OCTOBER 7; THE FAITH THAT OVERCOMES…

Job 14:7-9 ‘For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant’.
DAILY READING Luke 19:1-27; Genesis 32-33; Psalm 25

By 2012, a tree aptly named Methuselah was considered the oldest known tree in the world and its age then was estimated to be about 4,789 years. It was discovered in 1957 and named after the oldest Biblical figure, Methuselah, who lived to be 969 years old.
This ancient tree grows in Methuselah Grove in the White Mountains of Inyo County, California, where it is surrounded by other ancient trees. The Methuselah tree is so well protected as the oldest tree in the world that its location has remained unknown to the public since its discovery in 1957. Its exact location remains unknown to keep the tree safe from vandalism. No one has even been permitted to take a picture of it. However in 2003, a tree farmer named Jared Milarch received permission to take cuttings from Methuselah and was successful in cloning the old tree. Based on the tree’s age, it is estimated that Methuselah germinated around 2832 BCE, making it even older than the famous Egyptian pyramids.  It is indeed amazing how this tree has survived for these thousands of years. And apart from the Methuselah, there are also other ancient trees in the world that have existed for many centuries. Though their trunks may die off, but because the root remains connected to water, after a number of years the root will sprout a new trunk. This new trunk then again grow branches and leaves. Through this process, known as vegetable cloning, these trees survive for thousands of years.
Job 14:7 says ‘though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant’
The important thing for a tree’s continual survival, is for the root to remain connected to water. The same thing happens when as a believer you are connected to The Word. No matter where you fail or get cut down, God says you can sprout again, you can live again and rise again, because of your connection to His Word. It doesn’t matter what may come against you, through God’s Word, you can always have the victory at last.
It doesn’t matter how long a problem may have lingered, God can turn it all around to your good. The important thing is to remain connected to The Word of God, because it is The Word that imparts faith into the heart and faith is the victory that overcomes the world..Indeed with God nothing shall be impossible. Whatever promise God has made to you, know that it will surely come to pass. Keep speaking words of faith into that situation. Keep praising God for its manifestation. Never forget that God alone has the final say in every situation we may face.  When we keep our faith ignited there is nothing impossible for God to do in our lives.

As long as you are still joined to the living there will always be hope for you. You can still have your miracle. It doesnt matter what the past may have looked like in that situation, as Apostle Paul says, learn to forget those things that are behind you and press forward. The past is a place of reference not a place of residence. Your car has a big windshield and a small rear mirror, because you are supposed to keep your eyes on where you are going, and less than where you have been. The Bible says everything works together for good, for those that love God. Do you love Him? Then, God is working out everything for your good. God is for you, not against you. His resources are endless, and His power and love know no boundaries. God is on your side. Do not let the enemy,, your own thoughts, or anyone else tell you anything different. Keep hope alive and never ever stop believing! Refuse to be wearied for in due season you shall surely reap. As long as you stay connected to the water of God’s Word, it is only a matter of time before you win. Therefore in every situation, hold on to The Word, there is delverance power in the Word, there is miracle power in the Word. And as you diligently study the Word, and stay connected to the water of life, the faith that overcomes the world will be imparted into your heart to give you the victory at last.

PRAYER: Lord, by the power from Your Word let every dead situation in my life be revisited and revived, let every good seed You have planted within me come alive for speedy manifestation in this season in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 6; DOMINION OF LIGHT

DAILY READING  Luke 18:18-43; Genesis 31; Psalm 24

Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” .

DURING the Persian gulf war, in 1991, America’s night vision capability became one of its greatest advantage in the war.  Television viewers around the world witnessed the new effectiveness of night military operations. Although some of the combats took place in the dead of night, people watched the footage as if it were noonday. This was because the coalition forces and television crews covering the war were equipped with an assortment of devices for seeing in the dark.

