business.
The New York Times reports that her Christian faith is a significant factor in Cher Wang’s life and business choices. She has been widely quoted as saying that the Bible is “the best book about management practice”.
Faith and hard work led to Cher Wang and husband Wen Chi Chen being ranked by Forbes magazine in May 2011 as the wealthiest persons in Taiwan, with a net worth of US$8.8 billion.
Cher Wang said the insights she receives from God’s Word, enables her to carry on and forge ahead in life.

When we truly serve God and follow Biblical principles, we will end up above and never beneath.
We don’t need to depend on any man to make it in life, absolute dependency on God is the sure foundation for unending breakthroughs in our pursuits.
When we sincerely serve God and seek the interests of His Kingdom, He will grant us dominion in our endeavors.
God is behind every enduring breakthrough in life. Certainly, the race is not to the swift, neither is the battle to the strong, favour is not to men of skilful or understanding, It is God that determines the events of every man’s life.[ Ecclesiastes 9:11]
It is the grace of God that makes great and when we learn to rely on Him, we shall never fail!
We serve a covenant-keeping God, who says in Psalm 89:34, ‘My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips’
When we keep our part of the covenant by serving God, He keeps His part by prospering us.
One of the ways that God prospers and elevates us is through visions and divine ideas.
Through divine ideas, Joseph, a prisoner was elevated to the prime minister of one of the most powerful nations of the ancient world.
Through the divine ideas, God elevates us to prominence and we become the head in our endeavors.
One of the prominent blessings of obedience to God is financial dominion. Deuteronomy 28:12-13 says ‘: …and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath…’
When we diligently hearken to God’s Word and follow His principles, He will set us up above all nations to be the head and enjoy dominion.
Success is not an issue of chance, but of choice. We make our way prosperous and command good success by our choice to take responsibility (Joshua 1:8).
Therefore today, let us make the choice to meditate day and night on God’s Word. As we do, we will receive the wisdom to succeed in life.
This month as we focus on pleasing God, by constantly giving Him high praises, surely He will take us to our high places and we will enjoy dominion and all-round success.
PRAYER;
Lord, Please grant me the grace to diligently meditate in Your word throughout this month. As I do, I thank You for causing me to enjoy dominion and unprecedented success in all my endeavors in Jesus Name.

JULY 3; KEEP STANDING STRONG!

Job 23:10 ‘But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.’

DAILY READING 2 Thessalonians 3; Isaiah 29-30; Psalm 119:1-32

John Bunyan was one of England’s most famous writers who was also a Puritan preacher. He carried out his pastoral duties so well that he was nicknamed “Bishop Bunyan.”
Bunyan was a fearless man who refused to stop preaching even in the face of great opposition.
In 1660, in England, religious freedom came to an abrupt end when King Charles II mounted the throne. Anglicanism was designated as the official state religion. It became illegal to conduct church services outside of the Church of England and unlicensed individuals were forbidden from addressing a religious gathering.
However, Bunyan would not bow to these laws and continued to preach the Gospel. In November 1660 Bunyan was preaching in a private home when he learned that a warrant for his arrest had been made out. Though warned of the danger, he continued to preach, until officers arrived and arrested him for preaching without a license. His growing popularity, though, prompted the judge to seek some sort of a compromise. He promised Bunyan immediate release if he only promised not to preach again. But Bunyan replied, “If you release me today, I shall preach tomorrow!”
Bunyan was eventually arrested three times, for preaching without a license and spent over twelve years in prison. At any time during those years, he could have secured his freedom by simply promising not to preach. But Bunyan knew God’s calling on his life and so he adamantly refused to compromise his convictions.
Amazingly, he wrote an all-time best seller while serving in prison. In those prison years Bunyan wrote the book ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’. Its immediate success and ongoing popularity made it a Christian classic and the second most read book in English literature after the Bible.

