DAILY READING; Romans 15:14-33; 1 Samuel 29-31; Psalm 71

On June 25, 1950, one of the greatest soccer upsets of all time took place at the World Cup, held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. It was a World Cup match so astonishing that it was dubbed the “Miracle on Green.”
During this match, an American team composed largely of amateurs defeated its more polished English opponents.
The English team at the time were known as the “Kings of Football,”. They boasted a record of 23 victories and its members were professional footballers culled from England’s domestic leagues.
The Americans, by contrast, had lost their last seven international matches. The team was hastily assembled just days before the match against England. The ragtag bunch of American amateurs included a dishwasher, two mailmen, a teacher and a mill worker. British newspaper called the American team “the strangest team ever to be seen at the World Cup”. The Belfast Telegram described them as hopeless. Even the coach of the American team, Bill Jeffrey, agreed with the press, telling a British reporter, “We have no chance.”
So certain was the English team of an easy win that they had their star player, Stanley Matthews, who was widely regarded as the best in the world, sit down during the game.
The game began with the Americans in defense mode as the English team assailed them with one clear shot after another. However, the American goalkeeper, Frank Borghi, who was a hearse driver in St. Louis, managed to stop them from scoring. Finally, with less than 10 minutes to go in the first half, the Americans scored the only goal of the match. Although England lashed back with a battery of shots throughout the second half, yet they could not score.
So the game ended with the ragtag American team defeating the highly professional English team.
This victory was so unbelievable that when the score was telegraphed to Newspaper editors in London, they assumed it was a typing error and instead of reporting England’s loss of 0-1, they printed the result as England winning by ‘10-1.”
When the true result became known, football fans could not fathom how the ragtag American team like Biblical David could have defeated the giant English team, known as “King of football’. Thus the match became known as “miracle on green”.

When David faced Goliath, he was just an ordinary teenager with no military training, he couldn’t even handle wearing an armor. All he had was a slingshot and five stones.
Though he was grossly unqualified to fight a seasoned soldier and giant as Goliath, David knew that with God on his side, he had all it took to win the battle.
Truly, victory is not about what you have, but about Who you have. You may be ordinary, an amateur, unqualified, but with God on your side, all things are indeed possible! When God’s anointing is upon your life, you can overcome impossibilities and achieve incredible results.
Before experiencing greater open doors, you may face giants that may appear bigger than what you can handle. Don’t take the easy way out and run from those challenges.
When a new door opens and you know it’s a God-given opportunity, don’t be intimidated or feel unqualified because it looks complex and bigger than you.
If you don’t confront those possibilities you may miss the greatness God has destined for you. On the other side of that challenge awaits a new level of your destiny. Therefore don’t give up because of difficulties or oppositions.
Be determined to press forward because where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Too often we make lists of excuses why we can’t win but you cannot conquer what you don’t confront. Any problem you try to excuse or run from, you end up empowering it.
But when you decide to confront those giants, God will give you the grace, the strength, and the power to do what you couldn’t do on your own.
To overcome your giants, fortify yourself with prayers, renew your mind through in-depth study of God’s Word and build up your faith through fellowship with the Spirit.
Always, remember that your strength doesn’t lie in yourself, but in God. Certainly, through Christ you can do all things! Though you may face Goliaths of financial troubles, sickness, relationship issues etc, Christ is able to cause you to triumph always and emerge victorious.
When you fight by God’s help, you will be amazed how you can overcome those intimidating mountains and rise to heights that you could never have dreamed of.

