Harry Truman was the only American president of the 20th century who did not have a university education. However, he had a secondary school education that placed great focus on study of the Bible and ancient history. It was said he had read the Bible through three times before age fourteen.
His understanding of history and of the Bible positioned him to play a key role in the establishment of the modern nation of Israel.
In 1948, as the Jews made plans to announce their new nation, they needed America’s backing. As president of America at the time, Harry Truman made the decision to support Israel. But his decision was met with strong oppositions from many powerful figures in the American government, who did everything to stop the president’s recognition of Israel. But Truman withstood the pressures because of his Biblical convictions..
On Friday, May 14, 1948 the new state of Israel which would be the first Jewish state in nearly two thousand years–was declared in Jerusalem. Eleven minutes later at the White House, the U.S announced de facto recognition of Israel. This was received with joy by Jews all across the world and they expressed their gratitude to Truman for what he had done.
When the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Isaac Halevi Herzog, called at the White House, he told Truman, ‘God put you in your mother’s womb so you would be the instrument to bring the rebirth of Israel after two thousand years.’
As he said this, tears began running down the President’s cheeks. Also in 1961, in New York, David Ben-Gurion, who was the first Prime Minister of Israel told Truman that his courageous decision to quickly recognize the new state of Israel had given him an immortal place in Jewish history. Again tears sprang to Truman’s eyes. He was always moved by the fact that he had been able to do the right when he had the opportunity.

Mordecai said to Esther —“Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”(Esther 4:14).
Each of us has been divinely assigned to special tasks in God’s kingdom even before our birth..
God said to Jeremiah “Before you were born, I knew you and called you to be a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5).
As believers in these last days, we are called, chosen and anointed for strategic roles in the establishment of God’s kingdom on the earth.
We are people of destiny, set apart for God’s divine purpose in these end times.
Though your current situation may look like you will never rise above average or achieve anything great, God has brought you to earth at this particular time to accomplish something significant.
Don’t let anyone or anything convince you otherwise. You are not ordinary, you are part of the elite Joel’s company that will take the world by storm. Certainly, God has saved the best for the last. As an end time saint, God has placed divine grace, giftings, talents and abilities in you that you may not even be aware of.
The truth is that, many believers today, are living ordinary lives of vain and mundane pursuits, oblivious to the extraordinary plans God has for them.
This is why it is important to diligently study the Word and maintain fervent spiritual lives, so that we can understand our times and seasons and quickly recognize divine opportunities and embrace them.
Wherever we go, whatever we do, let us always be conscious of the fact that we have been born for such a time as this. We have been assigned to earth at this particular time for the divine purpose of expanding God’s kingdom.
At every level of life and with every position we are given, we are to continually seek first the promotion of God’s kingdom. As we do, certainly, all other things shall be added unto us.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to be sensitive to Your timing and purpose for my life. Help me to draw closer to You, so that I can be en-graced and empowered to accomplish Your assignment for me in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; John 10:22-42; 2 Chronicles 9; Psalm 74

Mojtaba Hosseini was once one of the leaders of a secret growing house church movement in Iran. But, he was arrested as a “threat against national security,” and put in a notorious prisoner, in the same block with murderers, robbers and drug dealers.
Rather than be sad, Hosseini soon believed that God allowed him to come to the prison to shine the light of the Gospel in the prevalent darkness.
He then began to look at the desperate prisoners around him with a new set of eyes, as God sees them.He saw poor people, people who had committed the worst crimes and felt hopeless and alone.
Ordinarily, it would have been impossible for him to be allowed by the Islamic authorities to evangelize to the prisoners but Hosseini realized that God allowed him to be arrested and brought inside the prison to reach those lost men.
He then began to share the gospel of Jesus Christ among his fellow prisoners and gradually the men began to respond. Hosseini never prayed for God to release him, rather his focus was to accomplish the purpose for which he had been sent there.
As he continued to preach, more and more prisoners gave their lives to Christ. Instead of seeing his stay in prison as punishment, he faced it with joy, knowing that God’s will was being accomplished.
After three years in prison, Hosseini was finally released in 2015 and moved to another country, where he continues to use every opportunity to serve God and spread the good news of the Gospel.

