OCTOBER 23; NOTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD..

Jeremiah 32:27 ‘Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?’

DAILY READING; Matthew 7; Exodus 37:1-38:31; Proverbs 17

David Winans was born outside of wedlock in 1934 by a mother who was a singer. After his birth, his father denied his paternity and his mother was left alone to raise him. Eventually, his paternal grandfather, Isaiah Winans, who was a pastor took him in and brought him up in the Church.
David followed his mother’s footsteps into music, and occasionally sang with Gospel bands. As a young adult, David got a regular job with the Dodge assembly line. But the day before his wedding in 1953, David Winans was shocked to find himself fired from his job. With no money, he and his new bride struggled financially, but they kept their focus on God.
During this time, David was appointed to take over as the pastor in his grandfather’s Church in Detroit. Besides pastoral work, David and his wife, sometimes worked two or three jobs to make ends meet, but the church was the most important part of their lives.
Over the years, they had ten children whom they endeavored to raise up in the ways of the Lord.
David was so committed in raising his children to follow the Lord that all their activities outside of school, revolved around the Church.
Being constantly in the Church, singing and music became a way of life for these ten kids and they began to exhibit great musical talents.
When they recorded their first album in 1983, the family’s musical talent finally came to the limelight and gained public acclaim. Today, few families have been influential on the development of Gospel music as the Winans family. Prominent among the Winans family is CeCe Winans who is the best-selling and most-awarded female Gospel artist of all time. As the patriarch of the family, David ‘Pop’ Winans enjoyed great honor and acclaim until his death in 2009.

The story of David Winans teaches us that men’s rejection cannot stop God’s projection for your life.
If you’re going to become all God has created you to be, you can’t let setbacks or disappointments stop you. You may get knocked down but don’t get knocked out. No matter what life throws your way, get back up and keep moving forward.
Understand that God has a plan of bringing forth beauty out of your ashes.
In the scriptures, Job went through all kinds of tough times, but in the midst of his pain Job still proclaimed, “I know my redeemer lives”. And in the end God brought full restoration and Job went on to live a blessed, happy life.
The truth is that in the game of life, everyone, at one time or the other has suffered some injury. But you can’t let your hurt be an excuse to quit playing. Sometimes you have to play even in the pain.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to soar even in the storm. Eventually every storm runs out of rain, just like the dark night turns into day.
Today, many people are sitting on the sidelines of life, nursing their wounds, not moving forward because of what they’ve been through. But that is not your case as a child of God. You have a victorious destiny in Christ: You may be challenged, but you are not permitted to be defeated. Christ causes us to triumph always (2 Corinthians 2:14).
No matter how contrary any situation, keep your focus on God’s Word until your mind is renewed to see things through the eyes of faith. God’s Word births the pictures of victory within us. And as we hold on to those inner pictures, they will eventually manifest as our outward reality.
Today, you may be a nobody, have no money, no name or fame, but never limit what God can do in your life. We serve the God of miracles to whom nothing is impossible. He says in Jeremiah 32:27 ‘Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?’
Certainly, nothing is too hard for God. Therefore, in everything let us give thanks. As you turn your pain to praise, and turn your worry into worship, surely, God will turn your battles into blessings.

PRAYER: Lord, I know with You nothing shall be impossible. Please help me to focus on your Word and to praise You always. I thank You because certainly, everything will eventually work together for my good in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 22; THE PRICE FOR BREAKTHROUGHS;

Psalm 126:6 says ‘He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.’

DAILY READING; Matthew 6:19-34; Exodus 35:1-36:38; Proverbs 16

The Industrial Revolution was a period of major changes in the way products are made. It took place more than 200 years ago and greatly affected the way people lived as well as the way they worked. England was the first country in which these changes took place. However, the Industrial Revolution soon spread to other European countries, the United States, and Japan.
The Industrial Revolution brought major changes that continues to affect civilization today. Because of the Industrial Revolution that happened in England in the 1760s today we can enjoy living in a civilized world. All the healthcare, transportation and technology we have today, was due to the Industrial Revolution.
Indeed the revolution changed the world, and opened up new chapters of civilization. However, the industrial Revolution was made possible because of the reformation.
The reformation was a period in history in which Christians were required to make drastic changes and sacrifices in their ways of living. During the reformation a lot of excesses in the church were dealt with. The result of these sacrifices shaped major features of Western culture that we see today, including freedom of religion, freedom of conscience, the dignity of the individual, and political democracy.
From the reformation, a new generation of believers emerged who were fervent in spirit and diligent in their work. The new work ethic then led to the development of capitalism, which eventually helped to usher in the industrial revolution. The Protestant Reformation fundamentally shaped the history of the centuries following it up until the present time.

