JUNE 20 : DO NOT BE WEARY!

Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

DAILY READING          1 Thessalonians 2:1-16; Isaiah 14-16; Psalm 113
In 1832, at 23 years old, Abraham Lincoln became partner in a small store. However, the business ended in bankruptcy. The same year, he ran for the legislature only to fail in the election. In 1833, he failed in business again. Then he took a job as a surveyor, only to have his creditors levy on his instruments, without which he could not continue. In 1834, Lincoln was elected to the legislature, but within a few months his fiancée died, leading him to a nervous breakdown. He had to be taken 300 miles away to the home of his devoutly Christian parents, to recuperate. Again he tried to rebuild his life. He ran for Speaker of the State House and lost. In 1843, he ran for nomination for congress and was resoundingly defeated. In 1846 he was finally elected to Congress, but after a two year term his constituents refused to re-elect him. He tried to earn a living as a land officer and was rejected for that office in 1849. He ran for the Senate in 1854 but had to step aside for another candidate. He was defeated for nomination as vice president in the convention of 1856. He tried for the Senate again in 1858. He was overwhelmingly defeated. Finally in 1860 he was elected President of the United States.

Because Abraham Lincoln refused to quit, he eventually won.

Galatians 6:9 says ‘And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not..’

Everyone faces difficulties. We all sometimes have obstacles that may seem impossible to overcome. But understand that, if only you can stand strong in the midst of these trials and difficulties, you will surely win in the end. The only difference between a piece of black charcoal and a priceless diamond is the amount of pressure that it’s endured. When you endure to the end, you will surely reap.

Life may be full of challenges, and there will be giants on the road to your Canaan, but determine that by God’s help you will overcome.

2 Corinthians 2:14 says ‘Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ’

To triumph always, means you will be challenged always. But understand that each storm only comes to make you stronger and they never last forever. And with the right attitude, Problems will end up promoting you.

However one strategy the enemy often uses is to try to wear you down. If a battle is taking longer than we thought, we often tend to become weary. When you are working hard but not seeing the immediate result, the tendency is to become weary. Many people are suffering from battle fatigue.

Sometimes, it seems you have been waiting too long for your breakthrough, for your divine healing, your victory, your marriage or miracle baby. But understand that it is when you endure to the end that you reap. Therefore be prepared to keep doing all you can do until your miracle comes.

God said “Don’t be weary in well doing”, because He knew weariness would come.  So don’t get discouraged. God is still on the throne. Your time is coming. Your due season is on the way. Keep meditating on God’s Word and hold on to His promises.

Revelation 12:11 says ‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.’

Be ready, therefore to overcome by the blood. The blood of Jesus guarantees you victory. Today, begin to release the blood against every force of sickness, poverty, delay, evil habits and everything fighting your destiny. No matter what comes, keep pressing forward, you are closer to victory than you imagined.

Attitude determines altitude, therefore keep praising God even in the storm. And you will soon see Him turn your mourning into dancing.
PRAYER: Lord, I am truly grateful for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. And I thank You for giving me the strength to overcome every obstacle on my way. I know that even now, You are working all things together for my good in Jesus’ Name.

JUNE 19 : GOD IS MIGHTY TO DELIVER

1 Samuel 14:6  KJV

For there is no restraint to The Lord to save by many or by few.
DAILY READING            1 Thessalonians 1; Isaiah 11-13; Psalm 112
Amazing testimonies in Israel have continually proven that God is the defender of His people. In Israel today, one of the war memorials is the monument of an old cannon which is called the Davidka or ‘little David.’  During the 1948 independence war, when Israel grossly lacked weapons, Jewish scientists resorted to producing homemade weapons to aid in the war. And one of these was the Davidka, modeled after a Czech weapon. However, during the war, when the Davidka was put to use, it turned out to be a great disappointment. It was a primitive cannon that was very inaccurate. As a homemade weapon its effectiveness was more in the amount of noise it made, rather than on its ability to hit a target. The bark of the Davidka was definitely more than its bite.  However it proved crucial in the battle of Safed. On the night of 9th -10th May 1948, during the battle for the town, Jewish soldiers, with no better option, used the Davidka in the battle.  The soldiers set up the cannon and attempted to shell the Arab positions. Due to its ineffectiveness as a weapon, it could not do the expected  damage to the Arab quarters. The Jewish soldiers were quite frustrated by the poor performance of the Davidka. It seemed obvious that they would lose the battle. But as they contemplated defeat, something incredible happened. The noise of the davidka had created fear. When the Arab fighters and residents of the city heard the noise of Davidka, they became terrified, believing it was a new secret weapon of the Jews. Soon rumors began to spread that the Jews had acquired an atomic bomb.  And suddenly the Arabs began to flee. By the next day, the town had been totally evacuated. Israeli soldiers then easily went in and took the city, without further battle.

