FEBRUARY 26; TIME TO IMPACT THE WORLD.

Daniel 12:3 ‘And they that be wise shall be shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.’

DAILY READING; Mark 7:14-37; Samuel 18; Daniel 11:21-45

John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church, was one of England’s greatest spiritual leaders. He played a major role in the 18th-century revival in England.
Though he was small in physical size, Wesley was a spiritual giant who burned with the zeal to bring multitudes into God’s kingdom.
He traveled the length and breadth of England, preaching, during an age when roads were often only muddy ruts.
Some of the times, preaching was not easy as he often met crowds that were hostile. Once a bull was let loose in an audience he was addressing.
Yet none of the hostilities and oppositions could stop Wesley from pressing forward in his call. He was determined to declare the whole counsel of God, warning men of the dreadful consequences of sin and leading them to salvation..
He dealt with the hindrances to his ministry through prayers. Wesley was known for his lifestyle of fasting and prayers. He would rise up at 4 am every day to seek God for the first four hours of the day.
As he persevered spiritually, soon the power of God that manifested through his ministry, silenced the naysers.
The manifestations of healings, signs and wonders drew people to the Gospel and brought many to repentance..
Wesley marched through cities, preaching, teaching, pleading, and warning men to make peace with God while there was still time.
In all, it is estimated he traveled 226,000 miles in his ministry and preached 46,000 times.
A man of extraordinarily health, he remained active to the end of his life, preaching his final sermon at an open-air meeting just 4 months before his death on March 2, 1791, in London.
Today, tens of millions of people are part of the Christian faith because of the work of Wesley.

With recent escalation of hostilities in Eastern Europe, the world seems poised for a third world war.
We should not be surprised because the Bible has already predicted that towards the time of the end there would be wars and rumours of wars.
The truth is that things are gradually coming to a climax on earth. And for every believer, it can no longer be Christianity as usual, we must do whatever is required to reach the world for Christ while there is still time..
All over the world we can see end-time predictions of the Bible being fulfilled before our very eyes.
In these last days, it is God’s plan that we position ourselves to be used to usher as many souls as possible into His kingdom..
We just have a narrow window of opportunity to fulfill the great commission before every door, finally shuts permanently. Let us not therefore squander the grace available to us at this hour.
Let us do all we should, while we still can, to preach the Word of life to a dying world.

In Mark 16, Jesus commanded us to go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. It is not an option, it is a commandment. It means we are mandated to preach to every one we can while we can.
To this end, there is a need for us to grow spiritually because we can’t give what we don’t have. We must be revived before we can revive others. We must be on fire before we can ignite the world.
Let us therefore today, receive the grace for renewed fire on our prayer altar, diligent study of God’s Word and unbroken fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Whatever we do, wherever we go, let us keep burning with the fire and fervency of the Gospel. Let us keep shinning the light of Christ into the world to draw men into God’s kingdom. As we do this, God promises to establish us as stars that will shine forever. (Daniel 12:3)

PRAYER; Lord, Please enable me to obey the great commission and preach the Gospel with boldness. Please grant me renewed appetite for Your Word, so that I will always burn with the fervency and zeal to spread the Gospel wherever I go in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING • • Mark 7:1-13; 2 Samuel 17; Daniel 11:1-19

The miracles that occurred in Charles Parham’s ministry are too numerous to record. Multiplied thousands found salvation, healing and deliverance.
Yet, this great ministry almost never took off, because Charles Parham became weary at some point.
From early childhood, it seemed Parham’s life moved from one trouble to another.
When only six months, he was stricken with a fever that left him bedridden. And then for the next five years of his life, he was plagued with dramatic spasms. At the tender age of seven, his mother died and by nine years old he contracted inflammatory rheumatism. The strong medications he had to take destroyed the lining of his stomach causing his growth to become stunted for a while. However, despite all these afflictions, Parham had an early awareness of God. At the tender age of nine years, he felt God call him to ministry and so he began to prepare himself by studying God’s Word and praying.
When he entered college at age sixteen, Parham had every intention of entering the ministry. But perhaps, wearied by the many trials he had already faced, Parham eventually abandoned his ministry calling and began to backslide.
However as he pursued a medical course in the college he soon contracted rheumatic fever. After suffering for months, a doctor pronounced him close to death.
In that dying moment Parham began to call upon God in repentance.
As he accepted to fully follow God’s will for his life, he became healed.
Parham immediately entered into full time ministry and held his first evangelistic meeting at the age of eighteen. From then on, there were extraordinary manifestations of power in his ministry. Charles F. Parham would become a key figure in the spread of Pentecostalism in the 20th century and was known as the ‘father of the Pentecostal’ Movement.