America’s high-tech military had a host of night-vision tools at its disposal. Foot soldiers wore helmet-mounted goggles as they stalked in jungles, while snipers used rifle scopes that lit up their targets. Drivers raised periscopes to guide their jeeps and tanks, while pilots  flew  fly at tree-top level using helmet-mounted binoculars, and tracked and illuminated targets on CRT screens. The military as well as civilian photographers attached devices to their camera lenses that turned night to day

Though the Germans experimented with the use of night vision devices during the Second World War, the equipment required was so large and bulky that it proved impractical for most uses on the battlefield. But over the ensuing years, technological advances made it possible to outfit individual soldiers with the ability to “see” in the dark. And during the First Gulf War, American troops used night vision hugely to their advantage. While the Iraqis were hindered in the dark, the Americans were able to continue to operate with nearly complete mobility even in utter darkness.

Indeed light gives advantage in warfare. At night, while the Iraqis were hindered by the darkness, the Americans through the advantage of night vision devices, continued to make progress.

Isaiah 60 says that darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people, but The Lord shall arise upon thee and His glory shall be seen upon thee.

The light of God shinning upon us will distinguish us in this end-time. Despite the darkness that covers the earth, we shall arise and shine because our light has come. While people in the world are hindered by darkness, and cannot see their way forward, through the light and guidance of The Spirit we shall continue to move forward and go from glory to glory. Our path like a shining light, will shine more and more unto the perfect day. And in spiritual warfare especially, we shall gain advantage over the enemy by operating by the light of God’s Word. While the whole world lies in darkness, as children of God, the  light of God’s Word  will be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path to guide us into greatness. .

However to enjoy the dominion of light, we realize that it is the entrance of God’s Word that gives light. Psalm 119:130 says “The entrance of Thy Words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple’.  Jesus is the light of the world and His Word is our source of divine light. When we are full of God’s Word, our light shines in  the darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend it. In other words, the forces of darkness can never overcome us.  We become an impossible case, that they cannot handle.

Are you oppressed in any area of your life today? Then seek the light of God’s Word.  The psalmist says that the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. It is in the dark regions that men suffer oppression, but when light comes, every darkness disappears. It doesn’t matter the trial or challenge facing you, the Bible declares, “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. [John 1:5.] Let us therefore seek the entrance of God’s Word into our hearts and minds. As we commit to the constant study of God’s Word our lives will indeed be flooded with His divine light.

PRAYER:  Lord, help me to keep my life covered by your light so that there will be no hiding place for darkness. As I study Your Word please grant me the revelations I need to overcome every challenge that comes my way in Jesus name.

OCTOBER 5; PRESERVED BY GOD’S MERCY

lamentations 3:22 ‘It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness’

DAILY READING –  Luke 18:1-17; Genesis 29:31-30:43; Psalm 23

Daniel 5:21 says, The Most High God rules in the kingdom of men.  Flipping through the pages of history, we find this indeed so. God rules in the affairs of men. There are defining moments, life changing points, where without doubt you know God reached down to intervene in the affairs of men. 1928 would be one of such times. At that period, with no knowledge of antibiotics, infectious diseases had been ravaging mankind. Can you imagine a small cut on the finger, becoming so infected with bacteria that it could lead to death. This was the state of the world then, and there were no drugs that could kill infections. Streptococcus pyogenes caused half of all post-birth deaths and was a major cause of death from burns. Staphylococcus aureus was fatal in 80 percent of infected wounds and the tuberculosis and pneumonia bacteria were famous killers. Doctors were trying their best but they lacked the adequate drugs. In wars more soldiers died from infections than from actual wounds. Many a mother had wept helplessly as the cold hands of death snatched away their children , it was almost reminiscent of the children of Israel crying  under the oppression of pharaoh, but this Pharaoh was killer infections. God heard the cries of men, and sent help.

September 28 is a special day in history. It is a day, 90 years ago, that God especially intervened in human affairs. On this day in 1928, something amazing happened that changed the course of the human story.  Indeed it is of The Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, His compassion fail not.[lamentations 3:22].

Today some will call it an accidental discovery, or mere coincidence, but indeed it was a divine arrangement that led Dr. Flemming, a Christian doctor, to discover penicillin. He was working on some mould of staphylococci, [a source of serious and often deadly human infection] before going on a vacation. When he returned to his lab, he found that on the culture dish where he was growing the mould of staphylococci,  another mould had appeared  on the plate from nowhere which was now killing and hindering the Staphylococci.  Further experiments  led to the production of penicillin drug,  which became a wonder drug that cured infections.  Indeed it became a life changing moment in human history. During ww1 18% of soldiers died from infected wounds, but by ww2 when the drug was given to soldiers, the death rate from infections was less than 1 %.

