MAY 10; GROWING IN GRACE AND WONDERS..

2 Peter 3:18 “‘But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.’

DAILY READING; John 11:28-57; 2 Chronicles 12-13; Psalm 76

Many global News Headlines carried the story of the bomb blast that rocked Nashville, Tennessee on Friday December 25th, 2020.
On that Christmas morning, sounds of gunshots had awoken residents of downtown Nashville.
The police was called in, and when they arrived they traced the gunshots to a suspicious looking van parked along the street. Things became eerie when suddenly a recording began to play from this van, saying there was a bomb in the vehicle and that anyone nearby should evacuate.
The officers called in for immediate re-enforcement and also the bomb squad was called.
One of the police officers at the scene was Officer James Wells, who is a Christian.
After they had evacuated the residents from the immediate vicinity, officer Wells decided to go back to take a look at the van. However, as he began walking towards the van, he said he suddenly heard the voice of God telling him to turn back. He immediately obeyed and turned back. That move was what saved his life.
Just as he took a few steps away, the van erupted in a massive explosion. Officer Wells was knocked off his feet but managed to get up and run to safety.
The explosion destroyed many houses and the blast was so severe that it caused widespread communications outages and grounded flights at the city’s airport. Miraculously no one was killed in the blast.
Later, these police officers who had acted promptly to evacuate the area were celebrated as heroes. During the Press Conference, officer Wells publicly credited God for saving his life. He said ‘This might not be politically correct but this is my truth. I literally heard God tell me to turn around…, I’m a spiritual person, and so I truly believe that when I do this job, I’m led by that voice, that’s what guides me,”
A video release from a police Body Cam showed how indeed officer Wells was walking towards the van but suddenly turned around just before the explosion. Had he gone any further he would have possibly been killed by the massive blast.

Although destruction awaited officer James Wells that Christmas morning, mercy said ‘No’ and grace pulled him back.
As believers, our security and protection lies in the grace and mercy of God. .
The truth is that we live in a dangerous world, full of perils and lurking dangers.

The grace of God is a vital mystery for surviving and thriving on the earth.
Protection and advancement does not lie in hard work or mental smartness, rather it is God’s grace that makes the difference.

As believers, grace is the tangible and undeniable hand of God in our lives and in our affairs.
And the closer we are to God, the more His grace grows in our lives.

In the illustration, that police officer said he was a spiritual man. This was why he could hear the voice of God and experience the grace of deliverance.
Through the knowledge of God, grace grows in our lives.

2 Peter 3:18 says ‘But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.’

Jesus is the dispenser of grace and the more of Him in our lives, the more grace we experience..
At new birth, we received a measure of grace just like we receive a measure of faith [Ephesians 2:8-9].
However, that measure of grace needs to be multiplied through spiritual knowledge.

2 Peter 1:2 says ‘Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.’

We therefore need to engage in laboring in the Word and prayers so as to see greater grace at work in our lives.
Through spiritual labour we receive the value of grace into our lives.Without labour, grace will be in vain.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:10 ‘But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.’

Laboring in prayers and study of the word are fundamental spiritual principles that enhance the multiplication of grace.

Indeed the place of grace has no substitute in our race in life. Grace makes the difference between life and death, success and failure, growth and redundancy.
Indeed it is grace that makes great.
Let us therefore today accept the responsibility to grow spiritually so as to see greater grace and experience more of God’s wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, I am thankful for Your grace that is available to me. Please help me to grow in Knowledge of Your Word so that grace can be multiplied in my life to see Your greater wonders in Jesus’ Name.

MAY 9; SOMETHING TO SHOUT ABOUT..

Mark 9:23 ‘Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.’

DAILY READING –• John 11:1-27; 2 Chronicles 10-11; Psalm 75

Mrs. Jean Neil from Rugby, England had suffered for 25 years due to a spinal injury that involved 14 operations.
She had been confined to a wheelchair and had slept for many years on a solid wooden board to help alleviate her pain.
It seemed she would be in that condition for the rest of her life.
However, one day, God’s grace and mercy showed up for her.

in 1988, she had a very strange dream where she saw herself at a crusade in a giant auditorium with thousands of people. She saw herself being prayed for by a minister whom she did not know. Then in that dream, she came out of her wheelchair and began running.

