The Voice of the Martyrs is an American nondenominational ministry serving persecuted Christians in restricted and hostile countries around the world. In 2016 they reported the story of a miraculous deliverance of some Christians in Afghanistan.
In an apartment in Afghanistan, six Christian men, heads wrapped in turbans, had gathered by 5:00 a.m to pray and share God’s Word in a Bible study.
As they sat in a circle, Farid, the group leader, prayed, in a tone just above a whisper, “We thank you, God, for your willingness to meet with us this morning. We thank you for your presence here among us.”
Farid had just introduced the book of Acts when someone pounded on the door. Before anyone could react, dark-clothed intruders burst in brandishing rifles and knives. Farid was slammed to the floor. His hands were tied behind his back and a knife was placed just inches from his neck. None of the six men resisted.
Amid the panic and confusion came clarity in prayer. Farid sensed God wanting him to stand up and leave the room. So he stood. His hands were no longer tied. The straps simply fell to the floor. He walked toward the door, which was guarded by two armed men.
“Sit down,” one commanded. “You’re not leaving alive.”
The other pointed his AK-47 rifle at Farid and squeezed the trigger.
Click. Nothing. The rifle had jammed.
Click. Again.
The rifle’s failure to fire diverted both guards’ attention, and Farid fled. As he raced down the stairs three or four steps at a time, he heard gunfire. He saw bullets chip the wall beyond him, but he escaped unharmed.
The story of his escape is even more amazing in light of the fact that none of his five companions were injured. Only the leader of the terrorist group was accidentally shot.
The police who later visited the scene, found inside a bag, an Al-Qaeda flag, two swords and a video camera.
According to police, the terrorists had planned to videotape the beheading of all six men and show it on the social media. Evidently, the attackers knew Farid was winning Afghan Muslims to Christ. The videotape would warn missionaries, evangelists and former Muslims that they would be killed if they didn’t stop their evangelism and discipleship.
What terrorists wanted to accomplish that morning did not happen. Heads did not roll. Blood was not spilled. The only casualty was one of their own, even though none of the six Christians resisted with force.
Instead, followers of Jesus experienced yet another reason to rejoice in the awesome power of their sovereign God.

Indeed there are times when the enemy thinks he has perfectly worked out his plans for destruction, he has everything ready and set to go, but then God suddenly shows up and causes those plans to suffer a technical failure.
Though we may sometimes face troubles— we can trust that God will deliver us from every single one of them.
No matter the trials or temptations, we are never left alone to fend for ourselves. God who never sleeps nor slumbers day and night watches over us, to deliver us.

Psalm 121: 3-5 & 7 says ‘He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: ..The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.’

When we call upon the Lord, He answers us. In those crucial moments, the voice of the Holy Spirit will show up to tell us what to do.
Isaiah 30:21 says ‘And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, “This is the way; walk ye in it,” when ye turn to the right hand and when ye turn to the left.’

It is truly wonderful to know that we serve the God who executes miraculous deliverances. In situations where it seems we are edged in and no way out, God often arises to do the miraculous. Where it seems we have come to our wit’s end, God often arises to make a way for us.
1 Corinthians 10:13 says that with every temptation God has made a way of escape.
By the help of the Spirit, you can escape every trap of the enemy. Through His yoke-breaking anointing, the Holy Spirit can cut through barriers and break you out of every prison of affliction, sickness, poverty, disfavor, etc. By the grace of God upon your life, you can defy the odds and do what even the experts say has never been done.
It doesn’t matter how the enemy may have tried to limit your progress or hinder your destiny, God will cause a technical failure, to every instrument of oppression being used to sponsor affliction in your life.
It doesn’t matter how perfect the plan, it doesn’t matter the high level of the conspiracy, it doesn’t matter how thick the plot or how strong the gang-up, today, by the help of the Spirit, you are walking out free from every demonic trap in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER
Lord, I thank You that by Your grace, I am rescued from every plan of the wicked. Truly, by the power of the Holy Spirit at work in my life, every yoke of limitation and every barrier in any area of my life has been destroyed today in Jesus Name.