It is unimaginable what life would have been like without the discovery of antibiotics. Today the infections that killed people in the past are stopped by a simple dose of antibiotics. Indeed God rules in the affairs of men. And it is of His mercies that we are not consumed, and if God can have mercy on the world to send help, how much more those of us who belong to His kingdom. God’s deliverance is always available to  His children. There may be times in our lives when certain problems may look like they have no solutions. but it is never over until God says so. The God who rules in the affairs of men knows how to intervene and bring about our deliverance. He can do for us exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ever think or imagine.  And today He will arise for you, He will do something  so amazing and life changing  that men will know that indeed this can only be the finger of God.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always know you rule in my affairs. Even now I know You are at work to exceed my expectations, I thank You for your goodness in my life. Indeed with You nothing shall be impossible.

OCTOBER 4; BUILDING ACCORDING TO PATTERN..

Psalms 90:13 ‘So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.’

DAILY READING ; Luke 17; Genesis 29:1-30; Psalm 22

In 1879, British archaeologists digging in Iran discovered a barrel-shaped cylinder made out of clay. Inscribed on the cylinder in ancient cuneiform was a decree by King Cyrus of Persia. In the 40-line decree, the king recalled his defeat of Babylon and clearly outlined a number of policies designed to defend the rights of the conquered. This incredible artifact, called the Cyrus Cylinder, can be found in the British Museum. The United Nations says the Cyrus Cylinder is the “world’s first charter of human rights” and is proof that King Cyrus was one of mankind’s first great humanitarians.

More than 2,500 years after his death, Cyrus the Great of ancient Persia remains one of humanity’s most brilliant and outstanding monarchs. The history of his life and accomplishments is well documented by Greek and Roman historians and by archaeological evidence. His greatest and most famous humanitarian act was releasing the captive Jews in Babylon and allowing them to return to Judea to rebuild the temple and the city of Jerusalem. King Cyrus issued his decree releasing the Jews in 538 b.c., about a year after he conquered Babylon. In fact, he actually financed the Jews’ return to their homeland, their reconstruction of the temple, and their reconstruction of Jerusalem!

While all of this history is well documented by secular historians and archaeological evidence, the Bible also has specific records about King Cyrus. Among the other records from the books of Ezra , Jeremiah and Chronicles, perhaps the most amazing is the prophesy by prophet Isaiah. The critical factor about Isaiah’s account is that it was written about 150 years before King Cyrus was even born!  Even his name was mentioned! And this is where the history gets exciting. King Cyrus’ rise to power, his defeat of Babylon, his humanitarian legacy, his name—even Babylon’s gates of iron and brass—were all prophesied by God about one and a half centuries before Cyrus’s birth! This is indeed an awesome proof of God’s existence and the veracity of the Holy Bible.

Josephus, a foremost Jewish historian recorded that King Cyrus actually read this prophecy about himself in the book of Isaiah! After reading Isaiah’s prophecy, he realized that he was predestined to make this wondrous decision! Perhaps this explains why Cyrus was so benevolent and so enthusiastic about releasing the Jews. He knew he was fulfilling divine purpose.

1 Chronicles 12:32 says ‘And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment’.

We need an understanding of our times and season, in order to know what to do per time.  God has a definite plan and purpose for each of our individual lives. And the purpose of our lives is far greater than our own personal goals. It’s far greater than our career, dreams and ambitions. Our purpose is tied to God’s plan and design. We are born by His purpose and for His purpose.  There is a plan and a blue print we are born to follow. There is a script to our life’s drama. And True success is following what has been written about us and fulfilling our divine purpose on earth. A man can be highly successful by the world’s standard, and still miss the purpose for which God created him.

The question is; are we running the race set before us?’

Today the average life span is 25,550 days, which is 70 years. If you live to be over a hundred years, you would clock about 40,000 days. The question is what are we doing with each of those days? Every day we sleep and wake up, a subtraction has been made to the sum.

