SEPTEMBER 27; REJOICE IN THE LORD!

Habakkuk 3:17-19 ‘Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.’

Isaac Watts is credited with writing over 750 hymns.
His Hymn writing began very early in life. As a young boy, Isaac realized that the hymns of the day were not expressing the kind of joy he felt inside of him. He desired to write hymns that would bless The Lord and impart joy into the hearts of people. And so he began writing hymns that expressed the joy of The Lord. One of these is the very popular Christmas hymn; “Joy to the World; the Lord is come.” Isaac Watts wrote mostly hymns of praise, which were widely accepted and well loved.
Reading through the hymns written by Watts, one would never suspect that while writing those hymns, he fought battles with his health. But despite the numerous challenges he faced, he decided to continually give God worthy praise. He refused to focus on his problems but rather focused on God’s promise.
He sought to bring joy to others and out of his compassion, one-third of his allowance was given to the poor.
Isaac Watts refused to be defeated by his problems but chose to give God praise and today the world is blessed with so many of his beautiful hymns as a result.

Praise is a powerful secret for our unstoppable progress in life. We may sometimes have a good reason to feel down and discouraged, but we have to learn to focus on the fact that God loves us and He’s working everything together for our good.. The ‘sacrifice of praise’ is praising God even when our circumstances dictate the contrary.
Hebrews 13:15 says ‘By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name’
We don’t just praise God when it feels good, looks good, or benefits us in some way. We offer praise, “continually.” As I Thessalonians 5:18 says “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
Though you may sometimes walk through the valley of the shadow of death, never forget that ahead, God has prepared a table for you, and your cup is about to run over. You must stay joyful and praiseful to see the harvest God has promised you.(Habakkuk 3:17-19).
To see victory, we need to stop looking at the problems and focus on God’s love. The more time we spend in His Word, the more His love is shed abroad in our hearts and we receive the faith with which to overcome the world and its challenges.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to remain praise-full at all times, no matter what comes my way. I know that You love me and even right now you are at work to turn every mourning into dancing for me in Jesus Name.

SEPTEMBER 26: OUR TRUE SOURCE OF JOY.

Depression is more than just sadness—it is a medical condition that affects how people think, feel, and function daily. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 300 million people worldwide live with depression, making it the leading cause of disability across the globe. It cuts across age, gender, and culture, sparing no demographic. Women are nearly twice as likely as men to experience it, while children and adolescents are increasingly affected by social, academic, and family pressures.

One of the core clinical signs of depression is a unique medical condition which doctors call anhedonia. Anhedonia causes people to lose the capacity to experience pleasure and no longer want to engage in formerly enjoyable experiences. Left untreated, it can impair memory, disturb sleep, weaken the immune system, and increase risks of chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease. Even more sobering, depression is a major factor behind suicide, which claims close to 800,000 lives each year. The increase in depression today is because many people are living worried, anxious, and full of fear due to increasing global instability.

True joy does not come from the absence of problems. It flows from the unchanging reality that God loves us. His love is the fountain of our strength. The reason we can rejoice, even in hard times, is because we are secure in His love that never fails.
The joy of the Lord is not just an emotion—it is a supernatural supply that springs from knowing we are accepted, redeemed, and kept by Him. When this revelation fills our hearts, no storm can overwhelm us, and no trial can sink us.
In Mark 6, the disciples were fighting against a contrary wind. They were toiling and rowing, and it must have been quite frustrating. But then Jesus came walking on the water and He said to them, “Be of good cheer!”
In other words, He was telling them to cheer up despite the storm because He was in control.
When Jesus is with you, no matter the storms that come, you can rejoice because He is in perfect control. Therefore never allow negative things to depress you because it only gives room to the devil to oppress you. By the Blood of Jesus, always fight against anything that tries to steal your joy. Through praise, we abide in God’s Presence where there is fullness of joy and pleasures evermore.
Philippians 4:4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
When you rejoice always, you will be surrounded by God’s Presence always. And when God is with you, nothing and nobody can be against you. Despite the uncertainties and instabilities in the world, you will keep flourishing, filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