Sometimes, we don’t recognize that there’s grace over our lives because of the many battles we have to fight. But the presence of trouble does not mean the absence of the Lord.
When God calls you to an assignment, He is also there to see you through.
As long as Jesus is in your boat, no matter how terrible the storm, you will surely get to the other side.
This is why we must not get weary or stop our journey half way.
Jesus is called the author and the finisher of our faith. What He begins in us He is also able to accomplish. Indeed what He ‘Alphas’ in our lives, He is also able to ‘Omega’ it.
He not only gives us the grace to start, He also gives us the grace to finish.
Tests and trials are only life’s examinations that every serious believer must pass through at some point.
Though, it can be tempting to give in to weariness and choose to follow the “easier” path of compromise, we can always count on God’s sufficient grace to carry us through. God’s grace begins where our ability ends.

2 Corinthians 12:9, says “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness…”

The word “sufficient” means adequate for every scenario.
This means that there’s no situation in our lives that grace can’t handle.
It doesn’t matter how formidable the trouble, God is able to make all grace abound towards you, so that you having all sufficiency in all things might be able to overcome.
Though you may sometimes go through fiery trials, as long as you remain connected to the Fountain of living waters, your leaf will not wither. You will keep growing from strength to strength.
Come hell or high water, you will surely emerge triumphant.
If the odds seem against you, do not try to go on your own strength, rather tap into God’s sufficient grace through prayer, worship and study of the Word.
Indeed when we rely on God’s grace, that is when we are at our strongest.
Today, if you are being tempted with discouragement, always remember that the greater One lives in you.
Regardless of what you’re going through, stand your ground and do not compromise.
Let the Word of God be your strength and standard. When you maintain a consistent prayer, worship and study life, there will be hidden strength within you.
Through the faith that comes from the Word you will certainly, always overcome the world.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to tap into Your sufficient grace through spending quality time in fellowship with You.
No matter any difficulty I may face, I know that surely by Your grace I will always overcome in Jesus Name.

FEBRUARY 24; FROM BREAKDOWN TO BREAKTHROUGH!

Mark 11:24 ‘Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.’

Reinhard Bonnke, is regarded as the father of modern-day crusades in Africa. It is estimated that over 79 million people converted to Christianity as a result of his ministry.
However, just before the take-off of his massive crusades across Africa, Bonnke faced financial constraints. He couldn’t afford the tent he needed for the crusades.
When he first ordered the fabric for the tent he needed to pay $750,000, but had only $350,000.
After depositing what he had, he signed a contract with the sellers for payment of the balance.
Not long after that, he received a telephone call from the sellers demanding another $150,000 within two weeks or the deal would be cancelled.
Bonnke didn’t have the money and he had a principle not to ask anyone for money to run the ministry. Rather if there was a need he would take the matter and hand it over to God.
And so he went the Lord in prayers. He kept praying, as the days ticked by, and the deadline drew closer.
He decided to walk by faith rather than panic. Then two days before the deadline, the telephone rang in the morning. When Bonnke answered the phone, a man said, “I can’t sleep at night.” When asked why, the man replied, “The last three to four nights, I close my eyes and see your face. I hear a voice saying, ‘Pastor Bonnke urgently needs money.'”
Bonnke replied, “God knows that is so.”
And so this caller, as prompted by God transferred to the ministry’s account that very day the needed amount of $150,000.
Through prayer Reinhard Bonnke overcame this challenge that confronted him at beginning of his crusades and was used by God to do exploits across Africa.