Don Moen is a world famous Gospel singer, who has recorded many hit songs such as ‘God will make a way’.
He got married to his wife, Laura Moen in the year 1973. After a very colorful wedding, little did the couple know the struggle they would face trying to have children. They ended up struggling with infertility for 12 good years.
These were years of miscarriages, pain and disappointments.. These trials sometimes discouraged them and truly challenged their faith.
During this period, one time after a concert outside of Phoenix, Arizona, a pastor gave a prophetic word to Don Moen’s wife, Laura. He said, “I see you giving birth to a child. … in fact, I see you giving birth to many children, but this will not stop you from traveling the world, sharing the good news of the Gospel. I see an international family. Your children will go with you around the world.”
Don and his wife received this word of prophesy and held on to it. But many times too, they wondered when it would ever come to pass. Years of unsuccessful results from infertility doctors sometimes tried to discourage them and challenge what faith they had left.
But they held on to God and His Word. And even in the midst of their own challenges, Don Moen and his wife continued to travel around the world praising God and bringing joy and encouragement to many lives.
Finally, after 12 years, God answered their prayers and gave them a baby girl, then a boy, then a girl, then another boy, then another boy! In seven years, God gave them five children!
And just as the word of prophesy which they had received from the pastor; today they have all traveled the world together, sharing the good news of the Gospel and work with Don Moen in the ministry.

Judging God faith in difficult seasons of life moves Him to act in our favour. Certainly, how we handle challenges determine how far we can go in destiny. Our attitude of gratitude will always determine our altitude.
Though we may sometimes face adversities, we are never alone in our journey. The Holy Spirit is always with us, imparting joy into us and spreading the love of God abroad in our hearts.
The joy of the Lord in our lives ought to be independent of circumstances, because Joy is the fruit of our recreated human spirit. It doesn’t matter the situations around you, or what tries to weigh you down, you can always be joyful in the Holy Ghost.
The truth is that no matter what we may face in life, God is always faithful. Though we may fight battles, these are often fights of faith through which God’s faithfulness is proved in our lives.
While battles are real, our victory is always guaranteed through Christ. This is why in every situation rather than focus on the problem, we focus on God’s Word..
And though you may sometimes walk through the valley of the shadow of death, never forget that ahead, God has prepared a table for you, and your cup is about to run over.
The ability to praise God effectively is through faith imparted in our heart by the Word. This is why it is important to diligently study the Word. The more the Word fills our heart, the more the joy of the Lord will strengthen us to be victorious over every conflict.
God is indeed good. And He is bigger than any challenge we will ever face in life. Therefore instead of complaining, or wearing a spirit of heaviness, let us rather put on the garment of praise. Let us in everything keep praising God and keep judging Him faithful.
Don’t give in to negative emotions and allow them to keep you from God’s blessings and promotion. Fix your eyes on Jesus and not on the negativity. Choose to live each day in God’s peace, by spending time in His Word until joy is imparted into your heart. Then maintain an atmosphere of joy around you by continually giving God thanks. As you do so, you will see amazing speedy fulfillment of God’s Word in your life, because God does fearful things in praises.

PRAYER: Lord, I know You are always good and faithful. No matter what happens around me, I know You are in perfect control of my life. Please grant me the grace to always give You worthy praise at all times in Jesus Name.

Amy Carmichael was an Irish Missionary to India, who served in India for 55 years without ever returning back home to Ireland. Early in her life, when Amy was called to the Lord’s work, she never hesitated to answer. After extensive mission work in her native Northern Ireland, Amy set off to distant shores. She longed to be in China where many of her missionary friends had gone to spread the Gospel and help those in need, but the Lord had another plan for Amy. She would soon find herself in the mysterious land of India where the suffering was great and where her faith would be tested to the utmost. In November 1895 she arrived in South India, never to leave. While still learning the difficult Tamil language, she commenced itinerant evangelism with a band of Indian Christian women. She soon found herself responsible for Indian women converts. And in 1901, she and her Indian colleagues settled in Dohnavur. During her village itinerations, she had become increasingly aware of the fact that many Indian children were dedicated to the gods by their parents or guardians, became temple children, and lived in moral and spiritual danger. It became her mission to rescue and raise these children, and so the Dohnavur Fellowship came into being. Known at Dohnavur as Amma (Mother), Carmichael was the leader, and the work became well known through her writing. Workers volunteered and financial support was received. In 1931 she had a serious fall, and this, with arthritis, kept her an invalid for the rest of her life. She continued to write, and identified leaders, missionary and Indian, to take her place. The Dohnavur Fellowship still continues today.