James 1:2-4 tells us to count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations. Why? Because we have a victorious destiny in Christ:
Sometimes in life, we may face unjust situations, disappointments, challenges and overwhelmed by the many different trials that come our way. But we should react to them through faith in God’s word, knowing that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him.
God knows every setback and challenge you have ever had to face. And He sometimes allows the storms as part of the process of making you stronger. Therefore quit focusing on the trials that come your way, rather use every such opportunity to go deeper in your relationship with God. Use the time to go deeper in prayers, study of the Word and worshipping God. No matter how difficult the road may be, the most important thing is to always ensure we are in the will of God, and not that we are suffering as a consequence of sin or ignorance. When we are in God’s will, His grace will always be sufficient for us.
We therefore praise God as our expression of our confidence in His ability to deliver us.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says ‘ In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.’

In spite of how things may seem, we keep choosing to be grateful, because we know that God is in control. What the enemy meant for evil, God is able to turn it all around for our good. The very thing the enemy thinks will steal our joy, should be the very reason why we praise God, because when we are thankful, it opens the door for God to do miracles, signs and wonders.
In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were about to be executed, they were in the mid-night of their lives. But they prayed and sang praises aloud to God in the prison, God showed up and brought amazing deliverance to them.

There is no mountain that God’s presence cannot level and no sea that He cannot dry up. Therefore in everything let us keep giving Him thanks, because His grace and mercy will always carry us through to victory.

PRAYER: Lord i thank You because no matter what I may face I know You are able to see me through. Even right now, I know that You are turning things around for my good in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING – – John 10:1-21; 2 Chronicles 8; Psalm 73

Open Doors USA is a Christian organization that monitors persecution of Christians in the world’s most oppressive countries.
On March 1, 2017 they featured the story of a Syrian man named Meghrik, who had a miraculous escape from the terrorist group, ISIS.
Though born into a Christian home Meghrik had grown up and rejected his parents teaching and stopped being a Christian.
One day, a friend of his challenged him about his unbelief and told him to ask God to do something that would proof His existence to him.
A month later, Meghrik got into a bus full of travelers on the way from Aleppo, Syria to the smaller city Al-Qamishli in the far northeast of the country.
After some hours, they approached a checkpoint controlled by fighters of Islamic State. Three of the terrorists entered the bus and began to check the passengers’ ID cards. When they took Meghrik’s ID card and saw his name, they accused him of being a Christian. Though he denied it, they took him down from the bus and allowed the other passengers to continue their trip.
Meghrik was paralyzed by fear, knowing the reputation of ISIS.
After examining him, they told him he had been sentenced to death and was thrown into a room that served as his prison cell. Hours later, he was driven to an open area with dugout graves and was pushed into one of the graves. Soon Meghrik heard the sound of loading weapons as they prepared to shoot him. But in those last moments, as tears ran down his cheeks, he suddenly, remembered his friend’s challenge to pray and ask God to prove His existence. So he cried out in the grave to God “If you exist, let me live. Please give me a chance to get to know You,”.
Mistaking his words to mean a desire to convert to Islam, the fighters then brought him out and took him back to the cell. Meghrik knew God had saved him and then began to pray to God to enable him to be totally released.
On the tenth day of his imprisonment, Meghrik was miraculously released and walked out a free man. He knew beyond doubt that God had heard his prayers and truly proved His existence to him.

The story of Meghrik is a picture of how the riches of God’s grace and mercy can show up when least deserved.
Sometimes we may have to deal with the consequences of neglecting our relationships with God. But even at those times, God’s grace and mercy never forsakes us.
At some point in his life, King David fell very low. He was guilty of adultery, deception, and murder. After God forgave and restored him, he wrote in Psalm 40:1-3 [NIV]
“He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord”
Despite his shortcomings, God turned king David’s mess into a message and his greatest test into a testimony.
God’s grace is the bridge that overrides our mistakes and ushers us into a bright new day. No matter how deep the pit, God’s exceeding grace is able to rescue us.
God is too faithful to fail. When we are weak, He is strong and He will never leave us nor forsake us.
We are all products of God’s amazing grace. This is why we must constantly appreciate and celebrate His faithfulness, goodness and mercies in our lives.
However, we must not take God’s grace for granted so that we do not become grounded. We must learn from our mistakes and determine to daily draw strength from God’s Word and walk in line with His will.
Walking outside of God’s will can lead to failures, defeats and tragedies. But when we walk in obedience to His divine instructions, we will see great manifestations of His power in our lives and endeavors. However, while following God sincerely, if for any reason, we miss our steps and cry out to Him, He will surely deliver us from every pit. Anytime we call upon Him, His grace will be sufficient for us, His mercy will cover us and His favour will lift us to greater heights.