When David was about to step into the fullness of his destiny as the anointed king over all Judah and Israel, he faced a battle at the Valley of Rephaim, which means “giants.” Many years earlier, he had killed Goliath in that valley. But now he faced a greater battle.
David prayed to God and obtained divine direction, then he led his army against the Philistines, and gained a complete victory over them. David renamed the valley of giants and called it Baal-perazim, which means “the God of the breakthrough.”
Truly, the closer you are to stepping into your greater destiny, the more the giants you will face. These could be giants of financial problems, health challenges, and oppositions etc.
But through God’s divine help, what was meant to be a breakdown can be converted to your breakthrough.
However, to see victory, you have to be aggressive in engaging God’s Word, fervent prayers and warfare praise. Nothing is going to happen outwardly, until you begin to move things in the realm of the spirit.
Today, there may be things God has called you to do and there are all manner of resistances that seem to make it difficult to carry out.
But as you pray to God in secret, He knows how to outwardly organize the miracles you need.
Your dreams may look impossible, but as you keep praying, the God of open Heavens will work behind the scenes, to arrange things in your favor
In an instant His favor can overtake you and bring the needed resources. In an instant, He can open the right door and bring the destiny helpers that will take you to the next level.
Prayer is the platform for provoking such divine interventions. So why worry, when you can pray?
God has called us unto glory and virtue, and not to shame. You are not meant to be stranded. Thing are meant to always work for you.
But success is not accidental. It is the result of deliberately assuming spiritual responsibility.
As we do, we will soon be overtaken and overwhelmed by God’s miracles of breakthroughs, open Heavens and divine turnarounds.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for granting me the grace to become spiritually responsible. Surely, as I pay the price of engaging Your Word, prayer and praise, I shall see inexplicable miracles of open Heavens in this season in Jesus’ Name.

FEBRUARY 23; TRIUMPHING THROUGH THE BLOOD.

1 Corinthians 15:57 ‘But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.’

DAILY READING; • Mark 6:1-29; 2 Samuel 15; Daniel 9

Demos Shakarian is the founder of Full Gospel Businessmen fellowship International. In his book ‘The Happiest People on Earth’ he shared the amazing miracle of his sister’s healing.
One morning Demos received the news that his sister, Florence had been in a terrible accident.
On reaching the Hospital, he was shown X rays of her left hip and pelvis that had been crushed in the accident. But there wasn’t much the doctors could do because the massive burns she had suffered, prevented them from operating to set the broken bones.
Days after, when the burns still would not permit an operation, their Church declared a day-long fast.
Demos then went to see a great man of God named Charles Price who was in a nearby town holding a tent meeting. Demos pleaded with him to come and pray for his sister.
Arriving at the hospital, Dr. Price took a bottle of oil from his pocket and anointed Florence and prayed for her healing.
At that moment they felt the presence of God invade the room. Afterwards, Florence whispered to Demos ‘Jesus healed me’.
The next morning Demos received a call from the doctors asking him to immediately come down to the hospital. When he got there, the X-ray room was jammed with doctors, nurses and lab technicians. Pinned against a lighted screen were Florence’s former X-ray plates that showed her crushed and dislocated left hip and pelvis. But an eighth slide, taken that morning, showed a pelvis that was normal in every respect. It appeared as if the solid bone had never been injured. Florence’s crushed bones had miraculously been restored without any surgery.
The medical team could not believe their eyes. Through the power of God, Florence had been miraculously healed.

At Calvary, Jesus paid a great price to ensure that nothing cuts short our lives and our destinies prematurely.
It doesn’t matter what the facts or the experts may say, there is healing and deliverance available to us through the mighty power of God.
God sent His Word to heal us and deliver us from destructions. From the Scriptures we understand that Redemption has re-positioned us for eternal victory over every afflictions of life.
The circumstances and diagnoses notwithstanding, God’s Word says we are overcomers through the Blood of the Lamb.
Therefore we must determine to believe the report of the Lord instead of the report of the world.
As believers, we have been destined for a life of miracles and wonders in our health, finances and family and all that concerns us.
Therefore we cannot afford to live in defeat and oppression, when deliverance power is available.. Do not fold your hands and limit yourself by what the medical or financial reports says. You can have a change of story by engaging the power of God’s Word.
Truly, every harassment of the enemy can be stopped, when you arise in faith and begin to engage our spiritual weapons of warfare in battle.
Today, no matter the challenge, be assured that Jehovah alone has the final say..And there is no impossible case with Him.
Christ has already paid for every negative condition in the fullest and to the outermost and the benefit has legally been credited in our favour. We now have the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us.
1 Corinthians 15:57 says ‘But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.’