After waking up, she pondered upon the dream. Soon after that she learnt that Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke would be ministering in Birmingham, England, three weeks from that time. She believed that if she would go to the crusade, God would heal her as shown to her in the dream.
Her condition was so bad that she had to get an ambulance to take her to the venue.
However, when she arrived there, surprisingly, everything shown to her in the dream began to unfold.

Reinhard Bonnke indeed prayed for her. She got up on the platform in front of 11,000 people and began running. This woman who had been paralyzed and immobile for 25 years was instantly and totally healed!
Her miracle was so spectacular that the Tabloid press across England reported the story.
Her doctor described her healing as “unbelievable.”
Indeed her story defied medical explanation..
Her testimony was captured in the famous documentary ‘Something to Shout About’.

Indeed God’s inexplicable wonders are something to shout about!
We serve the God of sudden divine intervention!
No situation is ever too late for Him.

God may not move immediately, but He can move suddenly. Just when you may think it is over, and there is no way out, God can do inexplicable miracles and give you sudden deliverance.

This is why you must never give up no matter the condition.
Rather stay in Faith and keep declaring God’s counsel over your life.
We serve the God of wonders, to Whom nothing is impossible.
He has never failed and won’t start failing with you.
Certainly, those that put their trust in Him shall never be ashamed.

It doesn’t matter how long that situation may have lingered, surely, there is an end and your expectations shall not be cut off.

Delay is never denial. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning [Psalms 30:5].
Trust that even right now God is working behind the scenes, setting the stage for your miracle.
Though, in the natural you don’t see how it can happen, if you can stay in faith, you will surely see God’s wonders..
Indeed nothing will be impossible when you believe.
God asked Ezekiel. “Do you believe that dry bones can rise and live again?’
It seemed incredible, unfathomable, unbelievable, yet God miraculously caused the dry bones to live again.
And so shall it be for you as you believe today.
The medical report may not look good, the financial situation may seem tough, the marriage could be struggling: but then do you believe that God can make it work?

Indeed nothing can stand against God’s plan for you when you believe.
Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. And to have faith you must commit to diligent study of God’s Word.

Certainly in this season, as we stay in faith, we shall see God’s inexplicable wonders and truly have something to shout about.

PRAYER: Lord, Thank You for Your grace that is at work in my life to do inexplicable signs and wonders. Please enable me to diligently study Your Word so that faith can arise in my heart to believe You always for the miraculous in Jesus Name.

MAY 8; NEVER LOSE YOUR JOY

Nehemiah 8:10 ‘Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

DAILY READING; • John 10:22-42; 2 Chronicles 9; Psalm 74

This week, The Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as The Winner’s Chapel, is celebrating its 40th year anniversary.
Interestingly, this ministry has come so far because of Dr. David Oyedepo’s secret of always maintaining his joy despite adverse situations.

The ministry first begun in 1981, known then as the Liberation Faith Hour Ministries. It would later be renamed Living Faith Church World Wide (LFCWW).

In those first years, the ministry was based at Kaduna. And one of the earliest secrets Dr. Oyedepo discovered was that he had to remain joyful, if he was to maintain God’s Presence.

In 1989, Dr. Oyedepo and his wife took off from Kaduna to Lagos on their way to an overseas trip to London and America. However, for three days, their flight was delayed, and they were stuck in Lagos. So Dr. Oyedepo changed his mind about the trip and they headed back home to Kaduna.
However, when they got to Kaduna, it was discovered that Dr. Oyedepo’s personal luggage was missing from among the other luggages..
Despite the fact that he had important things in the luggage, he chose not to become bothered about the situation.
What he said was “Thank God it was not my wife’s box..”
When his wife wanted to make a list of the missing items, he told her not to, because the box had already switched ownership, so why should he bother himself with listing the items that were already lost.
When a concerned pastor asked, “You mean you lost a box on that trip?” Bishop Oyedepo replied humorously, “No, somebody took it, I didn’t throw it away!”

He simply refused to be worried about the situation.
As he continued to maintain his joy, the next day, he heard God clearly say to him “My son, arise, get out to Lagos and raise me a people.”
This divine instruction was what led to Dr. Oyedepo’s relocation from Kaduna to Lagos.

In Lagos, the ministry began to experience unprecedented growth and success.
Ten years later in 1999, the ministry dedicated the Faith Tabernacle which entered the Guiness book of records as the world’s largest Church auditorium. The relocation to Lagos indeed led to the flourishing of the ministry globally and its numerous great accomplishments which are being celebrated today.