It is indeed amazing that Amy would leave her comfortable homeland and head to India to spread The Gospel. But trailblazers go where others have never gone, to forge a road for others to follow. They do the unusual, the uncommon. But to be able to do this they must be empowered and moved by the Holy Spirit.
The inner workings of the Spirit in the life of a person, turns him into an outward wonder to the world. You will move like the wind, people may not understand how you are to do incredible things. But it is because you have the divine confidence that the Spirit of God is moving you from within.
How could Amy Carmichael a white woman, ruggedly dwell among the native Indians, despite the discomforts and oppositions to preach The Gospel? She knew God had sent her and was with her.
One way to move with confidence is to know you have been sent by God. Knowing that God sent him was what gave Moses the confidence to confront pharaoh, it was also what gave David the confidence to run towards Goliath, whom the whole army of Israel were running away from. Knowing that God has sent you gives you the confidence to confront any challenge and level any mountain. Because when God sends you, He also backs you up.
The road to greatness is an uncommon way. It is the preserve of the brave, those who are strongly connected to their God. For sure there will be oppositions on the way. There will be pharaohs to confront, giants to fight and red seas to cross. But though it is a road fraught with dangers and uncertainties, when God is with you, there is no fear. You move with confidence knowing that He will take care of every opposition. It is this strong confidence that God has sent you and God is with you that gives you the courage to break barriers and cross frontiers.
Knowledge of God will give you the unusual confidence required to fulfill your ministry on earth. And knowing God comes through spending quality time in His Word. So commit today to get to know God more through His Word. For they that do know their God, they shall be strong and they shall do exploits.

PRAYER: Lord please grant me the revelation of Your abiding Presence with me always., so that by The Spirit I can go forth to do great things in Jesus Name .

DAILY READING • Matthew 24:32-51; Numbers 28-29; Song of Solomon 8:5-14

Pearl Harbor is a U.S. naval base near Honolulu, Hawaii.
It is located near the center of the Pacific Ocean, roughly 2,000 miles from the U.S. mainland and about 4,000 miles from Japan.
No one believed that the Japanese would start a war with an attack on the distant islands of Hawaii. But it turned out to be the scene of a devastating surprise attack by Japanese forces on December 7, 1941.
Because American military leaders were not expecting an attack so close to home, the naval facilities at Pearl Harbor were relatively undefended.
The Americans were so sure, Japan would not attack, that despite the many signs that a strike was imminent, the US military ignored them.
In the days and hours leading up to the raid, American code breakers had noted an abundance of ominous chatter from the Japanese communication lines.
American radar operators even detected the Japanese warplanes as they approached Pearl from the north and sent out warnings, but these warnings went unheeded.
The Japanese plan was simple: Destroy the Pacific Fleet. That way, the Americans would not be able to fight back as Japan’s armed forces spread across the South Pacific.
On December 7, 1941, after months of planning and practice, the Japanese launched their attack.
At about 8 a.m., Japanese planes filled the sky over Pearl Harbor. Bombs and bullets rained onto the vessels moored below.
American soldiers at the Naval Base, awoke to the sounds of alarms, bombs exploding, and gunfire.
Sleepy-eyed men jumped off their bunks, running in a hurry to their stations.
The U.S Navy had been caught so completely off guard that even their ammunition stores were still locked. Guns were unmanned and the aircrafts were parked on the ground.
Though the Americans tried to recover quickly and attack back, the Japanese having the element of surprise on their side, wielded the upper hand.
In less than three hours the Japanese had accomplished their mission and departed, leaving behind devastation that killed more than 2,300 Americans and destroyed twelve ships and 160 aircrafts.
News of the attack took America by surprise. The next day the American President declared war on Japan. Though America would eventually gain victory over Japan, yet the attack at Pearl Harbor taught them a great lesson about military alertness.

