Oil is a highly sought after commodity in the world. Anywhere it is discovered a sudden economic boom often follows..This was what happened during the Texas oil boom, also called the “gusher age’.
Before that time, the state of Texas was predominantly rural with no large cities, but in 1901 there was a drastic change. That year there was a discovery of a large petroleum reserve near Beaumont, Texas which was unprecedented in its size worldwide.
This discovery ushered in historical growth in Texas, and greatly impacted the American economy. Within a year, more than 1,500 oil companies had been chartered and soon America overtook the Russian Empire as the top producer of petroleum.
A few decades after the discovery of oil, the state of Texas became heavily industrialized and the population rapidly exploded.
The city of Houston was among the greatest beneficiaries of the boom. The Houston area became home to the largest concentration of refineries and petrochemical plants in the world. The city grew from a small commercial center in 1900, to one of the largest cities in the United States. Indeed the discovery oil made a huge difference in the state of Texas.

In the same way, the discovery of the oil of the Spirit or the Anointing also brings sudden positive changes into a man’s life. The Anointing is a mystery that leads to sudden overflow. For anyone who pays the required price to find it, it makes a world of difference in their lives. In Acts chapter 2, when the Anointing came upon the apostles, their lives suddenly revolutionized.
In 1 Samuel 16 when David was anointed with oil, the Spirit of the Lord came upon him from that day forward and he began to do exploits and eventually stood out in his generation.
As believers, the Anointing is what distinguishes us and announces us to our world.
The Anointing is what breaks every yoke and destroys every stagnancy. It is what causes our lives to bloom, bringing rapid progress and sudden positive changes. The Anointing will cause the glory of the Lord to arise upon us and draw kings to the brightness of our rising. Moreover, it will drive away evil beasts from our habitations and surround us with inexplicable favour. Indeed the Anointing is what enables us to live in victory, supernatural faith and power. To truly enjoy overflow and finish strong this year, let us begin to fervently seek the Lord with all our heart for a fresh encounter with His anointing. (Jeremiah 29:13-14).
When we find Him there shall be a reward and surely our expectations for this year shall not be cut short.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to pay the required price to seek You fervently. By Your Anointing may every yoke in my life be broken and may I begin to enjoy overflowing blessings in every area of my life in Jesus Name

During the 2004 tsunami, the Indian village of Kovalam was one of the places of the worst devastations. But amazingly no life was lost because of the heroic actions of a Christian priest in the town named Susai Antony.
When the priest noticed the first waves of the tsunami sweeping in, he lost no time in making announcements through the public announcement system, alerting people to immediately vacate their coastal houses. When some people seemed reluctant to heed his warnings, the priest himself went down the seashore and began to force them to move to safety.
As he was frantically hurrying residents of the village away from the shore, the waves struck again and the priest was pulled in by the water. Though people initially thought he had drowned, however, he survived by clinging to the concrete structure of a house.
In the aftermath of the tsunami, about 180 houses and many boats in the coastal village were destroyed or washed away by the invading waves. But all the residents were safe.
This was not case in the villages around them where many lives were lost because they received no early warning of the incoming waves. However, the people of Kovalam village miraculously escaped because of one man’s commitment to warn them and lead them to safety.

Today, it seems as if an evil tsunami is trapping many people in its massive waves. There is an influx of iniquity in the world, like never seen before, and many people are being drowned in it.
As believers we have a responsibility to shine the light of the Gospel into the world and lead men to deliverance..We are called to be watchmen on the wall to stand in the gap and intercede in prayers.

Ezekiel 22:30,31 says ‘And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.’

In these last days, we should make ourselves available to be used by God to save the souls of the perishing.
The coming of Jesus caused the people which sat in darkness to see a great light; and those who sat in the region and shadow of death were saved by His light.[ Matthew 4:16]
And as the Father sent Jesus, so has He sent us to bring the light of the Gospel to men.
However, we cannot give what we don’t have. We must therefore accept the spiritual responsibility of a consistent lifestyle of prayers, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit so as to keep our fire burning. By so doing we will accomplish God’s will upon the earth and be rewarded with His overflowing blessings upon our lives.