No matter the situation we must always maintain our joy.
Often times when you are at the point of your breakthrough the enemy tries to create a break down around you. It has been said that your greatest battles often come just before your greatest victories. Therefore if you see things begin to go haywire around you, it could be because the enemy is seeing a breakthrough coming your way and is only attempting to create a distraction to divert your blessings.
This is why you must be deliberate in maintaining your joy at all times.
Often the enemy would try to first depress you so that he can oppress you. Some of those annoying things that happen around you are deliberate efforts to keep you constantly frustrated and joyless.. They are plans to keep you in a state of weakness because the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Therefore, always maintain your joy no matter what happens around you. In a state of joy it becomes easy to hear the voice of God. But if you are in a state of depression it becomes difficult to hear God’s next instruction for your advancement.

In this season, refuse to be weighed down or depressed over any issue. In everything always give thanks to God because that is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

God indeed is in control of your life and He is in charge of your journey. His thoughts towards you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end
When you trust His plans, you will not be troubled about negative happenings because somehow all things will eventually work together for your good.

This is why we keep praising Him.
Even if things seem bleak and dark, through praise, you can be raised out of any pit.
Certainly, God is greater than any situation that will ever confront you in this life. Therefore, rather than fret or worry, always remain joyful.
Through gratitude, you will move to higher altitudes..
As you keep focusing on God’ and trusting in His Word, He will lift you to your next level of destiny.
Indeed as long as you retain your joy, you will surely triumph in the end.

PRAYER: Lord , I thank You for the grace to keep praising You in every situation. Please help me to always maintain my joy at all times, so that I can keep moving higher to my next level. Thank You Lord for granting me divine speed and ease in this season in Jesus Name.

MAY 7; GOD WILL DELIVER YOU.

Psalm 34:15 ‘The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.’

DAILY RREADING; John 10:1-21; 2 Chronicles 8; Psalm 73

The I-35W Mississippi Bridge was built in 1967 and was Minnesota’s third busiest bridge. It carried about 140,000 vehicles daily across the Mississippi River.
However, on August 1, 2007, the bridge collapsed during the evening rush hour.

On that day, Michele McLane was one of the people driving across the bridge, when the tragedy struck. She had left work a little bit late and as she was driving through the bridge, she suddenly heard a big boom and the ground began to shake. The concrete in front of her began cracking open and then behind her the bridge began to collapse and fall.
The slope caused by the falling bridge made her vehicle to drop and began to roll back. It was obvious at that point that her car was going to fall into the river below. She realized she might die if her car fell because the height was too high. With all that terror, fear, chaos and noise going on around her, she just yelled out a prayer to God, to help her escape the falling bridge.
In that moment, it was as if God made all the fear within her to cease, and an inexplicable peace came over her. Then she heard God say to her, “Michelle, your foot is still on the accelerator. Go!”
And so she pushed the accelerator to the floor, revving her car furiously up the slope of the falling bridge. She floored the accelerator until her car was able to reach up to level ground on the other side of the bridge. She then pulled off to the side of the road. But on looking back she realized that there was no other car coming up from the bridge. She was the last person to have driven through before the bridge finally collapsed. God had saved her right in the nick of time!
In that accident 13 people were killed and 145 people injured.
But somehow God had snatched Michelle out of the tragedy without a scratch.
News Media outlets that carried the story were amazed at how Michelle was able to escape the falling bridge. She gave God all the glory for hearing her desperate cry and rescuing her.
Her story is recorded in her book titled, ‘Back again.’

Psalm 18:6 says ‘In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.’

Every parent knows a distress cry from their children. It’s not a temper tantrum or a whine for attention. Once a parent hears that distress cry, everything else is dropped and that child receives priority attention.
That’s how God feels about us.

There are times in life when the best thing you can do is cry out to God from the depths of your being.
When God hears such a cry, He answers speedily.
Certainly, His ears are open to the cry of the righteous.
When we love God and serve Him, His Word assures us that whenever we cry, He hears us and arises for our deliverance.

