Herod was appointed governor at a young age and rose quickly through the political ranks. However, he ruled with fear, suspicion, and violence. To protect his throne, Herod eliminated anyone he perceived as a threat—including members of his own family.
By the time the wise men arrived in Jerusalem asking for the newborn “King of the Jews,” Herod was an aging tyrant desperately clinging to power. He was deeply troubled—shaken to his core—by the news that another king had been born. Cloaking his intentions in false humility, he sent the Magi to Bethlehem, pretending he too wanted to worship the child. But God intervened and warned the wise men to take another route. Enraged by his failure, Herod unleashed a wave of cruelty, ordering the slaughter of male children in Bethlehem. Yet even this horrific act could not touch God’s plan, because baby Jesus had already been taken to Egypt before Herod’s death squad arrived.
Eventually, Herod died—forgotten by history—while the child he tried to destroy grew, fulfilled His mission, and changed the course of eternity. Today, the throne Herod fought to protect has vanished into the dust of time, but Christ’s kingdom continues to stand victorious forever.

Herod’s story is a timeless reminder: opposition does not cancel destiny. Every force that rises against God’s plan ultimately collapses. What Herod could not stop then, no power can stop now.
Jesus declared it plainly—He will build His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). As you stay rooted in Christ, no conspiracy, delay, or attack can abort God’s intention for your life. Your destiny is secured by divine authority, not human approval. What God has ordained will outlive every Herod fighting against you.
Let this Christmas season remind you that every destiny-destroyer sent to hinder you will fail woefully in their assignment. No matter how much anyone tries to put you down, you will only keep rising higher. Because you are born of God, you are destined to overcome.
God has ordained you for a life of impact, and nothing can stop that destiny of glory as you remain committed to Christ. Let us celebrate this season with gratitude to God, knowing we are truly indefatigable and unstoppable.

PRAYER
Lord, I thank You for the unshakable victory I have in Christ. I declare that no power of hell can hinder my purpose or prevail against my destiny. As I walk closely with You, certainly I will triumph always and rise into all You have ordained for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

QUOTE
The battle you face today is proof that God has already foreordained your victory.