PRAYER
Lord, I thank You for always being my ever present help in the time of need. I know that even right now, Your grace and mercy are working in my life to lift me out of every low place and take me to my high places in Jesus’ Name.

Galatians 6:9 ‘And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.’

DAILY READING; – John 9:24-41; 2 Chronicles 7; Malachi 4

John Geddie was the first Presbyterian missionary of Canada.
In 1848, John Geddie got on a ship with his wife and children on a voyage of over 20,000 miles to the South Sea Islands to begin a mission work there.
On their way to the island, John and his wife heard stories of cannibalism which was prevalent on the island.
These stories were enough to have discouraged the missionaries. But they continued on their journey believing that God had sent them there on a mission.
Eleven months after sailing, they came to Aneiteum, a small island at the tip of the New Hebrides Island. When the ship dropped them off and sailed away, John and his family felt for the first time the stern reality of being abandoned in a land surrounded by a barbarous people from whom they had much to fear.
However, John Geddie later wrote in his diary, “we are not alone. We have His promise, at whose command we have come hither, ‘Lo, I am with you alway.'”
And truly, Christ was with them as they embarked on their work.
But despite their efforts, the natives showed little interest in the Gospel. For three years John Geddie labored and taught them yet their wicked practices continued. They considered it proper to eat all enemies taken in war and if a man died, his wife was strangled so that her spirit might accompany him to the next world.
For preaching against their evil practices, the people often attacked John. Sometimes, the natives hurled stones, clubs and spears at him and several times he was hurt. Yet God always spared his life.
Though he faced a very discouraging situation, John continued to rely on the grace of God and pray for the people.
Three years after his arrival, in 1851, things suddenly began to change as several native chiefs converted to Christianity. The Church overflowed with attendance to the point that they even began to send missionaries to other islands!
John Geddie worked for 24 years among the people and when he died in 1872, he left behind a legacy of meeting no Christians when he first came but turning every heathen on the island into a Christian before his death.

Knowing that Jesus had sent him on the mission enabled John Geddie to persist until he had overcome the darkness of the heathen island with the light of God’s Word.
Whatever assignment God has called us to do can be accomplished through persistence and reliance on God’s grace.
Certainly, those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.
No matter how difficult or impossible things may initially see, we must persist in faith, if we want to reap the reward of our labor.
Many of life’s failures are people who gave up before their harvest came. There is a due season for reaping, and we must not faint if we are to access that season.
When it is God’s time to favour us, everything will suddenly turn around and begin working together for our good. This is why we must trust in Him, and wait patiently until our appointed season of harvest comes.
When we keep our eyes on God’s Word and persist in faith, it is only a matter of time before we succeed.
Just like Peter, as long as you can keep your eyes on Jesus, you can walk on the water. The storms will not stop you and the billows will not blow you away.
Therefore, no matter the situation you may face today, always stay strong in faith because there is coming a reaping season. Your labor cannot be in vain. And if you do not faint, surely in due season, you shall reap.
God is in control of your circumstances. Certainly your time is coming. God is a rewarder and as you continue to bless Him in every situation, soon you will see an amazing turnaround and reap a bountiful harvest of all your labor.

PRAYER
Lord, please grant me the grace to persist in faith through diligent study of Your Word. Certainly, I know this is my set time to experience Your grace and favour in all my endeavors in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY READING • John 9:1-23; 2 Chronicles 6; Malachi 2:17-3:18