God says in Psalm 91:14 -15 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

As long as you serve God, in the times of trouble He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will always show up for your rescue.
He didn’t leave Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fire, He came as the 4th man and brought them out. He didn’t leave Daniel in the lion’s den, He closed the lions’ mouths and rescued him. He didn’t leave Paul and Silas in the prison, He caused an earthquake and opened the prison doors.
In the same way, God will not leave us nor forsake us in times of trouble.
Indeed we serve the God of wonders who can break through any barrier and deliver us out of any tight situation.
Each time the enemy tries to get you into a fix, when he thinks he has locked all doors of escape, always remember that you serve the God that rules over the affairs of men. He is able to bring you out even from the jaws of the lion.
He is able to perform miracles, signs and wonders that will baffle people around you and cause them to ponder.

Nothing can limit God. Therefore today, as you call upon Him be assured that He will hear and deliver you.
Only keep your trust in Him and do not be moved by what you see. Be moved only by what God’s Word has said.
Faith is the link that keeps you connected to Heaven for a rescue operation, therefore don’t break that link. As long as you can stay in faith, anything and everything is possible.

In every situation, let us keep praising God, because He is our ever present help in time of need.
Certainly, today, you are coming out of every tight situation in your health, finances, relationships etc.
No matter the circumstance, God’s grace will be sufficient for you. Surely, by the Blood of Jesus, you have the victory.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your grace that is able to deliver me from any tight and tough situation today. Please help me to make Your Word top priority in my life, so that I can always walk by faith, and not by sight. Thank You Lord for always hearing me when I call and answering me speedily in Jesus Name.

MAY 6; THE PREPARATION FOR MANIFESTATION..

DAILY READING John 9:24-41; 2 Chronicles 7; Malachi 4

2 Chronicles 27:6, ‘So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.’

One of the renowned healing evangelists of the 20th century was Reverend Walter Grant.
He was a man mightily used by God to manifest signs and wonders to his generation..

In his ministry, there were diverse testimonies of healings and deliverances that marvelled many people…
However, while many saw these outward manifestations of power, few saw the preparations that led to it.

In his book ‘Searching for the Supernatural’, Reverend Walter Grant spoke about how he desperately sought for the anointing before receiving it..
As a young minister, he earnestly sought God’s power through spending time in prayer, fasting, studying the Word and reading many anointed books.
This was virtually his lifestyle for fourteen years.
Even after he was appointed to be the director over 13 churches, he refused to settle into a nominal religious lifestyle. Rather, his heart continued to hunger for the Pentecostal power of the early Church as recorded in the book of Acts..
As he passionately sought God, one night he had a divine visitation from the Lord. Through this encounter he began to experience a mighty flow of God’s power.
From then on, he would sometimes feel the Holy Spirit and Fire running all through his body as if he was connected to a high electric voltage.
This soon resulted in the eruption of amazing miracles, signs and wonders in his life and ministry. These manifestations of power brought him to global limelight, especially during the 1950’s healing revival that swept through America

Certainly, there is a price to pay to see God’s signs and wonders.
There is a preparation that must precede our manifestation.
Everyone who will be used by God has to go through a season of separation and preparation.

The men and women who take time to wait upon God, will eventually emerge fired with unshakeable faith and power to impact their world.
Suddenly they appear, as if from nowhere, to do mighty signs and wonders and bring glory to God.
It is through such mighty men and women of valour that true Revivals are born on the earth.

Indeed God polishes His vessels in the secret place of spiritual preparation before unveiling them to the world.
Therefore, to manifest wonders, we must be ready to submit to a lifestyle of earnestly seeking God, until we are molded and strengthened to manifest His power.

There must be seriousness in our spiritual preparations if we are ever to reach our godly potentials of manifesting God’s anointing to our generation.

2 Chronicles 27:6 says, ‘So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.’

Your level of spiritual preparation is what will determine your height of outward manifestation.
Preparation is the fundamental key in the school of success.
No matter how religious anyone is, if the price for power is not paid, it will be difficult to experience true progress and victory in life. Every open door comes with many adversaries and it is only through the greatness of God’s power that those enemies submit to you.
Indeed it is impossible to triumph in life without power.

Therefore, let us begin to pay the required price to manifest God’s power to our world.
Indeed to see
the wonders prophesied over us this year, we must engage in a lifestyle of fervent prayers, study of God’s Word and walking in purity.
Especially in this month of grace,
Let us take advantage of the divine help available in this season to rise to greater spiritual heights.

lndeed it’s our time to break free from every limitation and experience victory on every side.
Certainly, as we pay the spiritual price of preparation, we will begin to experience the manifestation of God’s promise of wonders in our health, finances, family and all areas of our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your marvelous help to me in this season of grace.. Thank You for the great and mighty things You have in store for me. Please enable me to pay the price of spiritual preparation so as to see the manifestation of Your wonders in Jesus’ Name.