The battles of life often come suddenly. At such times, it is your level of preparedness and the reserve of power you have that will pull you through.
Oftentimes, the enemy strikes most when men are spiritually weak. In Matthew 13:25, it was while men slept or were spiritually weak, that the enemy sowed tares.
The Japanese succeeded because their strategy was to carry out a massive attack while the Americans were still sleeping and unprepared.
In wars, each side always tries to attack the other side at their weakest point. The same principle applies spiritually, this is why we must always live ready.
Although the elements of his temptations vary, the enemy keeps looking for those unguarded areas of a believer’s life to strike at.
We therefore need to recognize our weak spots, and continually work at strengthening them. We need to bring every weakness and temptation to the Lord immediately, asking Him for the strength to resist.
Oftentimes before an attack, we will receive warning signs. One of these signs is low spiritual fire and loss of fervency.. To avoid being caught off guard, we must keep our fire burning through spending time in the study of the Word, prayers and worship. In these last days, as the battle gets hotter, there is an urgent need for revival. Indeed we need revival for survival!
Indeed it is God’s plan for every believer to be fervent in prayers. Just as the early Church experienced mighty power, God is getting ready for a mighty move of His power upon the earth.
In these last days, God is raising up a mighty army of Blood-washed, Holy Ghost filled, fire-baptized, tongue-talking, sin-hating, Jesus-loving Believers.
God gave us a picture of this great army in Joel 2. It is through this great company of believers that God ’s power will sweep through the earth to make His enemies His footstool.
For us to be part of this great move we must rightly position ourselves individually through accepting spiritual responsibility .
The Power of God only comes on those who pray.
Understand that we are in warfare with a vicious enemy who is looking for every opportunity to kill, steal and destroy. Especially in these end-times, the enemy is on a mission of destruction because he knows his time is short. Therefore you cannot afford to allow any form of spiritual weakness in any area of your life.
Do everything you can to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Certainly when every inch of us is sold out to Jesus and every part of us is consecrated and devoted to Him, there will be no room for the enemy to attack.

PRAYER: Father, today, through the Blood of Jesus I draw the strength to constantly overcome every spiritual weakness and live in victory and dominion in Jesus Name.

Although China is officially an “atheist country”, where Christians often get persecuted, interestingly, it is also the biggest Bible producer in the world.
In 1966, when China’s Cultural Revolution took place, the Bible became banned and Churches were closed.
Life was extremely difficult for Christians during those years. They had to gather, hiding in the mountains and worshipped in secret..
There were no place to purchase the Bible, so they hand-copied it and shared with each other. In that period, many prayed for access to Bibles.
Just reading the Bible became an almost subversive activity. Usually, believers would keep handwritten chapters of the Bible and put them all together when they met, to read the whole book.
After the ban on religious belief was finally lifted in 1978, there was a very high demand for Bibles. In 1986, civic groups Amity Foundation and United Bible Societies (UBS) set up a big Printing Bible factory in Nanjing, China, to meet the huge demand for Bibles among Christians in China.
This Bible factory, named Amity Printing Co. (APC), eventually becoame the biggest Bible factory in the world. Its space is the size of 8 football fields and it has 600 employees who print 70 Bibles per minute. It currently prints Bibles in over 130 languages.
This largest single Bible production base in the world in November 2019, celebrated the milestone of printing 200 million Bibles for believers worldwide.

When the early Chinese Christians who suffered during China’s Cultural Revolution, prayed for access to Bibles, God answered them in a big way. They got a Bible factory that has become the main global supplier of Bibles today. From no supply, they now have excess supply!
Truly we serve the God of overflow and exceeding grace.
He is the God of limitless possibilities. He is the God of more than enough; He has more than enough grace, more than enough power, and more than enough resources to exceed our every expectation.
Anytime the going gets tough, it can be tempting to think things will never get better, but the truth is that we must keep faith alive. Faith puts no limitations on God and God puts no limitations on faith. If we believe it, God can do it.
God’s capacity to do far exceeds our capacity of asking. Whatever we can believe, we can receive from Him. And whatever we can conceive, we can achieve by His grace.
Anything and everything is possible through our faith in God’s divine abilities.
Therefore today, stop looking at insurmountable problems or limitations. Stop looking at the doctor’s report, stop looking at your discouraging bank account. Lift up your eyes and look up to your helper, the Holy Spirit.
He is able to show you the way out of every wilderness into your fruitful land. No matter how hopeless any condition, God can still give you a change of story.
You have potentials for greater victories within you. It is not about you, it is about Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is not about your capability, it is about His ability at work in you. Through prayers, we engage the power of the Holy Spirit to expand our coasts.
Therefore today, do not limit yourself due to present problems or challenges. Do not settle for less than what God has ordained for you. In spite of the setbacks and delays, God will answer your prayers in a big way! Surely, by the power of the Spirit your visions and dreams, will come to pass in surprising ways!