Certainly, through Christ, we now have all it takes to always triumph and live in power and dominion.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You that it is my season to experience open Heavens, miracles, signs and wonders. I receive today the grace for in-depth study of Scriptures so that I can gain access into the full benefits of redemption in Jesus Name.

FEBRUARY 22; YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE!

Job 8:7-9 [NKJV] ‘Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.’

DAILY READING – Mark 5:21-43; 2 Samuel 14; Daniel 8.

Asa Alonzo Allen was perhaps one of the most important revivalists to emerge during the Voice of Healing revival and was certainly the most sensational of his time.
What makes A.A Allen’s success in ministry all the more amazing is the negative childhood he had to overcome.
Allen was born to alcoholic parents who were wild drunks, and for entertainment gave their kids alcohol and watched them get drunk. Allen’s mother put home brew in his baby bottle to keep him from crying, and he was smoking before he was old enough to go to school.
Allen’s home was not a happy one. When Allen was only four years old, his mother left his father to marry another abusive, alcoholic. Allen eventually ran away from home when he was fourteen years old.
However, he continued to drink heavily and by the time Allen was twenty-one, his health had badly deteriorated. His body shook constantly, he suffered memory loss and was beginning to die like an old man. Hoping to restore his health, he returned home to the farm where his mother still lived. The two of them soon slipped into their old ways of stilling their own liquor and hosting wild parties. Their regular Saturday night shindig became known as the “Allen Dance Hall and Still.”
However they had a neighbor who was a Pentecostal preacher who was starting a Holy Ghost revival in his home. This pastor found Allen’s party such a disturbance, that he and his flock started to pray that the Lord would arrest him.
Soon after that Allen was passing a Methodist church when the singing and dancing attracted him. When he went inside, the power of God arrested him and he gave his life to Christ. From that moment, the wild parties and drinking stopped.
Alllen became acquainted with the pastor and congregation that had been praying for him, and became committed in serving God.
Despite the enemy’s attempt to derail Allen from birth, God’s will prevailed and he eventually became a great revivalist whose worldwide ministry impacted millions of lives for Christ.

Great destinies attract great battles. And sometimes the fight starts right from the womb.
You have to understand that some of the negative circumstances that came against you early in life, were not haphazard occurrences, rather they were strategic attacks of the enemy aimed at aborting the seed of greatness God placed in you.
The intensity of the attacks is often an indication of how important you are in God’s plan because the enemy only fight what he fears.
But no matter what you had to face, always remember that your destiny is in God’s Hands not in the hands of any man.
And despite the negative circumstances, God has a way of initiating a course correction that still locates you in His glorious plan. He knows how to appoint midwives in the path of your destiny that will help birth the seed of greatness embedded in you.
God is able to cause those negative circumstances arrayed against you to backfire and rather end up pushing you forward in life.

Though you may have been raised around dysfunction, that can not stop you from excelling in life. Out of the ashes, God is still able to bring forth beauty.
It is easy to think that if you had better education, parents, relatives, or born under better circumstances, your life would have been better. But it is God’s grace that makes great and when you connect to it you become unstoppable in life’s race.
The truth is that you will never need more than God to succeed in life .
Christ in you is the hope of glory.
As you remain connected to Christ through a deep spiritual walk of obeying His Word and fervent prayers, the lines will eventually fall for you in pleasant places. What was meant for evil will turn around for your good.
If you will forget those things that are behind and keep reaching forward to the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, God will open for you doors no man can shut. God will break through generational barriers and turn a “no way” into a highway for you! He will grant you divine speed to overtake even those who seemed better advantaged and ahead of you. Certainly, it doesn’t take time, it only takes God. And through His divine help, though your beginning was small, your later end shall greatly increase!

PRAYER: Father, by Your grace, I will keep rising higher despite the situations that try to bring me down. I thank You for turning around every negative situation in my life, and establishing Your glorious plan for me in Jesus Name.

FEBRUARY 21; HAND OVER THE BATTLE TO GOD..