MAY 5THE GIFT OF GRACE

Ephesians 2:8
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

DAILY READING – John 9:1-23; 2 Chronicles 6; Malachi 2:17-3:18

There is a medical procedure used mostly in Europe called “Fresh Cell Therapy”. This treatment, which has existed for 90 years, was discovered in 1931 by a Swiss surgeon named Dr. Paul Niehans. He found out that the cells of a lamb could be used in a near-miraculous revitalization therapy, which could help tackle numerous ailments, including some incurable diseases.

For instance, the heart of the lamb could be liquefied, mixed with saline solution and injected into the heart of a patient with certain heart problems. These cells of the lamb would actually assist in the replacing of the bad cells in the human heart and helped them to recover quickly.

After his discovery, for the next few decades, Dr. Niehans was able to successfully treat thousands of patients, including Presidents, Popes, kings and several Hollywood stars. In 1954, an ailing Pope Pius XII enlisted Dr. Niehans to treat his chronic hiccup. So happy was the Pope with the successful treatment, that he appointed Dr. Niehans to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, to fill the seat previously occupied by late Sir Alexander Fleming, the inventor of penicillin. For the rest of his lifetime, Dr. Paul Niehans’ renown grew through his therapy of successfully treating diseases by injecting healthy lamb cells into the human body.

Interestingly, the medical procedure of the Fresh Cell therapy, could actually be a reflection of a spiritual principle. Eating the body of the lamb of God keeps believers in divine health.
This principle traces back to Exodus 12, when different plagues were ravaging through the land of Egypt. In the heat of this calamity, at the night of the Passover, God instructed the Jews to eat the body of the lamb and sprinkle its blood on the doorposts for their protection.

Today, Jesus is the Passover lamb that has been sacrificed for us. As we eat His flesh and drink His Blood we have divine protection from the plagues, diseases and evils of this end-times. In John 6:51 Jesus said, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.’

As we partake of the flesh and Blood of the lamb of God through the communion we are guaranteed eternal life, divine health and protection. The communion is a miracle meal. It holds the key to walking in supernatural health and deliverance for the body and the mind. This is what the gift of God’s grace has provided for us through salvation.

Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

No man can earn redemption and its benefits of divine health and protection. It is the gift of grace we gained as the Lamb of God was slain in our place. Jesus died so that we might live. His Body was broken so that ours could be made whole. His Blood was shed so that ours will never be shed.

Today, we can live in victory, through the sacrifice of the Lamb.

As we partake of His body and Blood through the communion, we are guaranteed supernatural health, peace, protection and provisions. We are not entitled to these things, nor could we ever earn them, they are the gifts of God through grace.

Grace is unmerited favor. It is God’s goodness to us when we deserved nothing.

In this month, we are in a season of Great Grace. It is our time to see inexplicable and unexpected miracles in our health, finances, family and all that concerns us.

It is certainly our season to experience the wonders of grace because of the divine provisions of the lamb of God slain at Calvary’s Cross for us.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the provisions of divine health, protection and victory You have made available through the price Jesus paid at Calvary. I thank You Lord that in this month, it is certainly my season to experience the wonders of Your grace in Jesus’ name.

MAY 4; GOD’S AMAZING GRACE.

Hebrews 4:16: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

DAILY READING; John 8:48-59; 2 Chronicles 5:2-14; Malachi 2:10-4:7

Ruth Graham is the third child of the renowned Evangelist, Billy Graham. She is an author and speaker and founder of the Ruth Graham Ministries.
Like all the other daughters of Billy Graham, Ruth got married when she was only 18 years old. However, after almost 20 years of marriage, Ruth had to go through a divorce.

Being the daughter of a foremost evangelist, Ruth feared the divorce would damage Billy Graham’s reputation. She would be the first divorced person in her family, and she felt she had grossly disappointed her parents.
Perhaps to right the wrong, she quickly got into another relationship and rushed to get married again. However her parents were not in support of this second quick marriage and warned her against it.
But Ruth didn’t listen, she went ahead and got married against her parents’ wishes.

