Proverbs 23:18  ‘For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.’

Christian Broadcasting Network, [CBN] sometime ago featured the amazing miracle story of Ema McKinley . During Easter weekend in 1993, Ema was at work on a high storage loft when unexpectedly she lost her balance and fell from that height and passed out. Her foot was lodged between boxes and her body hung upside down until a coworker found her and called 911. She did not recover consciousness until the following day. As Ema healed from the wounds she received in the fall, she developed widespread reflex sympathetic dystrophy, known as RSD, a chronic and progressive nerve disorder that left her entire body in severe pain.  After she was discharged from the hospital Ema was bound to a wheelchair. She could not walk at all and was in her wheel chair all the time with the exception of toileting. And she would remain like that for the next 18 years. And over the years Ema’s left hand closed into a fist she was unable to open. Her neck and spine twisted to the left leaving her body in an awkward and painful position.  In her situation, Ema being a Christian cried out to God. Through the calamity she drew closer to God and continually believed Him for a miracle.

At a point blood clots formed in her legs, which posed life threatening issues. Doctors wanted to amputate both of  her legs, but Ema refused, never giving up hope for her healing. She kept praying and thanking God in faith, believing that someday Jesus was going to heal her.

And that ‘someday’ was the night before Christmas Eve 2011. That day, Ema fell out of her wheelchair and because there was no one around to assist her, for eight hours she lay on the floor in excruciating pain, crying out to Jesus for help. And then the unexpected happened! Ema received a divine visitation. As she saw a bright light and a vision of The Lord, she suddenly felt her twisted body returning back to its normal position. Jesus was straightening out her crooked foot, her neck and her spine. Her left hand that had been a clinched fist for over 18 years  began to open up. And for the first time in so many years she could flex her hand and her fingers. And then she felt God’s power lift her from her wheel chair where she had been for the past 18 years. And by faith she took a few steps and found herself suddenly able to walk.

Just a few hours later, Ema’s two sons and her grandchildren came over to celebrate Christmas Eve, unaware of her miracle. What a great shock when they saw her! It was unbelievable to see her walking and her body all straightened out. What an awesome celebration and thanksgiving the family had.  Everyone who knew her were in awe of God’s love and power. Her story has been told through  various media outlets and captured in a book.

Zechariah 9:11 says  ‘As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.’

Indeed there is no pit so deep that the Blood of Jesus cannot bring us up from. Jesus has paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Therefore No matter how hopeless the situation or how long it may have lingered by the Blood of Jesus you will eventually have the victory.

Proverbs 23:18 says “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”

The force of expectation is a very powerful force. It is a supernatural force that eventually draws to us whatever we are expecting. Indeed expectation is the mother of manifestation. Against all hope, Ema believed God would heal her, and  finally it happened.

God has promised to grant our expectations.  But the question is what are you really expecting from God? Every man sets the stage for his own miracle. What you expect is what you will receive. God is able to do what He said He will do in your life.  And no matter the situation, God is always faithful to His Word.

Maybe like Ema, you have been believing God for a miracle for so long, don’t give up hope yet. Your  expectation will not be cut off.  Dligently feed on God’s Word to build up your faith for great expectations.  See into the plans of God for your life, and be assured that the best is still ahead.  It is indeed your year to see glory unveiled. In this new month expect to scale new and unprecedented heights. Determine this year’s prophesy must have full expression in your life. Believe God for greater things. Delays are not denials. As you keep looking unto God, believing His Word, you will never be ashamed.

Psalm 34:5 says “They looked unto him and were lightened and their faces were not ashamed.”

As long as you put  your  trust in The Lord, you shall never be ashamed. It doesn’t matter what may be coming against you, abide secured in Christ’s blood.  Indeed it is your year to see God’s glory unveiled in your life in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the great and amazing things You are set to do in my in this new month. Indeed I know that my expectations  to see glory this year shall surely come to pass, in Jesus Name.