Sometimes what we think is a setback is really a setup for God to do something great. The Davidka looked initially like a disappointment, but then God used it to strike fear into the hearts of the enemies. Indeed God can use anything to bring deliverance to His people. God knows how to take a disappointing situation and turn it around to your advantage! God knows how to use the weak things to confound the wise. God is not limited to save by few or many. He can use options we never even considered.

In Joshua 24, the Israelites were up against seven nations that were bigger and stronger than them. These nations had more equipment and more training. The Israelites didn’t stand a chance against them. How did God get rid of these seven powerful nations? God sent insects against them. He said in Joshua 24:12  ‘And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you..’

Indeed God knows how to fight our battles. In 2 kings 7, God amplified the footsteps of the four lepers such that the Syrian army became afraid. 2 Kings 7:6-7 says ‘For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host:’ and because of the noise they heard, the Syrian army arose and left their tents, and  fled for their lives.    Likewise, God will cause those against you to hear such news about you, that they will abandon their case against you and flee.

No matter what the situation may be, do not limit what God can do. Be assured that whatever it takes, God is committed to your victory. And He can use anything to accomplish it. Therefore quit worrying about how everything is going to turn out. God is in control. Just keep praising Him.

When you face adversity, you need to remind yourself that whatever is trying to defeat you could very well be what God will use to promote you. No matter how initially difficult things may seem, understand that as you trust God, behind the scenes, He is arranging all the pieces to work together for an incredible miracle for you. If God can rescue the three Hebrew boys from fire, divide the red sea, shut up the mouth of lions, cause earthquakes and raise the dead, then be assured that He is not at all limited in organizing a rescue for you.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your awesome deliverance in my life, Please  grant me fresh appetite for Your Word so that I can acquire the faith I need to become a winner in the battles of life in Jesus Name. .

JUNE 18 : EXCEEDING RICHES OF GOD’S GOODNESS

Ephesians 2:6-7
‘And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”
DAILY READING – 1 Thessalonians 1; Isaiah 11-13; Psalm 112
Vesna Vulović  holds the Guinness world record for surviving the highest fall without a parachute. On 26 January 1972 while working as an air hostess on a Serbian flight, their plane crashed near Czechoslovakia and she survived  a fall of 33,330 ft  to the ground. Air safety investigators attributed the crash to an explosion from a briefcase bomb, left by terrorists. She was the sole survivor of the crash, which  killed the other 27 passengers and crew.

Her survival was because her body was pinned to a central part of the plane, by a food trolley, which prevented her from being blown apart when the plane exploded. As she fell, pine trees and snow cushioned the final impact. Her screams were heard by a woodsman. Fortunately he had served as a German Army medic during world war 2 and so knew how to treat her bleeding, until help arrived and she was taken to the hospital.

When news of her survival broke, the media found it hard to believe. No one had ever survived a fall from such a great height before without a parachute. But analysis from the plane’s black box proved that she actually fell from that height. Despite her numerous injuries that left her temporarily paralyzed, within ten months, she was back on her feet and resumed working.

Following the crash, Vulović realized that only God could have saved her. Though previously she had been unserious about her faith, but  after the accident, new faith in God, was ignited in her. She realized that she shouldn’t have survived, yet God in His mercy had delivered her.
We have all experienced God’s undeserved, unearned, unexplainable goodness in our lives, at some point or the other. God’s constant dealing with us shows His goodness towards us. Even our salvation is a reflection of God’s mercy and goodness, because while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. We were completely unworthy of His goodness, yet, in our sinful condition He was willing to show us mercy. And now as believers in Christ, God is set to do even greater and mightier things for us.

Romans 8:32 says ‘He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?’

God desires to bless us beyond all expectations. The truth is that God wants to manifest His goodness through the amazing happenings in our lives.