Psalms 90:13 says: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

We need wisdom to maximize our days on earth. And wisdom is following God’s divine will for our lives.

Ephesians 5: 15-17 says  ‘See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. ‘

We need an understanding of The Lord’s will to fulfill what we are called to do on earth. We must remember  that one day we will be called upon to give an account of our lives, therefore we can’t afford to keep living life anyhow. We need to come to The Lord and find out what His will and desire is for us in each season. His will is all that matters. And like Moses, we must see to it that we build according to God’s pattern. But to receive that pattern, we must pay the price of constant fellowship with The Spirit.  It is in the place of prayer, intimate praise and worship that The Spirit of God reveals His plan to us.

As this year fast runs out, we must commit ourselves more to what matters to the fulfillment of our destiny. The earlier we  follow God’s plan and abide in it, the sooner we will begin to see His glory unveiled. We are in a season of divine realignments, and every believer needs an understanding of divine purpose in order not to miss out on what God is doing. Enough of running after mundane things. It is time to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and as we do, then every other thing shall be added unto us.

PRAYER: Father please help me to pay the required price of spiritual responsibility, in order to receive specific instructions  concerning Your will for me in each season of my life. I receive grace for obedience to Your divine purpose in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 3; PROFITING THROUGH GUIDANCE…

Isaiah 48:17 ‘Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go.’

DAILY READING –   Luke 16; Genesis 27:46-28:22; Psalm 21

The great healing evangelist Dr. John G. Lake, was a man of vision, and strength, whose  ministry led to the medically confirmed healing of more than 100,000 people. However, he not only succeeded as a minister of the Gospel, he was also already a very successful businessman, before going into full time ministry.

As a young man he had become an industrious businessman and started two newspapers, the Harvey Citizen in Harvey, Illinois and the Soo Times in Michigan. After that he began a successful career in real estate, and later, become a millionaire in life insurance dealings.

Certain business executives, recognizing his gifts, had asked Dr. Lake to form a trust of the nation’s three largest insurance companies for a guaranteed salary of $50,000 a year. He accepted, and soon became business consultant to top business executives, and was making hundreds of dollars through commissions as well. Indeed by the standards of his time,  John G. Lake was making a fortune.  And all this happened because Lake had learned the secret of unbroken connection with The Spirit of God. Even while he worked on mundane things, he constantly prayed in the Holy Ghost. The result of this was that he became divinely guided in the business decisions he took.

And when the time finally came for him to fully answer the call of God, it became easy to do so. By 1907 Dr. John G. Lake  gave away all his wealth. In April 1907 he closed his office door for the last time and disposed of his bank account by giving to various religious and educational institutions. Dr. Lake then started out in independent evangelistic work without a single dollar, being absolutely dependent upon the Lord.

It is quite noteworthy how he could easily walk away from all the wealth he had spent years acquiring.  But this was a as a result of his strong connection with The Spirit of God. This same secret of unbroken fellowship with The Spirit, made him to become one of the greatest preachers  the world had ever seen.

Isaiah 48:17 says ‘Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go.’

It is God that teaches us to excel and profit in our endeavors. As God’s children wherever we go we are meant to  be the head and to take the lead. We are for signs and wonders to our world.  However, it is impossible to separate signs from the operation of the Spirit of God. Signs and wonders are a result of the workings of the Holy Spirit. He is the producer of miracles on the earth. Our  identity never becomes a reality until the Holy Ghost comes upon us.

In Acts 2, The Apostles could only break forth into the realm of miraculous manifestation when The Holy Spirit came upon them on the day of Pentecost. In the same way, as a Christian, you can remain in hiding in the “upperrooms” of business, ministry, career, etc, never experiencing distinction until the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

1 Corinthians 12:7 says  ‘But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.’

The Spirit connection, is the beginning of our manifestation. Whatever our line of calling, we can remain constantly connected to The Spirit of God. While our hands are working , our spirit can remain in sweet communion with God, through ceaseless flow of prayer. Just like you would plug your phone into electricity, we need to plug our spiritual life into God. When we maintain such unbroken connection with The Spirit, we can be sure of success as He daily guides us into the perfect will and plan of God for our lives.

