DECEMBER 9; POSITIONED TO MANIFEST GOD’S GLORY

Psalm 34:1 ‘I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth’.

DAILY READING • Acts 4:1-22; Deuteronomy 19-20; Job 13

Science tells us that the Moon only reflects the light of the Sun in accordance with its orbital position. The shining of the moon at night is the reflection of the sun bouncing off the surface of the moon, appearing to us on Earth as moonlight. So the light we see coming from the Moon at night is an illusion, it is actually the reflected light from the Sun, bouncing off the Moon. This is like flashing a torchlight at a mirror and seeing the reflection elsewhere.
The moon doesn’t have a light of its own, It only borrows from the magnanimous sun, and simply positions itself at a particular angle to the sun and shines. The Moon is actually very dark – like coal, and it doesn’t even glow on its own. Its surface is of a dark grey color. and because of its dark color and bumpy surface, it only reflects about 12% of the light that hits it. Indeed, the moon would have been just a dull orb if not for the sun’s rays. The sun generates the heat and light, while the moon simply positions itself rightly to reflect the sun’s glory.

Just as the moon shines because of its positioning to the sun, for us to shine we must stay rightly positioned to the Son of righteousness. Our shinning is not from us, rather it is from Christ in us, the hope of Glory. The closer we are to the Lord, the more our lives will shine. When Moses stayed long in God’s Presence his face began to shine.
It is through being with God in the place of prayer and intimate fellowship that His glory rubs off on us.

Psalm 34:5 says ‘They looked unto Him and their face was lightened, and they were not ashamed’.

We can never see shame as long as we stay connected to the Lord. He is our source of light and glory. We are guaranteed success in life when we constantly abide in God’s Presence. And one way we do that is through the unending flow of praise from our lips.

Psalm 34:1 says ‘I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth’.

When we bless The LORD at all times, prophecies are fulfilled. When you praise continually, supernatural doors open and chains are broken.
When we turn up our praise, like Hezekiah, we are going to see an increase in our years and Like Jonah, we are going to break out of every fish belly of limitation and bondage and fulfill God’s call. Like Joshua, every Jericho wall of resistance will come tumbling down and we will march into our Promised Land.
This month as we rightly position ourselves in God’s Presence through praise, surely, His glory shall be reflected on us and we will shine among men.

PRAYER: Lord, I choose to praise You at all times, knowing that indeed You are at work in my life.
I thank You for causing me to experience a ‘fearful’ fulfillment of every prophetic word concerning me this year in Jesus Name.

DECEMBER 8; GOD IS IN CONTROL

!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ‘Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.’

DAILY READING – Acts 3; Deuteronomy 17-18; Job 12

Eric Ramsey is current president of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists and president of Tom Cox World Ministries in Mountainburg, Arkansas. He is an adventurous evangelist who is dedicated to serving unreached people around the world. With the unreached people groups mostly in restrictive countries, Eric Ramsey and his team often face dangerous situations.
On one trip in Asia, they were in a remote area closed to tourists looking for a certain unreached people group.
As they hiked through the jungle, the team noticed a strange sight.
It was a 10,000 kw of electricity going into the mountain. They took a picture of it, but soon realized it was a military establishment. Having been seen on CCTV camera, in about 22 minutes two government military vehicles pulled up and detained the team and placed them in one vehicle. Apparently, they had stumbled upon a munitions facility.
Eric Ramsey hid his cell phone in his boot and managed to get a text off to his wife asking her to pray for them.
His wife immediately got the word out to their prayer network.
In the back of the enclosed paddy wagon traveling down a windy dirt road, one of the men on Ramsey’s team began to experience motion sickness.
Ramsey told their captors they needed to stop before the man threw up in the van.
As they approached an outdoor market they had visited previously, Ramsey asked the driver if they could get down there. Surprisingly, the military driver pulled over and let them out. Even more astonishing, the driver let them retrieve their backpacks. This could be nothing other than an answer to prayers.
Speaking in Pig Latin, the team agreed to meet at a particular spot in 11 minutes. The men scattered through the market while their driver waited at the van for them. Precisely on the appointed time, they met at agreed spot and from there ran into the woods, moving as fast as they could, knowing the military would track them.
Out in the middle of nowhere, the men prayed a bold prayer, asking God to send them a big van that would rescue them.
Few minutes later, a white van suddenly appeared out of nowhere and pulled up next to them.
It was an Australian driving a 12-passenger van.“Hey mates, need a ride?”the man called out to them.
The team could hardly believe their eyes. God had indeed sent them deliverance.
They clambered into the van and eventually made their way to safety.
The team continues to see many such miracles as they coordinate mission projects in 124 countries, winning many souls to Christ, and planting new churches.