Ephesians 2:6-7 says ” And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”
It is God’s plan to make us a showpiece to our world. It is His will to take us to the topmost top in life. God has plans to put you in positions you didn’t earn, nor qualified for. God’s favor causes you to reap where you haven’t sown. His grace takes you to where you could never have gotten to on your own.

Deutronomy 6;10-11 says that God will give us great and goodly cities, which we did not build, and houses full of all good things, which we did not furnish, and wells digged, which we didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees, which we didn’t plant..’

. There are some blessings you may not qualify for today, but  God is going to do a quick work and suddenly you will be divinely accelerated forward. Whatever level you are at now, God is about to give you what you weren’t in line to receive. You may not know the right people or have the money or have the right certificates. But God has shifts in your life, that is exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond your expectations. If you will stay faithful and just keep honoring God, the lines will suddenly fall for you into pleasant places.

You may have struggled in the area of your health, your finances, or your relationships,  but you need to get ready for the surpassing goodness of God. He is about to do an inexplicable miracle that will turn things around for you. You will not be able to fathom or comprehend how it happened, but He will do it for you because He is your God. And surely they that trust in Him shall never be put to shame.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the quick work You are doing in my life, Thank You for doing for me what I could never have been able to do for myself. Thank You for the exceeding great manifestation of Your goodness all around me in Jesus Name. ..

June 17 : YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

Gal. 6:7-8

Do not be deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
DAILY READING      Revelation 21-22; Isaiah 9-10; Psalm 111

An eagle’s strength to soar, is as a result of his diet. Eagles do not just eat anything. Eagles feed only on freshly killed prey, they do not feed on dead things. Also an eagle feeds well. It has such a voracious appetite that it can consume half a kilogram of fish in about four minutes.

In the same vein, in order for us to soar in life, our spirit must feed right and feed well. It takes a strong spirit for a man to rise in life. This is why we wait upon on The Lord, to feed on His Word, so that we can receive the needed strength to overcome oppositions and rise.

It takes strength to soar. To rise to a greater height you need power. An air plane uses a greater amount of fuel at its take off point.

When we wait upon The Lord, in The Word we receive strength to soar, and mount up like eagles. In order to fly, one must be strong. The Word of God contains the complete diet for the human spirit. When you feed on The Word, you will be strong and do exploits. If you eat healthful foods you’ll be healthy, but if you eat unhealthful foods you’ll be unhealthy. You will fly high or remain low, dependent on what you eat. To be a high flyer like the eagle we need to be choosy over the things that enter into our minds. The lion known as the strongest among beasts, also eats only fresh meat. Your spiritual feeding will affect your spiritual size and strength. What you feed on  will determine how your life turns out. Because the eagles feed on fresh meat, they are strong and fly high. Eating dead things can impair their ability of free flight, so they avoid it.

On the contrary, vultures feed on dead carcasses, they eat what others have left and tend to overeat. Due to this they get intoxicated, such that they can neither move nor fly and thus become prey to wild animals. Because vultures  feed on dead things they are slow, fly low and have their vision impaired often  becoming prey to their enemies.

Eating dead things can dull a man’s spiritual sensitivity. These weighs a man down, and keeps him on the floor, unable to soar until inevitably he becomes an easy prey to the enemy. Sin is a sinker, but righteousness exalts. We must check what goes into our minds. You are what you eat and you are also what you think. Decide today to feed on the strong fresh meat of the Word, and your senses shall be exercised to discern between good and evil. Through feeding on The Word and getting to know God more, you will be strong and do exploits.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to feed constantly on Your Word, so that my heart can be strengthened to do exploits. By Your grace I will continue to stand strong despite temptations and never fall, in Jesus Name

June 16 : IF YOU DON’T QUIT, YOU WIN!

Psalm 34:1 KJV

I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
DAILY READING          Revelation 20; Isaiah 7-8; Psalm 110

The California Gold Rush began in 1848. A carpenter was overseeing the construction of a water-powered sawmill when he spotted “something shining in the ditch.” After some crude tests, he became convinced that what he held was real gold. He found more. In fact every time he looked around he found more.

After four days, he took the evidence to the mill’s owner. Though the owner told the carpenter to keep it quiet, other laborers had seen what was going on and began picking up pieces of gold, too. Soon they threw down their shovels to pan for gold. Soon the word spread about gold being found in the town. And in a short span of time, California would grow from 400 settlers to 90,000 gold seekers besieging the town.