PRAYER: Father please help me to maintain an unbroken connection to Your Spirit, wherever I go. Grant me the grace for a continual flow of prayer, praise and hearing of Your Word, so that I can be divinely guided by Your Spirit daily in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 2; AFFLICTION SHALL NOT ARISE…

Isaiah 53:4-5 ‘Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed’

DAILY READING    Luke 15; Genesis 27:1-45; Psalm 20

Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. By the early 5th century, Christianity spread through the works of early missionaries such as Palladius, and Saint Patrick. Known as the “Apostle of Ireland”, St. Patrick is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland.  According to one of the stories told about the life of St. Patrick during his minstry, he had led King Aengus of Ireland to the Lord. The king wanted to be baptized as a symbol of his new faith. He was baptized a Christian in the royal seat of Cashel by Saint Patrick himself. During the preparation for baptism, in the middle of his prayers, while his eyes were closed, Saint Patrick lifted his pointed staff and brought it down, hard, sending the spike through the center of King Aengus’s foot. The king stifled a cry of pain and kept silent. Patrick, unaware that he had accidentally stabbed the king’s foot with the sharp pointed end of his staff, continued praying. Finally he finished his prayer, and stepped out of the water. It was only then he noticed the king’s wound. As Patrick saw the blood flowing in the water, he realized what had happened. When he apologized and asked the king why he hadn’t said anything, Aengus replied, “I thought it was part of the ceremony!”

Formerly as a pagan, the king was used to the demands of personal sacrifice of blood. However in Christianity the only blood required for sacrifice and atonement is the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 9;12 says ‘Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us’

With His own Blood Christ has paid the eternal price for salvation. Our blood doesn’t have to be shed in any form as part of the ‘ceremony’. Jesus took every pain for us. He died young that we might live long. Himself took our sickness and bare our infirmities and by His stripes we are healed. However it takes knowledge of the truth to walk in redemptive freedom. You need to know your covenant rights so that the enemy does not deceive you to suffer unnecessarily. Whosoever the son of God has set free is free indeed. You are born again not to suffer again.

Jesus suffered in our place, We have to walk in the consciousness of the victory He has won for us. Many people are silently accepting afflictions, thinking it is part of the ‘ceremony’. But because Jesus has paid the price in full, affliction  is not permitted to arise a second time. We are not meant to accept trials or challenges with docility, rather we are to arise and fight a good fight of faith against them, knowing that faith guarantees our victory. And the weapons of our warfare not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. One weapon that guarantees our victory is the weapon of the blood. This is the high standpoint of the Christian faith. Christ paid a high price at Calvary, to enable us walk free from every oppression.  Therefore do not accept anything outside of God’s will for you. Refuse and resist every plan of the enemy to put again upon you what Christ has aready suffered for and paid for at Calvary. In this new season it is time to arise by the help of The Spirit to take authority over every molestation in your life. Jesus by His Blood has given us the power ot tread upon serpents and scorpions. Therefore what you do not want, do not watch. Begin to invoke the blood against every affliction.

It doesn’t matter the pharaoh that may have been oppressing your life, once the blood is invoked every chain of oppression is broken.  In the blood is our victory. You don’t have to suffer the afflictions people in the world suffer. By the blood we are redeemed from every captivity. And always remember that the battle is not yours but the Lord’s. This is why you do not confront the devil with human wisdom, rather, you confront him with the mystery of the Blood of Jesus Christ.  Once the mark of the blood is upon our lives, every trouble, problems and evil harassment must bow before us. Indeed we are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me a deeper revelation of the power that is in The Blood of Jesus. And as I begin to invoke the power in The Blood against every oppression, I thank You Lord for granting me rest and victory in Jesus Name.

OCTOBER 1; BEAUTY FOR ASHES

Proverbs 23:18  ‘For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.’