Within 24 hours of the second marriage, Ruth realized that she had Indeed made a mistake, as she found out that her new husband was violent. One month later, the marriage ended and fearing for her safety, Ruth got into a car and headed to her parents’ home.
During the long drive, all kinds of anxious thoughts swirled in her mind. She knew her parents had every right to say, “We told you so.” She especially dreaded her father’s anger. The closer home she drove, the more her fears multiplied at every mile.
She was nervous, anxious and broken when she finally arrived.. As she rounded the last bend of the long driveway to their home, she saw her father, Billy Graham, standing in front of the house, waiting.
She feared the worst. However, as she got out of the car, she was greatly surprised. Rather than reprimand, her father wrapped his arms tightly around her and said, ‘Welcome home.’
There was not a hint of condemnation in his expression and voice. In that moment, Ruth indeed realized the true meaning of Grace. “It was a wonderful picture of a father’s love for a broken child,” Ruth said later in a media interview.
Love and acceptance from her family helped Ruth to heal. Today, she ministers the same healing to others through her ministry..
She has outlined her struggles and healing process in her book titled ‘In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart..’

Ruth Graham’s story is a portrait of God’s amazing grace.
We don’t deserve it, we can’t afford it, yet God keeps lavishing His grace on us.

God’s grace is greater than our sins, faults and failures.
Grace does not look upon our weakness or shortcomings, rather it observes us through eyes of love.

At a time of doubt, fear and insecurity, when you feel alone and helpless, grace shows up to offer a second chance.
It doesn’t matter where you have been or what you have done, there is always healing, deliverance and restoration available at the throne of grace.

Hebrews 4:16 say “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

If you have made mistakes or have struggles that has hindered your spiritual progress, it is time to come to the open arms of the Father and be wrapped in His forgiveness and grace.

Do not keep on struggling under the weight of guilt and condemnation. Sufficient grace has been made available through the Blood of Jesus.

However, we must also realize that we cannot receive God’s grace in vain.
The Bible says very clearly, “Whosoever confesses and forsakes his sin shall have mercy with the Lord”.
When the woman caught in adultery was brought to Jesus, He looked at her and said, “Neither do I condemn you, but go, and sin no more”.
When grace is received, true repentance and positive change must follow.
We do not squander God’s grace. Therefore, we must be careful about some of the ‘grace messages’, that encourage people to sin and claim that they are ‘covered by grace’.
When we receive grace, there must be a determination to have a change in conduct. Certainly, the grace of God should leave us better than it met us.

Therefore in this season, as we connect to divine grace, let us
be determined to rise above past failures and indeed live in ways that continually brings glory to God.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your grace that is at work in my life. Please enable me never to squander Your grace or receive it in vain. By Your help, I shall certainly live a life that continually glorifies You in Jesus Name..

MAY 3; KEPT BY GOD’S GRACE

Isaiah 25:4 ‘For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.’

DAILY READING; John 8:21-47; 2 Chronicles 2:17-5:1; Malachi 1:1-2:9

Former supermodel, Niki Taylor, was one of the most famous names and faces of the 1990s. She began working as a model at only 13 years of age and by age 16, she had become a millionaire.
At the height of her career in 1991, Niki became the youngest model to sign a major contract with CoverGirl.
She led campaigns for fashion companies such as Versace, L’Oreal, Gap, Covergirl, and Pantene.
Outwardly Niki appeared to have it all.
However, everything suddenly changed one day in May 2001.
On that eventful day, Niki was riding as a passenger in a car when there was a drastic accident.
Though she survived, she lost nearly 80 percent of her blood. The accident left her fighting for her life — with just a 1 in 10 chance of survival.
She had to stay in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit for months. She went through 56 operations to repair a collapsed lung, serious liver damage, head trauma, and severe spinal damage. However, throughout her ordeal, her family stood by her and constantly kept praying for her.
After many months of battle, she finally recovered fully and was discharged from the hospital.
The accident brought Niki Taylor closer to God and made her commit her life to Christ. It also made her to re-assess her priorities and to become more appreciative of Life’s simple blessings.
In her first TV interview after the accident, Niki told ABCNEWS; “I’m just so thankful right now … that I have legs. And that I have arms, and that God gave me another day to wake up.,”

Although, Niki Taylor had seemed to have it all, yet she almost lost it all in a single mishap.
Indeed life on earth can be so unpredictable and precarious that it takes the grace of God to make it from one moment to the other.
It doesn’t matter how much a man may amass, all can be lost in a twinkling of an eye. This is why we daily need to depend on the grace of God.
As we run the race of life, we can never outgrow our need for grace.