During this gold rush, two brothers sold all they had and headed to California to prospect for gold. They discovered a vein of the shining ore, staked a claim, and proceeded to get down to the serious business of getting the gold ore of the mine. All went well at first, but then a strange thing happened. The vein of gold suddenly disappeared!  It seemed they had come to the end of the rainbow, and the pot of gold was no longer there. The brothers continued to dig further, but couldn’t seem to trace the vein of gold anymore. They were thoroughly disappointed, their hope of becoming overnight millionaires was dashed. Disgusted, they gave up digging and planned to return back home. Someone else bought their equipment and claim rights for a few hundred dollars. As the brother took the train back home, the new person picked up digging from where the brothers left off. And just three feet deeper, the new owner struck gold!

A little more persistence and the two brothers would have been millionaires themselves. But they gave up too soon.

Galatians 6:9 says ‘And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.’

There is a reaping for us when we faint not. It doesn’t matter how long you may have toiled in the past, when it’s your due season, things suddenly will fall into place. When your clouds are full you will experience a downpour of blessings. Keep believing, keep expecting, keep honoring God and your cup will run over.

Don’t give up too soon, keep pressing forward for your miracle. Faithful is He that called you, who will also do it. When we live with expectancy it gets God’s attention. Maybe you’re facing a situation you’ve been praying about for a long time. Get ready, weeping may have endured for a night but now joy is coming with the morning.

God is going to surprise you. You may have been digging for long, but suddenly, out of the ordinary, God will cause you to strike gold. He will exceed your expectations. God will amaze you with His goodness. You’ll see favor, health, increase, God will cause blessings to flow towards. But the secret is never to give up. Keep trusting God in al situations and if you don’t quit, you will surely win.

PRAYER Lord I thank You for granting me the grace to keep pressing forward. By Your grace I will not be discouraged nor give up. And as I keep praising You, I know indeed my miracle is on the way in Jesus Name. .

JUNE 15 : UNEXPECTED BLESSINGS!

Psalm 67:5-6  ‘Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. ‘–

DAILY READING           Revelation 19; Isaiah 5-6; Psalm 109:20-31

Recently the news media was agog with the story of an illegal Malian immigrant in France, who helped to rescue a young child.

According to the story, the little boy’s father had left him alone in their apartment and gone shopping. The four-year-old had strayed to the balcony, where he was on the verge of falling to his death from the fourth floor, but managed to cling to a railing. While horrified onlookers watched the boy about to fall, a  Malian immigrant had rushed to the rescue. This young man who had been hiding from the authorities in France, risked his life to scale the facade of the Paris apartment block to rescue the child.

A camera had captured what happened and as the video went viral, the Malian was swiftly granted a meeting at the Elysee Palace with the French President. He was congratulated for what he had done and as a result granted a French citizenship. Immediately all his papers were put straight and the process of naturalization started, while an immediate job was given him to work in the emergency services.

Normally, it would have taken him years to achieve all of these, but suddenly, overnight, from being a fugitive, he became an honored citizen of France.

Indeed a sudden change of story is possible in a man’s life.

Joseph was a prisoner in Egypt, but when he interpreted Pharoah’s dream, his story suddenly changed.  And from a prisoner he became a prince of Egypt.

David was a shepherd boy, but  when he killed goliath he experienced a sudden turnaround. God can set you up for a sudden change of story. One touch of His favor can put you many years ahead of where you ought to be. When you honor God, He will put you in a position you never could have attained by yourself. God can cause opportunity to find you. He has unexpected blessings where you suddenly get breakthroughs, get promoted, meet the right people or your health improves.

It doesn’t take time, it takes God.

When God shifts things in your favor, problems that have lingered for years will suddenly turn around. You can be at a lower position, but suddenly things change and you look up to find yourself in a top position. The hand of God can suddenly shift you to a new level of your destiny.

And one of the key factors for a sudden  change of story is praise. You may feel like you’re stuck right now, but as you begin to praise God, things are about to turn around for you. In silence prisons remain closed, but in the midst of shouts of praise, prison doors open up. As Paul and Silas praised God, suddenly the prison doors were flung open. It doesn’t matter where you may have been locked up, today, through praise, you will experience a turnaround in your health, in your finances, in your career, in your family and all around you. God’s favor will propel you forward to unprecedented heights and you will experience sudden increase.

