In 2022, India overtook China as the country with the largest population in the world. India’s current population is around 1.44 billion, made up over 80% Hindus, 14% Muslims and only 2% Christians.
To increase the number of Christians in India one pastor is taking radical steps.
Dr. Satish Kumar is the founder of the Calvary Temple which he started in 2005 with only 24 people. The Church has grown exponentially, in the same way Jesus multiplied loaves and fishes.
Feeding the poor every Sunday is a method Pastor Satish has applied to draw people to church. Today, the Church population is now over 300,000 members.
Each Sunday, 150 workers prepare meals comprising of 50,000 breakfasts, lunches, and dinners to serve church-goers. Also Calvary Temple has a hospital to meet the medical needs of the church, dispensing medicines that poor people couldn’t otherwise afford.
As a result of these charitable deeds, about three thousand new believers are added to the church each month.
The more Pastor Satish invests in soul winning through meeting people’s needs, the more his ministry has been expanding.. There are currently 11 satellite churches and plans are underway to build 40 more. The Church also has Millions of followers on social media.
We provoke the hand of God for prosperity and expansion through investing into His kingdom
When you use your resources to attract souls into God’s Kingdom you place yourself on Heaven’s eternal payroll.
God rewards us when our mission is to populate Heaven and depopulate hell.
We must therefore do whatever it takes to draw souls to God including praying for the lost, feeding the poor, clothing the naked, taking care of the sick and preaching the Gospel to all men.
Souls are the currency of heaven. Therefore if you want to build up currency in Heaven and earth, then start investing in soul-winning.
Souls are precious to God because He has paid an immeasurably high price for each soul with the Blood of Jesus!
The greatest use for our earthly treasure is investment in soul-winning. It is the most profitable venture any Christian can embark on. While every other investment ends on this earth, soul winning continues to pay dividends in eternity. It is certainly our life’s wisest investment.. Proverbs 11:30 says “He who wins souls is wise”.
The more we use our time, energy , talent, resources and everything it takes to draw people to Jesus, the more we will keep breaking forth to glorious new dimensions.
PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to look beyond my earthly needs and focus on the Heavenly mission of drawing souls into Your Kingdom. Please help me to always invest towards the preaching of the Gospel to all men in Jesus Name.