Wang Ming-Dao was one of the most outstanding Chinese Church leaders of the 20th century.
After converting to Christianity at age 14, Ming-Dao was determined to live up to high standards.
He eventually became a Christian leader and his resolute dedication to God’s Word, attracted many to his ministry. He was known for his utter lack of compromise. During the Japanese occupation of China, after being threatened many times by the Japanese government for his Christian faith, rather than compromise, Ming-Dao ordered himself a coffin to show he was ready to die for his faith.
After World War II, the Communists gained power in China. They arrested Christian leaders who refused to agree with their policies. On August 7, 1954, they arrested Wang Ming-Dao and his wife.
Wang Ming-Dao was sentenced to fifteen years in prison.
However, under intense brainwashing, he finally cracked and compromised the former strong stand for his faith. After signing a confession, he was released. But afterwards he was plagued by the guilt that he had betrayed Christ. He likened himself to Peter and Judas and had no peace. Finally, he and his wife agreed that he must tell the authorities that the statement of compromising his faith had been made under duress and did not represent his true feelings. When he did this, he was immediately returned to prison. He was there for twenty years and his brave wife was also sentenced to prison.
Mrs. Wang was released in 1973 and Ming-Dao in 1980.
Afterwards, they continued to teach God’s Word and maintain their Christian faith. Wang Ming-Dao left a legacy of being one of the most outspoken Christian leaders of his generation. He has been called the “Dean of the Chinese House Churches.’

In Matthew 26:35 Peter told Jesus “Even if it were necessary for me to die with You, I will never deny You.”
Peter meant every word he said. However, just as Jesus had told him, when the time came, Peter denied the Lord three times.
Despite the horrible night of Peter’s failures, the Lord still gave him a new opportunity to do what was right and go on to do greater things.
The truth is that no matter how strong your resolve to live right, the enemy would keep looking for ways to break that resolve.
This is why we must constantly guard our mind with all diligence and keep strengthening our faith through focus on God’s Word.
However, if for any reason, we miss the mark or disappoint God, there’s always mercy and grace available to restore us back. It is never too late to retrace our steps and do the right thing. When we come to God in repentance, He will renew and restore us.
Many people started their Christian race with every intention to live wholly for Christ and maintain high standards. Some used to be firebrands and burned brightly with zeal for the Gospel. But overtime, as they were confronted with the realities of life, the fire began to wane and they lowered their standards.
But no matter how far we may stray, we can always get back on track and once again press forward towards the mark of our high calling in Christ Jesus. We can always take up the cross and continue to follow Christ and pursue the glorious destiny, He has planned for us.
Though the righteous may fall seven times, he gets up again and keeps going forward. [Proverbs 24:16]
Don’t let the enemy trap you in guilt and condemnation. It is never too late with God, His gifts and callings are without repentance. God is full of mercy. When we come to Him in repentance, He is able to forgive us and give us another chance and even turn our mistakes into miracles.
Therefore today, determine to never give up on the high calling and great vision God has ordained for your life.
As we begin to align with God’s will for us, certainly, this will be our season to experience restoration, renewal and realization of the glorious destiny God has in store for us.

PRAYER: Lord, I know You have so much in store for me, no matter the discouragements I may sometimes face, please enable me to always keep pressing forward to the mark of Your high calling for my life in Jesus Name. .

DAILY READING; John 8:48-59; 2 Chronicles 5:2-14; Malachi 2:10-4:7

Evangelical Christians in Romania, as well as many others, endured great suffering under the brutal rule of the communist dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu.
Nicolae Ceaușescu’s policies starved the people. He borrowed heavily from Western countries and was unable to pay off the debts, leading to austerity measures and major financial crisis in the country.
But while the people suffered in poverty, Nicolae Ceaușescu and his wife lived in luxurious conditions, their opulent house even had a bathroom that was gold plated.
Nicolae Ceaușescu’s government also severely persecuted Christians. Many Christian leaders were imprisoned, sent into exile or assassinated and Churches were demolished.
However things began to change after a pastor named László Tőkés was arrested for speaking out against the regime.
On 16 December 1989, the people began to stand up to Nicolae Ceaușescu’s dictatorship as they protested the arrest of pastor László Tőkés. Despite crackdowns against protesters, a few days later, the people booed Nicolae Ceaușescu as he delivered a public speech. From there, riots broke out in the streets of the capital and spread to other cities in the nation. Surprisingly, members of the military switched from supporting the dictator to backing the protesting people.
The rioting forced Nicolae Ceaușescu and his wife to flee the next day, but they were quickly captured, tried, and then executed on Christmas Day 1989.