PRAYER; Father, please help me to accept the spiritual responsibility of prayers and study of the Word so that my life will shine brightly to bbring delivrrance to men in Jesus Name.

The Crusades were military expeditions by Christians to wrest the Holy Lands from Moslem control during the medieval period.
In 1202, a fourth crusade was initiated to re-capture Jerusalem after it fell into the hands of the Muslims. Armies were gathered from across Europe for this purpose. A nominal leader of the crusade was Boniface of Montferrat. While on the way to their mission to Jerusalem, Boniface made a detour to visit his cousin, the king of Germany, known as Philip of Swabia. This proved to become one of the costliest detours in history. On that visit Boniface was enticed to abandon his mission and head to Constantinople instead to help reinstate Prince Alexius IV Angelus on the throne for a handsome payment of gold and silver.
After the crusaders helped reinstate the prince they were enraged to find that he  failed to fulfill his promises. In retaliation, the crusaders attacked and plundered the city, despite the fact that Constantinople was the world’s largest Christian city at the time. Their action infuriated people in the surrounding Christian towns. This eventually led to the collapse of Christendom in the region and in the long run facilitated the expansion of Islam right into the heart of Europe.

To reach our highest potential, we have to avoid distractions from our mission and vision.
Many of us have been called to great assignments but allowing unnecessary detours on the journey is threatening to abort that vision. Especially in these last days, our focus should be on fulfilling God’s divine assignment for our lives, rather than allowing ourselves to be distracted by mundane pursuits of gold and silver. Indeed there is a need for soberness so that our place will not be lost in destiny. Right now the tempo of distractions are at an unprecedented level on the earth, the enemy is releasing his greatest temptations and weapons of mass distraction to derail many from their divine call.
As believers, our destiny is under serious contention this is why we can no longer afford to entangle ourselves with things that have no eternal value.
Therefore in this season, let our main focus be on the pursuit of God and His kingdom. This is the key to enjoying constant victory and overflowing blessings!
Truly as we seek God’s kingdom first, every other thing will be added unto us.

PRAYER: Lord, Please enable me to maintain the right focus in life. Help me never to give room to distractions but rather to keep pursuing after You and Your kingdom at all times in Jesus Name!

Samuel Moore Walton was an American business magnate best known for founding the retailers Walmart.
Sam was already 44 years old when he opened the first Walmart store in 1962. But through engaging divine help, he grew the business rapidly.
Sam Walton, was a devout Christian, who taught Sunday School for most of his adult life. Through God’s favour he was able to gain acceleration in his pursuits. Just 14 years after opening the first store, Wal-Mart became a publicly traded company with share value worth of $176 million. By the early 1990s, Wal-Mart’s stock worth had jumped to $45 billion. And in 1991 Wal-Mart had become America’s largest retailer.
Sam Walton was a tither and great philanthropist who supported many Christian causes during his lifetime. At his death he left an estimated $100 billion fortune to his wife and four children. However, he was such a strong believer in tithing that through several legal provisions on his trust funds he made it impossible for his descendants not to tithe on the revenues of his company and on their inheritance. And as a result of these legal provisions, today, all Waltons, not only tithe, but also give offerings from their inheritance.

Dedication to the cause of God’s kingdom undoubtedly leads to accelerated success in life. It doesn’t matter how late you may start any venture, through divine help, you can recover lost years and overtake even those who started before you.
In Joel 2, through disobedience to God, the Israelites had suffered setbacks and complete destruction of their entire harvest by swarms of locusts.
But as the nation turned in repentance to God, He promised them restoration and to make up for the lost years with overflow harvest.[Joel 2:24-25]
Truly, when we commit ourselves to sincerely serve God, He will bring a divinely accelerated overflow that will restore lost years back to us. When God’s hand comes upon a man, he experiences inexplicable speed in life’s race.
We saw in I Kings 18:46, how Elisha outran horses and chariots because of God’s hand that came upon him.
Likewise, in our lives God’s hand can suddenly pull the switch of favor and take us from the background to the foreground.
Hardwork and diligence are important and will take us up to a certain height in life, however, it will take divine acceleration to cause our cup to run over.
As you remain faithful in serving God, what should have taken you many years to accomplish, can happen in a sudden moment.
In this season, trust God to give you favour in the place of labour. Before the end of this year, may the touch of His favor push you into overflow and cause you to break forth to unprecedented levels of accomplishments in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your divine help. You are the God of miracles, signs and wonders and I know that even now You are working in my life and taking me to enviable heights of exploits in Jesus Name.