PRAYER: Father, please let Your Word dominate my heart and fill me always with Your love, joy, and peace. By Your grace, I will never give place to depression, but will keep flourishing and manifesting Your glory wherever i go, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Jackie Joyner-Kersee is the first American to ever win a gold medal in the long jump. She is also the first woman in history to earn more than 7,000 points in the seven-event heptathlon. Her achievements are so astounding that she was voted the Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century by Sports Illustrated for Women.
However, it is interesting to note that when she first started out in sports, her performance was very poor and she used to finish last in a race.
She was greatly encouraged by her mother to trust in God and keep aiming for the best. And so instead of giving up due to her poor performances she decided to improve on herself and began to practice every day.
But as she began getting better at her sports, in 1983 she received devastating setbacks in her health..Yet she never allowed the sickness to limit her progress or overcome her. Her faith in God remained strong.
Five years later, at the 1988 Olympics, despite her sickness, Joyner-Kersee won three gold medals. And she would go on to win many more Olympic medals and setting unbroken world records in the process.
Joyner-Kersee, who is an ardent Christian believes that the secret of her success has been her steadfast faith in God and His amazing love that sustained her through impossible odds.

The love of God ensures life’s challenges never overcome us. Through Christ, that strengthens us, we can do all things.
Anytime you are faced with overwhelming situations always remember that as a child of God, you have what it takes to overcome, because the Greater One lives in you.
Therefore don’t be intimidated by the size of any obstacle that may face you. In fact, the bigger the test, the sweeter your testimony.
You don’t have to run helter skelter looking for solutions, faith is available through God’s Word to help you overcome.
If perhaps you are facing a tough situation in your health, finances, or relationships, learn to acquire the faith to overcome by settling down to in-depth study of the Word.
When your faith is strong, though the storm, rain and winds may come, you will survive them all and still stand strong.
Therefore today, refuse to magnify negative circumstances, rather magnify God because He loves you and has destined you to triumph always.
You may not see it right now, but God is working behind the scenes, in your favor.. Keep praising Him, because very soon, those difficulties, trials and challenges will turn around for your good and be used to manifest God’s glory in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to spend quality time in Your Word so that my faith can be strengthened to overcome challenges. I thank and praise You Lord for I know You are turning things around and manifesting Your glory in my life in Jesus Name.

Jonathan Bernor once lived a life that seemed beyond saving. His parents’ divorce left deep scars, and as a teenager he turned to drugs, crime, and eventually became a major cocaine and marijuana dealer. At just 17, he almost lost his life to a drug overdose, yet the spiral continued.
Though his mother had found Christ and prayed for him, Jonathan seemed too far gone. Even while pursuing success in weightlifting, his destructive lifestyle held him back. But when he was struck with a life-threatening illness—pancreatitis—everything shifted. On the edge of death, Jonathan cried out to God for mercy.
In His great love, God not only spared Jonathan’s life but miraculously healed him. That love broke through the hardness of his heart. From then on, Jonathan abandoned his criminal past, gave his life fully to Christ, and began serving in youth ministry. As he pursued God, he also rose to the top of powerlifting, eventually becoming world number one in his class. Today, Jonathan preaches the Gospel globally, testifying of the redeeming power of Jesus’ Blood.

If God’s love could reach Jonathan in the pit of addiction and crime, it can reach anyone and deliver them from any bondage.
Connection to Christ is the absolute game-changer in any arena of life.
No matter how disheveled any destiny may appear, through God’s intervention, there can be restoration and divine completeness.
Therefore, adverse circumstances do not have to determine the outcome of your life.
Despite the travails of the past, you can always prevail through a renewed commitment to Christ.
The Blood of Jesus is the ultimate proof of God’s love.
Jesus died to redeem us, even when we were unworthy and undeserving of mercy.
He gave us forgiveness, healing, and a brand-new life. Redemption is not earned; it flows from God’s love.
Today, if negative circumstances seem to surround you, your ticket to victory and deliverance is engagement of the Blood through knowledge of God’s Word.
Christ died at the Cross to give us the power to be overcomers in life.
The power in His Blood is ordained for our freedom from every shackle and bondage of the enemy.. By the Blood we are translated from failure to breakthrough, from sickness to health, from death to life, from weakness to power.
No matter how terrible your past experiences, today, through the power in the Blood, you can enjoy a new season.of victory and glory.