Indeed a right spiritual positioning will often provoke a positive change of story. When you position yourself rightly, God brings about a revolution in your life that will catapult you from where you used to be to where you ought to be.
Christianity is a covenant-based faith. It is a faith of responsibility. Every provision in redemption has its condition. To experience the revolution we desire, we must ensure our lives are right before God.

In 1 Kings 18:30-39, before the fire could fall, Elijah had to rebuild the broken down altar of God. But after rebuilding it and offering sacrifices on it, the fire of God fell from Heaven and there was a revolution in the land.
There is always something to do to experience the breakthrough or revolution we desire to see in our lives. Revolution refers to drastic change. When God took Joseph from prison to the palace, it was a revolution as his story suddenly changed. Also when God took David from being a shepherd boy to become the king of Israel, his life was revolutionized. We can experience such drastic positive changes when we are willing to pay the required spiritual price. For us to experience a revolution, we need to move up higher in our prayers, study, fasting, praise and sacrificial giving.
Indeed we need to ask the Lord to show us in which area we need to repair any broken down altar im.oir lives.
As we study the Word, the Holy Spirit will quicken our minds and give us understanding of what to do to usher in our needed breakthroughs. Obedience to divine instructions could mean laying down our Isaac on the Altar, or getting rid of the Achan in our camp. But when we make the necessary adjustments, we will see the positive changes and miracles we desire. The price of obedience may not be easy, but the harvests will always be worth it. Though weeping may endure for a night, certainly joy comes in the morning. They that sow in tears, will at the end, reap in joy.

Psalm 126:6 says ‘He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.’

We all have areas in our lives where we need to make changes or improvements. . And today as we take the decision to make the required sacrifices as revealed to us by God, the Heavens will be opened up to us.
Our tearful seeds of obedience, will result in cheerful harvests of amazing open doors , miracles , and breakthroughs.

PRAYER: Lord, please show me what I need to do. No matter how difficult the instruction, please grant me the grace for obedience, so that I can experience my supernatural change of story in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 21; GOD WILL SURPRISE YOU!

Isaiah 65:24 ‘‘And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.’

DAILY READING; Matthew 6:1-18; Exodus 33:1-34:35; Proverbs 15.

Fifty six years ago, an unprecedented event transformed the Middle East and redrew the region’s map and landscape in fundamental ways.
This event was a war that transformed Israel from a nation fighting for survival into an occupier and regional powerhouse.
In 1967, Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq formed a military alliance supported by the Soviet Union to destroy the tiny nation of Israel. Each of those nations had more arms, equipment and manpower than all that Israel had. It was obvious that Israel could not survive the planned attack. It looked like another holocaust was pending. So many Israeli deaths were expected that all of the public parks in Jerusalem were designated as cemeteries by the rabbis in advance.
But the ensuing war became a historical game changer in the Middle East. In the six days duration of the war, many miracles were recorded. The sheer number of “coincidences” that happened in favor of Israel during that war was a clear indication of divine intervention. And when Israel eventually won the war it became perhaps the most amazing incident in the history of modern Israel. Suddenly, in six days, the Jewish people defended themselves, destroyed their enemies, tripled their land; recaptured control of Jerusalem for the first time in 2,000 years and on the seventh day they rested. And it was amazing that this happened in the year of Jubilee, which comes around only twice in a century.
The amazing victory and sudden expansion of their territory was unexpected by the Israelites. It was something they never thought would happen so soon, but it was obvious that God had brought a speedy fulfillment to His prophecy spoken years ago through the prophet Ezekiel, to multiply Israel.

God is able to do things quicker and faster than we think. In Acts chapter 12 after Peter was arrested, the disciples, were gathered together praying for Peter’s release. But Peter got out by such a speedy divine intervention that the disciples almost couldn’t believe it. It happened sooner than expected. All the circumstances said he wasn’t going to be released anytime soon, assuming he was ever to be released. But God had an unexpected miracle on the way. He knows how to do things faster than any of us could ever imagine.
There may be some things you’ve been praying about, that you think will take a long time to come to pass, but God is going to do it suddenly, unexpectedly, quicker than you thought. You’re still praying about it, and the answer comes knocking at the door.

