Micah 7:8 “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”

DAILY READING – Luke 21, Genesis 31, Psalm 26

In 1979, coach Herb Brooks faced the impossible task of training amateur American players to win an ice hockey game, against a Soviet team that were far better than them.
Within a year, coach Herb Brooks was able to produce a United States’ Olympic hockey team of college boys who would become the youngest players in U.S. national team history.
In contrast, the Soviet hockey team members were mature professionals who had won the gold medal in five of the six previous Olympics.
To make matters worse for the US, in an exhibition game played a week before the Olympics, the Soviet team walloped the amateur U.S team 10-3.
And so the Soviets were expected to easily skate their way to another gold in the Olympic games.
But despite the great odds against them, the American team and their coach hoped for a miracle as they played in the epic semi-final match on February 1980.
Initially in the game, the Soviets were leading 3–2, but after the first half, as the second half progressed, amazingly, the amateur US team, began to gain the upper hand.
The spectators were greatly shocked as the bunch of amateur American players finally beat the renowned Soviet hockey team; 4–3 and eventually carried home the gold medal.
This unexpected victory of the US team became known as “the miracle on ice”.
It was one of the most iconic moments in sports history. Sports Illustrated magazine called it the ‘greatest sports moment of the 20th century’. The International Ice Hockey Federation named it the best international ice hockey story of the past 100 years.

The truth is that in the game of life, the tables can turn at any time.
Especially, when you are a child of God, it is foolishness for anyone to rejoice at your failure because things are bound to change in your favor.
Micah 7:8 says “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”
Though the righteous may fall seven times, he will surely rise again. Though your beginning may be small, your later end shall greatly increase. By covenant, our path is meant to keep shining brighter and brighter, which means things can only keep getting better and better.
We serve the God of sudden visitations who is the ultimate game changer.. As we concern ourselves with honoring God, He can suddenly tip the scale of His blessings in our direction.
The secret to a divine change of story is to keep making God our number one priority. When you put God first, you can never become last.
God honors those that honor Him and He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
Therefore to see miracles of sudden changes, let us draw closer to God through a diligent commitment of studying the Word, prayers, worship and giving towards the Gospel.
When God is involved in your endeavors, your situation can suddenly change from ordinary to extraordinary and from grass to grace. Especially, in this 9th month which symbolizes a season of birthing, as we draw closer to the Holy Spirit, we shall be birthing new ideas through divine inspiration.
Through the quickening of the Spirit we will manifest the overtaker’s anointing for speedy accomplishments.
By God’s grace, it shall be our turnaround season of testimonies where every sadness is about to be converted to gladness and every disappointment turns into a blessing.

PRAYER;
Father, I thank You for bringing a sudden positive change to my story. I know it is indeed my season to see greater dimensions of Your miracle, signs and wonders in all my endeavors in Jesus Name.
