Zephaniah 3:19 ‘Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.’

Curtis Carroll is a former prisoner and convict who transformed himself to become a highly sought-after financial-guru.
Curtis was serving a sentence of 54 years to life for murder but through faith in Christ, he changed his story. Carroll grew up in a community in California that was a hotbed of drug dealers, addicts, and criminals.
He learned to steal and sell drugs at an early age. At 17 years, he ended up in prison after committing a robbery that led to a man’s death.
But in prison Curtis encountered Christ and became born again. With a renewed mind he began to make positive transformations in his life. Though a stark illiterate, he taught himself to read and write. Thereafter , he began studying about investments and the stock market from books in the prison library. He learned so much that he became highly successful at picking stocks. From there, he started a Financial Literacy Program which led him to give a TED talk in 2019. His talk received over 4 million views on YouTube.
After serving 27 years of his 54 years sentence, Curtis Carroll, has been released from prison on parole.
He is now an influential speaker, inspiring financial literacy advocate and a celebrated media personality who has been featured in numerous publications like the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, BBC and NPR.
You may be a product of your past, but you don’t have to be a prisoner of your past.
Growing up in a tough environment may have led Carroll to prison, but he didn’t allow that to define his present or his future. Through engaging divine help he changed the course of his life.
This year the realization of God’s glory in our lives will require taking definite steps to transform our lives.
The story of Joseph is a story of drastic life transformation through divine help. Joseph was a prisoner, but he did not allow his situation to keep him bound. From shame and disgrace, he ended up on a throne, to a life of glory.
In Genesis 45:13 he said ‘And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen.”
Negative things should not keep you from growth and progress. Fertilizer may seem stinky, but it helps a plant to grow better. Some of the undesirable things that happened to you can become fertilizers for your greater destiny. They are being used to prepare you for a glorious future and are making your roots to go deeper. As long as you are walking in line with God, what may seem like a prison can eventually lead you to a palace. The closed door can lead to new doors of greater possibilities. That setback could be a set-up for your greater comeback.
In this season, let us keep praising God because of His plan this year to undo our afflictions and give us fame in every place where we had been put to shame.[ Zephaniah 3:19]
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for changing my story from shame to glory. Please help me to maintain a praise-full lifestyle because I know even right now You are working out everything together for my good in Jesus Name. .