Lord, please help me to keep thinking in line with Your Word and to stretch the limits of my faith. I know indeed You can do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine in this season in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; Matthew 23:13-39; Numbers 23:27-24:25; Song of Solomon 5:2-6:3

Peter J. Daniels is a well-known and respected Australian international business statesman of substance. He has conducted over 1,000 seminars in many parts of the world and has possibly spoken to more live audiences throughout the world than any other Australian.
Yet it wasn’t always that way. Peter J. Daniels came from a poor dysfunctional family background and as a child suffered from ill health and dyslexia. He never passed one grade at school and found himself to be virtually illiterate at the age of 26. However, from this humble beginning he developed a deep faith in God and confounded the skeptics.
After giving his life to Christ, he believed that God gave him two dreams. The first was to see how much money one human being could give away in their lifetime and the second, was to change the world. Amazingly, this one time illiterate now appears on the same platform with some of the world’s greatest intellectual, business, academic, religious, and corporate giants.
Today, Peter J. Daniels has been honored by universities, theological colleges, institutions, governments, businesses and humanitarian organizations from around the world for his entrepreneurial ability. He is most especially well known for his Christian faith, promotion of Christian causes and great support of missionary work.

By human standards Peter J. Daniel was grossly limited intellectually because he suffered from dyslexia, never passed one grade at school and was considered still illiterate at the age of 26.
But through connection to the Spirit of God, the inspiration of the Almighty opened up a new world of possibilities in his life.
Truly, by the help of the Holy Spirit, there is nothing in this world that is beyond your comprehension as a child of God. There is no field of endeavor where you cannot succeed or excel in.
1 John 2:20 says, “you have the unction of the Holy One, and you know all things.”

Connection to the Spirit of God makes an amazing difference in a man’s story. Though Peter J. Daniel was born into illiteracy, limitations, obscurity and mediocrity, all it took was the touch of God’s divine favor to turn his life around.
Redemption makes the believer a showpiece on the earth. We have been redeemed by our God as priests and kings to reign on the earth.
Though all the odds may seem against you, redemption grants us amazing possibilities and capabilities.
At salvation, we receive a new identity.
Isaiah 62:2-4, says: “…Thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord…”
At redemption, our destiny is transformed from shame to glory.
The Spirit covers our lives with supernatural favour which compels men to do us good.
The Spirit of God can bring opportunities and open doors to you that can’t be explained humanly.
When the children of Israel were leaving Egypt, God caused them to have favour with the Egyptians and they didn’t go empty-handed: they left, loaded with gold, silver and expensive jewelries. Favour made them rich (Exodus 12:36)!
Especially, as we come to the end of this year, it is our season to experience a positive turnaround because God crowns the year with His goodness. Though you may have toiled in the past months, the story is about to change. According to Zechariah 9:12 God will give you double for all your trouble.
In these few remaining days, God’s blessings are about to chase you down and overtake you. Things are about to suddenly change in your favor and you will experience an overflow. Indeed your cup is about to run over.
Let us therefore stay very expectant, joyful and full of praise; that will be the sickle of our harvest. As we give God high praises, He will certainly take us to our high places!.

PRAYER; Lord I thank You for what You are set to do in my life before the end of this year. I know indeed that everything is turning around for my good as You crown the year for me with Your goodness. Thank You Lord for exceeding my expectations in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING – Matthew 23:1-12; Numbers 22:41-23:26; Song of Solomon 3:6-5:1

A measure that has saved lives in Israel is the bomb shelters.
Israeli law stipulates that every citizen must have access to a bomb shelter. In 1951, three years after the State of Israel declared its independence, the country instituted a civil defense law requiring all homes, residential buildings and offices to be equipped with shelters or “safe rooms”.
This has been necessary because of the security situation Israel has continually faced. From its creation in 1948, Israel has often been under threats of attacks from its enemies. This has resulted in the building of over one million public and private bomb shelters, throughout Israel.
These shelters can be sealed in case of an attack with chemical or biological weapons.
Along with the more conventional below-ground bomb shelters, there are underground parking garages that can be converted into nuclear-proof bomb shelters and hospitals able to accommodate thousands.
Entire schools are encased in reinforced concrete with blast-proof windows.
Small “safe rooms” in private residences are meant to withstand rockets and unconventional weapons attack.
These shelters built mainly from concrete and metals are often able to shield people from the force of the rockets.
During the recent 2021 war with Hamas, air raid sirens often sounded to warn people of incoming rocket attacks, leading them to run to bomb shelters for safety. At nights also, thousands of people slept in bomb shelters for protection.