We must never give up hope–even when things look their worst, because God is in control!
There are times it may feel like your back is up against a wall and, it seems there is no way you can make it. But you must understand that God is the God of the Impossible. He can and will help you.
In every situation, you can be sure that the faithful God who called you, is able to do it.
God will never put on you more than you can bear. And sometimes, tribulation is only an indication of the grace He has given you to overcome the situation.

Psalm 34:19-20 says ‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken..’

Certainly, when God is with us we will not need to fear or become dismayed. He is able to handle whatever comes our way.
There is no night so dark, His light cannot penetrate.
In situations where you don’t know what to do, always trust that God knows what to do. Just turn over the battle to Him through prayer and thanksgiving.
As long as we are sincere in following Him, He will certainly take of us. Whatsoever we desire, no matter how small or big, God is able to accomplish. Divine help is only a prayer away.
As long as you are on the Lord’s side, you are certainly on the winning side.

In Isaiah 41:10 God says ‘Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.’

Certainly, God is too faithful to fail. In every situation just maintain your praise. Stay in faith and keep giving glory to God.
At those times, when everything seems to be contrary and there seems no reason to be thankful, those are the very moments we should offer unto God worthy praise.
Rejoicing and being thankful in everything is God’s will for us. As long as you are praising God, the red sea will never swallow you. The storm will not stop you and the billows will not blow you away.
Today, let us keep blessing the Lord at all times. As we do, we will soon see downpours of favor, blessings, and abundance of God’s signs and wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You that this month, is my season to experience speedy accomplishments and enjoy an overflow of divine abundance. By Your grace what looks impossible to men will become possible in my life in this season in Jesus Name. .

DECEMBER 7; KEEP YOUR HEART DILIGENTLY.

Proverbs 4: 23 ‘Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.’

DAILY READING • Acts 2:14-47; Deuteronomy 15-16; Job 11

In 1628, the Swedish warship, named ‘Vasa’ was Sweden’s greatest military ship.
It was the world’s most high-tech warship. It was heralded as the greatest warship of its time. Yet this ship sank within 20 minutes of its maiden voyage on 10 August 1628 after being hit by strong winds and flooding.
It was believed that one of the reasons why this ship sank so easily was because the Captain had allowed the gun ports to remain open when the ship set off.
Shortly after the ship had set sail, a strong gust of wind struck it. This wind pushed the ship so far over on its port side that water began to pour in through the open gunports. As the water rushed in through the holes, this very powerful ship became flooded and began to sink.
Though the captain ordered the gunports closed, it was too late because too much water had entered into the ship. And within minutes, and less than a mile into its journey, the ship had sunk to the sea bed at a depth of 32 metres.
The mistake of leaving the gun ports open had made the water to gain quick assess. If they had been closed, the water could not have poured in so rapidly and the ship might have remained afloat and survived.

We must keep our heart closed to the negative things that try to gain access to it. Indeed we must keep our heart diligently, because like a ship at sea, oftentimes it is what gains access to a man’s heart that brings him down.
It is a known fact that ships don’t sink because of the water around them; rather ships sink because of the water that gets into them. It has been said an entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world can’t weigh you down unless you allow it to get inside you.
Today, you may be casting your mind back and looking at some things that had failed to work . Especially with the end of the year so close you may become weighed down because you have not achieved all your goals. But that should not be our attitude, rather we should keep judging God faithful and keep praising Him for all He has done.
Indeed God has been good to us, and we have been kept all through this remarkable year, only by His mercy and grace. So despite, the challenges that may seem to surround you, never allow the things happening on the outside to get on the inside of you and weigh you down. As long as you continue to keep your heart strong in God, you will eventually overcome them all. As long as your faith does not fail, you cannot fail.
In Mathew 14, though the storm raged around Peter, as long as he kept his focus on the Master and his faith was strong, he could walk on water. It was only when he allowed fear to access his heart that he began to sink.
Indeed no matter what is going on externally we must ensure our heart remains strong in God, as we continually give Him all the glory. When your heart is full of faith, you will be filled with joy and gratitude. Indeed our ability to stand, despite the storms of life is a result of the state of our heart.
This is why we must constantly feed on God’s Word so as to be strengthened with might in our inner man. When your heart is strong in God, you will always be unshakeable and immovable in every situation.
Whatever may be coming against you today in your health, your career, your finances or relationships; you shall surely overcome by the power in the Blood of Jesus.
Truly by the power in the Blood you will always emerge more than a conqueror over every conflict in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Father please help me to always keep my heart filled with Your Word, so that I can remain strong in faith. I thank You that no matter what comes my way, through faith in the Blood of Jesus, I am an overcomer in every situation in Jesus Name.

