2 Timothy 4:1-2 “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

Two days ago, on April 13th, hundreds of drones and missiles from Iran directly targeted Israel. It was the single largest drone attack ever carried out by any country. It was also the first time in history Iran would directly attack Israel from its own territory, though the two nations have been archenemies for almost a half-century.
For decades, Israel and Iran have avoided a direct conflict and fought a shadow war across the Middle East. Iran has largely used foreign proxies such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia to strike Israeli interests. While Israel’s own strategy has been the targeted assassinations of Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists. But on April 13th, the situation escalated as Iran directly attacked Israel. This was in retaliation to the April 1 Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus that killed among others, two Iranian Army generals.

Fortunately for Israel, the Iranian strike didn’t do much damage. Over 300 drones and ballistic missiles were successfully intercepted by Israel’s multilayered air-defence system which includes iron Dome, Iron Beam, David’s Sling, Arrow and Patriot.
However, this attack has amplified fears of a larger regional war. In recent times the overall geopolitical situation in the Middle East seems to be growing increasingly more dangerous and is raising concerns that it could eventually lead to World War 3.

There is no doubt that we are living at the end of the Church Age where nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. [Matthew 24:7-8] Jesus called this period the “beginning of sorrows”. The word “sorrows” is the Greek word oodin, and it specifically describes the labor pains of a pregnant woman.
As we approach the end of the Age, the turmoil in the world will become increasingly greater. However, as a people of faith, we must not be troubled by the noises or clamors because we already know how the story ends through the book of Revelations!

What we do at this time is to keep our eyes on the Lord and our minds on His Word. This is also the time to impact our world with the preaching of the Gospel because soul winning is Heaven’s topmost agenda in these end times. Therefore our focus at this time is to live ready and do everything possible to urgently preach the Gospel to men.

Paul told Timothy, “Preach the word, always be ready, in season and out of season”. The Amplified version says, “keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable”. Proclaiming liberty to the captives in these last days is a burden we each should take personally and channel our time, energy and resources towards its pursuit.
As we stay committed to preaching the word in season and out of season, surely our lives will overflow with Heaven’s choicest blessings, we will enjoy divine exemptions in these perilous times and keep breaking forth to higher grounds.

PRAYER: Lord, I am available to be used to preach Your message of redemption to my generation. I thank You for the grace to live ready and to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel wherever I go in Jesus Name.