Spiritually we need a shelter from the missile flying by day and by night.
We live in a world, where fierce spiritual battles are being fought on all fronts. In these battles spiritual arrows and missiles are flying furiously in different directions, day and night.
However, due to the covering of the Blood of Jesus, we are shielded and able to live without fear, despite the raging battles.
The Blood of Jesus is our ever constant shield from the evil in the world. It protects us from sickness, from harm and from every evil arrow.
We have a covenant of protection with God through the blood of Jesus. . It is a covenant of exception, which means that what happens to the children of darkness is not permitted to happen to the children of light. There is need for us to understand that our case is different. By covenant, we are exempted from evil occurrences, untimely death, sickness, poverty, and every other evil in the world. And this covenant is based on the power that is in the Blood of Jesus.
In Exodus 12:13 God says ‘And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.’
By the mark of the blood of the lamb, death will always pass over us. Just as the case of Goshen was different by the Blood we are exempted from afflictions of the Egyptians. Psalm 91 says that when we make The Lord our refuge a thousand will fall by our side and ten thousand at our right hand yet it will not come near us. Why? Because we are protected by the blood of Jesus. His Name is a strong tower that we run into and we are safe.
The power in the Blood of Christ is ever sufficient to cover and protect us, no matter what may be going on in the world.
Indeed the Blood of Jesus is our spiritual ‘bomb shelter’ that protects us from the arrows of the wicked. The Blood continually surrounds us and speaks over our lives, ‘Touch not’ to every passing plague.
By His Blood, we have been made untouchable.
Indeed the Blood is our stronghold in battles and God’s protective wall of fire around us and our families.

In Zechariah 2:5 God says ‘For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.’

The Blood of Jesus is our divine seal and cover of fire .
Today, as we remain spiritually fervent through constant prayers, study of the Word and praise, surely by the Blood, no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper.

PRAYER: Father I thank You for shielding me from every evil through the Blood of Jesus. Today, I receive the fullness of the benefits Christ purchased for me at Calvary by His Blood. Indeed affliction can never arise a second time in my life in Jesus Name.

From an early age, Katie Souza had pre-conceived ideas about what the good life was. She believed that if she was working in the entertainment industry, she would make money fast, become famous and live the good life.
By 17 years old, she was on the air, with CBS television, pursuing her dream of fame and success.
Acting and modeling opportunities followed, but drug use that began in her teens gradually became a full-fledged addiction that threatened everything.
Katie was striving for. She got a role with Universal Studios, but just before her callback, she went on a drug binge.
When she got to the meeting, the person in charge, looked at her and said she looked like a heroin addict and ordered her out of his office.
That was like her last blow. Thereafter she fell face first into crime, and became a full-time drug seller. She was arrested 12 times in one year for multiple felonies. Finally, she was arrested on federal charges for conspiracy, manufacturing narcotics and weapons violations. She was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
After years behind bars, Katie reached her breaking point and cried out to God for help.
Katie prayed to become a Christian. The only book in the whole place was the Bible. So she picked it up and began reading through it. As she read, the Holy Spirit began to point out Scriptures about the people of ancient Israelites who went through captivity but were brought out of bondage by God’s power. Katie, realized that it was like her own story.
Soon her tough girl attitude and reputation began to change. She also began teaching what she was learning from th Holy Spirit to everyone that she could reach.
She raised a fellowship group that began worshipping God, praying and baptizing people in the shower. They experienced an amazing breakout of the presence of God right in the middle of their captivity.
After serving five years of her thirteen-year sentence, Katie won her appeal and was released early.
Today, she is an international minister of the Gospel who teaches a worldwide audience.
Katie wrote a book about the lessons she learned from the Israelites’ time in captivity and how God can use prison time to prepare people for their purpose.

None of us can overcome our sins and shortcomings without the help of the Spirit.
After he had received God’s Spirit, Paul described his new outlook on life: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
Buried with Jesus in the grave of baptism, Paul now lived a life that was no longer his own. He described his transformed life as one of allowing Christ to live again within him.
Paul urged other believers to “imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ” He tells us to “let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5,).