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for loving me unconditionally and redeeming me through the Blood of Jesus. Let Your love be the anchor of my life, and help me live in obedience and gratitude always in Jesus Name..

Richard D. Mangone was a successful banker who experienced the tragic consequences of greed and self-indulgence.
In the early 1980s, his legitimate business ventures expanded rapidly, making him millions of dollars. But his insatiable desire for more drove him into fraudulent schemes. He co-founded a company that manipulated loans, which funded an extravagant lifestyle—luxury cars, a mansion, a private plane, and properties worth millions. Yet, even with all his wealth, Mangone was never satisfied.
By 1991, auditors uncovered his crimes. Facing conviction, he fled, becoming a fugitive on the Federal Most-Wanted list. Hunted and hopeless, he eventually reached the point of despair, planning to end his life. But in that darkest moment, God’s love broke through. While preparing to commit suicide, he stumbled upon a TV preacher speaking of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Overwhelmed, Mangone cried out to God for forgiveness and surrendered his life to Christ.
Soon after, he turned himself in to the police and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Behind bars, he immersed himself in Scripture, ministering to fellow inmates. Upon his release in 2016, he founded Bezalel Prison Ministries, dedicated to bringing hope and restoration to the incarcerated.

No matter the temptations, we must guard against lowering our moral standards.
But even when we sometimes miss the mark, God is able to turn things around and make miracles out of our mistakes. We serve the God of second chances, who is able to re-paint our story on the canvas of His grace and glory.
Human greed, pride, or sin can strip a man of everything, but God’s love reaches deeper than our failures. Romans 5:8 assures us that even while we were lost in sin, Christ died for us. His love is not conditional on our goodness—it is unconditional, eternal, and transforming.
God’s love is not only a saving love but also a restoring love. It brings peace where there was turmoil, hope where there was despair, and purpose where there was brokenness.
With God, no mistake is final. His arms remain open, drawing you into a life of victory, peace, and fulfillment.
The door of destiny is only shut against those who refuse to embrace God’s love and rise from their ashes.
As we make a fresh commitment to walk in His love and obey His Word doors of opportunity will open to us and usher into greater levels of glory and overflowing blessings.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to always walk in Your love and obey Your Word in all my dealings. As I do, I thank You for connecting me to my next level and taking me to greater heights of glory and victory in Jesus Name.

Rene Martinez spent the majority of his life in and out of jail. He was arrested several times for breaking into homes, stealing guns, dealing drugs, and getting into fights. Martinez’s problems began at a young age when his mother, who practiced witchcraft, made animal sacrifices over him. He experienced demonic visions throughout his childhood, and by age 12, he had turned to violent crime and joined a street gang.
He survived numerous close encounters with death, including multiple shootings and a coma at 14 years of age. Many of his friends either died young or ended up serving life sentences. He later transitioned from street crime to professional bare-knuckle fighting, where he won many fights and achieved success, yet he still felt an inner void.
By this time his mother, who had converted to Christianity, began praying fervently for him. Her prayers were answered in 2013 when Martinez had a profound supernatural encounter where he heard Jesus telling him, “I spared you for such a time as this.”
Realizing that God was the One who had saved him from several deaths, Martinez repented and committed his life to Christ. Today he is a pastor spreading the Gospel around the world.

God’s love has spared us from the enemy’s plan of destruction and destined us to live a life of glory. Truly His love has the power to transform the vilest sinner and change the most impossible circumstances.
No matter how terrible a person’s story may appear, it is never out of reach of God’s love.
God’s love can destroy any yoke, break any chain, and establish a change of story in our lives.
God has delivered us from destruction, sin, and eternal death by His love manifested toward us through Christ (1 John 4:9).
When we realize the depth of God’s love, our only right response is obedience.
Obedience is how we honor the One who loved us first—it is our grateful response to the immeasurable sacrifice of Christ.
Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
Every act of obedience to God’s Word is both proof of our love for Him and a testimony of His love working in us.
Through focus on God’s Word, positive pictures are painted in our minds that lead to definite transformations.
Since God has shown us such great love by delivering us, let us show our love for Him by obeying His Word, living in holiness, and walking in righteousness.
Our obedience to God is the pathway to a life of glory, peace, and fulfillment.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You that it is my portion to experience positive transformation in every area of my life in this season. Surely, through Your amazing love, nothing can hinder my breaking forth on every side, in Jesus’ Name.