We must be always willing to stand for the truth of the Gospel no matter what it may cost us. Sometimes we may get thrown into the fire for not compromising our faith. But even at those times when it seems we are being persecuted for righteousness sake, God promises to see us through. He says in Isaiah 43:2 “When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The flames will not harm you’
When we are persecuted for the sake of Christ, even in the fire, God will be there as the fourth man to carry out a rescue operation. Certainly God will honor those that honor Him.
If perhaps today, you find yourself wrongly accused, judged unfairly and going through a trial of faith, but be assured that God will see you through and you will come forth as gold.

Job 23:10 says ‘But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.’

Indeed you may go through the fire, but you will not be burned. God’s grace upon you will be proven because you will survive. As you remain faithful and continue to choose to please God rather than man, God will honor you. God will show you His exceeding goodness. You may go through the fire today, but you are coming out stronger and better. What the enemy meant for evil, God will surely turn it all around for you good. God will bring to you restoration and renewal.

Job 42:10 says ‘And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

God gave Job, double for his troubles. Likewise God will turn around every captivity for you, and multiply you exceedingly and abundantly. God will grant you dominion over your enemies and for all you have been through, you will surely receive double for all your troubles.

PRAYER Lord please grant me renewed appetite for Your Word so that I can draw the strength to stand in faith against oppositions. Thank You Lord for always granting me dominion over challenges in Jesus Name.

JULY 2; THE DOMINION POWER OF LIGHT!

Psalm 119:130 “The entrance of Thy Words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple’.

DAILY READING ; 2 Thessalonians 2; Isaiah 27-28; Psalm 118

On the night of May 1, 2011, the sky was moonless as two Black Hawk helicopters flew toward a walled compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A power outage that drenched the city in blackness, further made the conditions perfect for the Navy SEAL team’s operation that night. No one detected the 23 Navy SEALs as they fast-roped from the helicopter to the ground. Under the cover of darkness, they crept toward the home of the world’s most wanted man and stormed inside. The goal: kill or capture Osama bin.
It took the team just 38 minutes to blast its way into bin Laden’s bunker, annihilate him and complete their operation.
This operation code named ‘Operation Neptune Spear’, was the culmination of years of calculated planning and training. It would become one of U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six’s most successful operations. The ability to see in the dark made it possible.
The American intelligence had planned the attack on Bin Laden with the lunar cycle and scheduled it to be on a night that would be moonless. The conditions were also enhanced by a power outage that threw the city into total darkness. While the darkness hindered others from seeing, the Navy seal team used night-vision devises to see clearly and carry out their operation.
Due to its unmatched night-vision technology, for decades, the U.S. military has prided itself on “owning the night”
Normally at night, an army’s fighting ability is reduced to about 10 percent because of the darkness, but the US often uses Night Vision Devices to a great advantage to conduct operations at night unhindered by the darkness.
During the Gulf war of 1990, night-vision devices were declared the “single greatest mismatch” that gave US military undue advantage and victory over Iraq.

Indeed light gives advantage in warfare.
In spiritual warfare we gain advantage over the enemy by operating by the light of God’s Word. At a time when the whole world lies in darkness, God’s Word will be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.

Isaiah 60:2-3 says ‘For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee’

While people in the world are hindered by darkness, and cannot see their way forward, through the light of God’s Word, we will always know what to do and shall continue to move forward. Our path like a shining light, will be brighter and brighter.
To enjoy the dominion of light, we must continually connect to God’s Word because it is the entrance of His Word that gives light.

Psalm 119:130 says “The entrance of Thy Words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple’.

God’s Word is our source of divine light. When we are full of God’s Word, our light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend it. In other words, the forces of darkness can never overcome us. We become an impossible case that they cannot handle. Therefore whatever trial or challenge you may face today, through the light of God’s Word, you can have the dominion. Indeed light and darkness can never struggle for right of place.
In this new month of July, let us constantly allow God’s Word to gain entrance into our hearts and minds. As we diligently study the Word, our lives will be flooded with the light of revelation.
As this divine light dominates our lives, we will have the advantage and victory over every challenge.
Truly, the light of God’s Word will greatly distinguish us in these last days. As the gross darkness covers the earth, we shall arise and shine, because our light has come.

