Mark 11:22-23 ‘And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith..”

On January 24, 2015, 14 year old John Smith, and his friends Josh and Reiger, decided to skate on the ice-covered lake of St. Louis. But minutes later, the ice cracked, sucking all three boys into the water. Josh managed to crawl out. The fire department and police were immediately called to the scene. Firefighter Tommy Shine, along with his colleague rescued Reiger but couldn’t immediately locate John. The chances of finding him alive was now grim because John had been under water for 15 minutes. Their boss asked them to call off the search, but Firefighter Tommy Shine heard an inner voice instructing him to keep searching. Minutes later, they find John, but he was frozen and virtually dead with no pulse.
He was immediately rushed to the local hospital where doctors tried unsuccessfully for about an hour to find a pulse. By this time John’s mother had arrived at the hospital. The doctors eventually declared John clinically dead. But John’s mother, Joyce, a fervent Christian, refused to believe her son was dead. Standing by his bed, she cried out to God in a loud voice to bring him back to life.
Immediately after Joyce prayed, her son’s heart began beating once again. The doctors were utterly amazed. Soon, John was awake and alert.
John not only recovered fully from his brush with death, but he also did so with remarkable speed: Just three weeks after his lifeless body had been admitted to the hospital, John walked out the front door on his own two feet. Joyce wrote about the amazing testimony in her book ‘The Impossible’ which was made into the very successful movie ‘Breakthrough’.
We need to stand strong in the face of every trial of faith. No matter how the storm rages, we must continue to trust in God’s faithfulness against the obvious odds.
Faith doesn’t just look at the facts and give up. Faith looks at circumstances, that look like defeat and yet trusts God to overturn the verdicts.
Today, you may be facing situations that seem impossible, but when you dare to believe, God can do the incredible.
Despite what the experts may have said, God is able to miraculously reverse any negative condition for you.
We serve the God of miracles. He is the God of might and power, of glory and grace and eternal authority. To Him, nothing is ever impossible.
Nothing can stand against God’s plan for you when you believe. No disappointment, no setback, no injustice or enemy can hinder you. When you believe, all the forces of darkness cannot stop God’s plan from coming into manifestation in your life.
In every situation, let the revelation of God’s Word be more important to you than the happenings around you.. And as you continue to stand in faith and give all the glory to God, you will certainly experience His amazing rescue from every trouble, trial and tribulation. Rather than sink, you will soar to greater heights and keep breaking forth to glorious realms.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for causing me to keep growing from strength to strength; and from victory to victory. Please help me to continually build up my faith, so that I can always overcome the world in Jesus Name