Isaiah 65:24 says ‘And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.’

While you are yet praying, God has already set the miracle into motion. Like those disciples, you’re going to hear a knock on your door sooner than expected. Your obstacles may look insurmountable. It may look like you’ve come to a dead end in your pursuit, your health, or relationship. In the natural, the situation may look like what should take years to turn around. But suddenly God is going to do for you what He did for Peter. He’s going to supernaturally open those iron gates and bring you out. Suddenly, things are going to fall into place. Every circumstance may say it will not happen anytime soon, but the moment you began to pray, the tide of the battle began to change and God set the miracle into motion. You’re going to be so amazed, because you never thought the miracle would happen this fast.
It is your season of divine acceleration and you’re going to see doors open of their own accord. It’s simply the goodness of God. Things will happen, that you can’t explain, because you serve the God of miracles. God will supernaturally expand your territory and give you things that you didn’t deserve, favor will chase you down. Provision and divine healing will come looking for you. The hand of God is causing it all to fall into place.

Romans 9:28 says ‘For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.’

The Lord will indeed do a quick work for you. As you keep your mind focused on His Word and walk in obedience, a miracle will soon come knocking at your door. Indeed, God is about to surprise you with His surpassing goodness, unexpected opportunities and divine turnarounds.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for granting me the grace to meditate constantly on your Word so that my heart can be filled with the faith I need to believe You for a speedy, miraculous intervention in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 20; SET YOUR MIND ON GOD’S WORD..

Obadiah 1:17 ‘But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions’.

DAILY READING – Matthew 5:21-48; Exodus 30-32; Proverbs 14

In April 1997, workers at a palm oil company in Indonesia were clearing land for agriculture. They decided that the fastest way to clear the forests were to set it afire. Indonesia had been suffering a drought and the land was extremely dry.
As these workers at the palm oil company set fire to the forest, what started as a little fire soon turned into an uncontrollable inferno. For the next 18 months, the fires burned in Indonesia. Nearly 25 million acres of land across the country was destroyed. The smoke and haze from the fires adversely affected 18 million people in Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. The economic loss was estimated at $9.7 billion.
It was one of the world’s greatest environmental disasters: For well over two months an eerie and poisonous pall of gloom canopied the tropical skies. Visibility was down to one meter in some areas. Schools were closed, people were advised to stay indoors, many flights were cancelled and huge inconvenience was caused to travelers.

This avoidable disaster was caused because the workers at the Palm Oil Company did not first weigh the consequence of their actions.
We need to think through our actions before taking steps to avoid unforseen repercussions.
Today, there are things that seem commonplace in the world, but actually carry heavy spiritual consequences.
In this generation, many people toy with sin and treat it as something ordinary, not realizing that sin’s destructive potential can be far reaching.
When Israel left Egypt and journeyed to the Promised land, the highest number of people that were slain was due to immorality.
1 Corinthians. 10:8 tells us that 23,000 men fell in one day! This was the highest rate of calamity throughout their journey from Egypt to Canaan.
Samson, the strength of Israel in his time, lost his great glory on the laps of Delilah..
Elisha’s servant Gehazi was destined to obtain a double portion of his anointing, but he lost it to the sin of financial corruption.
Indeed to fulfill destiny there is need for soberness so that our glorious future will not be lost to sin.
To experience progress and prosperity, we must make a choice to avoid hiding sins in our lives . Proverbs 20:13 tells us, he who covers his sins will not prosper.
And one way to live a life of purity is by renewing our mind with God’s Word and refusing to become influenced by the world around us.
God’s Word carries sanctifying virtues that liberates from sin. Psalm 119:9-11 says ‘Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee’
1 John 3:9 says that whosoever is born of God does not commit sin because His seed is in him. And the seed is the Word of God. Therefore, when the seed of God’s Word abides in you, sin loses its hold on you. Another way of maintaining holiness is by engaging the help of The Holy Spirit through a prayerful lifestyle.
We are destined for great possessions on earth, but holiness is the key to it. (Obadiah 1:17)
Today, as we make a definite decision to obey God’s Word, it will certainly be our season to experience unprecedented open doors and amazing divine opportunities.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to live a life of holiness and purity so that I can walk in power and blessings. By Your grace in this season I shall possess my possessions and bring glory to You wherever I go in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 19; GOD’S WAYS ARE BETTER!