DAILY READING; Romans 15:1-13; 1 Samuel 27-28; Psalm 70

Wallace Johnson was born into a poor farm family at Edinburg, Mississippi. He earned his first dollar at age seven by picking cotton. As a teenager he learned carpentry and later got a job in a sawmill as a building supply salesman.
This was during the time of the economic depression in America, and so Wallace carefully held on to his job. Though, the wages were small, at least it helped to provide for his family.
One day when he got to work he was shocked to find himself fired from the job. He was devastated as he did not know what would happen to his family, if he could no longer provide for them.
However, despite the bleak future that seemed to face him, as a Christian, he believed that God would see him through.
Instead of seeking another employment, he chose to take a step of faith by starting his own business.
He did not know what the future held, but he trusted God to make a way. So at age 38, he mortgaged his home and with a $250 loan, he went into the construction business. Through faith and hard work, within a few years he saw rapid progress. Soon his business became the largest and most successful in his town. In 1952, he joined with a partner to form the motel chain, Holiday Inn. Together, they built one of the largest motel chains in the world.
Johnson gave credit to God for his amazing success.He once said: “I am totally dependent on God for help in everything I do. Otherwise I honestly believe I would start to fall apart in months.”
Wallace Johnson insisted there be an open Bible in each of the rooms of their motel.
He said the reason for having a Bible in every motel room was to help people find Jesus and the solution to their problems.
He and his wife Alma were deeply involved in their Church in Memphis, Tennessee and also gave liberally to Christian causes.

Times of crisis can be times of opportunities.
Problems can open the door to a fresh start and a new phase of life. God’s favor is the golden key that can open any door locked against you and usher you into a glorious new future.
Indeed God’s favor is a powerful, supernatural force that can move mountains of impossibilities and turn tragedies to triumphs. As long as your hope is in God, He will help you and never allow you to be ashamed or disgraced. [Isaiah 50:7]
When it seems you have come to the end of the rope, God will open to you doors of hope and enable you to cope. Always remember, that He is the God of the mountain, and the God of the valley. He is always there, He never leaves you nor forsakes you. Even in times of trials and tribulations, God knows how to use what was meant for your destruction and turn it around for your construction. While the enemy may think he is hindering you, he would only end up being used to promote you.
In the game of life tables are not static. Tables can be turned around at any time. Therefore today, trust God to step in to alter the seasons and circumstances in your favor.
Refuse to accept the enemy’s negative verdicts but rather trust that God is in perfect control of your life. God is working even now to turn the test into your testimony and open up new frontiers and brighter possibilities for you.
Believe God’s Word in Exodus 14:13 which says
“Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”
Certainly, an end has come to the Egyptians of financial troubles, sickness, family problems, delays, relationship issues etc. You are stepping into greater open doors. Those things that look like problems today, God will cause them to ultimately serve His purpose in your life. As Romans 8:28 says, it is all working together for your good…

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for being my Way-maker in every situation. I know You are at work in my life right now, turning things around, opening up greater doors and ushering me into bigger opportunities in Jesus Name..

Dr. Mark Seery is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University at Buffalo, New York.
In 2010, Mark Seery and his colleagues reported the result of their study, titled “Whatever Does Not Kill Us: Cumulative Lifetime Adversity, Vulnerability and Resilience,”
They studied a group of more than 2,300 people by asking them to report their lifetime exposure to a list of negative events. In this study the subjects were assessed repeatedly from 2001 to 2004.
Dr. Seery and co-researchers found that some of those exposed to adverse events reported better mental health and well-being outcomes than people with no history of adversity.
They came to the conclusion that while exposure to adverse life events can predict negative effects on mental health and well-being of some people, at the same time they also found that the case was different for some others. For these people, adverse experiences turned around to make them stronger. It helped to breed subsequent resilience in them, with resulting advantages for mental health and well-being.
For this group of people, past adversity ended up helping them to persevere in the face of current stress.