PRAYER: Lord, as I study Your Word please grant me the revelations I need to live in dominion and walk in victory. In this new month of July, I thank You Lord for illuminating my life with Your glory in Jesus name.

JULY 1; DESTINED FOR DOMINION!

Psalm‬ ‭110:1-2‬ ‭ “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.”

In 1993, Frank Reich made News headlines by orchestrating the biggest comeback in history of America’s National football league.
Frank Reich is celebrated as one of America’s greatest football players ever. He began making history, while still a student of the University of Maryland. In 1984, he led his college team to the biggest comeback win in college football history.
Then just nine years later, in January 1993, Frank Reich again led the biggest comeback game in the history of NFL.
This remarkable game took place in November 1993 between the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Oilers.
In the first and second half of the game, Frank’s team, the Buffalo Bills had done very poorly. Their opponents, the Houston Oilers were dominating the game with a big gap. To everyone watching the game, it appeared the Buffalos were about to lose the game. But Frank, as a Christian with strong faith in God, refused to accept defeat or give up hope.
Though, his team’s scores were down, and it seemed all hope was lost, Frank relied on Christ for a miracle.
Close to the end of the game, the Houston Oilers had 35 points, while Frank’s team, the Buffalos, had only 3 points. At this point, many disappointed Buffalo Bills fans, began leaving the stadium and heading home.
But then, suddenly, the game miraculously changed.
In a span of only 6 minutes and 52 seconds, Frank Reich scored points that drastically cut down the gaping gap between them and the Houston Oilers. In a blink of an eye, the Buffalo Bills not only equalized, but also went ahead to win the game with 41 points while the Houston Oilers had 38 points.
It was a win that stunned every spectator in the stadium! This match made history as the largest come-from-behind victory. It is a game now simply known as ‘The Comeback.’
Ever since then, Frank Reich has been wildly celebrated for his amazing winning streak. But he continually gives all the glory to God for always granting him victory and dominion even in the face of impossible odds.

While it is true that we are bound to sometimes encounter tough situations, but much more important is the fact that through Christ we are destined to triumph in the end.
Therefore we must not vacillate in our belief when we face tough battles. As long as we remain strong in faith, it is only a matter of time before things miraculously turn around.
When David was anointed king over all Judah and Israel, he faced a battle at the Valley of Rephaim, which means “giants.” He was faced by enemies that were greater than him. But as David prayed, God gave him dominion and victory over the Philistines. David then renamed the valley of giants and called it Baal-perazim, which means “the God of the breakthrough.”
Through faith in God, we can defeat giants and experience breakthroughs instead of breakdowns.
No matter how tough the battle that faces us, because we are born of God we are born to overcome.
Dominion is the heritage of every child of God.
This is what Christ purchased for us at Calvary by His Blood. According to Revelation 5:9-10, He has redeemed us to be kings and to reign on the earth. Christ shed His Blood to ensure we are never victims, but rather victors in life.
We are not meant to suffer defeat because it is God’s plan to always make our enemies our footstool.[ Psalm‬ ‭110:1-2‬ ‭].
We are to be the head and not the tail, above only and never beneath. We are redeemed to dominate over life’s challenges and over every negative thing. That is our portion as children of God.
The top is where we belong by destiny, we need to be very conscious of this fact, and know what it takes to get there. Our level of dominion is a function of our depth of understanding about our position in Christ.
Knowledge of God’s Word makes us partakers of His divine nature and this is what gives us dominion on the earth. Just as God cannot suffer defeat, His children are not meant to be defeated.
In this new month of July, it is our season to experience victory and dominion. In this second half of the year, we are going to see turnaround miracles that cannot be explained.
No matter any defeat you may have suffered in the first half of the year, it is your season to experience miraculous victory.. Let us therefore keep giving God all the glory for it is indeed our season to emerge triumphant over every challenge.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for bringing me into this New month of July. By Your grace I shall have the dominion over every challenge and emerge as more than a conqueror in every battle in Jesus Name. .