Concerns about global warming and a coming apocalypse have prompted some of the richest people on earth to start making plans to escape to other planets. In recent years, scientists have raised alarms over extreme weather conditions and how the earth is rapidly heading toward the worst catastrophe in human history.

With increasing technological advances, there are ongoing plans to make Mars habitable for humans. Though water on Mars is scarce, scientists say it is possible to grow food, produce breathable air, and harvest energy from solar panels. Space travel companies, such as Elon Musk’s SpaceX, are working toward establishing a human presence on Mars. Their vision is that by 2040 there will be a thriving Martian colony.

But the bottom line is this: only the wealthy will have the means to relocate to Mars. Those unable to afford the expensive escape will remain on earth to face any coming apocalypse.

As believers, our hope in these last days is not escaping to another planet, but finding refuge in Christ Jesus. “The name of the Lord is our strong tower that we run into and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). Just as Noah built an ark of safety from the flood, Jesus is the Ark that delivers men from the wrath to come. We secure our place in that Ark through spiritual investment—studying the Word, praying, fasting, worshipping, and fellowshipping with the Spirit.
Such spiritual practices draw us closer to God and help us develop deeper intimacy with Him. This guarantees the flow of His blessings into our lives. A strong relationship with God empowers us to live in dominion and victory, occupying until Jesus comes. We are not called to defeat or mediocrity, for Christ is returning for a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle.
The last days are our season to live in holiness, break forth on every side, and flourish despite the hard times. While gross darkness covers the earth, God’s glory will cover us. We will flourish and not perish!

PRAYER:
Lord, grant me the grace to persevere in prayer and to continually seek You with all my heart, so I may be empowered to do exploits and manifest Your glory in these last days, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

New Zealand’s most active volcano is in a place called White Island. For many years scientists believed it was a disaster waiting to happen, but after about a hundred years of no eruption, tourism to White Island increased steadily.
However, from 2011 the volcano on the island began showing increased activity, which caused scientists to begin giving out serious warnings.
Yet despite these warnings, tourists continued to arrive daily in boatloads to visit the island. In the weeks leading up to December 2019, New Zealand volcano monitoring service GeoNet raised the alert level on White Island to level 2, which meant that there was low level volcanic activity taking place on the island.
On Monday, December 9, 2019 there was nothing that signaled there was going to be a volcanic eruption. And so a tourist company named White Island Tours, took tourists from countries around the world to the island for a visit. But on that very day, in the afternoon, tragedy struck. About 47 tourists had been climbing deep inside the crater of the volcano when suddenly the White Island volcano erupted, blasting huge plumes of smoke and debris 12,000 kilometres into the sky. It killed at least six people and left over 20 fighting for their lives with severe burns.
After the tragedy, many people questioned why tourists would still be visiting the island after the several warnings from scientists.

God’s love for the world is manifested in the fact that He has given several Biblical warnings about the end of the world. But people keep ignoring
these warnings, thinking it cannot really happen.
We are at a time when the majority of end-time signs have been fulfilled. Therefore we should live our lives as though the Lord could come at any moment.
1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 says ‘For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.’
The Bible has given us several instructions on how to overcome in these last days. The first instruction is for all believers to “watch.”
In Mathew 24:42, Jesus said “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come”
The idea of setting a specific watch was understood in Christ’s time. The Romans divided the evening and night
into a series of four periods called “watches,” marked as the first, second, third, and fourth watch.
In Luke 21:36 Jesus said “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man”.
In addition to watching we are also to pray . Prayer sharpens our spiritual sensitivity and keeps us vigilant and watchful.
It is the enemy’s ploy to keep men’s minds sedated through preoccupation with worldly affairs. But as we daily focus on God’s Word, we will abide in His love, stay spiritually awake and not be caught unawares by the events of these last days.