As believers, it is our portion to triumph and become stronger in the face of adversities. A picture of the inner strength in us is reflected in Psalm 92:12 which says that the righteous will flourish like the Palm Tree.
Just like a palm tree, the righteous is destined to survive the storms of life, rise again, and keep prospering.
The destructive force of typhoons and hurricanes can bend the palm tree, even flatten it almost horizontal to the ground, yet it rarely can break it. Rather than weaken the palm tree’s root system, the storm ends up actually strengthening it.
This is a picture of the believers’ life. We are born to overcome the world. The truth is that God has equipped us with everything we need to be overcomers. Though the storms will come and winds will blow, yet through it all we are destined to be more than conquerors. Certainly, no weapon formed against us will prosper!
Though we may go through fire and through water, certainly, God will bring us out into a wealthy place.
(Psalms 66:12).
Despite the tough times, you will come back—even stronger than you were before. Indeed every setback will only serve to set you up for a greater comeback. What was meant for your harm God will turn it all around for your good.
God knew that you would experience times of being stretched and being compressed. However, He has designed the storms to end up making you better. You may bend, but you are getting right back up again!
God not only gives us the strength to bounce back, but He also promises to restore in our lives double for all our troubles. [Zechariah 9:12]
Sometimes, the reason for the storm, is because you are about to step into greater doors of destiny and therefore there are many adversaries.
However, the key to surviving and thriving through the tough times is being rooted in God. Time spent blessing the Lord through prayer and worship—regardless of your circumstances—will make you become grounded in faith, ready to weather any storm.
Through diligent study of God’s Word, we develop deep spiritual roots that make us immovable.
The Word births faith in our hearts that makes us unshakeable. While the world around us may be trembling in fear and anxiety, like Paul, we can boldly say ‘none of these things move me!’.
Our hope is in Christ the solid rock upon which we stand, while all other grounds are sinking sand.
Through Christ, we will keep flourishing even in the most difficult of times. Though the rain, wind and storm may come, like the house built on the rock, we will stand and never fall.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to stay rooted in Your Word and to always abide strong in faith. I know that You are too faithful to fail me, and no matter the trials and temptations, I will keep thriving, flourishing and rising higher in Jesus Name.

The largest and most powerful space telescope ever built is NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).
This powerful space telescope was recently launched successfully into space on December 25, 2021. It is the successor to the famous Hubble telescope which was launched in 1990 and remains in operation.
For decades, the Hubble Space Telescope provided spectacular images of the cosmos that earlier generations could only have dreamed of. However, the Webb Telescope, has been designed to do even better than the Hubble by studying the earliest stars and peering back farther into the universe’s past than ever before.
James Webb Space Telescope can peer at objects that are dimmer and farther than any observed before.
Thus far the first images received from James Webb Space Telescope are breathtaking as it reveals a multitude and variety of objects barely hinted at by the Hubble telescope.
These first images from the James Webb Space Telescope show the universe as bigger and more beautiful than ever imagined. They reveal galaxies and stars that are farther, fainter and older than any previously seen. They display nebulae and other familiar heavenly bodies in unprecedented clarity and detail.
These spectacular images have left scientists wondering about just how vast the universe really is. How many stars and galaxies does it contain? What kinds of variety and grandeur are yet to be revealed?
While scientists may marvel, as believers, we know that the beauty and vastness of the universe now being revealed has always been as created by God.
While the James Webb Space Telescope now provide dramatic pictures of deep space like no other telescope in history, yet its awesome pictures has not even scratched the surface of the vast wonders of creation.
These wonders show just how amazing and awesome our God truly is.

The beauty of creation speaks eloquent praise of God’s amazing power. When we look at all that God has made we are compelled to stand in awe and worship Him continually.
Just think about the quantity of energy that God has created in the universe. The sun alone gives off more energy every second than one billion major cities would produce in one year. Yet, our entire galaxy is 20 billion times more luminous than the sun.
Indeed we serve the God of wonders.
God is awesome not only in nature, but also in our lives too.
It is good to know that the same God who calls the stars by name also knows us by name.
Through His amazing love and grace, God has redeemed and transformed us to become sons of God destined to be wonders to our world.

We are God’s vessels, through which He wants to reveal His glory upon the earth. He wants our lives to manifest as miracles for men to see and ponder and know that indeed we serve the living God.
At a time of gross darkness in the world, it is God’s plan for us to arise and shine as lights in the world. God’s end-time agenda is for His glory to be so seen upon us that all the gentiles will be drawn to the brightness of our rising. At a time when the world structures are shaking and systems are collapsing, it is God’s desire to lift us up as solution providers and wonders to our world.
In the midst of the crisis of the end-time, God is set to display His manifold wisdom through the Church. Therefore let us get ready because it is our time to shine.
However, our shinning and manifestation as sons of God will be a direct function of the dominance of God’s Word in our lives. This is why we must continually keep our focus on God’s Word.
We are God’s battle axe and weapons of war, with which He will exhibit His signs and wonders upon the earth.
Let us therefore prepare to be usable vessels, through spiritual growth, maturity and discipline. Certainly as we rightly position ourselves through diligent study of God’s Word, fervent prayers and continual praise to God, He will do such amazing and mighty things through us that will establish us as wonders to our world.