2 Chronicles 20:17 ‘Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you,”

DAILY READING –Mark 5:1-20; 2 Samuel 13; Daniel 7

By 1948, Israel lacked a proper army of its own. Yet they were determined to fight for their independence from the Arabs. All the Jews had was a fledging underground military organization called ‘The Haganah’ which was woefully ill prepared for the impending battle with the well trained Arab military.
The prospect was more frightening for the Jews as no other nation was willing to help them. Yet,, the Jews believed God was on their side and would see them through. And so by 3:30pm on Friday, May 14, 1948, Jewish leaders gathered at the Tel Aviv Museum to declare the new state of Israel.

Immediately after, by the next day, the Arab nations attacked them, intent on annihilating the new Jewish state. But on various fronts of the war Israel saw divine help.
One of the miracles of deliverance took place when Israeli farmers living in a farming community known as a kibbutz were suddenly attacked by greater Syrian forces with two hundred armored Syrian vehicles including forty-five tanks. Though greatly outnumbered and without proper weapons, these famers quickly assembled two ancient French cannons that they had and began to use them against the Syrians’ more modern and better equipped cannons and mortars.
These Israeli farmers also began to throw bottles of molotov cocktails at the Syrians. Surprisingly, an Israeli man made a direct hit on an approaching Syrian tank. As the tank burst into flames, suddenly the entire Syrian column turned around and began to flee, possibly believing that the Israelis had anti-tank weapons.
Inexplicably, the Syrians fled leaving behind weapons that the Jews quickly took over and utilized in the battle. Thus, miraculously, the Kibbutz was preserved.
Within six weeks of the independence war, Israel was able to turn the tables on their enemies, capturing more territories and emerging victorious at last.

When it’s your season to enjoy financial independence or open Heavens, the enemy would often organize an attack. Great and effectual Open doors often attract many adversaries.
But thank God for causing us to triumph always through Christ..

In Joshua 24, the Israelites were up against seven nations that were bigger and stronger than them. These nations had more equipment and more training. The Israelites didn’t stand a chance against them. How did God get rid of these seven powerful nations? God sent insects against them. He said in Joshua 24:12 ‘And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you..’

Also in 2 kings 7, God amplified the footsteps of the four lepers such that the Syrian army became afraid. 2 Kings 7:6-7 says ‘For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host:’ and because of the noise they heard, the Syrian army arose and left their tents, and fled for their lives.
Indeed God can use any means to bring deliverance to His people. He can use options we never even considered.
As long as you are sincerely serving God, be assured that whatever it takes, God is committed to your victory. And He can use anything to accomplish it. Therefore quit worrying about how everything is going to turn out. God is in control. Just focus on going deeper in your relationship with God and keep praising Him.
In Isaiah 37, King Hezekiah was being attacked the Assyrian army greater than his own army. The Assyrian king had sent a blasphemous message that had thrown King Hezekiah into great distress of mind and profound dismay. And so Hezekiah went into the temple and spread the letter before God. Faced with an enemy and situation he could not handle, he cried out to God for help. In answer, God sent an angel that went into the camp of the Assyrians and killed 185,000 soldiers overnight. When the Assyrians arose early the next morning, behold, there were many dead bodies. The remaining soldiers fled. Later on, the king of Assyria himself was also killed, bringing to an end all his threats and oppression against King Hezekiah and his people.

Certainly, when God arises for our help, no matter how greater the opposition may appear, our victory is always assured.
Perhaps, today, a king of Assyria may be threatening you in your finances, business, health, marriage, etc. Just like Hezekiah did, take that matter confronting you to God in prayer and trust Him to show up for your deliverance. Prayer triggers the intervention of the Omnipotent God. There is no situation that comes against you today that cannot be handled with prayers. Having come out from a season of fasting and prayers, let us therefore be assured of God’s speedy intervention in our affairs.
As we continue to draw closer to Him through a lifestyle of ceaseless prayers, study of the Word and praise, God will take over our battles. We shall not need to fight, rather we will only stand still, and see the amazing salvation of the LORD.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for arising for my deliverance and causing me to see Your salvation in amazing ways. Thank You, Lord, for continually giving me the victory and making me a conqueror in every situation in Jesus’ Name.

FEBRUARY 20; STAY ON HIGHER GROUNDS.

Isaiah 57:15 ‘For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.’

