It was December of 2011 when what seemed like an ordinary day for Dawn Cypret turned into a life-or-death crisis. She had gone to the doctor because of a burning pain in her throat which she didn’t think was serious. After the hospital tests, she went out to do some Christmas shopping. A few hours later she received an urgent call from her doctor. He said an ambulance was already on its way to rush her to the hospital because the test results showed she was on the verge of a major heart attack.
As she was being taken to the hospital, Dawn and her husband prayed desperately for God’s intervention. Tests revealed four severely blocked arteries, and quadruple bypass surgery needed to be done.
Christmas was just a week away when Dawn went in for surgery. Friends and family prayed fervently for her. The surgery went as planned and she was taken to recovery. But five hours later, Dawn flatlined and was rushed back into surgery where she died on the table.
They called in a pastor to pray for her. Then, miraculously, after Dawn had been dead for 20 minutes, her heart began to beat again—without any medical explanation. Two days later, on Christmas Eve, Dawn was alert and told everyone she had been to Heaven and seen Jesus.
She recovered fully, and her miraculous story is captured in her book, Heaven Is Closer Than You Think.

Truly, Heaven is closer than many of us realize. The birth of Jesus brought the miracles and possibilities of Heaven into our world. He is the Light that shatters every darkness (John 1:4–5). Through His power, we can come out of every tight situation and experience healing and deliverance from every affliction.
The goodness that Christ brought into the world is what we celebrate in this season of Christmas. His birth has indeed made all the difference. Through Him, we can experience divine rescue and miracles that defy human reasoning.
Therefore, whatever you may be facing, never be discouraged or assume it is the end. No enemy can have the final say over your destiny. Sickness, disease, poverty, or lack cannot write your conclusion. Jesus has paid the price for you to walk in continual victory.
No matter how gross the darkness, as long as you believe, the glory of the Lord will arise and change the story. In this season, lift your expectations. Refuse to surrender to fear or negative circumstances.
Let the birth of Christ remind you:
He is the Way when no way exists.
He is the Light when darkness surrounds.
He is the Life where death threatens.
Christmas is not only a celebration—it is an invitation to anticipate miracles, divine intervention, and sudden breakthroughs. Christ came to conquer every enemy and fill our lives with His blessings and glory.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for sending Jesus—the Light who shatters darkness. I receive grace to walk in faith and expectation. Let Your light break through every challenge and let Your miracle-working power be revealed in my life in this season. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