Isaiah 55:9 ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’

DAILY READING • Matthew 5:1-20; Exodus 28:1-29:46; Proverbs 13

Today, Kenneth Copeland is an internationally recognized preacher of the Gospel. But in his younger days, he was groomed to become a singing sensation and world-renowned superstar. He was mentored and trained by the same circle of people who brought Elvis Presley to fame.
Kenneth Copeland started out singing in nightclubs as a teenager. Then, in 1957, when he was 20 years old, he recorded a song called ‘Pledge of Love’, which became a hit, topping the charts.
This song would have turned Kenneth into an instant superstar, but interestingly on the very day the record was released, that same day Kenneth got drafted into the army for compulsory military service.
As his record was gaining rapid popularity he was unavailable to do shows or promotions and be seen by the public. Kenneth remained in obscurity, doing military duties while his record climbed the charts until it turned gold. Two of his contemporaries who also had their first records on the charts at the same time were Johnny Mathis and Elvis Presley, both of them rose to stardom.
By the time Kenneth was finally discharged from the Army, his song had dropped off the charts, and his name had been forgotten.
At that time Kenneth was frustrated at missing his chance at fame. However, today, he thanks Almighty God for protecting him from the kind of worldly success that could have truncated his destiny. His musical contemporaries, Johnny Mathis and Elvis Presley, ended up suffering from alcohol and drug addictions, which eventually led to Elvis Presley’s early death at only 42 years of age.
Instead of worldly fame, Kenneth Copeland gained an amazing ministry that is greatly blessing millions of people today.

Sometimes what may look like obstacles on our way could be divinely placed there to stop us from going down a wrong road.
In Numbers 22, an angel blocked Balaam’s path because he was on a wrong course.
Balaam’s donkey on seeing the angel stopped moving, but frustrated by the lack of progress, Balaam kept beating the donkey,, unaware that an angel was blocking his path.
The further Balaam went, the narrower the road got. Eventually God opened the mouth of the donkey to tell the prophet of his error.
Anytime the road keeps getting narrower it could be an indication it’s a wrong direction.
On the wrong road, the more you struggle to make progress the more the doors will close. You may wonder why God is not giving you what you want, but He is actually protecting you from disaster.
If you insist on following your own ways, but find that things are not just working, it may not be the devil fighting you. It could be the goodness of the Lord stopping you from going down the path of destruction.
If any endeavor consistently fails to yield desired results, we need to seek the Lord and find out what His thoughts are.
God’s plans are always better and greater than our own plans.
As the Heavens are higher than the earth so are God’s thoughts and ways higher than ours.
In a fast-paced, demanding world, full of lures, and glittering attractions, it can be tempting to seek shortcuts to fame and riches. However, there is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
To walk in obedience to the Lord, is to walk on the safest path in the world.
Therefore in all our pursuits, we need to step back and let God take the lead and guide us to His perfect will for us.
It is only when the Lord is our Shepherd, that we will be guided to our green pastures and access the greater open doors ordained for us.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to recognize when You are leading me away from the wrong paths. Please grant me spiritual sensitivity to always follow Your direction so that I can access the open doors You have ordained for me in Jesus Name

OCTOBER 18 : THE FIGHT OF FAITH!

1 Timothy 6:12 ‘Fight the good fight of faith lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.’

DAILY READING – -Matthew 4; Exodus 25-27; Proverbs 12

Joel Osteen’s mother, Dodie, is the co-founder of Lakewood Church in Houston. She is the author of the book, ‘Healed of Cancer’. In this book, Dodie Osteen shows the day-to-day way she got her healing from cancer through God’s help.
In December 1981, Dodie Osteen, was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the liver. The doctors told her she only had a few weeks to live. When the diagnosis came, Dodie knew that she had no hope except for the Word of God! So she decided to go home and seek God’s face. The doctors told her not to go home longer than 10 days, before returning to be admitted at the hospital. But she never went back. That day she made a decision to live by faith. When people would ask her how she was doing, she would say “By the stripes of Jesus I’m healed.” With every step throughout her day she would repeat a healing scripture. She had to cast down so many imaginations because fear and torment came against her, she had to bring all thoughts under the captivity of Christ. Every time the devil told her that she would die she would declare God’s Word instead. Though outwardly nothing seemed to change, she didn’t give up, she continued her good fight of faith. Like Abraham she “called things that were not as if they were.” She would envision herself well, see herself with her children grown, and seeing them become married. She made “healing cards” with healing scriptures on them. She would read them and remind God of His Word. The healing scriptures were her medication. Dodie, recognizing that Forgiveness is a key to healing, also took the time to write letters to everyone she felt she needed to ask forgiveness from. She also prayed for others, as Job prayed for his friends and was healed. Like Hezekiah she asked Jesus to give her extra years.
And eventually, to the amazement of the doctors, Dodie was declared totally healed of cancer. She has lived well and healthy since then with no further sign of cancer.