PRAYER: Lord, You are indeed the God of wonders, thank You for Your miracles, signs and wonders in my life. Today, as I praise You, I thank You for opening amazing great doors for me and showing Yourself mighty on my behalf in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; •Romans 12; 1 Samuel 23-24; Psalm 67

In President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech on January 30th 2018, he honored a North Korean defector, for his indomitable will for survival that propelled his escape from his troubled country.
Ji Seong-Ho was 13 years old in 1995, when severe famine starved 3 million people to death in North Korea. Some of his schoolmates were among those killed by hunger. In March, 1996, Ji Seong-Ho himself almost died as he blacked out due to severe hunger and slipped from a moving train. He fell onto the tracks, where the train crushed his left leg and hand.
Despite being crippled, when he was 18 years, he used his crutches to cross into China in search of food and managed to find a few kilograms of rice.
On his way back, carrying the rice to help feed his family, he was captured by the local police. They took all his rice and tortured him severely despite his being handicapped. That injustice motivated him to decide to defect from North Korea. With his brother, they planned to escape.
Using crutches, hobbling on one leg, Ji embarked on a 6000-mile journey that took him through the jungles of Southeast Asia, across Laos, Burma, and eventually to Thailand, with the help of an underground network.
He and his brother separated not long after they arrived in China, so that if caught, they would not be both executed.
While crossing a steep mountain in Laos Ji thought he might die there in the jungle because he had no more strength left to carry on. Ji began to weep and prayed saying, “If there is a God in this world, please save me,” he cried.
Ji’s prayers were answered. God helped him and he made it safely to South Korea in 2006, where he reunited with his brother, who had also escaped. Ji converted to Christianity, with the firm belief that God helped him in his journey to freedom.
South Korea opened for Ji the door to a better life; he was granted citizenship, received a prosthetic leg from the government and achieved his dream of obtaining a university education. After his graduation, he founded a group called Now, Action and Unity for Human Rights. His group helps to rescue people from North Korean, providing safe passage for them to South Korea and helping them get established. Today, Ji Seong-ho has received several awards and international recognition for his work and is celebrated as a symbol of courage.

We cannot let inabilities and weaknesses be excuses to settle for mediocrity. Despite limitations, we are capable of accomplishing great things.
Ephesians 2:10 says ‘We are God’s workmanship”. It indicates our life is an ongoing process. Just because you are limping now doesn’t mean you can’t surmount mountains and arrive at your great destination.
Certainly, through Christ, we can do all things.
When the angel of the Lord spoke to Gideon, he called him a “mighty man of valor.” But Gideon felt very limited by the adverse conditions around him and began to give excuses; ‘my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house” (Judges 6:11-16)
When God stirred Gideon out of his inferiority complex, he went on to indeed do great things and deliver the people of Israel.
The truth is that you can do far more than you think yourself capable of doing. God has called you the light of your world and a city set on a hill, therefore don’t hide your light under a bushel because of feelings of inadequacy.
Whatever limitations may confront you, is not reason enough to hold you back from your great destination.
After having spent time in fasting and praying, now is the time to step out and begin to move with boldness into the greater open doors God has ordained for you.
It doesn’t matter what you may consider as weaknesses and shortcomings, through God’s help, you can overcome them.
We often make the mistake of going through life looking more at what’s wrong with us than we do looking at what’s right with us. There are already enough people and circumstances against you, so quit beating yourself up. Refuse the feelings of low self-esteem, inferiority, discontentment and discouragement. You are the child of the most high God, redeemed, forgiven, approved, and accepted by Him.
God is the master designer. He can use what may even seem negative to help you go further in life..
God has made you good for your situation. We need to see ourselves through Gods eyes. This is why it is important to seek God daily through His Word and receive His instructions to guide us on the amazing journey He has for us.
Certainly, you can do all things through Christ. By the help of the Spirit of God, there is nothing you cannot accomplish this year. Just stay in faith, trusting God.
Surely the faithful One that has called you, will do it. He will help you on your journey and take you to amazing heights you could never have imagined.
PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to keep thinking in line with Your Word so as to have the faith to step out and accomplish great things. I know indeed You can do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine in Jesus Name.