To imitate Christ we must bring our thoughts, attitudes and actions in line with His. We must allow the Spirit to become the guiding force in our lives .
without the power of God’s Spirit we can have no deep, close relationship with the Father.
It is because the Spirit dwells in us that we are called the children of God (Romans 8:14-17).
The Holy Spirit keeps us in contact with God’s mind. God’s Spirit works with our mind. The apostle John describes it this way: “Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit [which] He has given us” (1 John 3:24).
Through God’s Spirit, which He gives us, we can be influenced by Him for the good.
His Spirit also helps us come to a deeper comprehension of His truth. When Jesus promised the apostles He would send the Spirit to them, He said it would “guide [them] into all truth” (John 16:13).
God’s Spirit inspires a deeper understanding of His Word, purpose and will.
1 Corinthians 2:9-11 tells us: ” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.”
Without God’s Spirit a person cannot understand God’s divinely expressed Word and will, “for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
The Holy Spirit makes overcoming possible. Truly, nothing is too difficult for us with the power of God working in our lives. Romans 8:26 tells us that God’s Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. Paul, who wrote the letter to the Romans, speaks for all of us when he said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
Jesus promises Christians, “With God all things are possible” ( Mark 10:27). The Christian life is to be one of overcoming. We must realize God doesn’t want us to remain just as we were when He called us. Instead, we must “not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind” (Romans 12:2). Christianity is a lifetime of overcoming and growing-of transforming our thoughts and mind to become like Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit produces godly fruit in us. Just as an apple tree produces apples, God’s Spirit produces a particular type of fruit in the life of a Christian. Paul lists the fruit that should be evident in those who are led by God’s Spirit as “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23, NIV).
True comfort and reassurance come from God’s Spirit dwelling in us. We need not be unduly worried about what may happen to us. God’s Spirit gives us the assurance that whatever happens will end up for the good .
Through the Holy Spirit we can begin to look at life differently and enjoy continual victory.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to constantly renew my mind through consistent study of Your Word. Please help me to develop a deeper relationship with the Spirit so that He can enable me to be always Christlike in all I do in Jesus Name.

Count Nikolaus von Zinzendorf was an European nobleman known for dedicating all of his expansive influence and wealth to the glory of God.
Under Zinzendorf’s leadership, missionaries were sent out throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the East and West Indies, Africa and all around the world.
On February 14, 1743, Count von Zinzendorf with his missionary team were returning from the West Indies aboard a ship named ‘the James’.
As the ship approached the coastline of southern England, the North Atlantic gale relentlessly pushed it toward the jagged rocks jutting from the shoreline. The passengers and crew huddled below the deck were in fear for their lives. The winds shrieked as the ship pitched ominously, each hour driven closer to the English coast.
The Captain of the ship named Nicholas Garrison, resigned himself to the inevitable. Turning to the Count Zinzendorf standing by his side, he said the foreboding words, “Within hours, Your Excellency, we will be at the bottom of this ocean. The ship will not survive a crash against that rocky shore.”
Raising his eyebrows in surprise at the stark prediction,
Count Zinzendorf spoke confidently above the raging storm. “Captain, within two hours, this storm will be abated, and we will be sailing in calm seas once again.”
Captain Garrison shook his head in disbelief as both men
fought against the lashing winds to join the crew and
passengers below deck. In two hours, the captain of the James climbed carefully up the wooden ladder to the deck of his vessel. In wonder, he saw that the winds had shifted, the stormy clouds had parted; there were blue skies and placid seas surrounding the ship on all
sides.
“Count Zinzendorf,” the captain inquired in awe, “how did you know that we would have these calm seas in exactly two hours?”
“I have had a trusting relationship with Jesus Christ for
nearly forty years,” the count responded. “He speaks to me in the quiet of my soul when I pray before Him. This time, He assured me that the storm would end in two hours.” Amazed at Zinzendorf’s extraordinary faith, Captain Garrison accepted Christ as Lord of his life soon afterward and began a friendship with the count that lasted a lifetime. For years to come, Garrison served as the captain of the ship that transported Zinzendorf’s missionaries to foreign lands throughout the world.

Don’t let the direction of the wind or outward circumstances, determine your conclusion of your situation. In times of storm, we must always look to Jesus. There are times, outward circumstances may look like you are going to sink. But through the eyes of the Spirit, you can see victory, where others see defeat.
It doesn’t matter what goes on around you what matters is what goes on within you.
As long as Peter saw Jesus he could walk on the water, but when he saw the fierce winds, he became afraid; and began to sink.(Matthew 14:30)

To survive the storms of life, stay focused on the promises of God and His faithfulness.
Through prayer, we engage the wind of the Spirit to steer us away from the dangerous shores of life and carry us to our desired shores.
When we maintain a deep relationship with the Spirit of
God, He will always give us divine assistance where we face demonic resistance..
To be constantly victorious, we must make a decision to always spend quality time in God’s Word and prayers. That is how we can be equipped to overcome attacks and fight the good fight of faith. It is important that we commit to spending quality time in prayer. The truth is that either you pray or you become a prey. There is an enemy going about like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour, we must therefore know how to resist him in faith.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are able to crush and defeat the enemy’s plots and schemes..