DECEMBER 6; TAKE THE POSITION OF VICTORY!

2Chronicles 20:17[NIV] ‘You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’

DAILY READING: Acts 2:1-13; Deuteronomy 13-14; Job 10

The British evangelist, Smith Wigglesworth greatly manifested the power of God wherever he went. He was often invited to minister in several countries across the globe.
In1920, he was invited to minister in Sweden, and his preaching was accompanied with amazing manifestations of power, diverse healings and miracles.
However, these divine healings angered some people and they began speaking against Wigglesworth. Eventually two policemen were sent to arrest him on a warrant that he was healing the people without a license. These policemen went to the house of the minister of a Pentecostal Assembly at Godivil, where Wigglesworth was staying. He said to them: “Mr. Wigglesworth is away just now, but before you arrest him I would like to show you one result of his ministry in this place.” He took the two policemen down to the lowest quarter in the town to the house of a woman whom they had arrested time and time again for drunken brawls, a woman who spent most of her time behind prison walls. This minister said: “This woman came to one of our meetings in a state of drunkenness. While she was there in this condition Mr. Wigglesworth laid his hands on her and asked God to deliver her… God has healed her and delivered her from drunkenness.” The woman spoke for herself and said to the policemen, “God saved my soul at that time, and from that moment I have not had the slightest desire for liquor.”
The police officers, amazed by the woman’s testimony immediately said they would no longer arrest Wigglesworth and that ended the matter.

We need to let our results speak for us. Nobody can argue with positive results. We must let God’s power in our lives generate exceptional testimonies that will silence our detractors.
The truth is that the higher God takes you, the more people are going to see you. And sometimes instead of celebrating you people will get jealous, try to pull you down and get you into conflict. Refuse to take the bait – it’s a distraction. Rather, stay focused on your purpose.
When you have heard from God, go forth in boldness and carry out His assignment and let the results speak for you; only fools doubt proofs.
Don’t allow the oppositions to discourage you from pushing forward with your visions and dreams. Giving heed to the opposition will only cause you to lose your position. If you listen to naysayers you will not make much progress.
Understand that nobody talks about people that aren’t doing anything significant. The reason they’re talking about you is because you’re a difference maker, you’re a world changer, they can see the gifts, the grace, the favor on your life.
Truly, God is doing a new thing, He’s going to take you further than your peers, further than those that have gone before you.
Therefore you must stay focused on God’s purpose and allow Him fight your battles for you.
And one way we get God to fight for us is by positioning ourselves in praise.
Certainly, as we take up our positions to continually worship God in spirit and in truth this month, our lives will generate amazing results.
We will not need to fight for ourselves, rather The Lord will arise to take care of every opposition and perfect all that concerns us.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to always praise You in every situation. Thank You Lord for manifesting such amazing results in my life that will truly turn me into a wonder to my world in Jesus Name.

DECEMBER 5; IT PAYS TO OBEY GOD!

Isaiah 1:19 ‘If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:’