JUNE 30; FAITH TO DO EXPLOITS!

Hebrews 11;1-2 ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.’

DAILY READING; 1 Thessalonians 5; Isaiah 23-24; Psalm 116

Pastor John Hagee is a globally known Televangelist. He is the founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church, in San Antonio, Texas.
In the beginning years of his ministry, he was unknown and it seemed he could not make any headway in life. But he nursed great visions within him , despite the fact that he lacked the resources and wherewithal for their accomplishments. One day, while attending a convention, he felt a strong compulsion to write down these visions and trust God for their fulfilment. He then wrote down in the back cover of his Bible these visions he had for his ministry. He wrote that one day he would have a television ministry that would reach the nations of the world. This vision became fulfilled by 2015, as more than a hundred nations began hooking up to watch live services and other programs of Cornerstone church in San Antonio, Texas.
Pastor Hagee also wrote on the back cover of his Bible that Cornerstone Church would have a conference center with a campground where people would receive training, teachings, and deliverance. That vision also has become a reality today and is located in Tarpley, Texas.
Pastor Hagee wrote down that the ministry would build a school which would be a place to raise up godly children with a Christ-centered education. That vision became a reality in 1993 as Cornerstone Christian Schools.
Pastor Hagee wrote each of these dreams down just as Habakkuk 2 instructed to write down the vision and make it plain. He laid these dreams before the Lord and despite great challenges and battles he had to fight, God has faithfully fulfilled every single one of those visions.
Today, on his office wall hangs the back cover of the Bible where he had first written down his vision while in a Conference in the early 90s. It is a constant reminder to him that faith indeed works and God always does what He says He will do.

Due to the challenges we often face, we may sometimes wonder if our dreams and visions would ever come to pass.
But we have to understand that the journey of destiny is a walk of faith.
Though you may not have enough resources or qualification, when you desire to please God, and walk in obedience, He will work in and through you to accomplish His will on earth.
Despite what may look like obstacles and inadequacies, as you continue to trust God, He can accomplish great things through you..
Our vision comes to pass according to the level of our faith. The height of every vision is a function of the depth of faith that is at work. Faith is what eventually gives substance to the ideas in our hearts that may initially appear impossible and unattainable.

Hebrews 11;1 ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’

Faith is a spiritual perspective that makes your vision real despite the odds against you. It makes the future so bright and so possible to you, that you despise current challenges. It is a deep inner confidence that makes you see the invisible and call those things that be not as though they were.
Faith moves us to act. It always leaves us with a responsibility, because faith without works is dead.
When we are moved to act on what God commands, He becomes committed to perform.
To step into the fullness of our destiny, and see our dreams and visions come to pass, faith is indeed a great neccessity. Meditating on Scriptures paints the pictures of possibilities that propells us forward despite obstacles and setbacks. When our natural reasoning is telling us, “It’s never going to work out” knowledge of God’s faithfulness from His Word emboldens us to keep pressing forward.
No matter the hindrances and limitations, God can take us beyond our wildest dreams.
It is not about our strength, it is about God who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Certainly, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask, think or imagine.
Therefore, on this last day of June, let us remain full of hope and expectant about what God wants to do in our lives.
And as we keep praising Him and keep walking in faith and obedience, it is only a matter of time before we see our visions come to pass and arrive at that glorious place God has destined for us.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to stop focusing on limitations, challenges or obstacles. Certainly, through Christ I can do all things and attain the glorious heights You destined for me in Jesus Name. .
