Rene Martinez spent the majority of his life in and out of jail. He was arrested several times for breaking into homes, stealing guns, dealing drugs, and getting into fights. Martinez’s problems began at a young age when his mother, who practiced witchcraft, made animal sacrifices over him. He experienced demonic visions throughout his childhood, and by age 12, he had turned to violent crime and joined a street gang.
He survived numerous close encounters with death, including multiple shootings and a coma at 14 years of age. Many of his friends either died young or ended up serving life sentences. He later transitioned from street crime to professional bare-knuckle fighting, where he won many fights and achieved success, yet he still felt an inner void.
By this time his mother, who had converted to Christianity, began praying fervently for him. Her prayers were answered in 2013 when Martinez had a profound supernatural encounter where he heard Jesus telling him, “I spared you for such a time as this.”
Realizing that God was the One who had saved him from several deaths, Martinez repented and committed his life to Christ. Today he is a pastor spreading the Gospel around the world.

God’s love has spared us from the enemy’s plan of destruction and destined us to live a life of glory. Truly His love has the power to transform the vilest sinner and change the most impossible circumstances.
No matter how terrible a person’s story may appear, it is never out of reach of God’s love.
God’s love can destroy any yoke, break any chain, and establish a change of story in our lives.
God has delivered us from destruction, sin, and eternal death by His love manifested toward us through Christ (1 John 4:9).
When we realize the depth of God’s love, our only right response is obedience.
Obedience is how we honor the One who loved us first—it is our grateful response to the immeasurable sacrifice of Christ.
Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
Every act of obedience to God’s Word is both proof of our love for Him and a testimony of His love working in us.
Through focus on God’s Word, positive pictures are painted in our minds that lead to definite transformations.
Since God has shown us such great love by delivering us, let us show our love for Him by obeying His Word, living in holiness, and walking in righteousness.
Our obedience to God is the pathway to a life of glory, peace, and fulfillment.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You that it is my portion to experience positive transformation in every area of my life in this season. Surely, through Your amazing love, nothing can hinder my breaking forth on every side, in Jesus’ Name.