Psalm 67:5-6 ‘Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.’

As we praise God, we create the atmosphere for unexpected blessings. It doesn’t matter what things may look like in the natural, we serve a supernatural God. And as you praise Him today, He will suddenly turn your mourning into dancing and give you beauty for ashes.
PRAYER: Lord, I Thank You for the sudden change of story You are bringing about in my life. I thank You Lord, for doing exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all I could ever ask or imagine in Jesus Name. .

JUNE 14 :JOY, THE TRIGGER FOR HARVEST!

Proverbs 17:22
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

DAILY READING            Revelation 18; Isaiah 3-4; Psalm 109:1-19
Kathryn Kuhlman was one of the greatest ministers of the Gospel, used mightily by God in the last century. In 1923, when she was sixteen years, Kathryn Kuhlman joined her sister and her husband to travel on their evangelistic tour. Kathryn Spent five years with them before she eventually began her own ministry. Though she had no money or ministry support she remained excited and full of joy. She had strong faith in God’s mission for her life. Even as a teenager, she determined not to wallow in self-pity but rather to always remain joyful, regardless of her circumstances. A few weeks into her new ministry, she slipped on the ice and broke her leg. Though doctors told her to stay off her foot for two weeks, Kathryn Kuhlman continued to preach with her leg in a cast. Being very young and a female, many felt she was not qualified to preach, but despite these criticisms, Kathryn pressed on. Life was not easy. On one occasion, the family with whom she was scheduled to stay didn’t have a place for her, and she had to sleep in the turkey house. But Kathryn often said she would have gladly slept on a straw stack, just to continue preaching the Gospel.

Her heart was “sold out” to the Lord. That was the secret of her ministry. And because she knew the secret of joy, she maintained God’s Presence around her. As a result many miracles, signs and wonders trailed her ministry, which eventually became known worldwide.

Jesus accomplished His mission because He remained joyful. Speaking about Jesus, Hebrews 12:2 says ‘who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.’

Just like Jesus did, we need to despise any challenge and remain joyful. Indeed maintaining an attitude of Joy is important if we are to fulfill our destiny. Success is determined not so much by what life brings to us as by the attitude we bring to life.

God has reserved the top of the success ladder for you; but Joy is God’s mystery for taking you there. We need to remain joyful even in the face of challenges, because oftentimes turbulence is a sign you are rising higher. The airplane takes off against the wind, not with it. Being joyful causes you to ride upon your high places.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 says ‘Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.’

Your high places in life are inaccessible without joy. Be a carrier of joy. Joy is contagious but don’t wait to catch it from others. Like David, in tough situations, learn to encourage yourself in The Lord. Until you are excited, you don’t excel.

Joy is the trigger for harvest.

The flow of joy enables you to carry God’s presence. And God’s Presence is what makes you unbeatable in the battles of life.

Determine today to never allow anything tamper with your joy.

Proverbs 17:22 says “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Depression is a satanic trap, because the enemy cannot oppress you until he has first depressed you.

Therefore, no matter what comes your way, maintain your joy. God is in control. Your life and times are in His hands. Your health, your finances, your relationships and every likely cause of concern are in His hands. And He will surely see you through. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” [Deutronomy 36:8]

Therefore remain excited, pursue your vision with joy, do not give up, do not give in and God will surely cause you to ride upon your high places.

PRAYER: Lord, please help to remain joyful in every situation, I trust you are in control of my life, and I know that even right now you are working out everything for my good in Jesus Name. .

June 13 :  THE GRACE TO GIVE

Genesis 8:22

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”

David Greene, with an estimated net worth of $4.5 billion, is one of the richest Christians in America, however he grew up in poverty in rural Oklahoma, where he was raised by  devoted Christian parents.

His father was a pastor and the message prominently displayed in his childhood home was, “Only one life; it will soon be past.  Only what’s done for Christ will last.”

Though his parents were poor, yet they were givers. Despite their poverty, Green’s parents  stepped out in faith and regularly gave to the church.  Green recalls the memory of one time his parents put their last dime on the collection plate. Today, he attributes his blessing to his parent’s giving.

