Psalm 30:11 ‘Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;’

DAILY READING; Revelation 17; Isaiah 1-2; Psalm 108

In 2017, Kayode Adewumi was threatened by Boko Haram terrorists. Trouble started when Kayode, who had a printing business in Abuja, refused to print materials for the terrorists. Later on, they showed up at his home with guns, threatening to shoot his wife. Kayode then relocated his family to Akure, Nigeria. But he was shocked to find that the terrorists still traced him to his new location.
Then the family went on the run and eventually secured visas and a flight to Texas to stay with relatives. In America, they landed in a homeless shelter in Manhattan. Kayode, became a dishwasher and Uber driver, while his wife Oluwatoyin, cleaned buildings.
Their young son, eight-year-old Tani who was in third grade, joined the chess club. Tani learned to play chess and develop a passion for it. As he mastered the game Tani desired to begin to win trophies.
His mother, prayed and joined faith with him, as they believed God to help him to find success. Tani would often pray and praise God to give him trophies. As the little boy worked hard and kept faith in God, things began to turn around.
In March 2019, Tani’s coaches decided to take him along with their school team to the New York state championship. They didn’t expect him to go far in the championship, but then a miracle happened.
Out of 73 players, 8-year-old Tani came out on top and won the New York State chess championship. He had won this championship less than a year after he learned to play chess.
God had answered Tani’s prayers and gave him the trophy he had been believing for. That was the beginning of something phenomenal. As Tani and his family’s story was reported in the media, it grabbed the hearts of the public and soon they received $250,000 within ten days! Tani’s father was given a brand-new car and someone rented an apartment for them for a year. Tani has continued to climb the rating ladder, astounding many by his talent in playing chess. Though his family had been refugees escaping a terrorist group, Tani Adewumi, is now a household name in the chess world. He and his parents share their journey in their book, “My Name is Tani and I Believe in Miracles.”

Miracles are real!
God knows how to turn around what was meant for evil for our good. Genesis 50:20 shows us that He is truly a turnaround God. He dramatically caused the plans of Joseph’s brothers to backfire and turned things around in Joseph’s favor.
In Psalm 30:11 David said “Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;’
God changed the story of David from a mere shepherd boy to become a national hero at 17 years old. The harassment of goliath, presented the opportunity for David to defeat him and ascend the throne.
Indeed through faith in God, stumbling blocks can become stepping stones. Challenges are just opportunities in disguise. It’s a matter of perspective. Through faith, we can look beyond obvious challenges and see God at work. God often uses problems as opportunities to show who He is and what He’s capable of doing.
In John chapter 9, the disciples saw a man blind from his birth and they asked Jesus: Who sinned? This man or his parents? “Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him…” (John 9:3).
Indeed challenges are opportunities for the works of God to be displayed in our lives.
In this season, the God who turned the Red Sea into dry land for His people to pass through, will certainly turn things around in your favor. Sickness will be turned into health, trials will turn into triumphs, lack into abundance, struggle into ease.
That is what God is set to do in your life. You’re coming into a turnaround season. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy is coming in the morning. As you believe, you are about to see the hand of God do things that are unusual, uncommon and extraordinary.
Faith is the key factor for a sudden change of story because all things are possible to him that believes. .
It is therefore time for us to get into agreement with God’s Word so as to experience a miraculous change of story. It doesn’t matter what things may look like in the natural, we serve a supernatural God. And as we remain strong in faith and keep giving glory to God, surely, He will suddenly turn things around and give us beauty in the place of ashes.

PRAYER: Lord, I Thank You for the turnaround miracles You are set to do in my life. I thank You Lord, for going beyond my expectations and doing exceedingly, abundantly, above all I could ever imagine in Jesus Name.