Currently Israel is fighting wars on 7 different fronts. They’re battling Iran, Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, Shia militants in Iraq, militant groups in Syria as well as Palestinian fighters in the West Bank.
Despite this overwhelming situation, God’s divine hand of protection has been strongly evident as many of the missiles fired towards Israel hardly find their mark. Interestingly an Israeli artist named Yaron Bob, has resorted to transforming these failed weapons into expressions of beauty. He is a sculptor who has become famous for transforming ‘rockets into roses’.
He gathers shards of metal from the missiles and turns them into pieces of art, including jewelry.
Bob knows firsthand how it feels to live in the shadow of terror. He resides in Yated, a small Israeli community near the border with the Gaza strip and he has had several close calls with incoming rockets that could have killed him.
Instead of bemoaning his situation, he decided to turn the instruments of death into items of beauty and décor.
His unique form of art has distinguished him and many top world dignitaries have been presented with his sculptures of “rockets to roses”.
Interestingly, what the enemy meant for evil has turned around to make Yaron Bob famous and celebrated.

It is God’s will for us to be refined by problems rather than to be defined by them. Indeed rather than let situations of life affect us negatively we can affect them positively.
It is not the storm as much as our reaction to the storm that determines its effect upon us.
Through faith in God’s Word, we can change problems into possibilities, and turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
No matter the attacks or negative situations you may face, you can rise from the ashes and experience a dramatic turnaround.
Life is not always fair, but God is able to take what was meant for your harm and use it to your advantage. You may not understand everything that happens, but you can always trust that God is working out a higher purpose in your life. Therefore don’t give in to negative emotions and allow them to keep you from God’s overflowing blessings and promotion. Fix your eyes on Jesus and not on the negativity. Always stay in faith through study of God’s Word and maintain a lifestyle of fervent prayers and praise.
As you do so, certainly, God will cause everything to work together for your good.
Today, by God’s grace, no weapon fashioned against us shall ever prosper. What was meant for evil will turn around for our greater good..The breakdowns will turn to our breakthroughs. Where we were meant to  fail, we will rather keep soaring higher and breaking forth on every side.

PRAYER;
Lord, please help me to always fix my eyes on Your promises and not on problems. I bless and praise You for I know that even right now, You are turning everything around for my good in Jesus’ Name.

Michael James Lindell wanted to make money early in life, so he dropped out of the university and focused on working at two jobs. At one of the jobs which was at a grocery store, he got fired due to disagreements with the manager.
However, Michael believed that being fired was one of the best things to have happened to him, because it sparked his entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2004 the idea for a business came to him and he began to work on creating the kind of pillow that people would love.
At that time Michael Lindell was battling with a lot of challenges including drug addiction. However, as he came to know God and relied on His strength, his fortunes began to change. His business which had been experiencing failures, began to see massive success. From very discouraging sales figures, the sales began to soar.
Michael Lindell’s company continued to expand greatly and today it has close to 1,500 employees. His company has sold over 30 million pillows, and revenues have grown to around $300 million annually.
Michael Lindell continually recognizes God as the source of his dramatic success. He also remains thankful for being fired from his grocery job, because though the enemy meant it for evil, God turned it all around for his good.

Through God’s grace, things meant for our destruction can be turned around for our construction.
No matter how discouraging any condition, God can step in suddenly to alter the seasons and circumstances in our favor. He can use the situations that are trying to push us down to move us up. He can use our breakdowns to propel us forward to our breakthroughs and season of overflow.