DAILY READING – • Mark 4:21-41; 2 Samuel 11-12; Daniel 6

The highest city in the world with a population of more than one million, is La Paz, the Capital of Bolivia. It sits 3,869 meters above sea level. Because of its great height, it has what is known globally as ‘Death Road’ or ‘the world’s most dangerous road’. This is a very narrow and steep road that connects La Paz to the Yungas region, in the northeast of Bolivia.
The great altitude of La Paz results in a cool climate in the city. At 3500m above sea level, La Paz has one of the coolest temperatures of any capital city.
The very cool temperature of La Paz is because of what is known geographically as temperature inversion. This happens when sun rays hit the earth’s surface and produces heat. But as this heat rises from the earth’s surface it loses its hotness as it goes higher up. So while the air on the lower grounds are hot, the air on the higher grounds remain cool. Thus temperatures on mountainous cities are generally cooler than temperatures on lower grounds. Temperature inversion says that with every 1 km one moves above sea level, temperature decreases by 1ºC.
This is why people in the higher areas of the earth enjoy generally lower temperatures than people on the low lying areas.

Indeed it is a known fact that the higher you go the cooler it becomes.
The same can be said spiritually. Our lives become cooler and free from heat when we learn to rise higher in the place of prayer. When you live above, it becomes harder for the heat of harassment, problems and troubles from below to reach you.
Therefore to live victorious we must seek the higher life of prayer.

Isaiah 57:15 says ‘For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.’

When we go higher spiritually, we dwell in the high and holy place of intimacy with God where we enjoy continual spiritual revival and victory.

Jesus has asked us to rise and pray so that we do not enter into temptation. So rising in prayer is an escape from the temptations and demonic manipulations that plague people who dwell on spiritual lower grounds.
Sin is a sinker that keeps men bound to the ground, but through prayer we arise above its shackles and bondages. The more we pray the more we move from the lower life of the flesh to the higher life of the Spirit.

Proverbs 15:24 says ‘The way of life is above to the wise that he might depart from hell beneath.’

God is calling us today to rise to that higher life.
Having just come out from a season of fasting and praying, spiritually we have risen higher. But we must endeavor not to reduce our spiritual tempo. We must keep moving higher by keeping to a lifestyle of continuous prayer, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit.
Such a prayerful lifestyle is a necessity for every believer who will be victorious in these end-tines. The more we pray, the more we will rise above the heat and harrasments of the enemy and remain seated with Christ in Heavenly places. Indeed we will operate far above principalities and powers and enjoy continual victory in all life’s conflicts.

PRAYER: Father please grant me the grace to maintain a high spiritual tempo and always arise in the place of prayer. Please destroy every spiritual weakness that tries to keep me on the floor. Indeed by Your Grace it is my season to ride upon my high places in life in Jesus Name.

FEBRUARY 19; GOD IS A REWARDER!

Hebrews 11:6 ‘But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.’

DAILY READING; Mark 4:1-20; 2 Samuel 9-10; Daniel 5

Dr. Harry Ironside has been called “America’s most popular expositor and the archbishop of fundamentalism. He stands out as one of the greatest Christian leaders of the 19th century..
Yet, interestingly, he was someone who was not supposed to have survived at birth. On October 14, 1876, when Harry Ironside was born, the attending physician pronounced him dead and laid him aside to attend to his mother. But 40 minutes later a startled nurse detected signs of pulse in the dead baby and plunged him into a hot bath, from which he emerged alive and healthy.
His father died when he was only a toddler and his family suffered great poverty, yet this poor boy from the backside of a desert, was raised to prominence through abiding faith in God.
At 14 years old Harry accepted Christ as his Saviour, and after he finished with grammar school, hiis only desire was to tell others of Christ.
For a while he worked with the Salvation Army, testifying and singing in their meetings and became known as “The Boy Preacher of Los Angeles.”
At 22 years old, Harry Ironside stepped out by faith into fulltime ministry, and began preaching wherever he had opportunity—on street corners, in missions, in the desert towns.
Supported by no organization, he learned of absolute dependence upon God for every need. One night, he had no single money left on him, but he prayed and told God he needed 40 cents for food the next day. Then, he went out to preach on a street corner. After his message two men followed him and spoke to him. As they left they shook hands with him. In his palm when he opened it were three dimes and two nickels!
A life of prayers and diligent study of God’s Word, eventually made him to become one of the most capable and prominent preachers and spiritual giant of his generation. He was pastor of Chicago’s famous moody memorial church and was a prolific writer, whose books positively affected many lives for Christ.