Christian Broadcasting Network, [CBN] sometime ago featured the amazing miracle story of Ema McKinley . During Easter weekend in 1993, Ema was at work on a high storage loft when unexpectedly she lost her balance and fell from that height and passed out. Her foot was lodged between boxes and her body hung upside down until a coworker found her and called 911. She did not recover consciousness until the following day. As Ema healed from the wounds she received in the fall, she developed widespread reflex sympathetic dystrophy, known as RSD, a chronic and progressive nerve disorder that left her entire body in severe pain.  After she was discharged from the hospital Ema was bound to a wheelchair. She could not walk at all and was in her wheel chair all the time with the exception of toileting. And she would remain like that for the next 18 years. And over the years Ema’s left hand closed into a fist she was unable to open. Her neck and spine twisted to the left leaving her body in an awkward and painful position.  In her situation, Ema being a Christian cried out to God. Through the calamity she drew closer to God and continually believed Him for a miracle.

At a point blood clots formed in her legs, which posed life threatening issues. Doctors wanted to amputate both of  her legs, but Ema refused, never giving up hope for her healing. She kept praying and thanking God in faith, believing that someday Jesus was going to heal her.

And that ‘someday’ was the night before Christmas Eve 2011. That day, Ema fell out of her wheelchair and because there was no one around to assist her, for eight hours she lay on the floor in excruciating pain, crying out to Jesus for help. And then the unexpected happened! Ema received a divine visitation. As she saw a bright light and a vision of The Lord, she suddenly felt her twisted body returning back to its normal position. Jesus was straightening out her crooked foot, her neck and her spine. Her left hand that had been a clinched fist for over 18 years  began to open up. And for the first time in so many years she could flex her hand and her fingers. And then she felt God’s power lift her from her wheel chair where she had been for the past 18 years. And by faith she took a few steps and found herself suddenly able to walk.

Just a few hours later, Ema’s two sons and her grandchildren came over to celebrate Christmas Eve, unaware of her miracle. What a great shock when they saw her! It was unbelievable to see her walking and her body all straightened out. What an awesome celebration and thanksgiving the family had.  Everyone who knew her were in awe of God’s love and power. Her story has been told through  various media outlets and captured in a book.

Zechariah 9:11 says  ‘As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.’

Indeed there is no pit so deep that the Blood of Jesus cannot bring us up from. Jesus has paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Therefore No matter how hopeless the situation or how long it may have lingered by the Blood of Jesus you will eventually have the victory.

Proverbs 23:18 says “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”

The force of expectation is a very powerful force. It is a supernatural force that eventually draws to us whatever we are expecting. Indeed expectation is the mother of manifestation. Against all hope, Ema believed God would heal her, and  finally it happened.

God has promised to grant our expectations.  But the question is what are you really expecting from God? Every man sets the stage for his own miracle. What you expect is what you will receive. God is able to do what He said He will do in your life.  And no matter the situation, God is always faithful to His Word.

Maybe like Ema, you have been believing God for a miracle for so long, don’t give up hope yet. Your  expectation will not be cut off.  Dligently feed on God’s Word to build up your faith for great expectations.  See into the plans of God for your life, and be assured that the best is still ahead.  It is indeed your year to see glory unveiled. In this new month expect to scale new and unprecedented heights. Determine this year’s prophesy must have full expression in your life. Believe God for greater things. Delays are not denials. As you keep looking unto God, believing His Word, you will never be ashamed.

Psalm 34:5 says “They looked unto him and were lightened and their faces were not ashamed.”

As long as you put  your  trust in The Lord, you shall never be ashamed. It doesn’t matter what may be coming against you, abide secured in Christ’s blood.  Indeed it is your year to see God’s glory unveiled in your life in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the great and amazing things You are set to do in my in this new month. Indeed I know that my expectations  to see glory this year shall surely come to pass, in Jesus Name.

God’s promises in Christ in your life may appear delayed, but never forget that delays are not denials..

SEPTEMBER 30; RAISED THROUGH PRAISE..

Isaiah 48:10 ‘Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.’