PRAYER: Father please enable me to heed Biblical warnings of these end-times through becoming spiritually alert. Please grant me the grace to constantly watch and pray so as to be sensitive to the leadings of Your Spirit in Jesus Name.

The story of Edier Osvaldo Ruiz’s transformation from a Colombian hitman to a pastor is a shining testament to God’s unfailing love. As a young man, Edier was recruited into the deadly underworld of the infamous criminal, Pablo Escobar. Edier quickly became a feared contract killer and was soon listed among Colombia’s most wanted men.
Eventually, the law caught up with him, and he was sentenced to 48 years in prison. Behind bars, he encountered former criminal friends who had found new life in Christ. They urged him to turn to Jesus, but his hardened heart resisted. Then, one day, Edier experienced the overwhelming love of God when he heard a voice calling him to accept Jesus as Savior. Trembling, he yielded his heart to Christ. That moment of divine love marked his rebirth. Miraculously, he served only 11 years of his sentence before being released. He then sought forgiveness from the families of his victims, astonishing everyone with his humility and repentance. Today, the once-feared hitman is a pastor, proclaiming God’s amazing love, grace, and redemption.

God’s everlasting love is what transforms our lives. His love draws us out of sin, out of shame, and out of defeat, and ushers us into newness of life. Like Edier, we are all living testimonies of a love that never gives up.
Jeremiah 31:3 reminds us that God’s love is eternal, and His kindness continually draws us closer to Him.
God does not love us because we are perfect—He loves us in order to perfect us in Christ.
It is His love that lifts us from brokenness into wholeness, from sin into righteousness, and from defeat into victory. God does not love us because we are qualified; rather, His love qualifies us for destiny.
God’s everlasting love guarantees our victory and ensures that our lives shines brighter and brighter every day (Proverbs 4:18).
Today, let us consciously connect God’s love through walking in obedience to His Word. As we do so, He will draw us into His divine purpose, realign our circumstances and position us for greater glory

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love and drawing me daily with Your kindness. Lord, please help me to feed constantly on Your Word, so that I can have the faith to embrace Your divine transformations and revelations of Your glory in my life in Jesus Name

From a cleaner, dishwasher, and gas station attendant, Do Won Chang rose to become one of the richest men in the world.
Do Won Chang and his wife are born-again Christians who immigrated from South Korea to America in 1981.
Desiring to know God’s plan for him, Do Won Chang went into prayer and sensed God telling him to open a clothing store.
With faith in God’s Word, Do Won Chang worked hard to raise money and did jobs such as cleaning, dishwashing, and being a gas station attendant. After working for three years, he and his wife were able to save $11,000. With this money, they started a small clothing boutique in 1984.
They ran their business by daily seeking divine counsel from God in prayer. Today, their small business has expanded to become a global clothing brand that generates billions of dollars and has multiple outlets around the world. Do Won Chang and his wife have been listed among the Forbes list of wealthiest Americans.
Despite their busy schedule, the couple remain dedicated Christians who serve actively in their church and have contributed millions of dollars toward the spread of the Gospel around the world.

The story of Do Won Chang teaches us that our success, prosperity, and victory are not because of our qualifications, wisdom, or strength. It is all because of the unchanging love of God. Deuteronomy 7:8 reminds us that God’s mighty acts on behalf of Israel flowed from His covenant love. He did not choose them because they were many or mighty, but simply because He loved them.
The same truth applies to us today. We are not sustained by our own power, but by the everlasting arms of the Father.
When we sincerely connect to Him in a loving relationship, He pours out blessings beyond our wildest imagination.
Your beginning may be small, but through God’s love, your coast will greatly enlarge.
When you constantly put God first in your life, your latter end shall surely increase. It is only a matter of time.
When God is for you, though the chips may seem stacked against you, certainly, you will break through the barriers and break forth to unprecedented new heights of glory.
Therefore today, let us keep praising God and seek to always honor Him because they that put their trust in Him shall never be ashamed.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your amazing love that guarantees me blessings and success in my endeavors. Please enable me to stay focused on Your Word so that I can have the faith to overcome all obstacles and attain the new realms of glory You have ordained for me in Jesus’ Name.