1 Peter 4:12-14 tells us not to think it strange that we sometimes pass through fiery trials because it will eventually lead to the revelation of the glory of Christ in our lives and we will end up with exceeding joy.
Truly, redemption guarantees us a supernatural turnaround and victory. Therefore any time we face challenges , we must learn to always keep blessing the Lord. As we do so, what looks like troubles will ultimately end up serving God’s plan and purpose in our lives. In every battle we are guaranteed victory through the Blood of Jesus.
As we draw closer to the end of this year, let us remain thankful and full of anticipation because God is set to do great things. He crowns the year with good things therefore we are about to see greater wonders in the coming days as our lives overflow with glorious blessings of every kind.

PRAYER:
Lord I thank You for how far You have brought me this year. By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I know I am about to see even greater manifestations of Your blessings in my life in this season in Jesus Name..

Dr. Joon Gon Kim was the national director of Campus Crusade in South Korea and highly respected Christian leader.
He was a man whose heart burned with revival fire. He worked hard towards the evangelization of Korea and the spread of the Gospel to North Korea, China and beyond.
In 1980, Dr. Kim began planning a crusade in South Korea, where millions of people were expected to be in attendance. Though the government gave permission for the crusade to hold, yet six months before the event, the police informed Dr. Kim that they were revoking the permission due to the political turmoil in South Korea at the time.
Disappointed but not defeated, Dr. Kim decided to change things through prayer. He and his team went to a prayer mountain and spent 40 days there before God in prayer and fasting for the crusade.
At the end of the prayers, they went back to the police and surprisingly got a different response. The officers said to Dr. Kim, “we have changed our mind and you can have your meeting!”
And so they were eventually able to hold the crusade which produced amazing statistics; A total of more than 16 million people attended all the meetings held during the five days and more than 1 million people made salvation decisions.

Truly, prayer shifts things in the spirit realm to establish victory for us in the physical realm. Through prayer, the enemy’s plots are shattered and we record unprecedented progress in our endeavors.
Challenges are real to life and sometimes it may seem as if the forces coming against you are greater than what you can handle. But God has given us the power to wage war against every enemy of our destiny and crush every opposition to our advancement.
The believers who will stand in victory are those who know how to go on their knees.
As a child of God, you are never meant to be stranded in life. Through spiritual tenacity, you can break down every resistance, overcome all oppositions and continuously enjoy overflow. Through spending quality time in study of the Word, prayer and praise you can spiritually re-organize any negative circumstances.
Therefore today, instead of worrying or fretting over any issue of concern, let us begin to seek Gods face. God causes supernatural things to happen when we boldly come to His throne of grace in times of our needs.
Every hanging blessing or delayed expectations for this year, can be brought into speedy manifestation as we take time to pray. As we ask in accordance with God’s Word and believe, surely we shall receive and surely nothing shall be impossible unto us. [Matthew 19:26]

PRAYER; Father, thank You for granting me the grace to accept spiritual responsibility and begin to seek You with fervency. As I do, I praise You for granting me speedy answers and exceeding my expectations in Jesus Name.

In 1915, 17 years old Marion Wade became a baseball player and joined the team of Chicago Braves. But five years later when he got married, Marion left his sports career and became a salesman in order to adequately provide for his family. When his finances didn’t improve he decided to start a business of providing moth-proofing services. But in 1944, while trying to moth-proof a customer’s office, there was a chemical explosion and Marion was temporarily blinded. On his hospital bed, Marion realized that he may have suffered the accident because, even though he was a Christian, he had not actively involved God in his business.
When he rededicated himself to seek God more earnestly, miraculously, his sight was restored. Thereafter he resolved to always honor God in all his endeavors.
He began workdays in his office with prayers and devotions, and named his business ‘the Service of the Master’, later shortened to ServiceMaster. The positive impact of following Biblical principles made Marion’s small business to experience astronomical growth and expansion.
By the end of the 20th century it was reaching $7.7 billion in annual sales. Today, it is a globally recognized enterprise which has established roughly 5,000 company-owned and franchised outlets in nearly 40 countries.