A time comes when you need to rebel spiritually against the forces trying to oppress and you hold you down.
The Israelites suffered under bondage for 430 years until they started crying out to God and He began to move in signs and wonders for their deliverance.
Though Pharaoh made their bondage more severe, and did all he could to keep the Israelites in suffering and in bondage, on the day God appointed for their freedom, nothing could stop His outstretched arm! Israel’s breakthrough came on the night of the Passover and it changed their world forever.
Over 2000 years ago, God appointed a set time for mankind’s deliverance by sending Jesus to die on the Cross and secure our freedom from every bondage.
The Blood of Jesus has ushered us into a season of freedom, divine health, prosperity, progress, favour and all round blessings. Because of the price He paid we have been set free from afflictions. Therefore you can no longer keep tolerating the oppression of the enemy in any area of your life.
The truth is that if you are not seeing the full benefits of Christ’s redemption, you cannot fold your hands and keep watching the oppressor. You must rebel against his afflictions and bondages and begin to enforce your covenant rights. It is time to reject those negative situations that has been trying to confine you and limit you. You are the child of The King and not a slave, you are meant to be the head and not the tail, you are destined to be above only and never beneath!
However, knowledge of the truth is your ticket to freedom. It is when you know the truth that you shall be set free. This is why we need to constantly upgrade our mindset through diligent study of God’s Word.
In this season, we must make up our minds to live the glorious life Christ has purchased with His Blood. We must stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and refuse to be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. [Galatians 5:1]
Today, as we begin to enforce our spiritual rights, every oppression must come to an end. It is certainly our set time to begin to truly enjoy grace, mercy and all-round favor in all our endeavors.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to break free from every form of bondage and oppression through the understanding of my covenant rights. I especially thank You because my set time has come to enjoy Your amazing grace, mercy and favor in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; John 8:21-47; 2 Chronicles 2:17-5:1; Malachi 1:1-2:9

Brenda Epperson is an American actress and singer, who is known for her Christian faith.
Her acting career began as a result of God’s incredible favor. In her early twenties, while working as a waitress, she sought a career in acting, but had no formal training or acting skills. Yet, trusting God for a miracle, she began seeking out auditions.
As day after day went by and no one called her for any role, she began to press into prayers.
She was amazed when one day she got a call from the major television network, CBS, telling her she was among three girls to be screen tested for a role in a popular drama series ‘The Young and The Restless’.
This was a role that was bigger and greater than what she had been looking for. Brenda repeatedly thanked God for the opportunity.
On the day of the screen test Brenda found out just how unqualified she was when she met one of the other girls to be screened for the role. The girl was more beautiful, polished and had an impressive resume in film and television. When Brenda told her she had no experience, the girl incredulously asked how she then got invited for the Screen test. Brenda simply told her “God got me here.”
Before getting on the stage Brenda had to take confusing last minute corrections from the director, some of which she didn’t understand. Rather than panic, she began to confess ‘I’m more than a conqueror.’ She then recalled Psalm 5 which said that the righteous are covered with favour as a shield.
As she praised God under her breath, all anxiety disappeared and peace flooded her heart. Surprisingly, when it was her turn, she acted her scene better than she could have imagined.
The following day, her phone rang and the casting director greeted her with “Congratulations!’ She then informed Brenda that she had been chosen for the role!
After the call, both in tears and laughter, Brenda got down on her knees and thanked God for this incredible miracle.
Though she was unqualified, God had allowed her to land a major role on the well-known soap opera, which soon made her to become an overnight celebrity.
Today, Brenda continues to share her faith through her books and other media platforms.

As a believer, God has put something in you that gives you an advantage in life. It is called “favor.”
God’s favor will give you positions you did not qualify for and things you didn’t deserve. It will take you from obscurity to notoriety, and from the background to the foreground.
Indeed God has positioned the righteous for success in life, by clothing him with favor as a shield.
When you are in right standing with God, His favor will elevate you above others and bring you into new levels of prominence, influence and credibility.
Through redemption, every believer is destined to be a trailblazer and pacesetter. We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.
Though we may sometimes face giants in our journey, because we are born of God, we are born to always overcome.
This is why you should never bow to the winds of opposition or cooperate with your problem by giving up. As a child of God, defeat should never be part of your vocabulary. Failure should never be part of your options. You serve the God who never fails and He is committed to always giving you the victory.
Therefore keep your faith strong by focusing on the Word and blessing the Lord at all times.
Certainly, in this month of May, it is our set time to experience unprecedented grace, mercy and favor..