As David progressed as an adult, his mother would continually ask him, “Dave, what are you doing for the Lord?”  His two brothers followed in the footsteps of their father, becoming pastors, while two of his sisters married pastors and the third became an evangelist. On his own part, David recognized that God purposed him to be a merchant.  He therefore decided to serve God as a businessman.

And from a small art and craft shop that started in his home, his company hobby lobby, has  become a global business chain with 520 superstores grossing  billions of dollars annually. David believes that the success of his business is not his doing, but rather God has blessed him because of his giving to the spread of the Gospel. Though Green keeps the total amount of his giving private, Forbes magazine has estimated his total lifetime giving at above $500million, making him the largest individual financier of evangelical causes in America.

Indeed the tearful seeds that David’s parents sowed has today produced a fearful harvest in the life of their son. And David Greene continues to apply the same secret of seed sowing today, which is reaping for him a bountiful harvest.

Genesis 8:22  says “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”

It is true, sacrificial giving provides the gateway to financial dominion, however it takes grace to be able to give sacrificially. Concerning the Macedonian Church, in 2 Corinthians 8, the Bible says: “How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;’

So the giving of the Macedonian Church was beyond their power, it was the supernatural grace of God that enabled them to give despite their deep poverty and great trial of affliction. Oftentimes, it seems as if there are so many needs around us that we can’t afford to give sacrificially. But if we continue to observe the clouds we may never sow, and if never sow then we will never reap. Also he that sows sparingly will reap sparingly and he that sows bountifully will reap bountifully.

Since seedtime and harvest is an unbreakable covenant, one way the enemy keeps people in poverty is by stopping them from sowing seeds.

It is God’s will that we prosper and be in health. Therefore anything trying to keep us in poverty is anti-covenant. That is why today we must ask God for the giving grace and at the same time  engage the blood of Jesus, against any force that tries to keep us in poverty.

Financial dominion is our heritage in Christ. And every child of God is a candidate for wealth. By redemption, we have an inheritance of financial fortune in Christ. As 2 Corinthians 8:9 says though Jesus Christ was rich, yet for our sakes he became poor, that we through his poverty might be rich. Therefore by covenant, prosperity is our portion and by the blood of Jesus anything that tries to stop us from accessing our inheritance is destroyed. Today, we receive the supernatural grace to always sow bountifully so as to reap a rich harvest in Jesus Name. .

PRAYER: Lord, I know that it is Your will for me to prosper, I therefore thank You for the supernatural grace to continually  sow seeds that will produce rich harvests in my life in Jesus Name ..

Wladyslaw Szpilman, was a talented Polish pianist on whom the movie ‘The Pianist’ was based. In August 1942, during world war 2, Szpilman and his family were lined up for transportation to Treblinka – one of the worst extermination camps the Nazi had built. But through divine intervention he escaped. As the war intensified many of his friends and families were killed. At one point, the Nazis drove out the entire population out of Warsaw and took over the city. But Władysław remained hidden in an empty building, where he struggled to survive by rummaging for food in the ruins.  However, one day a German officer discovered him. Though the officer should have exposed him to be arrested, and possibly killed, rather he let him hide in the house attic. He brought him food and gave him his coat to keep him warm. With the help of the German officer, Władysław survived the war and was eventually freed. At the end of war, he picked up his career as a famous pianist and continued to play in concerts around the world.

Question however is: why would a highly placed German officer decide to provide protection, food and shelter to someone considered to be an enemy?  The answer could only be God’s mercy. Indeed when a man’s ways pleases The Lord He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.  Sometimes we may worry about how we are going to survive, or how we are going to get through certain situations, but we have to learn to trust in God’s divine provision. God is not limited in how He will save us, He can save by few or many. He can raise help for you from strange quarters. He can use the unexpected, the unimagined. God can use even your enemies to favor you.

You see, God is a father; who truly loves us  and cares for us more than we can ever care for ourselves. This is why Peter said ‘Cast all your anxiety upon Him for He cares for you.’ No matter how tough situations may look, trust that God is moving supernaturally in your favour and your expectation shall not be cut short. Just as the ravens fed prophet Elijah, God can use unconventional ways and least expected people to meet your needs. The ravens did not come by chance, God commanded them to come to the prophet’s aid.

In the same way you don’t have to worry about how your provisions will come. God can command blessings for you from unexpected sources, people you don’t even know will be used to bless you.