DAILY READING – •           Luke 14:1-24; Genesis 25; Psalm 18

Researchers did an experiment with bumblebees. Astronauts took them up into outer space to study the effects of weightlessness on them.  And because of the lack of gravity, the bumblebees simply floated through the air without having to use their wings. It seemed such an easy, enjoyable and effortless life to these bumblebees. They were living with no struggle, adversity, or resistance. And for a few days, everything seemed to be going great as these bumblebees floated easily, not having to flap their wings. But on the fourth day, something happened. They all suddely died. The reason for this was that while they had loved floating without making efforts to fly, the problem was they weren’t created to live life without any resistance.

In the same way, we cannot live a victorious life on earth without having to overcome resistance. If everything was always easy, we wouldn’t be prepared for our destiny.  Just as muscles are developed through constant exercise,  strength is developed through facing adversities and overcoming by God’s Word. Every difficulty you pass through is growing you up.  There are some qualities that can only be developed in you through tough times.

And  sometimes the reason the fire is so hot is because God has something  great ahead of you. He is getting you prepared because every new level comes with new devils. When you are about to soar to the next level, God will always prepare you to handle that new height, And you must be trained beforehand, so that what was meant to be your throne does not become your tomb.  Every great and effectual door will be preceded by great adversaries.  And there will always be giants on the road to your Canaan.  If David had not been trained through killing lions in the bush, he may not have been able to kill Goliath. His older brothers who stayed at home while he was in the bush were part of the Israeli army that ran away when Goliath roared. But because God had taught David’s hand to war, he could run through a troop and leap over the wall. And though David was anointed king as a youth by Samuel, it took years of adversity before he could eventually mount the throne.  Life is a continuous succession of both small and large challenges. Yet, all these challenges come to make us stronger, to prepare us for the heights we are destined to attain. Adversity pushes us to accelerate the development of our greatest potential. Without adversity there will be no growth.

We have to trust God who has created and designed us for our purpose. God doesn’t make mistakes. He’s already designed your life, laid out the plan down to the smallest details. We must be willing to follow the paths of destiny He has mapped out for us, it may not make sense initially but then in the end we will see everything working out together for our good.  And never forget that the end of a matter is better than the beginnig thereof. Therefore see every challenge as an opportunity to draw closer to God. And rather than just ‘go’ through pains, ‘grow’ through it. But then we should also ensure we are not  the  ones bringing  pain on ourselves through poor choices, if that is the case we need to come to repentance and ask God to intervene by His mercy. But if we pass through difficulties while following God’s will then we ought to count it all joy, rejoice always and in everything give thanks, knowing that God is working it all out. God is too faithful to allow you to be tempted more than you are able to handle. See them as times to praise God, because He is about to raise you. And as you praise God, He will indeed cause you to soar to your next level.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for strenghtening me through Your Word to overcome any adversity that may come my way. By Your grace every trial is being turned to triumph and it will result in greater heights for me in Jesus’ Name.

SEPTEMBER 29; VICTORY BY THE WORD…

1 Peter 1:8 KJV  ‘Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary goes about as a roaring lion, seeking for whom to devour.’

DAILY READING – Luke 13:18-35; Genesis 24; Psalm 17

Israel lost 121 soldiers during the 2006 Second Lebanon War. A section of the border fence where the Hezbollah ambush occurred has 121 flowers painted on it: a flower for every soldier lost. The life of every soldier is very important to Israel, and every loss of a soldier is felt heavily, especially due to the small size of it’s military force. The Israel Defense Forces are widely respected as a cutting-edge military machine, yet the IDF’s main resource, however, is the high caliber of its soldiers.  These soldiers are trained to respond rapidly in repelling attacks. The Israeli Defense Force, founded in 1948,  ranks among the most battle-tested armed forces in the world, having had to defend Israel in six major wars. Though it has always been outnumbered by its enemies, the IDF maintains a qualitative advantage by deploying advanced weapons systems, many of which are developed and manufactured in Israel for its specific needs. The IDF is equipped with extremely lethal cyberwar capacity, eyes-on-the-world intel, star-wars level missile defense systems, a justly famous air force, and a small but superbly trained cadre of special forces troops. Due the high level of conflict it often experiences, the Israel military has learned to live in a constant state of alertness and readiness.

1 Peter 1: 8 admonishes us to be sober and vigilant, because the enemy is going about as a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour.