A life of prayer will always turn things around.
2 Chronicles 16:9 says that God’s eyes are searching to and fro over the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those that trust in Him.
When our hope is in God, despite the disadvantages of life, He will give us a divine turnaround.
It can be tempting to fret and worry over our future, especially when there seems to be no human helper, but when we diligently seek God, He will become our Helper, our Source and Sustainer.
God is the One that gives meaning to our lives. In Genesis 1, in the beginning Life had no meaning, everything was void, dark and in confusion, but as soon as God stepped in, Heaven and earth began, everything was formed. Our lives can never remain void, when God steps into our affairs.
God is the Hope of the hopeless, and He wants us to depend on Him at every crossroad in life. It can be easy to make projections based on our own strength or human connections.. But while the arm of flesh will often fail,
God’s faithfulness never fails.
Certainly, with God on our side, we will never be stranded or suffer stagnation in life.
Having come to the end of our days of fasting and praying today, we have to trust that we have indeed engaged God’s divine help in our affairs.
Because He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, surely it is our season of open rewards. Therefore, let us keep praising God for what He is set to do.
Our season of fasting and prayer will surely culminate in our rise to new levels in destiny and opening of a new chapter in our lives. Certainly, God will take us from the back to the front, from pain to power and from obscurity to prominence. Surely, He will take us from sorrow to joy, from sickness to health and from weakness to a life of faith, peace and joy.,

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to know that You are always there to deliver me, no matter what I may face in life. Thank You for always answering when I call and causing me to triumph always in all situations in Jesus Name. ….

FEBRUARY 18; PRESSING FORWARD TO VICTORY!

Numbers 23:19 ‘God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?’

DAILY READING – • Mark 3:20-35; 2 Samuel 7-8; Daniel 4

The Moravian Slaves is a popular story about the first Moravian missionaries; Johann Leonhard Dober and David Nitschmann. These two men were part of the Moravian brethren who were a group of firebrand believers who lived in Germany in the 18th century. .
In 1732, Johann and David felt called to minister to the African slaves on the islands of Danish West Indies. But they were told by the government that they would not be allowed to enter the slave territory. They then decided to sell themselves to a slave owner so as to be allowed to travel as slaves to the island.
But this decision was considered absurd and laughable and no ship agreed to transport them.
Though they faced many bitter disappointments yet they remained steadfast in what they were called to do and clung to God’s Word in Numbers 23:19 which says that what God has spoken, He is able to do.
Somehow their mission was brought to the attention of the Dutch queen who graciously assisted them. A ship bound for the West Indies was found for them and these two brethren embarked on their trip to the slave islands.
In spite of the many difficulties and dangers of the journey, they finally arrived on the island of St. Thomas two months later and began preaching to the slaves.
Many of these slaves looked up to the two brethren as teachers sent from God. Their work brought spiritual revival that spread to many people on the island leading to the establishing of churches and baptizing of thousands of new converts.

Despite the oppositions they faced, these two Monrovian brethren pressed forward till they attained their goals.
Likewise, we must be willing to do whatever it takes to obey God and fulfill His purpose for our lives.
There’s a calling upon your life, an assignment that God has ordained for you to accomplish in this generation.
Therefore, never allow any resistance on your way to abort your purpose. Don’t let difficulties cut short the journey to your divine destination.
Those times when it seems things will never work, may just be the very place and time that the tide will turn in your favor. Therefore rather than focus on the problem, learn to focus on the promise. Keep praising God in every situation.
When God gives you a definite Word, you must be prepared to fight the good fight of faith. You must learn to disregard discouragements and persist until you see the manifestation.
God says what He means and He means what He says.
Even if God’s promises appear to be just the opposite of what you see, you must continue to trust in His Word.
Talk faith in the face of fear, talk strength in the face of weakness, declare health in the face of sickness, speak life in the face of death, talk victory in the face of defeat.
Don’t be intimidated by challenges because oftentimes, giants are the first sign that you are on the road to your Canaan.
Always remember that the enemy fights what he fears. The reason why he fiercely resists your progress is to distract you from your divine purpose. But refuse to give up or give in. Continue to diligently seek God’s face through studying the Word, fasting, prayer and praise.
If you keep pressing forward, you will soon see how each goliath on your way has only helped to propel you forward to your throne. Certainly, God, causes all things to work together for our good.
Having paid the price of persistence in prayers and fasting in this season, let us get ready to see the promise of revival and eruption of fire. It is indeed our time to experience mighty manifestations of glory, miracles signs and wonders.
According to Zechariah 9:12, God will give us double for our trouble. Certainly, He will open the Heavens over us and cause His blessings to chase us down and overtake us in every direction.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for the strength and tenacity You have granted me to go through these days of fasting and prayers. Thank You Lord, for Your abundant blessings that are about to overflow my life in Jesus Name.