DAILY READING; Acts 1; Deuteronomy 11-12; Job 9

Jacob Chamberlain is the author of the book, ‘In the Tiger Country and Other Stories of Missionary Work Among the Telugus of India.’
This book records a number of his adventures as he served for 37 years as a missionary to the Telugu people of India.
One day Jacob Chamberlain was to make a trip overland for several miles through heavy jungles. Before he left on the trip, he knelt down and prayed to God for protection beause the jungle road was dangerous. Many people had lost their lives from the wild animals that infested the region. The missionary was to take with him two cartloads of Bibles for distribution during the long journey of two and half months.
Standing upon God’s promises, Chamberlain started through the jungles with about three native assistants. After several days they came to a section of the jungle that was flooded everywhere. The river was thirty feet higher than usual and consequently overflowed its banks. There was literally no way to turn.
Jacob Chamberlain realized that only a miracle would save his life and the lives of his companions.
Already they could hear the fierce, hungry roar of the tigers in the rattan jungle at their right. As Jacob Chamberlain cried out to God to save them, he heard a distinct voice as though spoken in his ear by a human friend, say “Turn to the left to the Godavery River and you will find rescue.”
When he inquired about Godavery River and asked if there was a village on its banks, the guides told him there were no villages for many miles. When two more times he heard the divine instruction to turn left and go towards Godavery river, he told the guides ” show us the shortest way to the Godavery river and be quick about it.”
The guides protested strongly, feeling they would be worse off in that direction. Nevertheless when Chamberlain insisted, they obeyed. As they turned left and arrived at the river, there they found a large, boat fastened to the shore, with two men on it trying to keep it afloat in the rising and falling current.
On inquiry the men said that they were working under the British government. They said a rolling wave had come down the river and sent the boat into the current. They had fought all day to keep it from coming to the Godavery River, but it seemed as if a supernatural power was driving the boat on until it finally floated to the spot where they were, about an hour ago.
Immediately the missionary recognized that the boat had been miraculously sent to rescue them from the flooded region. That was why, three times God had said to him, “Turn to the left to the Godavery and you will find rescue.”
All he had to do was simply trust and obey and God took care of the rest. Jacob Chamberlain bowed his head in amazed reverence and thanked God for the special answer to their prayers.

If you come to a cross road on the journey of destiny, always know that the path of obedience to God is the safest path to follow. Indeed God’s instructions delivers from destructions.
When we venture out, based on what God has told us, though the risk may be high, the fact that we obeyed, commits God to our deliverance.
Every act of obedience is passing the test that results in our change of level.
Obedience is always the story behind the glory. All the giants of faith who succeeded in life, were ordinary men, made extraordinary by obedience to God. Some of the instructions God gave Abraham appeared too dangerous but he kept obeying God and it was counted as righteousness for him and he became a trans-generational celebrity. Indeed when we are willing and obedient, surely we shall eat the good of the land.
This month as we obey the divine mandate to praise and worship God, certainly, we shall see inexplicable signs and wonders.
As the year draws to an end it is a good time to look back and recount the faithfulness of God. Indeed God has been good. Never mind some of the negative things that may seem to have happened. The only reason why you survived the things that came against you this year was because God is on your side.
You know that sickness could have killed you, yet you survived. That financial situation could have driven you crazy, yet God made a way.
God is indeed good all the time. This is why in everything we keep praising Him and judging Him faithful.
And in this last month of December, no matter how contrary any situation, let us keep our focus on the greatness of the God we serve. He is the God of miracles to whom nothing is impossible. Even in these remaining few days of the year, God is able to compress time for you and do incredible miracles in your life that will truly cause men to marvel and wonder.

PRAYER: lord, I thank You for granting me the grace to always walk in Obedience to Your every instruction. As I praise You continuously in this season, I thank You for doing inexplicable signs and wonders in my life in Jesus Name.

DECEMBER 4; FOR THOU ART WITH ME!

Psalm 23:4 ‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.’

DAILY READING; • Matthew 28; Deuteronomy 9-10; Job 8

John Mahony, a retired U.S. Army colonel was managing projects for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, on the morning of September 11, 2001.
Mahony was working on the 19th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center that morning.
Suddenly, the building jerked hard, throwing everyone off balance.
Mahony directed his co-workers to a stairway and headed down through what was quickly a haze of smoke and dust.
At that moment, his daily habit of saying the Lord’s Prayer bobbed to the surface of Mahony’s mind, providing a grillwork of stability in the midst of the writhing building.
As he stepped into that smoky stairway, the Lord’s Prayer ran through his mind; over and over and over: ‘Thy will be done.’
Prayer stabilized Mahony in the midst of the chaos.
With hundreds of others, Mahony and his office mates trudged downstairs through the smoky air, grateful that the lights and ventilation remained on.
As he walked down that stair, somewhere between the 12th floor and the 10th, he felt wrapped in warmth, and love, and comfort. In that smoky, wet stairway, in a burning building, surrounded by a thousand frightened people; he felt the wonder of God’s love and peace, and he knew that regardless of the physical outcome, everything would be all right.
Outside, he ran into what seemed like a scene from an post-apocalyptic movie: cars on fire, chunks of metal and glass in the street, lots of chaos, everywhere. He had just crossed the street to the far side when the sound of jet engines made him look up. The second jet collided with the second tower and he saw hundreds of bodies falling through the air because people above the crash chose to jump.
Then the first tower collapsed, and thousands of cement particles went into Mahony’s nose, eyes, and ears and down his shirt.
As Mahony was trapped on the south side of the building, the tip of Manhattan at Battery Park, all he could do was watch and pray.
As his prayers continued, Jesus seemed so close. Despite the horror of that day, Mahony reached a deeper sense of the abiding compassion of Jesus and the peace of God, even in the midst of death and destruction.
Finally he was able to escape from the mayhem of the collapsed towers and got to a place of safety. Out of all that transpired that tragic day, he learned a deep lesson about the priceless gift of having God’s Presence.