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for clothing me with favor and taking me to unprecedented heights in my endeavors. Certainly, through Christ I can do all things and exceed every expectations in Jesus Name. .

Psalm 102:13-16 ‘Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.’

During World War II, Hitler’s army planned to round up the Jews in Denmark on October 1, 1943, and apply the ‘Final Solution’ to them..
But what rather took place has come to be known as the miracle of the Oresund. The Oresund is the narrow river separating Denmark and Sweden.
Across this river, the people of Denmark helped many Jews in their country to escape to Sweden.
Surprisingly, at the helm of this rescue operation was a German officer named Georg Ferdinand Duckwitz. He was serving in Denmark at that time and after learning of Hitler’s evil plan, he risked his life to help the Jews escape. He was the highest-ranking German officer to be involved directly in the rescue of Jews during the war.
Putting his career and even his life on the line, Duckwitz began frenzied campaign to rally the people of Denmark to save the Jews.
In September 1943, the German army began arriving in Denmark to round up the Jews and put them in ships that would take them to concentration camps where most would die. But before the German army could begin the round-up, the people of Denmark moved quickly, and over the next few days, smuggled their Jewish neighbors to Sweden. Secretly, they made more than 700 trips across the river Oresund, to take the Jews to safety..
Due to this, 99% of Danish Jews survived the war.
Indeed the Jews in Denmark enjoyed amazing favor from their host country.
Georg Duckwitz, the German officer who organized the rescue, was later honored by the nation of Israel. On 21 March 1971, the Israeli government named him Righteous Among the Nations and included him in the Yad Vashem memorial.

It is truly amazing that a highly placed German officer like Duckwitz , would intervene to save the Jews who were considered the enemies of his country. Certainly, when it is God’s set time to favor you, even your enemies can be used to bless you.
Sometimes we may worry about how we are going to survive, or how we are going to get through certain situations, but we have to learn to trust in God’s divine mercy. God is not limited in how He will save us. He can raise help for you from strange quarters. He can use the least expected people to come to your aid.
Just as the ravens fed prophet Elijah, God can use unconventional ways and most unlikely people to meet your needs.
God cares for us more than we can ever care for ourselves. This is why Apostle Peter writes ‘Cast all your anxiety upon Him for He cares for you.’
As long as you sincerely serve God, you don’t have to worry about how your provisions will come. God can assist you even through people who were meant to resist you.
Truly, God has our lives well-ordered in His hands.

Isaiah 49:15-16 says ‘Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;’

In this month of May, it is indeed God’s set time to favor us. In this new season of mercy and favor, we shall be experiencing inexplicable miracles, signs and wonders.
Everything that has been a set-back and a hindrance is about to turn around for your good. Help will arise for you from strange quarters. In the place of frustration God is bringing forth joy and laughter. God will cause doors of breakthrough to open up to you, crooked places shall be made straight and the hidden riches of secret places shall be given to you.
Let us therefore keep blessing the Lord at all times throughout this month, because He is set to move supernaturally in our favour and take us to glorious new heights.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the good plans You have for me this month. I know that even right now Your grace, favor and mercy are at work in my life to take me to glorious new heights in Jesus Name.

Smith Wigglesworth was born in 1859 to a very poor family. His father did manual labor, for very little pay. Smith himself began working as early as six years of age, to help with the family income. By seven years he was working in a woolen mill twelve hours a day.
In this life of deep poverty, Smith’s grandmother introduced him to Christianity which made all the difference in his life.
After his conversion,
Smith hungered in his heart to know more of God.
As he grew older he became involved with the Salvation Army where he met and later married his wife. Together they opened a Church in their town.
However, despite his former spiritual fervency, a time came when Smith’s passion began to grow cold towards the things of God. He became more involved in his plumbing business and left his wife to take care of the spiritual things. In this moment of spiritual coldness, one day, God opened his eyes to see how he had backslidden.
Smith became repentant and after spending time in fasting and praying, he became even more fervent in spirit. He would become so dedicated to God’s Word that wherever he went he always carried a copy of the Bible. He never felt fully dressed until he had the Bible with him. He often told his hearers “First, read the Word of God. Second, consume the Word of God until it consumes you’
Also he never went more than 30 minutes without praying and he often spent time fasting for the salvation of souls.
His commitment to spiritual growth eventually led to the great manifestation of the mighty power of God in his ministry that shook the world and ushered many into God’s kingdom.