FEBRUARY 17; MORE THAN A CONQUEROR!

Romans 8:37 ‘Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.’

DAILY READING ; Mark 3:1-19; 2 Samuel 6; Daniel 3.

After beginning his boxing career in 1969, George Foreman quickly rose to become the World Heavy weight champion. But this winning chapter came to an undignified end in 1977, when he suffered a devastating defeat in the rings. After losing this fight, while still in the dressing room, he had a near-death experience that changed his life forever. After almost dying, he began to earnestly seek God and became a Christian.
Soon after, he shocked the boxing community by announcing his retirement from boxing. George later became an ordained minister and for 10 years he worked as an evangelist. He founded the George Foreman Youth and Community Center, where he became a father-figure to many misguided youths. Due to a financial need to keep the center running, on 9th March 1987, George Foreman at 38 years announced he was returning back to boxing.
Being now older and overweight, the audacity of his comeback turned him into a laughing stock as many people believed he could never win a fight.
But despite all the criticism and mockery, Foreman trusted in God’s divine help. When he began boxing again and surprisingly won some of his fights, people finally began to take him seriously.
But in 1994, when Foreman, now 45 years, faced the WBA world champion Michael Moorer, who was 19 years his junior, it was clear he needed a miracle to win.
As the fight commenced on 5th November 1994, at the MGM Grand in Vegas, the younger Moorer, who had quick hands was soon ahead on points. His fast jabs almost rattled the older George Foreman. In total Moorer threw 641 punches compared to Foreman’s 369 punches.
Yet despite all the odds against him, George Foreman had strong faith in God’s ability to turn things around.
In an unexpected move, George knocked out 26-year-old Michael Moorer in the 10th round and won the fight. George Foreman’s victory astounded the boxing world and made him to become the oldest heavyweight championship title holder in world history.

Romans 8:37 ‘Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.’

When God is in your corner, you will win impossible fights.
You will certainly be more than a conqueror in every battle.
By human estimation, an older boxer like George Foreman could not have defeated a much younger and stronger fighter like Moorer. But through divine help, Foreman broke the limits and did the incredible.
Through redemption, every believer is positioned for constant victory. It doesn’t matter how great the fight, we are ordained to triumph always through Christ.
It is our portion to be the head and never the tail; above only and never beneath.
If you feel unqualified, remember that God uses the weak to confound the wise.
Though we may sometimes face overwhelming challenges, through Christ we can do all things.
In Revelation 22:16 Jesus declared ‘I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star’
So, if Jesus came as the bright and morning star, then we are ordained to be stars on the earth.
Every redeemed soul is a potential star.
The light of Christ shinning through us cannot be overcome by the darkness in the world.
As long as you are born of God, you are born to win. Therefore, defeat should never be part of your vocabulary. Failure should never be part of your options. We serve the God who never fails and He is committed to always giving us the victory.
Having spent many days of praying and fasting, we are now empowered to win every battle that comes our way
We have indeed entered our season of breakthroughs and open Heavens in all our endeavors.
Having waited upon the Lord, it is time to mount up with wings as eagles. It is our season of victory over longstanding issues and time to bring down the head of the goliath that has been hindering our enthronement.
Let us therefore begin to take steps of faith and move forward, boldly claiming our victory over every opposition. Certainly, though Christ we have been empowered to arise above limitations and attain to great heights this year.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for empowering me to be more than a conqueror over life’s battles. By Your grace I shall emerge the victor not the victim in every challenge. Thank You Lord for giving me constant victory throughout this year in Jesus Name.
