In 2017, Grammy-nominated Christian artist Natalie Grant faced one of the greatest trials of her life—a serious diagnosis that threatened her singing voice.
It began with Natalie experiencing extreme vocal fatigue and pain. After several medical evaluations, doctors discovered that she had significant vocal cord damage, including nodules and inflammation. The prognosis was grim. She was warned that continuing to sing could result in permanent vocal loss. Even with surgery, they cautioned, she might never sing again. For a worship leader whose music had touched millions, this was devastating.
But Natalie was not ready to give up. With the support of her husband, her church, and a community of believers around the world, she turned to prayer. She clung to Scriptures on healing, particularly Isaiah 53:5—“By His stripes, we are healed.” After undergoing surgery, Natalie took months of complete vocal rest and intensive therapy. Miraculously, not only did her voice return—it came back stronger and more powerful than ever, leading to a Grammy nomination for her 2020 album.
What the enemy meant for evil, God turned into a global testimony of healing and restoration for Natalie.
There are seasons when the odds seem stacked against you—when every door appears closed and every option is exhausted. In those moments of despair, faith in God makes all the difference. Those who trust in God will never be stranded. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
When it looks impossible, that’s when God’s grace shows up. His grace is the supernatural strength that carries you when your strength runs out.
2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Grace is what lifts you out of the pit, parts your Red Sea, and shuts the lion’s mouth on your behalf.
No matter what impossible situation you’re facing today—be it sickness, debt, family problems, etc.—God’s grace is your rescue plan. When you rely on God, you’re never at the mercy of circumstances. So do not be worn down by the weight of the trials, your victory is on the way. As you continue to seek God, His power will rescue you from what seems impossible to men. Certainly, God is your waymaker.
He will go before you and open doors no man can shut. His grace will bring you through the fire without the smell of smoke. That impossible test will soon become your sweetest testimony. What was meant for evil will all turn for your good. With God’s grace, you won’t just survive—you’ll thrive!
God has promised to never leave nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). So you are never alone in your battles; you have divine back-up. As you keep looking unto Jesus and stay in His Word, He will work together everything for your good and manifest His glory through your story.
PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for always being my waymaker and barrier -breaker in times of turbulence. Please grant me the grace to always stand in faith through consistent study of Your Word. I know that I will certainly emerge victorious over every test I may face today in Jesus’ Name.