Delia Knox herself is someone who through faith in God overcame unimaginable odds.
Watching Delia on Television today, it is hard to believe she was bound in a wheelchair for 23 years.
Delia, became paralysed after a drunk driver hit her in 1987. Doctors told her she would likely be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. But Delia believed God still had great plans for her and despite the paralysis, she was determined to live her life.
As an accomplished Gospel singer, she refused to give up and continued her work in the music ministry, singing from her wheel chair.
She later got married and in August of 2010, she and her husband attended a Church conference. During the service, the conference host began to pray for Delia. As he prayed, Delia began to feel sensations in her legs for the first time in over two decades. As she felt the power of God come all over her, Delia suddenly stunned everyone as she got up and started walking!
After believing for 23 years, finally, she saw the manifestation of God’s promises being fulfilled right before her eyes.
Her healing opened the door to expanding the scope of her ministry, and since then Delia has been singing God’s praises all over the world.
Today, Delia is recognized as an ordained Minister, anointed Psalmist, and Teacher of the Word of God.

God will not disappoint the expectations of those who put their trust in Him .
In Mark 5:25-34, the woman with the issue of blood expected a miracle and she kept pressing forward to touch Jesus. It wasn’t easy pushing through the hostile crowd that saw her as unclean, but she didn’t give up. Something inside told her that it was her due season. Even though she was weak from losing blood, She knew she had to go on till she touched Jesus. Because she didn’t give up, in the end she got her miracle.
Likewise, we need to press forward, despite discouraging situations .
In this new month of February we are in a season where things are about to suddenly change. Our recent spiritual investment in fasting and praying will result in the manifestation of sudden miracles.
Certainly it is our reaping season. Because Joy is the sickle of harvest, this is the time to praise God like never before. In every situation keep blessing God and keep judging Him faithful.
Surely, your expectation will not be cut off.
It doesn’t matter how contrary things may seem right now, what matters is what God’s Word has said. This is why we keep thanking Him because we know He is the God of all possibilities.
As long as we walk in line with His Word, we can be sure He will fulfill His promises in our lives.
According to Deuteronomy 28:1-2, as you keep obeying God’s Word, His blessings will chase you down and overtake you. Overtake means “to take by surprise”.
Certainly, God is going to surprise you this month. He will exceed your expectations.Your cup is about to run over. God will amaze you with His goodness.
So remain expectant, keep believing and keep praising God because you are about to experience an overflow.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to keep my focus on Your Word at all times. I know that what You have promised to do, You shall surely perform in my life in this month in Jesus Name.

1 Corinthians 15:58
‘Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.’

DAILY READING – Romans 11:1-24; 1 Samuel 20; Psalm 65.

Stanley Praimnath was born in Guyana, and came to America in 1981. In 1983, he got born-again and focused on serving the Lord. Few years later he married a pastor’s daughter and began to help his father-in-law in church planting. Afterwards, he started a new career with Fuji Bank and was appointed as Asst. Vice-President. He ran all of Fuji Bank’s operations on the 81st floor of the World Trade Center, Tower 2.

Praimnath used every opportunity to grow spiritually and during lunchtime, he would sit at his desk, reading his Bible and praying. On the morning of September 11, he was standing near his desk, with his Bible on top of his desk. As he looked outside, suddenly he saw a huge plane, flying straight towards him. Realizing it was going to hit the building and knowing there was no way to escape, in desperation Praimnath cried out to God for help and dove under his desk. The plane slammed into the building with immense force. The bottom of the wing sliced through his office and blocked his office door.

There was a massive fireball as the major part of the plane blew up. The only desk that stood firm was the one where Praimnath was hiding under with his Bible on top of it. Other than his desk, every other piece of office furniture was smashed like match boxes. Part of the floor above his head collapsed downward. A fiery inferno was raging on the floors above and also fire had broken out on his floor, some distance away. But in Praimnath’s office, there was no fire, which was a miracle.

