The history of the oil industry began in 1859 when Edwin Drake dug the world’s first petroleum well in Titusville, Pennsylvania.
Before he succeeded, Edwin Drake invested huge resources and endless labor into a search that spanned more than a year without results.
At that time, petroleum oil could only be collected in very meager amounts through a procedure of soaking it up from the ground with blankets. But Drake wanted to increase the level of oil production and so used an old steam engine to power a drill into the ground in search of oil.
His new method appeared ridiculous and people laughed at him and called him crazy. But he remained single-minded in his quest.
After months of unsuccessful drilling, eventually on August 27, 1859, Drake succeeded as huge amounts of oil gushed through his well! His idea had worked!
Before long he had a steady supply of about 400 gallons of pure oil every 24 hours. This was a stunning amount when compared to the meager outputs collected with blankets from oil seeps.
This launched the petroleum age and led to the Pennsylvania oil rush. The success of Drake’s well essentially created a new industry, that changed the world and created vast fortunes in the oil business.

Certainly, there is a reaping season for those who refuse to faint or give up on their goal. Setbacks or criticisms should never deter or stop us from pressing forward to victory.
Life is in times and seasons. Every time of challenge, is only a phase of life. It too shall pass. Every problem, they say, has an expiry date. Therefore do not let temporary hurdles stop your long distance race. 2 Corinthians 4:17 tells us that the present troubles and challenges we may encounter can’t compare to the weight of glory we will see at the end as we persist in following God’s will.
As long as you stay faithful, you will indeed be fruitful.
As the year seems to be rounding up, do not become disheartened because you have not yet seen your desired victory or progress. Rather than fret or worry, choose to bless the Lord at all times and stay strong in faith. Surely, your expectations will not be cut off.
As a believer, you have to have faith in God’s promise that says you shall eat the fruits of your labor. Isaiah 65:22–23 [AMP] says ‘And My chosen people will fully enjoy and long make use of the work of their hands. They will not labor in vain,’
By God’s grace, this last quarter will be our season of divine rewards and overflow. It will be our time to break forth into new levels of health, prosperity, opportunities, and promotions as God’s abundant blessing overflows in our direction.

PRAYER; Lord I thank You for granting me the grace to keep pressing forward. By Your grace I will not be discouraged nor give up. And as I keep praising You, I know indeed my miracle is on the way in Jesus Name.