Indeed the Word of God works. Dodie could have given up right then when she heard the doctor’s verdict. But she knew that the Word of God is true, and decided to hold on to it until it became her reality.
God gave us His Word as building blocks for whatever we desire in our lives. The Word starts by building imaginations in our minds, and these mental pictures as we hold on to them become our actual future.
It is not just enough to read the Word, through meditation we allow the Word to build the right pictures in our minds. What you see within eventually is what you will experience outwardly. When you desire health, then meditate on healing scriptures until the picture is painted in your mind and you can see yourself healed. Once the inner picture is established within, it is only a matter of time before the outward picture becomes a reality.
Your mind is the greatest battleground of your life. It is where the devil tries to inject wrong thoughts in an attempt to stop you from experiencing your miracles.
Through His death on the Cross, Jesus has destroyed every work of evil in our lives and purchased for us divine benefits of health, prosperity and many blessings.

1 John 3:8 says ‘“..For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”

The Blood of Jesus is designed to demolish every stronghold of the enemy in any area of our lives. There is wonder-working, miracle-healing power in the Blood of Jesus that destroys all infirmities. But it takes faith to appropriate the redemptive benefits Christ has purchased for us.
This is why we keep meditating in The Word, to keep our hearts constantly filled with faith. When the Word dominates our lives then it is only a matter of time before we experience the miracles, signs and wonders that we desire from God.

PRAYER: Lord, please open my eyes to behold the wonders that are stored up in your word for me. Let pictures of your promises grip my mind until they become my reality. May I walk in the fullness of Your blessings in Jesus Name

OCTOBER 17; MIND THE COMPANY YOU KEEP!

1 Corinthians 15:33 ‘Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not.’

DAILY READING – Matthew 3; Exodus 24; Proverbs 11

Feral children are children abandoned or neglected by mankind and brought up under the care of wild animals. One of these children is John Ssebunya, who was born in Ugandan.
After seeing his mother murdered by his father, a traumatized 4-year-old John Ssebunya fled into the jungle, where he reportedly was raised by a troop of vervet monkeys. Spending more than two years with the monkeys, he learned how to search for food, move in the trees and travelled in the forest with the monkeys. He even grew fur around his face and body.
When he was discovered in 1991, he resisted capture from the villagers who sought to take him. By this time he was about seven years old, he was skinny and was squatting like a monkey.
When brought back to the village, he lacked proper speech and was totally wild so that everyone in the village was scared of him.
After undergoing rehabilitation, John was taught how to speak. In addition to learning how to communicate well, he also became able to sing.
Today, John tours with the Pearl of Africa children’s choir, which performs music, singing and dancing as they travel to different countries, especially the UK and USA.

We can take a lesson from John’s story and realize that the company we keep affects our thinking and ultimately affects our behavior.
While John lived with monkeys, he acted like them. His mind altered to the extent that even his bodily appearance began to adjust to that of a monkey’s.
But after rehabilitation, his mind readjusted and today, he is making notable influence as a singer. The truth is that every man is affected by his environment and the influences around him.
This is why as believers we have to be especially careful about the places and people we are constantly exposed to. No communication ever leaves us the same.
The Bible says evil communication corrupts good manners. Whether we like it or not, somehow the character of the people we constantly interact with will rub off on us and shape our thoughts and actions.
Today, spiritually, the world is like a wilderness with all manner of beastly behaviors and perversions going on right now. It is a place where sin is celebrated and many wild characters have become the norm.
To avoid becoming negatively affected, we have to always remind ourselves that though we are in the world we are not of the world.
We need to be very careful about the kind of company we keep and the kind of people we allow to influence us, because ultimately they will affect us. When we keep company with God through fellowship in His Word, His divine nature will be imparted into us, causing us to live as sons of God in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.
The hiding of God’s Word in our heart is what insulates us from the evil in the world. The entrance of His Word illuminates our minds to think right thoughts. And as we maintain the right mental pictures, it will eventually lead to a bright and glorious future.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to be sensitive to the kind of places and people I expose myself to. As I constantly meditate on Your Word, by Your grace my mind will be insulated from the negative influences in the world in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 16; YOU CAN POSSESS THE LAND!