When Praimnath stood up covered by debris, he realized there was no way out of his office, because the plane’s wing had blocked the only exit door. Praimnath let out an anguished cry to the Lord with every fiber of his being: “Lord, send somebody to help me…!” His cry was heard by Brian Clark, an executive vice-president with Euro Brokers, who was walking down the only passable staircase from the 84th floor with six other people. Clark felt compelled to turn around and answer the call for help. That decision saved his life, because the others who went ahead hoping to escape to the roof, eventually perished.

Clark located Praimnath and helped him to come out of the blocked office. As they worked their way down 80 flights of staircase they saw terrible sights of mayhem and destruction. They eventually made it outside of the tower. As they hurried away, they had only walked two blocks when the entire South Tower came crashing down.

The 9/11 Commission investigating the events, later found out that Stanley Praimnath was the only known survivor from the impact zone of Tower 2. His office had been directly hit by the plane, yet God had sheltered him and miraculously delivered him against all odds.

Truly, our serving God is never in vain. Stanley Praimnath’s miraculous survival was not by chance. Life is not determined by chance; but by the choices we make. Our degree of commitment in seeking God determines the level of grace we encounter in life’s race. How dedicated we are in serving God, determines how dedicated He will be in matters that concern us. Certainly, when our focus is serving God, He will be committed to saving us. This is because God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Indeed, seeking and serving God puts a seal of divine exemption upon our lives. This is very reassuring especially as we step into this month of February, which is a crucial and pivotal month in our nation.

Having sought God diligently in the season of fasting and praying, let us be assured of our divine rewards as the events of 2023 unfold. Surely, we have stepped into our season of greater open doors, both as a nation and as individuals. It is our time to experience a new dawn and unprecedented breakthroughs.

The Blood of Jesus, shed at Calvary has repositioned us for triumph and victory over every opposition. Our covenant position gives us divine confidence that God will surely see us through, in every situation.

Therefore, as we step into this new month, let our focus be on praising God because He is set to do great and mighty things for us. Surely, we are going to see the outstretched arm of God over our nation and over our lives in this crucial month. And when God’s hand is stretched forth, who can turn it back?

Praise is a verbal expression of faith in God and faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Therefore, on this first day of February let us deliberately give God worthy praise, for the signs and wonders we are about to see. By the Blood of Jesus, it is certainly our time to sing a new song and shout for victory, because our God has given us the land!

PRAYER
Lord, I thank You for the great things You are set to do in my life this month. I know that You are indeed a rewarder of them that diligently seek You. As I praise You today, I thank You for supernatural victories in Jesus Name.

In May 2010, Nashville suffered torrential rains and catastrophic flooding which would be remembered for many years as the storm of the century.
The flooding devastated areas throughout Nashville and surrounding counties, taking lives and destroying homes, businesses, and roadways.
One of the amazing survival stories reported in the News was that of Joe and Colleen Coury.
On May 1st, 2010, as the citizens of Nashville, Tennessee, braced themselves for the historic flooding, Joe and Colleen Coury realized they had very little food. So they decided to rush to a nearby grocery store with their son, Clay to stock up.
But it was a gross miscalculation. On their way back, they found the road covered by an overwhelming surge of water. As Joe tried to drive through, the rising water only grew stronger and began to submerge their Chevy Trail Blazer.
At that point, Joe rolled the window down and they all climbed up on the hood of the car. As the water kept rising higher, their chance of survival appeared quite slim. Joe who was his mother’s only child, then brought out his cellphone and called her, to tell her one last time that he loved her just in case he didn’t make it.
But when his mother got the call from Joe, she refused to believe their situation was impossible, because she believed in the power of prayer. So she called people in their church and they immediately started a prayer chain, asking God for a miracle.
In the meantime, surrounded by miles of rising water, survival appeared impossible for Joe, his wife and son. But they kept praying over and over again. As a heavy surge of water slammed the vehicle, Joe was sucked under the water and disappeared from sight. But he managed to grab a tree and held on for dear life.
Soon the water pulled the vehicle under, forcing Colleen and Clay to jump into the water. As the current carried them, somehow Joe was able to grab them and help them hold on to the tree.
As the water swirled dangerously under them, they continued fighting to hold on for over an hour.
When all hope seemed lost, suddenly, they saw three Emergency Service workers braving the water and coming toward them in a row boat.
Joe, Colleen, and Clay all caught the life jackets thrown to them, and were pulled into the boat with a drag line and were eventually rescued to safety.
Their amazing survival was indeed a true testimony of the power of prayer.

