Psalm 34:9–10 (KJV)
“O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.”

As a musician, Kirk Martin once pursued success with a determination that almost destroyed his life. Though raised in a Christian home, painful experiences in his youth caused him to drift away from faith. As he grew older, he became involved in drugs and crime while chasing recognition in the world of heavy metal music.
Martin believed fame would solve his problems. After several failed attempts to secure a recording contract, desperation pushed him to make a frightening decision—he prayed for supernatural help from dark forces if it would guarantee success in the music industry.
To his surprise, only a few days later an opportunity appeared that seemed to answer his request. A major recording contract was suddenly offered to him. Yet just as he was about to sign the agreement, an unusual encounter stopped him. A mysterious man approached him and told him that God still loved him and had a better plan for his life. Moments later the man vanished.
The experience shook Martin deeply. Soon afterward he surrendered his life to Christ and turned away from the path he had been pursuing. Instead of chasing success through destructive means, he dedicated his musical gifts to God. Today his ministry reaches thousands, proving that true breakthroughs come when we return to God.
Many people spend their lives searching for breakthroughs in the wrong places. Some pursue wealth, influence, or connections, believing these things hold the key to success. Others even turn to questionable methods because they feel desperate for results. Yet Scripture reminds us that our true source is not found in human systems but in God Himself.
Psalm 34 declares that those who seek the Lord will lack no good thing. This promise reveals a powerful principle: when we pursue God and anchor our lives in His Word, our needs are met through His provision.
The Word of God carries divine power to supply what we require—wisdom for decisions, strength for challenges, healing for our bodies, and direction for our future. When we meditate on Scripture and align our lives with its truth, we position ourselves under God’s provision.
This means we do not need to look elsewhere for answers. Everything necessary for life and progress flows from our relationship with God and His Word. As we seek Him first, breakthroughs begin to follow us rather than us chasing them.
Therefore, let God’s Word become your primary source. Trust it, follow it, and build your life upon it. When God becomes your pursuit, you will discover that His power supplies every need and opens doors of lasting breakthroughs.
PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for the grace to always seek the advancement of Your kingdom. As I put You first in all my affairs, I thank You for divine additions, breakthroughs, and all-around success in Jesus’ Name.