In Luke 10:19, Jesus says ‘’Behold I give unto you power to thread upon serpent and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, nothing shall by any means hurt you.’

God has given us superior weapons of warfare which are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
Therefore no matter how the storm rages, stand, knowing that you are being backed up by God’s power.
The Holy Spirit will raise a standard against the flood and make a path through the mighty waters. Learn to celebrate God’s faithfulness even in the face of troubles and Judge Him faithful even in the midst of trials.
A fact that remains forever undisputable is that; God is always faithful. Therefore let us continue to bless Him at all times because no matter how the storm may rage, our victory is always certain!

Loretta Doris Anderson was born on November 24th, 1922, in Paterson, New Jersey. She was the eldest of three daughters, and was raised in a working-class home.
After High School, she went to Providence Bible Institute, in Providence, RI, in 1943, where she heard about the Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT), and their work among Indian tribes in Mexico and South America. From that moment onward, she set her heart on serving with the Wycliffe Bible Translators.
God laid in her heart the foundation of deep love for Him, an understanding of His Word and a call to serve the unreached tribes.
Prior to 1946, reaching the tribes in Peru and Ecuador with the Gospel seemed impossible. This was because of the gross hostility previous missions had encountered in the area. However in 1946, the Wycliffe Bible Translators developed a central jungle base in Peru and eventually established workers in 44 tribes. Two of these workers were Lorrie Anderson and Doris Cox, who were sent as missionaries to the head-shrinking Candoshi Shapra Indians of Peru.
Lorrie and her work partner Doris Cox arrived in Peru on October 6th, 1948, where they were met by Chief Tariri, the ferocious leader of the Shapras, a tribe of headhunters. The fierce Chief Tariri did not at all consider them a serious threat because they were women. He said “Two women? What harm could they do? They’re probably just looking for husbands.”
However, as the girls brought the Word of God to Chief Tariri’s tribe, there was a massive transformation in the land.
Despite the many dangers they often faced, God severally protected them from harm.
One day, Lorrie Anderson, was looking for a quiet place for her daily time of Bible reading and prayer, so she went down by the edge of the river. After reading the Bible, she took up her prayer list and began to pray with her eyes closed. She did not see a deadly giant snake, weaving through the water towards her. The anaconda struck her, burying its fangs into her flesh, but as it reared up for a death blow, suddenly the giant snake, never known to release its prey, left her and slithered off back through the water.
By divine intervention, help arrived soon enough. While Lorrie was being treated, a witch doctor from a nearby village suddenly burst into the hut and stared at her in disbelief. The woman said her son-in-law, also a witch doctor, had invoked the spirit of the anaconda that morning and sent it to kill the young missionary. And under normal circumstances a victim of the snake should have died, but she was amazed Lorrie had survived. But Lorrie, knew that she had only been saved because of God’s amazing divine protection.

Psalm 91:9 says ‘Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come near thee..’
Outwardly what happened to Lorrie Anderson seemed like an accident, but from the confession of the witchdoctor, it obviously was an arrow of the wicked sent the wicked sent against her.
The truth is that many of the battles we face in life are essentially spiritual. But despite these battles, we are always divinely protected by the Blood of Jesus.
According to Galatians 3:13-14 Jesus shed His Blood on the Cross for our redemption from the works of the devil. In other words, the Blood of Jesus is the Blood Covenant that redeemed us from the curse of the law to enjoy the blessings of grace.
Jesus paid his blood as price for our deliverance from every evil plan. His blood was shed so that our blood will never be shed. He died young so that we might live long.
The mystery of the Blood Covenant is so essential in this wicked world and the days that we live in. When the Passover Blood was sprinkled in Egypt, it guaranteed divine protection for the Israelites from the angel of death. The same way today when we plead the Blood of Jesus over our lives, that blood causes evil to pass away from us.
Zechariah 9:11 says ‘As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.’
By the blood of Jesus we have been delivered from every pit of captivity. It doesn’t matter the kind of attack the enemy may have arraigned against you, by the blood of Jesus you are guaranteed victory. Therefore today, let us begin to engage the weapon of the blood over our lives. As we do, let us be assured that every force of wickedness against us, will surely be defeated and the light and glory of the Lord shall be seen upon us in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the divine protection available to me through the Blood of Jesus. I know indeed that by the Blood of Jesus I am exempted from every evil in Jesus Name.