Survival is not about what is happening physically, but about where you are standing spiritually. When you abide with God, He will be your shelter and strength in the distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. [Isaiah 25:4].
Surely God is our ever present help at every time of need. He will keep you as the apple of His eye and hide you under the shadow of His wings. There will you make your refuge, until the calamities has passed.
When you spend time in seeking God, in times of trouble, He will never leave you nor forsake you. His ears will always be open to the cry of the righteous.
God is always faithful and arises for the deliverance of those who trust in Him. He will deliver, honor you and show you His salvation.
He is our solid anchor and divine security in a world that is full of uncertainties. The deeper our relationship with Him, the greater our assurance of deliverance from every storm. It doesn’t matter what may come against you, with God on your side, you will always overcome.
You can be walking through the valley of the shadow of death, but right in the midst of the chaos and confusion, God’s loving arms will surround you and protect you from harm. In every situation, what matters most is having God’s Presence around us. And one way to engage God’s Presence is through a lifestyle of praise.
Truly, God is worthy of our praise. God is the reason why we are still here today. Despite all the plans of the wicked to eliminate us, God’s will over our lives has prevailed. If it had not been for The Lord on our side where would we be? Indeed God has been faithful. And as we continue to praise Him, He will surely perfect all that concerns us in this season in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to continually offer to You the fruits of praise, indeed You have been good to me, You have done all things well, and I bless Your Holy Name forever.. .

DECEMBER 3; PRAISE GOD CONTINUALLY!

Hebrews 13:15 ‘By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name’

DAILY READING;  Matthew 27:32-66; Deuteronomy 7-8; Job 7

In their initial years of missionary work in South Africa, Robert Moffat and his wife Mary, faced many problems and perils.
Though services were held regularly in the local chapel, few natives attended and most of these seemed totally unconcerned.
His heart afire with the message of salvation, Robert Moffat made many long preaching trips, almost constantly in peril from wild beasts, wild men, hunger and thirst. But the thorn which cut deepest was the seeming utter failure to reach the people for Christ.  Often did Robert and Mary Moffat prostrate themselves before God, beseeching Him to intervene.
The water supply being very scant in Lattakoo, Robert Moffat and Mary relocated their mission to Kuruman, eight miles distant. There, several buildings were erected and ditches were dug, conducting water from the river to the gardens, which were soon blooming in the valley. “These gardens are symbolic,” said Robert to Mary. “Some day this spiritual desert shall blossom into a garden for God.” Mary’s faith was no less steadfast. One day a letter came from a friend in England, asking what gift she could send that would help their mission work. “Send us a communion set,” Mary wrote; “we shall need it some day.”
Mary was taking a leap of faith, by asking for a communion set, when yet they had not a single convert!
Her faith did not go unrewarded. Within two years, a miraculous change came over the people as they began listening with reverent and eager hearts to the missionary’s preaching.
Soon the chapel could no longer hold the throngs. The people volunteered to erect a bigger church with their own hands. They gave themselves to prayer and praise, and a number of earnest converts were baptized.
In July, 1829, Mary received a package containing the communion vessels for which she had asked two years earlier. Interestingly, this was just a day before, they were to hold their first Sunday communion service in the mission. That first Sunday of July, 1829 marked an epoch event in the mission,  In the climax of the day, the Christians sat down together to observe the Lord’s Supper for the first time with the communion set, that Mary has asked for by faith, even when there had been no sign of any convert.

Faith is the ability to trust God and move in obedience even when we do not see the whole picture.
The fact that you have a genuine call from God does not mean you will not face resistance.
Despite all your hard work, certain things might make growth and progress difficult.
The truth is that in life’s journey sometimes you may have to pass through some valleys before you can get to your mountaintop. It is easy to praise God when things are going well, but what of when you pass through the valleys?
We don’t just praise God when it feels good, looks good, or benefits us in some way, we offer praise, “continually.”