Through God’s grace, Smith experienced restoration, refreshing and renewal in his spiritual life.
It is indeed God’s will that we live spiritually fervent lives.
But though our spirit may be willing sometimes the flesh becomes weak and weary.
We need the grace of God to keep us constantly fired up and panting after the affairs of His kingdom.
Grace is the divine help of God that shows up when we are at our wit’s end.
The grace of God works in our lives to give us a second chance and establish supernatural turnarounds.
Biblically, the number 5 symbolizes grace. Since today marks the beginning of the fifth month of May, we can say we have come to a new season of grace.
In this new season, the Blood of Jesus will enable us to overcome every hindrance in our spiritual journey.

Revelation 12:11 says ‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.’

Through the Blood of Jesus we shall surely overcome every thing that tries to stop us from experiencing God’s best for us.
In this fifth month we shall be engraced, renewed and restored to a place of spiritual fervency and power.
By God’s grace we shall overcome every attempt of the enemy to keep us on the floor and ascend to greater heights of destiny.
Therefore on this first day of the month, let us give God sincere thanks for the great and mighty things He is set to do.
Certainly, throughout this month, God will be doing for us exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ever ask, think or imagine through His grace at work in our lives.

PRAYER;
Lord, by reason of Your grace, I thank You for ushering me into a new season of ease and peace. Thank You for Your goodness, favor and inexplicable blessings that surround me in Jesus Name.

The healing anointing and miracle mantle that marked Kathryn Kulman’s ministry are still inspiring believers around the world today. She has come to be known as one of the most prominent woman evangelists who ever lived.
However she endured and overcame much to be able to leave this legacy. Her life was marked by triumph and tragedy. Kathryn faced overwhelming attacks in her ministry. She faced legal battles, a painful divorce, criticisms and at a point an anti-anointing spirit rose up through city leaders who once celebrated her. Suddenly, one by one, they turned their backs on Kathryn. That was almost enough to silence her voice. But God made her stand.
She was able to overcome and stood out as one of the key players in the 20th-century Church.
The call of God upon her life was so strong that nothing seemed to stop her from fulfilling it.
Once when she was on a talk show in Dallas Texas, an interviewer asked Kathryn ‘What would you say to a woman who aspires to be a woman preacher?’
Her answer shocked the woman who was interviewing her. Kathryn said ‘Don’t do it, don’t do it. If you have not already heard from God don’t do it. If you have never had a real call from God don’t enter ministry. But if you have had a real call from God, no matter the cost do it. One not called can never find enough excuses for staying in ministry, but one called can never find a way to leave.’
Assurance of God’s call upon her life, made Kathryn to triumph and persevere in taking the saving and healing message of Jesus Christ to her generation.

When God’s call is genuinely upon you, it will enable you to triumph always.
Despite the fierce battles, divine grace will carry you through and cause you to keep getting up and going forward.

The fiery trials that test our faith, is why it is important to hear clearly from God before stepping out into any venture.
Taking time to hear God is like digging deep to build your house upon a rock.
When the storms, rain and winds come, having heard from God gives you the confidence to withstand and overcome
The truth is that great destinies attract great battles. The intensity of the attacks is often an indication of how important you are in God’s plan because the enemy only fight what he fears.
But no matter what you may face, always remember that your destiny is greater than your disaster.
When you maintain strong faith in God, He will cause the things fighting you to backfire and only end up pushing you forward and further into your next level.
As you remain connected to Christ through a deep spiritual walk of obeying His Word, fervent prayers and fellowship with the Spirit, surely you will never fall..
Therefore regardless of where you may find yourself today, keep your focus on building a strong relationship with God. The faithful One who called you will surely do it and bring you to your ordained place of greatness.
No matter how the enemy tries to stop your destiny, the gifts and callings of God inside of you will supersede the resistances against you.
What God has started in your life, He is able to complete it.

Having come to the last day of April today, we have truly triumphed by the Blood of Jesus. Let us bless the Lord for His divine preservation, protection and provisions upon our lives. And as we keep praising Him, certainly, He will take us to even greater heights in the coming months.

PRAYER
Father, I thank You for the grace for perseverance no matter the challenges that I may face. In this season, I thank You that through the Blood of Jesus I have constant victory in Jesus Name.