Numbers 13:30 [NIV] ‘Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”.’

DAILY READING: • Matthew 2; Exodus 22:1-23:33; Proverbs 10

Hilary Hinton “Zig” Ziglar was an author, and motivational speaker, who was well known around the world.
He began early in life to seek success.
In 1947, when he was 21years old, Ziglar began working as a salesman and also later ventured into motivational speaking.
But despite how hard he worked, he was constantly broke and in debt.
He continued to struggle financially until when he was 45 years old.
Then something happened that changed everything for him. Though he had been attending Church since he was young , yet he never really had a personal relationship with God.
But on July 4, 1972, after the Gospel was preached to him in a new light, Ziglar totally surrendered his life to Christ.
Through study of the Word he began to see himself as no longer broke and unsuccessful, but as destined to excel through Christ.
He didn’t just make his faith a personal matter, but made it the foundation of his business. He began using Biblical principles to teach success and integrated his Christian belief into his motivational work.
With the renewing of his mind, his career soon exploded and many people began to flock to hear him. Ziglar went on to speak extensively to audiences around the world and authored over 30 books and also funded many Christian causes during his lifetime.

How you see yourself will determine whether you fail or succeed in life.
Until a man comes to Christ his mind will be blinded and he will keep struggling in life. Even in the midst of plenty, this man will only see penury and life will only be a tale of woes.
In Jeremiah 17, God describes the condition of the man whose heart is separated from the Lord
Jeremiah 17:5 says ‘Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD..
For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.’
The man who does not trust God will not see when good things come; rather he will only see desert-like conditions around him.
Then, Jeremiah 17; 7 -8 says ‘Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.’
The man who puts his trust in God will not see heat, harshness or dry seasons, rather he will keep seeing good things and keep flourishing.
The truth is that where we stand spiritually determines what we see in life.
While Paul was separated from God, he was a persecutor of the Church, but when he encountered the light of Christ, on the road to Damascus, the scales fell off his eyes and he became a great promoter of the Gospel.
The scales that fell off his eyes represent a spiritual covering that blinds the minds of men who have no real relationship with God.
In Numbers 13:33 ten of Israel’s twelve spies returned from the Promised Land and reported that they saw giants and felt like grasshoppers.
But Joshua and Caleb, who knew their God, saw things differently and said “Let us go up at once and possess it…for we are well able”
In this season, as we renew our thinking through God’s Word, surely, we will be positioned to access great open doors. Every fear, low self-esteem will disappear and we will move with faith and confidence to possess the land that God has ordained for us.

PRAYER: Lord, please open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Your Word. As my mind is renewed by Your Word, surely, I shall see only good things all the days of my life in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 14; WATCH AN PRAY!

Luke 21:36 “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man”.

DAILY READING; • Hebrews 13; Exodus 18:1-19:25; Proverbs 8

On 7 October 2023, Israel suffered one of the bloodiest attacks in its history when Palestinian militant groups led by Hamas invaded and killed about 900 Israelis and abducted dozens more.
The Palestinian militant group launched its massive surprise attack on Israel in the early morning with a rocket barrage of at least 3,000 missiles against Israel. The Palestinian militants breached the Gaza–Israel barrier, attacking military bases and killing civilians in neighboring Israeli communities. Unarmed civilian hostages and captured Israeli soldiers were taken to the Gaza Strip.
The invasion was met with an Israeli counteroffensive and a day later, Israel formally declared war on Hamas. Israel’s retaliation tagged operation iron sword has so far been strong, significantly hitting Hamas and promising to escalate in the coming days.
The ongoing 2023 Israel–Hamas war is part of the decades-long Arab–Israeli conflict, particularly the Gaza–Israel conflict.
Since 2006, Israel and Hamas have gone to war several times. Hamas avoided major engagements with Israel in 2022 and even most of 2023. Instead, Hamas appeared to have taken the time to prepare for their major offensive.