Rivers that cannot be crossed and mountains that cannot be scaled can all be easily leveled through the power of prayer.
Prayer is a powerful force that ignores the word ‘impossible.’
The very word, impossible, does not exist in the realm and sphere of God because all things are possible with and for Him.
Truly, God works miracles when we pray.
Having spent time praying this month, we can be sure that impossibilities have been turned into possibilities for us.
We serve the prayer answering God. And as long as we have prayed according to His Will, we can be sure of answers. Certainly, to every sowing season, there is a reaping season.
Our labor in prayer has not been in vain. As we have been praying, things have been shifting in the spirit realm. Very soon we are going to start seeing the manifestations of all we have prayed for.
Our fervent prayers have made available power that will produce glory in our lives. Indeed fasting and praying are part of the price we pay to see the manifestation of glory.
Jesus was on the mount of prayer when His glory was revealed and the disciples saw it. Moses was in the mountain of prayer when the glory of God was revealed to him.
Having sown the seeds of fervent prayers this month, let us get ready to begin to see glorious manifestations. God is about to amaze us with His goodness. We shall see favor, health, increase and be ushered into a greater levels of our destiny.
Surely, God will exceed our expectations. We shall see doors open before us that will be bigger, better and more rewarding than anything we could ever have imagined.
Having come to the end of the month of January today, let us wholeheartedly thank God for how far He has brought us on this journey and for His grace that has sustained us.
Let us maintain an attitude of faith and continuously give glory to God because we are indeed about to see an amazing harvest of miracles.

PRAYER: Lord, I know that by Your grace my labour in prayers in this season shall never be in vain. Surely, I am emerging with greater power to accomplish exploits and experience amazing greater open doors this year in Jesus Name. .

The Redeemed Christian Church of God [RCCG] was founded in 1952 by Pastor Josiah Akindayomi. When he went to be with the Lord in 1980, Enoch Adejare Adeboye took over in 1981 as the new General Overseer. At that time, the Redeemed Christian Church of God had only 39 parishes.
Years later, the RCCG experienced amazing growth, spreading to over 198 countries, with over 32,000 parishes in Nigeria alone. There are at least 732 branches in the UK and Ireland, where it is the fastest growing Pentecostal church.
How did that happen?
The rapid growth of the Church was in answer to Pastor E. Adeboye’s desperate desire for God to expand his territory. During his first five years as General Overseer of RCCG, he tried all he could to see the Church expand, but didn’t gett any results.
One day, he heard about Paul Yonggi Cho in South Korea who had the world’s largest single congregation.
So Adeboye decided to visit South Korea for the first time to attend David Yonggi Cho’s prayer conference and find out things for himself.
When he attended the Church’s Sunday service, he found that the 50,000 capacity auditorium, could not contain the Church’s population of about half a million, so they were having seven services on Sundays in an attempt to contain the crowd.
Pastor Adeboye was shocked to hear Paul Yongi Cho make an announcement asking congregants who came that Sunday to skip the next Sunday in order to give room for other congregants who couldn’t attend that Sunday.
When the international delegates at the prayer conference were taken to visit the Church’s prayer mountain, it was an opportunity for Adeboye to pour his heart out to God.
Adeboye was so burdened that he prayed for hours, and upset the other delegates in the bus, because he kept them waiting for him to come down.
When he returned back to Nigeria, his experience at South Korea birthed in him the hunger to see a revival.
As he began to pray and follow divine instructions, which included
the spread of many model parishes, RCCG began to experience enormous expansion. The growth was so great that years later, Yongi Cho himself invited Adeboye to come to fellowship and pray for him.
The first time Adeboye went to South Korea he was an unknown delegate, who could not gain access to see Paul Yongi Cho, but this time around, he was going on the special invitation of Paul Yongi Cho himself, who had seen the amazing way God was expanding RCCG.

