Galatians 2:20 ‘I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.’

Darryl Strawberry was once one of America’s Major League Baseball’s brightest stars. Bursting onto the scene with the New York Mets, his talent and charisma earned him fame, fortune, and seven Sports Illustrated covers. But behind the success, darkness loomed. At just 21, he was introduced to cocaine by older teammates. As his career soared, his soul sank deeper into addiction. Fame brought wealth, women, drugs, and alcohol—but not peace.
In 1991, Darryl gave his life to Christ at a Morris Cerullo convention, but without spiritual discipline, he soon relapsed. Despite earning over $30 million, his life spiraled into brokenness—marked by substance abuse, infidelity, prison time, and battles with colon and kidney cancer. When he hit rock bottom, he turned again to God in repentance .This time, Darryl fully surrendered his life to live for God
He began studying the Word, embraced a new life in Christ, and was miraculously healed and restored. Soon he answered the call to ministry and began preaching in prisons, leading souls to Jesus, and established the Darryl Strawberry Foundation. Speaking at Liberty University in 2015, he declared, “I have been crucified with Christ… It is Christ who lives through me.”
Indeed Darryl Strawberry’s transformation from drug addict to pastor and soul winner is a powerful testimony of Christ alive in Him. His story is a reminder of God’s redeeming grace and the deliverance power of the Blood of Jesus.

The moment we give our lives to Christ we begin the most important race of our lives. However, though we may start well, as the race progresses, we often face hurdles of temptations and struggle with sin. No matter how much a man desires to be good, until he has crucified his sinful flesh nature, he may find himself going back to his vomit and former lifestyle.
This is why we need to continually come to God’s throne of grace, through His Word to receive the power to overcome.
The transformation power that Christ purchased for us at the Cross is embedded in God’s Word. As we look into the Word, we receive the power to be transformed into the image of Christ.
Trying to live the Christian life by our own strength will only lead to failure. But as we connect to God’s Word and begin to engage the power in the Blood against the forces of sin, we will experience continual victory.
The deeper we go into God’s Word, the more the nature of God takes us over and the more the temptations of the sin and the flesh dies in us.
Anyone who is serious about living for God must accept the spiritual responsibility of daily coming to the Word so as to receive faith and power to live a victorious Christian life.
As believers in these last days we can’t afford to be spiritually lazy. With the increasing tempo of temptations and spiritual warfare, we must be ready to engage the power of the Blood against every assault of hell.
Truly there is power in the Blood to break every chain and bondage and completely change our story from shame to glory.

PRAYER: Lord I thank You for the power that is in the Blood of Jesus which continually assures my victory over the enemy. Please help me to always praise You and live in expectation of the miraculous,, so that I can experience Your speedy divine intervention and deliverance in every area of need in Jesus Name.