Hebrews 13:15 says ‘By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name’

Even at those times, it may seem we have a good reason to feel down and discouraged, we must discipline ourselves to always give God thanks in everything.

I Thessalonians 5:18 says “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus’

When you continue to offer the sacrifice of praise, in the midst of difficulties, somehow, in ways you cannot fathom, things will begin to turn around.
You will see that negative medical verdict overturned, the financial problems will be resolved, the family crisis, marital troubles etc will all be overcome.
Indeed there’s nothing God cannot handle in our lives, as long as we stay in praise.
Certainly, He is the God of miracles, who can exceed our every expectations.
As this year rounds up, we must therefore be deliberate in giving God worthy praise. To rise to the mountaintop, you must learn to praise God while in the valley. Indeed Praise will always precede the victory. Your attitude of gratitude will always determine your altitude.
As we praise God this month , He will release to us every hanging blessing and ensure that our cup runs over with His goodness.

PRAYER: Father please enable me to always praise You at all times and in every situation. Please destroy every form of depression and discouragment in my life. Certainly, You are at work, even now, to turn every negative situation around for my good in Jesus Name

DECEMBER 2; MARVELOUSLY HELPED!

Psalm 30:11-12 ‘You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.’ [Amplified Bible]

DAILY READING; Matthew 27:1-31; Deuteronomy 5-6; Job 6

In the Siberian region of Russia, on February 29, 1992, a 17-year-old girl, gave birth to a disabled baby, Jessica. The baby had a condition known as fibular hemimelia, which left her without fibulas, ankles, heels, and most of the bones in her feet. Because of these difficult circumstances, her birth mother decided to place the infant in a nearby orphanage for adoption.
Half a world away in America , Steve and Beth Long were praying for guidance, towards adoption. After, praying, the Longs felt led to adopt children with special needs. Steve traveled to eastern Russia in 1993, and adopted 13-month-old Jessica, whom he brought back home to America.
At 18 months, Jessica endured surgery to amputate her malformed lower legs below the knees, Jessica was fitted for prosthetic legs, which enabled her to walk.
But as Jessica grew older she felt a lot of anger at being born disabled and then being given up for adoption.
Moreover, living life as an amputee was very hard for her. But being brought up in a Christian family, she eventually learned to hand over her life to God, and trust Him to help her.
God indeed helped Jessica. As a child, Jessica began participating in a number of sports and especially loved swimming in the pool. At age 10, she joined a swim team and started competing. In 2004— just two years later—Jessica was a Paralympic champion. Her first three Paralympic medals came at the tender age of 12 years, at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens.
Amazingly, she had gone from novice to best in the world in the blink of an eye.
But that was just the beginning. More gold medals were to come at the Beijing Paralympics in 2008 and London in 2012.
Today, Jessica Long is one of the most accomplished swimmers in US history, with 17 Paralympic medals including 12 golds.
She did later meet and reconcile with her biological mother and her biological father and realized that God had worked everything together for her good.

The help of God does exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ever ask or imagine.
From a frustrated young girl living a hard life as an amputee, God marvelously helped Jessica Long to arrive at the world stage.
Marvelous help will always generate marvelous strength. When strengthened through Christ, we can do all things. Through the help of God, we are able to achieve what others find impossible to accomplish.
Looking at this year, truly, God has marvelously helped us.
Many of us, stepped out, unsure of what the year held, but by trusting in the Lord, He is bringing us to a flourishing end.
Despite all the peculiar problems of this year; here we are today, seeing the last month of this year.
God has shielded us from the rage of the enemy and preserved us from the waves of the storm. Despite all that we passed through, this year didn’t see our end, rather we are seeing its end.
Indeed we have so much to be thankful to God for. God fought our battles known and unknown. In every challenge, He made us more than conquerors and continually gave us the victory over the plans of the wicked.
Therefore, it is time to deliberately give God worthy praise. It was not by our power or might, it was not by our wisdom or intelligence, it was not by our hard work or smartness, it was only because of the Lord’s mercies that we were not consumed. His mercies remain new every morning and even in this new month, His amazing mercies continue to speak for us.
In this month of December, God will crown the year for us with good things. And because every divine agenda speaks loudest at the end, as the year ends, be prepared for sudden prophetic fulfillments of God’s promises. It doesn’t matter how the year may have started, be assured that God is bringing it to a beautiful conclusion for you.
Certainly, by God’s grace, in this season, we will be receiving marvelous help. God will send destiny helpers to locate us. His divine favor is going to thrust us high to surpass every expectation.
Therefore in every situation, let us look unto our God for His divine help. It is the help of God that wins the battle of life. In II Chronicles 20:1-24 King Jehoshaphat engaged God’s help through praise, God arose and won impossible battles for them.
Likewise, as we praise God in this season, surely, we shall see victory on every side and every mourning shall be turned into dancing for us.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your great and amazing doings in my life this year. You are indeed the God of wonders! And as I praise You today, I know You are set to do yet more amazing things in my life in this crowning month of the year in Jesus Name. ..

