One of England’s best-known preachers in the 19th century was Charles H. Spurgeon. Known as the Prince of Preachers, Spurgeon’s success in life was traceable to his decision to serve God wholeheartedly.
Charles Spurgeon was born on June 19, 1834. From childhood, he often revolted against instructions and struggled against God. Despite his rebellion, his mother continually prayed for his salvation.
As a teenager Charles continued in his sinful ways and suffered many afflictions in life.
A breakthrough finally came when he was about 16 years old. One snowy Sunday morning Charles felt drawn to go to a small Primitive Methodist chapel. As he listened to the simple words of the preacher, he felt deeply convicted and soon surrendered his life to Christ.
Charles Spurgeon was so impacted by his salvation experience that he immediately began preaching the Gospel.
In 1854, just four years after his conversion, at only age 20, he became pastor of London’s famous New Park Street Church. Multitudes flocked to hear his sermons, and over the course of his life, he would preach to millions of people. He received accolades from presidents, kings, and princes. Spurgeon’s ministry not only blessed his generation but also continues to positively impact many lives today around the world.

Though Spurgeon started life on the wrong track, his encounter with Christ positively altered the course of his destiny.
Our connection to God sets our feet on the path that keeps shining brighter and brighter.
It doesn’t matter the initial constraints or challenges—inviting God into our journey brings divine acceleration to new glorious realms.
When God takes over our affairs, obstacles become miracles and trials turn to testimonies.
When we prioritize God in our affairs, He will do exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ever think or imagine.
Therefore today, let us maintain a closer walk with God and stay committed to obedience to His Word.
As we remain faithful, there gradually comes a tipping point. One touch of God’s favor can tip you into the reward of a hundred years of labor.
Truly, God is in the life-changing business. He promises in Zephaniah 3:19 that He will undo all that afflicts us, and get us praise and fame in every land where we had been put to shame.
Though you may have been in obscurity, the season has come for you to break forth into the limelight.
Though all the odds may seem against you, as you honor God, His amazing grace will certainly make a way for you.
In the place of ashes, you are going to see beauty, favor, health, and increase. As you focus on giving God all the glory, He will surely change your story.