God’s plans for you are not haphazard, neither are they contingency plans drawn up at a critical moment.

Isaiah 49:15-16 says ‘Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;’

God has your life well ordered in His hands. Therefore trust that in this season of harvest, whatever is due you shall not be denied you. And though you went through fire and through water, God is about to bring you into a wealthy place. There is a shift taking place in your circumstances. Everything that has been a set-back and a hindrance is about to turn around for your good. Help will arise for you from the least expected quarters. In the place of frustration God is bringing forth joy and laughter. The LORD shall increase you more and more. God will appoint for you midwives to help you birth your dream. He will cause doors of breakthrough to open up to you, crooked places shall be made straight and the hidden riches of secret places shall be given to you in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the good plans You have for my life. Indeed I know that even right now You are at work to perfect all that concerns me in Jesus Name. .  QUOTE

When God places His hand upon a man in life nothing can come against him, this is because the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Job 36:11

‘If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.’

Strive Masiyiwa is considered one of Africa’s most successful entrepreneurs. Though he had been a business man for some years, yet life was a pile of frustrations for Masiyiwa until he encountered God.

In the mid-1990s, few would have guessed that cell phones would become a major growth sector in African countries. But Masiyiwa did. He offered to develop a cell phone network in tandem with the Zimbabwean state telecom company, but the Mugabe-controlled government rejected his offer. The state telecom refused to grant Masiyiwa a license to cell frequencies, claiming it had the  monopoly. That was when Masiyiwa sued, in 1994. The case went on for five years, and at one point, Zimbabwe’s Supreme Court ruled against Masiyiwa’s company, Econet, leaving, apparently, no chance to appeal. For Masiyiwa it was a dark period of tribulations, he felt he had come to the end of the road. His wife had been urging him to come to church for years, but he had resisted. After the Supreme Court defeat, he dropped her off one Sunday at Church and drove around aimlessly, then he decided to return and sat at the back of the church. As he listened to the preacher, he became convicted and surrendered his life to Christ. He was so hungry for God that he read the entire Bible in 3 weeks.

And soon after his encounter with God, the court case was miraculously revisited and judgment was ruled in his favour. As his heart continued to pant after God he began to have a series of dreams from God that eventually led him to greater innovations in his business. Today, he has built a fortune simply by obeying divine instructions and following Biblical principles. And one of the biblical principles he strongly follows is in the area of giving. He tithes 10% of his annual income to his church.  Together with his wife, he personally pays the school fees of over 30,000 Zimbabwean orphans. He is also involved in numerous philanthropies. He finds that as he sows into God’s kingdom and helps the needy, he is rewarded with increase.

Today he has become the richest man in Zimbabwe and one of the richest men in the world. His South African based Econet Wireless is now a global telecommunications group with operations, investments and offices in more than 15 countries.

In 2011 a CNN interviewer asked him. ‘I’ve read that you read the Bible for an hour every day, is that correct?’

”Oooh!” said Masiyiwa. “That’s when I’m busy. I can read it for four or five hours on the weekend.”

Indeed as Masiyiwa seeks first God’s kingdom other things are being added to him. He credits his success solely to God.

3 John 2  says ‘Beloved, I wish above all things that  thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.’

Truly when our soul prospers, inevitably financial prosperity follows. When we truly serve God and follow biblical principles, we will end up above  and never beneath.

When we truly commit to serving God and serving the interests of the Kingdom, then God commits Himself to blessing us. Therefore, instead of seeking first our own interests, let us seek first the promotion of God’s kingdom.

In Haggai 1:4 God questions “Is it the right time for all of you to live in your own paneled houses while this house remains in ruins?”

Our priority must be the advancement of God’s house. Kingdom service is a covenant with God, And God empowers us for wealth through the revelation and application of this covenant. When we decide to make God and His kingdom our priority, then God makes us His priority, and takes care of us.

Exodus 23:25 – 26 says ‘And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.’

Indeed when we do what God commands, we provoke His blessings, and when God blesses, it cannot be reversed.

Job 36:11 says ‘If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.’

We serve a covenant-keeping God, who says in Psalm 89:34, ‘My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips’

When we keep our part of the covenant by serving God, He keeps His part by prospering us.

PRAYER: Father please help me to make You priority in all that I do. Grant me the grace to always seek first Your kingdom so that every other thing can be added unto me in Jesus Name. .