DECEMBER 1; WORSHIP HIS MAJESTY!

Ecclesiastes 7:8 ‘Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.’

DAILY READING; • Matthew 26:47-75; Deuteronomy 3-4; Job 5

Denzel Hayes Washington is an American actor and filmmaker. Denzel was born in December 28, 1954 to a father who was a preacher and mother who was a hairstylist.
In 1975, Denzel Washington was struggling in college, his grade point average was 1.7, so low that he worried he would flunk out. And he started to question whether he had really made the right choices about his education. A part of him wondered if he should just start over and join the army.
Denzel felt like a failure.
One day in March 1975, he took his frustrations to his mother’s beauty shop. As he sat there, occasionally he would glance up at the mirror to see what was happening behind him. But one time he looked in the mirror, he realized an older woman under the hairdryer was looking back at him.
Every time he looked up, she was looking back. And it started to feel weird. He didn’t recognize the woman.
Suddenly, she called out, “Somebody, get me a pen! Get me a pencil! I have a prophecy.”
Somebody handed her a blue envelope, and the woman scribbled on it. Then she spoke to Denzel. “Boy,” she began, “you are gonna travel the world and speak to millions of people.”
Denzel was taken aback. Didn’t the woman know he was flunking out of school? Didn’t she know he was just wandering through life?
But something in his spirit stirred. He felt it.
The woman gave him the envelope with the word: “Prophecy” written on it. And his mother came along and added the word “preacher”, which was what she wanted him to be. Denzel wrote his own name on the envelope.
He later learnt that the woman named Ruth Green was known to have the gift of prophecy. She lived in Mt. Vernon where Denzel grew up and his mother was her hairstylist.
Denzel took the blue envelope home. About four months later, Denzel decided to try something new—acting. There he found his calling. And gradually he saw the fulfillment of the prophecy he was given as indeed over the years, he has travelled the world speaking to millions of people, sharing his beliefs in multiple events in person and online.
Looking back, Denzel Washington always realized that the moment in the beauty shop had a profound effect on him. Even though he had felt lost in his life, God still had His hand on him and was guiding him into his destined place.

“Kairos” represents an unplanned, unexpected and unscheduled time of divine visitation. Suddenly God can bypass protocol through a prophetic process, to propel you forward in life.
Hardwork and diligence are important and will take us up to a certain height in life, however, it will take God’s favour to cause our cup to run over. When God breathes His favor on you, sudden divine orchestration takes place that accelerates you from the back to the front. This sometimes cannot be explained or articulated by the human mind.
As you remain faithful in serving God and seeking His kingdom first, God knows how to turn the tables in your favor. What should have taken you many years to accomplish, God will do in a sudden moment. In Deuteronomy 6:11, God said when we honor Him, He would give us houses that we did not build and we would reap from vineyards that we did not plant.
Perhaps the enemy has told you that today is the first day of December, the last month, and that it is too late for you to make further progress this year. Well God’s Word in Ecclesiastes 7:8 says ‘Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof’
Indeed you are in the better part of the year. Though it may be the last month, it is your best month. And in this last month you will see the kind of favor you have not seen since the beginning of the year. In this month of December God will deck you with new colors and greater beauty. He will shew you a token for good. God will give you divine speed, He will give you beauty for ashes and make a way for you where there seems to be no way. And though you went through fire and through water, God is about to bring you into a wealthy place. There is a shift taking place in your circumstances. Everything that has been a set-back and a hindrance is about to turn around for your good. Help will arise for you from the least expected quarters. In the place of frustration God is bringing forth joy and laughter.
As we step into this last month of the year today , Let’s us be careful to always maintain an attitude of gratitude, in praising and worshipping God in Spirit and in truth.
Truly, God has marvelously helped us this year.
As you worship His Majesty, The Lord shall increase you more and more. God will cause doors of breakthrough to open up to you, crooked places shall be made straight and the hidden riches of secret places shall be given to you. Surely, by the power in the Blood of Jesus you shall finish strong and finish well this year!

