Isaiah 45:3[NIV] ‘I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name…’’
DAILY READING; • Luke 4:1-30; Ezekiel 44-45; Isaiah 64
At only six years of age, Yates Ira Griffith lost his father. His mother moved with her six children to another County. But only six years later, she also died, leaving behind her little children to fend for themselves
Finding himself an orphan at just 12 years of age, life became a big struggle for Yates Ira Griffith. He signed up with his brothers to become cowboys and they tried every trade they could lay hands on.
When Yates grew older, he married the daughter of a Methodist minister and together they began working hard to have a better life.
With their meager savings they wanted to purchase a piece of land but their friends strongly advised against it. Ignoring the advice of friends and deciding to follow their own intuition, they bought a large 20,000 acre ranch on mortgage, to be paid off within three years. However, when the great economic depression hit America in the 1920’s, Yates and his wife, fell behind on their mortgage payments and the bank threatened to foreclose and take away everything they had.
Faced with financial troubles on every side, Yates had the divine leading to invite an oil company to test his land for oil.
The company was reluctant to dig there because they had never found oil in that region. However as Yates persuaded them, they came and drilled an exploratory well on the ranch, to their surprise, on October 28, 1926, they found a large reservoir of oil beneath the property, covering an area of over 41 square miles.
Yates became an instant millionaire and soon an oil boom town of Red Barn sprang up around the Yates homestead.
Today, Yates’ oil Field is famous in West Texas and ranked among as one of the top 10 producers of oil in the United States.
It takes divine wisdom and guidance to access the door to hidden riches of the earth.
When God says in Isaiah 45:3 that He will give us ‘the treasures of darkness and wealth stored in secret places,” it means He wants to open our eyes to things that would otherwise remain unseen, so we can claim what would otherwise remain unclaimed.
God alone knows where hidden riches are on the earth.
When we are guided by His divine wisdom, God will show us where to find oil and strike gold in life. One idea from God can catapult us to amazing heights of destiny.
Wisdom from the Holy Spirit is the key to profiting, fruitfulness and supernatural overflow in our endeavors.
Wisdom controls success and riches. Solomon who was the wisest king also became the richest king in history.
However, the wisdom we manifest depends on the level of attention we pay to the Word of God.
The Bible is God’s wisdom bank. It is the wisdom of God in print. When we are filled with the spiritual treasures of revelation and knowledge from God’s Word, the Spirit then guides us to the physical treasures on earth.
Many of us could be sitting on top of great wealth today without knowing it, but as we connect to the Holy Spirit in this new month of September, He will grant us access to these hidden riches. It is God’s design to reveal His treasures to those that love Him and who are seeking first His Kingdom.
Because we love God, what eyes have not seen, what ears have not heard and what has not even come into the mind of men, is what the Lord will be doing for us in this new season!
PRAYER: Lord, Please give me the grace to always connect to Your divine guidance and wisdom, so that Your great plans and purpose for me, can come into full manifestation this year in Jesus Name. .