To experience overflowing blessings in our endeavors, we need to always give God the honor due to Him. In our lives, homes, businesses, careers, and in everything, God must take the first place.
God said in 1 Samuel 2:30, ‘For them that honour Me I will honour, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed’.
The more we celebrate God, the more He elevates us. And one way we honor God is by praising Him continually.
When we give God praise we are planting seed that will bring forth the fruit of His fearful acts in our lives, because God is fearful in praises.
As we engage in tireless thanksgiving, we will experience the overflow of endless miracles.
To experience positive turnarounds and supernatural expansion let us be deliberate in honoring God in all our endeavors.
God moves mightily in any place where He is continually being celebrated.
Today, as we bless Him for how far He has brought us this year, certainly we will see greater blessings and wonders in the coming days. Therefore as we step into this new week, let us join the host of Heaven in praise and to proclaim ‘..Unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.’ [1 Timothy 1:17].

One morning in October 2006, Jeff Markin was driving to work, when he began to feel grossly unwell. He immediately headed to a hospital in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Just as he walked into the emergency room, he collapsed from a massive heart attack.
As the supervising cardiologist in the hospital, Dr. Chauncey Crandall led a team that shocked Jeff repeatedly several times with defibrillator paddles, but there was no response. Jeff was eventually declared dead and as a nurse prepared his body for the morgue, Dr. Chauncey Crandall, headed on to the next patient.
But before he crossed the door, he heard God telling him to turn around and pray for the dead man. He wanted to ignore that voice, but being a Christian who seeks to obey God, he eventually walked back inside the room. Despite the embarrassing and incredulous looks of the other medical personnel, he began to pray to God to raise up the dead man.
After praying, Dr. Crandall then asked the ER physician to shock the patient one more time, as he did, a perfect heartbeat appeared on the monitor.

In this season of overflow, do not allow outside circumstances make you doubt God’s Word. The fight of faith demands tenacity, consistency and endurance. You need to be resilient even when you don’t see any evidence. Even if outside circumstances seem to contradict what God is saying, let your slogan be ‘Let God be true and every man and devil be a liar.’ Certainly, if God has said it, then He would do it.
Outside situations may be telling you that it’s too late in the year, you’re too broke, it can’t happen, but listen rather to what God is saying to you in His Word.
In Isaiah 43:19, God says He will do a new thing. He says He will make a way in the wilderness, and cause rivers to run in the desert.
Certainly, in the valley of dry and dead bones, God can bring forth life and raise a mighty army. In the place of sickness and drought, God can send forth a downpour of health and blessings.
But this will happen when we take time to listen in the Word and hear what the Lord says. Truly one Word from the Lord can change our lives forever.

PRAYER: Lord please help me to always focus on what is written in Your Word, rather than on what is happening around me. Thank You Lord, for working in my life to reverse every negative situation in Jesus Name. .

However in 1875, when the U.S. financial crisis erupted, Heinz’s company was grossly affected and soon became bankrupt. The Collapse of his Company made Henry to experience serious setbacks and emotional stress. But through faith and prayers, he was eventually able to get back on his feet.
At 31-years, Henry Heinz had to start all over again from scratch. As he refused to give up and worked hard, in the span of just a few years, his business became again incredibly successful and expanded beyond his wildest imagination.
Today the Heinz company is a successful global company that grosses billions of dollars in annual income and is the fifth largest food company in the world.
Heinz’s descendants and relatives have been positively impacted by the legacy he left. Among his descendants are U.S. Senators, great business men, and among his relatives is the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.

The LORD is the strength and shield of those whose hearts trust in Him, and He will help them early (Psalm 28:6-7).
Though we may sometimes experience trials, afflictions, or setbacks, we must always keep our focus on Jesus, keep moving forward, and never give up. When the goal before you becomes more powerful than the obstacle behind you, you will always win. Through faith in God, you can slay the giants on your path and ascend to your destined throne.
Though you may not sometimes understand everything you go through, always know that God is in control and He has a great plan and purpose for your life.
As you keep doing what is right, God is building character in you, and you are passing the test. And remember, the greater the test, the sweeter, the testimony.
Though there may be bumps and detours on life’s journey, we must learn to despise present challenges and keep looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.[Hebrews 12:2]
Today, be assured that regardless of what you may have seen so far this year, your greatest days are ahead. As you keep moving forward in faith you will soon experience amazing realms of overflow and truly break forth on every side.