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for surrounding me with Your favour as a shield. You are the God of miracles, signs and wonders and I know that even now You are able to suddenly intervene in my situation and move me up by Your divine power in Jesus Name.

NOVEMBER 30; DELIVERED BY THE BLOOD.

Job 5:12-14 ‘He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.’

DAILY READING; • Matthew 26:26-46; Deuteronomy 1-2; Job 4

Solomon Louis Ginsburg was a Baptist missionary to Brazil for thirty-five years. He was a man mighty in prayers and the Blood of Jesus Christ was the theme of his message down through the years. By the Blood he saw many miracles performed in his life and had remarkable deliverances.
In the northern section of the state of Pernambuco there was a band of bandits who were roving about and committing many atrocities. Their chief was named Antonio Silvino, a daring and desperate criminal who had a well-founded reputation for quick and accurate shooting.
The enemies of Solomon Louis Ginsburg told this bandit some wild stories about him and then hired the bandit to kill the missionary. They found out that on a certain morning he was to visit the village of Moganga to preach and so sent the bandit to waylay him. Solomon Louis Ginsburg left his station at two o’clock in the morning and embarked on the journey to the village. About five o’clock he saw by the road a man holding a double-barreled gun. Thinking the man was out hunting, Ginsburg stopped his horse, greeted the man in a friendly fashion, then rode on. He had no idea the man was there waiting to shoot him, but somehow the power of God had paralyzed him.
The people of Moganga, turned out in great crowds for the evening meeting which lasted till almost midnight. Utterly exhausted, Ginsburg lay down in a room provided for him to sleep. In the night, there was a knock at the door and a voice said, “I am Antonio Silvino and I want to see Senor Solomao.”
Ginsburg stepped into the adjoining room where the visitor was waiting.
“Do you know who I am and why I have come here?” asked the bandit.
The bandit with tears confessed to Ginsburg that he had been hired to kill . He said: “They said you were a wicked, dangerous person and gave me money to kill you. Early this morning you spoke to me so kindly I decided not to shoot you at once but to find out more about you. I was present in disguise at the meeting tonight while you were singing and praying and preaching. Sir, I know now that you are doing a good work and I will not kill you. I had rather kill the man who told me such lies about you.”
They talked and prayed the rest of the night. The bandit, who had killed sixty-six persons, was converted and later the transformation in his life became the talk of the entire region. Even the Newspapers reported : “All Antonio Silvino will talk about is the Bible…”
Throughout the time of his ministry Solomon Louis Ginsburg faced a lot of oppositions and several attempts were made at his life, but he was a firm believer in the Blood of Jesus to protect him from all harm.

As the power of God overwhelmed the bandit from harming the missionary, this has been the story for many of us this year.
Some of us had come close to things that were meant to destroy us, but somehow God stopped the mouth of the lions and disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands could not perform their enterprise.[ Job 5:12-14].
The Holy Spirit has hidden us from the secret counsel of the wicked and from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity (Psalms 64:2).
Despite all their evil plots, the Lord has continued to be our strength and sustainer, delivering us from all harm.
Even those times we had walked through the valley of the shadow of death, the Blood of Jesus had brought swift deliverance.

Indeed the fountain of the Blood never runs dry and is our ever constant shield from the evil in the world.
In the book of Exodus, the Blood effectively protected the Israelites from the plagues of Egypt. Through the blood applied to the doorposts, while the plague raged in Egypt, God kept His people safe under the covering of the blood. .

In Exodus 12:13, God said ‘And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.’

In the same way, today, the Blood of Jesus continues to protect us from every plague on the earth. As we daily plead the Blood, no evil shall befall us and no plague can come near our dwelling place.
The Blood of Jesus ever remains powerful to protect us from the arrows of the wicked, from sickness, from harm and from every evil on the earth. The power in the Blood of Christ is ever sufficient to cover and protect us at all times .
As we arrive at the last day of the month of November today, let us look back and truly thank God for His many grace and mercies. By the help of the Holy Spirit we have truly overcome and shall continue to overcome.
As we draw the curtain on the month of November, let us also deliberately draw the curtain on everything that has tried to hinder us in any way. Let us get ready to step into new glorious colours as we come into the crowning season of the year where God has indeed saved the best for the last .

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You the amazing help of Your Spirit throughout this month. Thank You Lord for the constant shield of the Blood around me and my family now and always in Jesus Name.