As believers, Redemption has purchased for us extravagant grace. This has made a huge difference in our story.
Despite the many battles we have faced, God has continued to be our sun and our shield.
Indeed God has been our refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. [Isaiah 25:4]

Truly, if it had not been for the Lord on our side, where would we be? It is only because of His mercies that we have not been consumed.
Do you know how many people went through what you went through and didn’t come out of it alive? Yet you survived through God’s grace.

We are indeed products of God’s unfailing goodness and faithfulness.
For this reason,
God deserves our every praise.
Even if you have lost anything, understand that God is the reason why you have not lost everything. Even if your life is not yet what you desire it to be, it is only because of God that you are still alive and you still have hope for the future.

God is indeed faithful.
Let us therefore continually appreciate Him for His many blessings. To take God for granted is to be grounded, life is a privilege, not a right.

Today, as we thank Him for His finger in our lives, He will certainly reveal His arm to us. As we keep praising God, He will keep raising us.
Indeed as long as we keep expressing gratitude we will not stop gaining altitude in life.

PRAYER: Father, I am grateful for Your grace and mercy that has brought me thus far. Indeed it is because of Your faithfulness that I am still alive today. I do not take Your goodness for granted. I am truly grateful Lord and I bless Your Holy Name now and for evermore in Jesus Name.

MAY 2; ELEVATED BY GRACE

1 Corinthians 15:10 ‘But by the grace of God I am what I am.’

DAILY READING; John 8:1-20; 2 Chronicles 1:1-2:16; Zechariah14

Zach Williams was raised in the church amongst a warm and loving community. His grew up in a Christian home where his dad led worship in Church and His mom sang on the worship team with him. They were in church every Sunday and every Wednesday. His parents planted the seed and foundation of God’s Word in him at an early age in life.
But like most kids, Zach wanted to find his way. He thought he knew more than his parents. When he turned 15 years old, worldly desires began to take him over.
He started experimenting with drugs and alcohol and started running around with the wrong crowd. By senior year of high school, he found himself jumping out of school. Despite all these, his parents always prayed for him believing that God had a plan for his life. They used to pray Jeremiah 29:11 over him.
By his late twenties and early thirties, Zach tried to be a rock star and live the lifestyle of a typical rocker. He was recording and touring for three years with his band Zach Williams & The Reformation—living life on a cliff-edge.
However, that lifestyle only made him miserable as he kept failing in his music and even his marriage came to the brink of failing.
One day while on a music tour, he heard a song on the radio that began his journey of redemption. As he listened to the song ‘Redeemed’ by Big Daddy Weave on the radio, he felt the presence of God and his life suddenly radically altered.
Zach cancelled his next show, cancelled his whole tour and quit the band and headed back home to be with his family.
He came home from the tour, sick and tired of his life. He fell on his hands and knees in his bedroom floor and gave it all over to Jesus. He asked God to just come and save him.
From then on, Zach began to see the wonder of God’s amazing grace.
As God took over his life, Zach began to experience real success. His first faith-based album ‘Chain Breaker’ was a resounding success that won a Grammy Award and established Zach Williams as a major Gospel Artiste.

Certainly, it is God’s grace that makes the race great.
Our breakthrough does not lie in our own strength, because by strength shall no man prevail (1 Samuel 2:9).
Our breakthrough lies in the help of God, because it is His grace that makes the difference in any life.
Grace is the tangible and undeniable hand of God on a man’s life that can lift him from a zero to a hero.

In order to be a wonder, we need to operate above the realms of human smartness, skill and intelligence and exceed our human capacity, and this is what grace does for us.

The grace of God is one of the vital mysteries for speedy elevation in life.
We do not succeed in life by power or might, only by the help of the Spirit of God.
The covenant secret that turns around the stories of men is the grace of God. When divine grace is at work in your life, you will enjoy ceaseless and outstanding breakthroughs.
We need to value the power of grace in our lives because those who do not appreciate the place of grace end up in disgrace.

Certainly, without Christ we can do nothing, but through Him we can do all things.
The grace of God is what makes men to be great.

In 1 Corinthians 15:10 Apostle Paul says, ‘But by the grace of God I am what I am.’