In the genealogies of the Old Testament, there was a man called Jabez, who dared to ask God to expand his territory.
The name of Jabez meant “trouble, sorrow, heartache.”
Based on his name, it can be easy to imagine that his life was full of pain, troubles and disappointments. But instead of settling with these limitations, Jabez believed that God could do great things in his life.
The thing that made Jabez stand out in the Bible is that he was bold enough to ask God to open greater doors for him.
1 Chronicles 4:19 says Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, ‘Oh, Lord, bless me indeed and expand my territory. Keep Your hand on me,”
The Bible says “And God granted him what he requested.”
God blessed him and gave him a change of story.
We learn from Jabez that pain can push you towards your greatest breakthroughs. You can either live with the name and the reputation life tries to enforce on you, or you can decide to ask God for greater things.
When you stretch your faith, when you get a vision to enlarge and expand your influence, it can open the door to an amazing future. .
Therefore, instead of settling with uncomfortable situations, we should
rather look for the turnaround trigger. There is something we can do that will suddenly turn everything around. And often the key is prayer.
Just as Jabez prayed and God turned around his situation and enlarged his territory, so can it be for you.
There is always a way out. Do not settle for less. No matter the limitations the enemy tries to place on you, determine that you will experience growth, expansion and the glorious future God has ordained for you. Ask the Holy Spirit for the wisdom to turn your stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
Today, let us begin to praise God for what He is set to do. Certainly we are about to see God enlarge our territory, open greater doors of opportunity, increase our influence and move us forward into the abundant life He has for us this year!

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for answering my prayers and doing something great in my life this year. Thank You for great opportunities, great ideas, big breakthroughs and indeed giving me a supernatural change of story in Jesus’ Name.

George Mueller is widely considered one of the greatest men of prayer and faith since the days of the New Testament.
Born in the 19th century, he established four far-reaching, influential ministries, but what he is best known for today are the orphanages he built.
During a time in England when most orphans lived in miserable workhouses or on the streets, like Charles Dickens’s Oliver Twist, Mueller took them in, fed them, clothed them, and educated them. Through his orphanage in Bristol, Mueller cared for as many as two thousand orphans at a time—more than ten thousand in his lifetime.
As the number of Children grew larger, George Muller had to trust God to provide for them. Through this, he learnt the power of prayer and gratitude. In his journal he kept records of several instances of miraculous provisions, through prayer and thanksgiving.
He never made the needs of his ministries known to anyone except to God in prayer.
Mueller had over fifty thousand specific recorded answers to prayers in his journals, thirty thousand of which he said were answered the same day or the same hour that he prayed them. That is five hundred definite answers to prayer each year—more than one per day—every single day for sixty years! God funneled over half a billion dollars (in today’s dollars) through his hands in answer to prayer.

God is committed to answering us every time we sincerely seek Him. God knows the burdens we carry and the tears we sometimes shed. Therefore He has given us power in prayer and praise to receive whatever we desire.

Mark 11:24 says ‘Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.’

Truly,, you can have whatever you desire in accordance with God’s Word through the awesome privilege of prayer.
There are things we want to see done in our lives. But most times we resort to worrying rather than take them to God in prayer and supplication. The way not to worry about anything is to pray about everything! Tell God your needs and thank Him for His answers in advance. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace.
God indeed wants to give you the desires of your heart. Perhaps your desire is to enjoy divine health, be prosperous, start a business, get married, have good children, wife, husband, etc.
It’s not enough to just think about these things or merely wish they would happen one day.
We can do something to ensure their manifestation by engaging the weapon of prayers..Things begin to shift in the spirit realm when we pray passionately.
God’s power moves mightily in any situation saturated by prayers..
Through a committed prayer life, we can reign in life and live victoriously..
Therefore today, instead of worrying or fretting over any issue of concern, let us begin to exercise the awesome spiritual privilege of prayer to effect changes.
Especially in this period of fasting and praying , there’s a release of yoke-breaking anointing to deal with any barrier to our progress this year.
Let us therefore wholeheartedly engage ourselves in the required spiritual exercises.
Let us get into the depth of the Word, fervent prayers and deep worship. As we do so, surely we will see God’s power released in our lives in greater dimensions, resulting in supernatural change of levels and amazing testimonies..

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me a deeper hunger for prayer, praise and Your Word. Help me Lord to experience the revival that will lead to my desired change of story in Jesus Name.