Events that surround Israel are not ordinary because its role in Bible history is unmatched by any other nation.
Israel has been described as “God’s barometer,” and “God’s prophetic clock,” because many end time events revolve around this Jewish nation.
It was only when modern Israel was birthed in 1948, that the stage became set for many Biblical end time prophecies to unfold.
To determine where we are on God’s timeline in the last Days, we need to keep our eyes on Israel, which is the epicenter of Biblical prophecy. Therefore, as we watch happenings in Israel today, we must understand that we are not just watching ordinary world events, but the countdown to the end of the age.
A day will come when it will not just be Hamas that will fight against Israel but a coalition of nations will come against her from all sides.
Ezekiel 38–39 speaks of a great battle that will occur in Israel in the “latter days” and that will involve a people from “Magog” led by a king named Gog.
It is believed that these invading armies represent Russia and Turkey from the north, Sudan/Libya (possibly including Algeria and Tunisia) from the south and west, and Iran from the east. Consequently, as this enormous military force surrounds Israel, in the war of Armageddon, God alone will deliver Israel from annihilation [Ezekiel 38:17–23).
With such Biblical expositions of coming events, we must be wise and refuse to be caught in spiritual slumber. Rather we must use this time to buy oil which represents the anointing and ensure our lamps are burning brightly.
Jesus said in Luke 21:36 ‘Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.’

Praying always sharpens our spiritual sensitivity and keeps us vigilant and watchful.
Therefore, rather than be conformed to the world in the last days let us stay spiritually alert through the renewal of our minds with God’s Word. As we seek God daily, He will enable us to live ready, so that we are not caught unawares by the events of these last days.

PRAYER: Father please enable me to heed Biblical warnings of these end-times through becoming spiritually alert. Please grant me the grace to constantly watch and pray so as to be sensitive to the leadings of Your Spirit in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 13; EXPAND YOUR THINKING!

Isaiah 54:2-3 [NKJV] “”Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left’.

DAILY READING; Hebrews 12; Exodus 16:1-17:16; Proverbs 7:6-27

Phillis Wheatley was a slave girl in the 18th century who rose to become the first Black woman poet of note in the United States.
Phillis was approximately seven years old, when she was kidnapped near the coast of West Africa and sold to slave ships. After enduring the harsh voyage across the Atlantic, she arrived in Boston in 1761. There, she was purchased by a prominent couple Susanna and John Wheatley, who renamed her Phillis after the ship that had brought her to the city and also gave her their surname.
God gave her favour before her owners, so that while working for the family, they taught her how to read and write, which was unusual at that time.
In less than two years, Phillis was able to fluently read the Bible and other books, after she had mastered English, she went on to learn Greek and Latin.
Phillis Wheatley composed her first poems as a young teenager and caused a stir among Boston scholars when her talented writings were made public.
The publication of her poems on various subjects, turned her into a transatlantic celebrity.
She would become a notable apologist, abolitionist, and missionary who garnered attention from politicians, including George Washington, for her religious writings which praised God and spotlighted important issues of that time, especially slavery.

Living at a time, when slaves had no recognition and racism severely restricted the success of any Negro, it is amazing that Phillis Wheatley could rise to international fame and acclaim.
The contents of her mind through divine illumination, made her to stand out and become celebrated despite being a slave.
The truth is that when your mind is upgraded through exposure to God’s Word, you will manifest such amazing potentials that will force your world to recognize you and celebrate you.
Only limited thinking can cause a person to live a limited life. Too often, we allow the limitations modeled to us by our upbringing and circumstances set the ceiling on how far we can go in life.
If you are not careful, you can allow your past to chain down your future. Overcoming limitations starts with changing your mindset.
You need to raise the bar of your expectations because as a child of the Almighty God, you are capable of greater things. To see greater open doors, we must enlarge our vision and expand our thinking.
It is time to break out of the “box” of your old thought patterns. Stop listening to the negative voices in your head that say you are never going to do better in life.
God says in Isaiah 54:2-3 (NKJV) “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left”.
By God’s grace it is your season to expand on every side. Where you are is not where you’re supposed to end up. You may have started out in obscurity, but you are headed towards becoming a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. No matter how difficult your circumstances may look now, understand that there is nothing impossible with God. No external situation can stop God’s purpose for you as long as you don’t give up.
What you need to do is to draw closer to God and trust Him to manifest His preordained plans for you in due season.
As you daily walk intimately with God, and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit, you will soon arrive at that glorious destination where you will become a wonder to your world.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to focus on following Your plans through prayers and consistent study of the Word. I thank You for opening greater doors of destiny for me in this season and taking me to greater heights in Jesus Name.