Indeed, every story of greatness is rooted in God’s grace, and we connect to grace through God’s Word. The Word of God is what provides us strength and stamina for the race of life. The force of faith in the Word is what moves men forward.
If you have faced stagnation or lack of growth in any area of your life this year, it is time to connect to God’s grace through His Word for a forceful turnaround of the situation.
The power in the Word will push you forward and break every barrier resisting your progress
As we begin to engage the grace of God’s today, certainly our desired turnaround shall be delivered to us and we shall become truly unstoppable in Jesus Name.

PRAYER
Lord, please grant me the grace to always diligently study Your Word so that I can receive strength for supernatural progress. Thank You for destroying every form of stagnation in my life. Indeed, in this new month, I am moving forward to become a wonder to my generation in Jesus’ Name.

MAY 1; THE GRACE TO DO WONDERS

2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” ’

DAILY READING ; • John 7:25-52; 1 Chronicles 29; Zechariah13

This month the nation of Israel celebrates 73 years of their independence.
The independence of modern Israel was an answer to prayers and a dream come true.

For 2000 years, the Jews were wanderers among the nations. They were attacked and scattered from their homeland by the Roman army in AD 70 . Thereafter, they were forced into years of long exile, however in all their ordeal, the Jewish people remained faithful to the dream of returning to their own homeland one day.
They never ceased to pray and hope for their return and restoration of their national freedom.

Over the centuries, attempts to go back to their homeland were resisted by the Arabs who had taken over their territories.
However, the killing of 6 million Jews in the Holocaust ignited the desperate desire to return to their homeland. The fact that no single country was willing to give the Jews a home, made urgent the need for a Jewish state.

Following World War II, hundreds of thousands of Jews tried to return to Israel, but the British government in control of Palestine at the time refused them entrance.

However these Jews found other ways to migrate to Palestine. Despite restrictions, waves of Jewish immigration to the Land of ancient Israel continued secretly, as the Jews slowly regained control of the region.

The Long awaited opportunity to have their own state came in the month of May 1948, as the British rule in Palestine expired.
On May 14, 1948, the eve of Britain’s departure, David Ben Gurion declared the establishment of the State of Israel at a ceremony in Tel Aviv.
There was immense joy all over the Jewish world at this news.
However, the next day, the new state was invaded by the armies of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq.
In the ensuing war of independence, the Jews were eventually victorious.
They not only defeated their enemies but also expanded their territory in the process.
This marked the beginning of a new Jewish nation that is today a leader in many fields and respected among the nations.
Since its establishment, the hand of God has indeed distinguished Israel and turned the tiny Jewish nation into a sign and wonder to the world

The Jew’s Long awaited opportunity for a new beginning came in the month of May.
Interestingly the month of May is a month of new beginnings in nature, which sees new births in animals and new bloom in plants.
It is a month when renewal is brought to the earth.

May is the fifth month and the number 5 symbolizes God’s grace, goodness and favor.
By definition the word “May” means possibility; opportunity or permission; or to express wish or prayer.
By implication therefore, this month of May will be a month of possibility and opportunity.
In this month of May God will enable us to access doors of breakthrough that have not been accessible before. In this season, God is giving us leverage in the spirit realm to be bold, to step out and take new territories.
God’s sufficient grace has been made available for us through the Blood of Jesus.
No matter how uncertain global situations may seem currently, let us be assured that we have been granted the grace to shine as light in the midst of the darkness.
And because, the path of the just is as a shinning light that shines brighter and brighter, things can only keep getting better for us.

Certainly, God will go before us to make every crooked path straight.

In Isaiah 45;2 God says ‘I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron’

Indeed by the Blood of Jesus, throughout this month of May, we shall enjoy divine speed and supernatural favor because of God’s grace.
it is our season to see exploits, miracles, signs and wonders.

It is a month of divine opportunities. Doors shall be opening for us into new amazing levels.
We will be engraced by the Spirit of God to exceed expectations and indeed be a sign and wonder to all..
Let us therefore, begin to move by faith, believing God for unprecedented opportunities and breakthroughs.
Certainly, by the power in the Blood of Jesus nothing shall stop us from experiencing the grace and glory God has ordained for us in this season.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You because I know that through the Blood of Jesus this month shall be an amazing month of divine grace for me. Indeed I shall be experiencing new dimensions of supernatural favour and breakthroughs that will turn me into a wonder in Jesus Name.