We have to always live battle ready, because there is an enemy on the prowl, looking for whom to devour. And Ephesians 6 lets us know that we are in a serious spiritual battle, not with flesh and blood but with principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. In this ongoing spiritual battle, you will survive based on the level of your spiritual readiness. Jesus severally admonished believers to watch and pray and to live ready.

As a result of this spiritual battle, there is need for us to store up spiritual strength in readiness. The Bible says in Proverbs 24:10 that if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. We are to live always prepared for war. We prepare by maintaining a fervent spiritual life, diligently studying the Bible and keeping the fire always burning on our prayer altars. The battles of life are represented by the challenges that often come our ways. The road of life is fraught with these challenges. What will determine our victory is how we react to them. Someone said life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react. We must be equipped through the Word to react in faith. Faith is the victory that will overcome the world. When challenged what you have put into your mind is essentially what flows out. This is why you must be committed in putting the Word of God into your mind daily, so that when squeezed only the Word of God will come out. And the Word is the answer to every challenge or problem of life. Therefore ensure today and always that your heart is constantly filled up with God’s Word. Anytime you are challenged open your mouth and begin to release God’s Word. It is like releasing bullets to spiritually destroy and demolish every opposition against you. Indeed when you are constantly filled with The Word, you will be ready to overcome any challenge that comes your way.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to constantly desire Your Word and store it up in my heart as my weapon of offence and defence against every attack of the enemy. Thank You Lord that through faith in You, my victory in every conflict is assured in Jesus Name

SEPTEMBER 28; FINDING YOUR LOST COIN..

Luke 15:8  ‘Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?’

DAILY READING –Luke 13:1-17; Genesis 23; Psalm 16

Sir Isaac Newton was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, theologian, and author who is widely recognised as one of the most influential scientists of all time, and a key figure in the scientific revolution. Isaac Newton is considered one of the most important scientists in history. Even Albert Einstein said that Isaac Newton was the smartest person that ever lived. During his lifetime Newton developed the theory of gravity, the laws of motion (which became the basis for physics), a new type of mathematics called calculus, and made breakthroughs in the area of optics such as the reflecting telescope.

Sir Isaac Newton, though a scientist, was also a devout Christian, who was used mightily by God to make astounding scientific discoveries.  Part of why he made such great  discoveries was due to his legendary dedication to his work. It was said at a party or social function, that he would sometimes be found under a table or in some corner scribbling in his notebook! This was the extent of Sir Isaac Newton’s fous on his work of scientific discoveries.

History has a record of many such men and women who through great dedication to their work made discoveries that marked a turn in human development. For many of them, the process of discovery took time but they kept at it: studying, researching, finding facts. When they eventually make that one discovery, they not only become celebrated, but also within them they experience a depth of satisfaction that becomes a justifiable reward for all the effort and arduous labor invested in their search.

It is the same when you devote yourself to search  The Word to make a discovery. In Luke 15 the Bible talks about the woman who lost her coin and lighted her candle and searched diligently until she  found the lost coin.

Today like that woman, many people are searching for their missing coin. In the course of life, they have something precious to them. Jesus came, among others, to restore all we may have lost. John 10:10 says ‘the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly’.

It is God’s will that we live an abundant life, with nothing missing or lacking or wanting. And it is through the light of God’s Word  that we can recover our lost coins. The word is the light that helps people recover what was lost in their destiny. As we study The Word, The Holy Spirit illuminates our mind to know what we need to do in order to see a restoration of what was lost. Indeed the recovery of destiny anchors on discovery of the Word. It is revelation that birth revolution. Discovery leads to recovery.

Sometimes by refusing to act according to the Word of God, we can lose things which originally belonged to us in the covenant. We can lose wealth, health, peace, etc due to ignorance or not walking in line with God’s will.  We can however experience restoration or recovery of these things by simply going to the Book of Covenant, to search out where we missed it. Diligent search in The Word will locate your missing inheritance and when you find it there is a reward and your expectations are not cut off.

PRAYER: Father Thank You lord for granting me the grace for continual diligent study of Your  Word. And as I study please help me  to make the discoveries that will lead to recovery of all I have ever lost in Jesus name.
