Isaiah 49:25-26 ‘But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children’

Sheridan Ripley is a well known Christian author. Her book, “the Mexico Miracle”, is the gripping account of her son’s escape from Kidnappers.
On Tuesday 11th November 2014, Sheridan Ripley was praying in the morning, when she felt her 16 year old son, Devon was in danger and surrounded by evil. But outwardly it made no sense, because at that time Devon was on a Scout campout, at Joshua Tree National Park in California. Moreover, her husband had spoken to their scout leader only two days before and Devon was supposed to be home by 6pm that evening.
However, she still prayed and asked for angelic protection over her son.
Around 1:30 pm of that same day, Sheridan’s intuition came true when her husband got a phone call from the Mexican Police saying that Devon had been rescued from kidnappers in Mexico. It was hard to believe because they couldn’t understand how their son who was in California could suddenly be found in Mexico.
It was only after the police put Devon on the phone, that they became truly convinced that it was really their son.
Sheridan and her husband later found out that Devon had sneaked out from the camp out in California and travelled to Ensenada in Mexico to attend the Baja 1000 which is an annual Mexican motorsport race. Knowing his parents would never allow him travel to Mexico to attend the event, he had taken the risk to go on his own.
When he arrived in Mexico, Devon tried to sell an old GPS unit to get some money. In the attempt to sell the unit he fell into the hands of a criminal gang, who abducted him with knives. They took him to a shack, stripped him to his underwear, tied up, gagged, and blindfolded him. They got the pin of his ATM card and then left him to go and withdraw his money. After the kidnappers had gone, somehow Devon was able to remove the bandanna over his eyes, and untie himself and broke through a hole in the wall.
He ran barefoot down the street and flagged down a bus driver who was able to take him to the police station, who then contacted his parents.
It became clear to Sheridan, that her prayers that morning, asking for angels to surround her son had been answered, even when she did not know what was going on.
When we sincerely serve God and put our trust in Him, even when we are not aware, God will be working behind the scenes in our favor.
We must understand that serving God is a covenant.
God has not called the sons of Jacob to seek Him in vain. He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
God’s wonders and miracles continually speaks in the lives of those who serve Him.
His promises of deliverance also extends to our loved ones. God will rescue them from captivity because we are in covenant with Him.
Isaiah 49:25-26 says ‘But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children’
When we are in a covenant relationship with God, we can be sure of His speedy intervention any time we call upon Him. He constantly gives His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. In these perilous days as iniquity abounds and temptations increases, our service to God will guarantee our deliverance from the traps of the wicked. As we faithfully serve God, He watches over us and our loved ones and ensures no evil befalls us.
Today, no matter how fierce any trial that seems to face you, be assured that the enemy does not have the final say over your life, only Jehovah does. The Creator of the universe, the one who spoke planets into existence, has your life in the palm of His hands. He had the solution even before you had the problem.
By shedding His blood at Calvary Christ has brought us into a new covenant relationship with God, where we can enjoy the blessings of Abraham.
Through the Blood of Jesus we are guaranteed constant victory over the enemy.
According to Revelations 12:11, we are overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb.
The Blood Covenant is God’s answer against all satanic assaults.
When you are in covenant with God, you will be shielded from every plan of the wicked ones. When you serve God sincerely no weapon fashioned against you or your loved ones shall prosper..
Therefore ,in this season, as we fulfill the covenant obligation of serving God sincerely, let us be assured of His divine deliverance and blessings over our lives.
PRAYER: Lord, please help me to fulfill the conditions of sincerely serving You. I thank You that through the Blood I have constant victory in every area of my life in Jesus Name. .
